Circle K employee misconduct

Hello, I visited the circle K listed below on May 1st around 3:00 PM, and had a very unpleasant experience with the employee, Sandy.
Kangaroo Express at 320 N. State Rd. 415 Osteen, FL 32764. My receipt says Circle K 2806. Store phone number (407) 322-9934.

I went into the store and there was only Sandy working at the time, there was a line of 6 people waiting to check out because she was taking her time flirting with a customer that had already received his change and was just standing there talking to her. Then I spoke up and said calmly "can we move it along please" she then started to check other customers out, once it was my turn I asked to buy a pack of cigarettes she laughed at me and said "your going to hate me but I just cant sell you anything" I asked why she said because the person that tried to buy those particular cigarettes before me didnt have an ID and she thinks I'm buying them for that person. I told her I dont know what your talking about would you like to see my ID. She continued to be rude and laugh at me and say "sorry nothing I can do for you" I asked if I could speak to her manager, she said there was no manager there but she will call them for me if I wanted. All this while there is now 10 people waiting in line behind me. It was very embarrassing, and it seemed as if she was trying to be spiteful towards me because I made the comment to please move a long.

I am 29 years old, I can provide a copy of my identification if needed. There was no reason for her to treat me that way. I have been in that particular store many times before where I have personally NOT been asked for my ID from her, which shows she probably doesn't ask everyone else all the time either, which is another problem.
I would like to point out that this employee, Sandy, is very young, probably 18 years old and is just very inexperienced, she either needs to be re-trained, given a pay reduction, or fired. The female manager that works there is see often is always working hard, is very friendly and helpful to her customers and she deserves a raise. I dont know the managers name, but Sandy is rude and should seek employment not in customer service.

I think the cashier (Todd) is on something because he wouldn't sell a 65 years old man his beer. I think he is on something bad. I am a loyal customer who is in there 2-3 times a day sometimes to get coffee cigarettes and sometimes beer. And I saw that guy out of it and wouldn't sell a 65 year old man a beer I almost wanted to call the police to make sure...

Circle K service

Please consider this as a formal complaint against katamya representative ahmed eid this guy is an irrespective person who insulted me with a very bad attitude... I was buying a small bottle of water. Ti my little daughter whom was very thirsty out side with price 6le..and I gave him 20le..he says i can not be allowed to buy it as he has the remaining 14 notes in coins... I agree to take them... When i counted i fiund they are only 12...i began to blame him.. Why didn't he tell me they are only 12? He says i told you... You are not allowed. To buy it right now... I asked for his manager... He says i an the boss here and shot on me... I can not imagine how do you allow people to be your representatives.. With no single level of service... Please consider this as a formal complaint... Circle K restroom

Store 1571. The restrooms are disgusting! All 3 of them. The ladies restroom had toilet paper all over the toilet seat & in the floor. A couple of other ladies also refused to use that one which caused a line. My husband wouldn't even use the men's & that says a lot! When I asked the cashier what the store number was, she was rude! I tried to resolve it using the sign on the wall, but apparently I didn't enter the correct number?

I am complaining about the management of this store location. The manager who is always on duty constantly is on her phone or sitting outside in her car smoking. The customer service is terrible. She texts or is on the phone before she helps the customers. The cigarette smell is horrific. Constantly smells like a smoke factory. This store will never get my service again.

Customer service your employees are always sitting on there but behind that computer that's behind the counter they do not know how to count change the girl the other day didn't know whether I was given her $.33 or $.23 yesterday the girl didn't know how to count back $.83 you're out of product on your Coke Stand lottery tickets are never replenished so you're always out your employees are lazy they do not clean the parking lot and your stores are getting trashed here by the day i'm talking about Seville Florida Crescent city Florida Pomona Park Florida and we lack of Florida you choose either one of these stores same thing

Circle K employee

Hello would like to strongly address one of your night Employee at your location in San Antonio, Texas. 6003 Dezavala Road. As I was trying to cash in on my Scratch Tickets the cashier asked me how much on the ticket's? I replied can you scan them and tell me. He then said with a Smart [censored] remark. Well don't you know. I looked and him and replied it is your Job to scan them, he then said Of Course, you didn't even scratch off the barcode. Figures. I need to know so I can make sure I have enough money in my Drawer to cash out. Cause people come in here and expect 200.00 payouts. So we need to ask. It's a simple question that deserves a simple answer. As a customer I expect good service and respect when going into a convenient store. I understand that these Employee's only make minimum wage, but its not the customer's fault. They are in a [censored]ty mood or none the less bad one. I have never encountered this type of service. And was upset that I was treated this way! If Circle K is going to hire these type of individuals they need to have or make sure they can offer good customer service. Patience, Attentiveness, Smile, Greet, Empathy anything other than the Service I experienced. I just hope that this employee learns his lesson. Cause I know if the CEO was me in my shoes... I would of FIRED him on the spot!

Circle K gas purchase

On March 30th, 2019, I purchased gas at the Circle K store that is located at the Gunn Highway, and The Plantation intersection. I always buy gas here, it is easy access and on my way to work. I filled my tank about 7 AM ET, and then drove to my workplace at 3550 Buschwood Park Drive, my car sat in the parking lot for the day, and when I came out of the building to go home, I started my car and it quit immediately. I tried several more starts, and it continued to quit. I had the car towed to Bill Currie Ford on Friday 3/30/19, and after 2 days of running diagnostics, on Tuesday 4/2/19, the service manager called me and determined that the gas I had in the tank was contaminated, they had poured it into a bucket and tried to ignite it and it wouldn't burn. I want someone to contact me regarding this, I have called the number that was listed on my credit card statement to contact to try to resolve the issue, and no one has called me in return. I left several messages and talked to several phone representatives, and left messages for Paula in the Corporate office.

The contaminated gas caused me to be without my vehicle 5 days, and caused damage to my vehicle that needed to be repaired. I would like to have the repair costs, towing costs and cost of the gas that I was not able to use reimbursed to me.
Total = $1009.84 (Repairs 944.53 + gas that they dumped out 3$35.31 + Towing $30.00).

Circle K rude cashier

I stood in line for minutes mind you I'm the only person in the store while the clerk J. Ieshia talked on the phone and finally when she decided to acknowledge me she got upset because I would not speak to her. Apparently she doesn't know how to run a card as debit because I had to swipe my card as credit and when I hit the button for bad service she looks at me and says it don't matter. What type of people are you guys hiring. Circle K 2723454 is horrible what happened to all the friendly staff that used to work there. I'll just go down the street from here on out to Walmart

Circle K store manager is rude

Today is April 27th, This is the second Saturday morning that I have gone to your Circle K at 4401 Kernersville Rd and the Store manager (Rhonda) has been working the counter. I was purchasing lotto scratchoffs both times. The first time she took customers who came in after me and told me they had been waiting a long time and since all I wanted was lotto, I needed to wait. (Had she asked me as your other customer service people have done, I would have said yes and waited, but she offended me.) Today, it was only me and an African American lady wanting to get lotto tickets, and she rudely told us that we couldn't be taking up her time with getting lotto because she didn't get paid (which didn't make any sense to me). So when I told her the tickets I wanted, she let out an audible sigh as if I was getting on her nerves. I was so offended this time that even though I was going to get gas, I drove 2 miles out of the way to purchase my gas at the 7-11 down the street. She is the only employee at this store that has treated me so rudely in the five years I have been going to this store. I am going to take my business down the street when I see she is working. You all need to take the LOTTO business out of your store, or have her change her attitude. We are all paying customers whether we're getting a Big Gulp, or purchasing $40 in lotto tickets. Circle K bad customer service

I went into circle k today to buy me a Black and mild and I was told by the lady cashier that I needed to be Id after watching another customer of a different color come in and buy two packs of cigarettes and was not ID. and I feel
like that was wrong.. if you're going to ID people's id everybody not a certain group or race n it shouldn't matter if u know the person or not.. do ur job... Also when asked to speak to a manager the employee lie and said there was no manager there but when I told her I was going to report her she called a female coworker from the back and attempt to get her to play manager... But when I told that person I was going to report the cashier she went to say of if u do speak to the manager she going to say the same thing... Which I understand the whole id thing that wasn't the problem even tho I've been coming for a year and some months now and have never never been id for tobacco products... My problem is if u r going to id peoples id everybody no matter of race or if u know them or not

Circle K customer service

I have been waiting for 20 minutes for a receipt for my purchase. I paid with a debit card and the cashier did not give me a receipt. First she said I would have to wait until a co-worker counted the drawer down. Then she said her receipt machine was down. The two employees were very rude and I should have been informed before hand if I wasn't able to get a receipt. This is unacceptable. I am in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Hwy 98. It is 10:07pm.

Circle K ajava coffee refill vip card

2645 Columbia hwy N store sold me several coffee cards even though you discontinued program and told me I could still use cards. there is no expiration date or location restrictions where you can use on cards. i advised, I don't buy often still wasn't a problem according to management ( at that time). After several months, I was told I couldn't purchase anymore refills, they refused to punch or mark out refills that where paid for. I was rudely told to go to Columbia to get refills at that store ( doesn't state that on card). i called corporate many times left message ( no one called me back). i was scammed, lied too and what was done is fraud. You took my money and than refuse to refund it when you no longer will let me get cup of coffee. I'm OUT 35.00 dollars to say the least. I didn't realize this complaint site was available till looking to file complaint with Better Business Bureau. i took pictures of coffee cards however your system won't allow me to send it's in PDF form . I go to this location because it is close to my house. The cigarette sign says $2.99each when you buy 3. I have been there now 3 times and been being charged more than that I usually buy 6 packs. Not to mention that before I had to ring up my transaction separately because it would charge almost $2 more to ring them together. My number [protected]

Circle K free coffee with any donation

I work across from circle k on Metcalfe and Gloucester in downtown Ottawa. And I have a complaint about the free coffee with ANY donation numerous times I've offer 50c 40cents and I was told the donation is 1$ this seems like a scam to get money to me..in my option coffee isn't free if I'm being told to donate 1$ minimum so I want it to be clear is it any donation or a dollar donation cause your signs misleading it's not free for 1$

Circle K service

The woman's bathroom was filthy. I asked when it was last cleaned and the clerk said it had been done 3 hours prior to my visit. I wish I had taken pictures but I didn't. The bowl had feces crust all around it from front to back.

The floor and the outside of the bowl was so dirty with black grains of dirt and the floor you could feel it under your shoes. It was evident the bathroom had not been been kept up regularly.

If you think it is the employees job to clean up the feces of another person maybe you should apply for the job. You are truly a disgusting person. Someone should rub your face in the feces since you think that someone should clean up someone else's feces.

On 4/24/2019 Approximately 3:40 a.m I was in line getting gas I was trying to get my fuel reward card out of my wallet when Quinn, Kristopher told me to hurry up because the store need to be closed he was very rude only to me it was more people inside before me that where men he didn't say anything about the store to them I get gas there everyday some time...

Circle K cashier

I am at a Shell Circle K and I have gift cards purchased from a grocery store for $50 a piece. Typically I don't ever have to use more than one at a time because that's quite a bit of money and I only have a small Focus. However this time one of them ran low so I wanted to finish that off and then use some from another card. The cashier did not know that it was not possible to do that on the same transaction or if it is possible they certainly didn't know how. Never mind the lack of knowledge, what really was bothersome was when I said just do it in cash I don't have time for this because he couldn't do simple math to take the balance out of my cash, he rudely pushed my bag off to another cashier and said he's going to cash you out. When I asked why I'm trying to give you my money so I can go I really don't have time for this he became belligerent. I am so furious at the lack of customer service in the absolutely rude cashier that I honestly will be coming back to speak with his manager I want him fired. Never in my life have I seen someone so crass and horrifyingly bad at basic math and basic customer service. What a poor standard this has become. I will be finding another location until this employee is removed

Yay for punctuation. My words to the cashier were, "Take it out of cash, I don't have time for this". Forgive the punctuation issue but the comment after that (because he couldn't do simple math to take it out of my cash) was an opinion on here. It was not something said to the cashier or anyone else.

Your comments about me being rude and bratty are incorrect and out of line. I did not give this person any reason to treat me so rudely.

My comment about not having time was about me not actually having time, not about his abilities. If you were there for the context you would understand that. I do contend, as I did with another comment, that people can misunderstand that. However, that comment was made at the very end when the guy was already being rude to me without cause. It wasn't about pennies either. The balance on the card I wanted to use was almost the entire total of the transaction. The difference was about $9 which was nothing compared to the $30-plus that I was spending.

You are for some reason assuming that I treated this cashier poorly. He was rude to me the minute I was at the counter. I imagine he must have been in a bad mood from something but simply asking him to use the balance from one card and pay the remaining total from another was enough for him to be angry at me. There isn't anything wrong with using multiple forms of payment either.

I wasn't being obnoxious in any way and I didn't treat him as though he was incapable of his job. After I left the store and left my comments, yes I did state that I don't believe that he's capable because I don't believe that he is capable. I do not believe that he was trained properly. The reason for that is because while I agree that machines these days can go nuts oh, he didn't even try. He honestly stared at me like I was in his way and causing him trouble by being there to pay for my services. When asking how much to pay and using the balance of the card he couldn't figure out how to put it in and even admitted to not knowing how. It offered to pay the balance out of cash rather than a second card to try to help because I know that is a more common transaction when paying with multiple payments at any place of business like this. Since he didn't know how to enter the amount from the card and use the card first, I offered to give him the cash part first. He waited for me to calculate the difference in the transactions for him because he didn't know how to do that so I had to pull out my phone and do the calculation that way.

If I'm being perfectly Frank, the entire time that we had this interaction I acted as though it was normal for him to not know. I didn't become irritable or rude or belligerent towards him. His co-workers apologized profusely for his behavior because they didn't understand why he was being so rude to me. I didn't do anything to provoke the negativity from the cashier. My comment about not having time was at the very end when I said then just take it all out of cash because I don't have time for this. But even then, I didn't say it in a condescending way or in a rude tone at all. It was a simple basic statement that I didn't have time so use the cash instead.

I get that other peyote may not understand the context and world assume several things based on the main complaint. Unless I did a play-by-play of everything, a lot of this stuff could get misunderstood. However, it is not typical for someone to post a complaint and for other people to start attacking that person. I never treated the guy poorly but because of the way he treated me I will not return there. That's how poorly he treated the customer.

You were rude to him so you had it coming to you. You had no right to insult him by making a comment about his math skills and that rude comment about not being bothered. He has every right to refuse to serve you if you are going to behave like an arrogant brat. Not all people are good at math. Maybe when it comes to math he has some sort of learning disability? I hope one day you have a child with a learning disability and that that child is bullied just because of that. I hope that that child comes crying to you everyday because of bullies like you. I agree that he handled it wrong. What he should have done was slapped you across the face. But he is a better person that you are so that is why he did not give you what you deserve. He has every right to refuse you service. You want respect you treat others with respect.

Even before she made that comment calling him an idiot I was shocked at her behavior. WHat a disgusting person. I doubt she will be missed. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to do that. It is illegal to endanger people with seizure pranks. Even if the person is a disgusting human being. They have a right to safety as well. Though if someone were to get a seizure the OP would be the first to laugh at them and bully them. Though if you did manage to give them a seizure you can claim you are doing good far mankind. Especially the poor cashier that this person is bullying. I know if I had a child that was disabled I would talk to the manager and make sure that the customer is banned from the store. Since the customer is already banned from the store (by herself) this would not be an issue. And if possible I would have her charged with harassment and a hate crime. This is pure harassment. Posting about the employee in this manner both in the original review and comments is harassment.

I accept the comment about the "I don't have time for this" statement. Simply put, it was a statement about my time and not about his abilities but I'll accept that people can misunderstand that even though I didn't say it in a condescending way to the cashier. I didn't tell him use two cards as partial payment. I had told him "I need to use what's left on this card and the rest I'll put on a new card, however you would do that" (I've never worked for circle K so I don't know how their system would work regarding multiple forms of payment).

He couldn't figure out how to get it done and instead of asking for help from the guy next to him he got angry at me and told me that he can't do that because he doesn't know how. That's when I said to just take it out of cash because I don't have time for this. And that's when he shoved all my stuff in a bag and gave it to the other guy. The other guy honestly looked at him with one of those looks that says 'why are you doing this?' He asked him "why won't you just cash her out?" Even to his co-workers, the behavior was uncalled for. The guy that did cash me out was there for the entire transaction and kept apologizing for the other guy's behavior.

The statement "He probably doesn't" would help if you used context. I had said "I never said he had a learning disability. I don't know if he has one. He probably doesn't" in defense of everyone telling me I had said he had a disability. I didn't and I really don't think that he does. I think he wasn't properly trained. Why would that statement bother anyone? There's nothing disrespectful OR cruel about that. It's quite the opposite.

Not once was I disrespectful OR cruel.

Simple math is referencing the fact that he couldn't (or wouldn't) try to calculate the balance I would owe if I used the remainder of the card that was low. He actually waited for me to calculate that for him.

Simple customer service is referencing the fact that the only thing that went awry during the transaction was the fact that he didn't know how to perform the required action and became angry at the customer for it. I'm well aware that customer service itself isn't simple. I work in that field and know quite well what a headache it can be at times.

PS: I believe my learning disability would be related to internet searches and posting on the right forum... 😂

If you're talking about the "I don't have time for this comment" then read it again. I already contended with the fact that people can misunderstand how that was intended regardless of how it was actually said.

But when was it ever the customers job to provide better customer service than the associate that was supposed to be doing their job and wasn't?

You were rude when you made that time about him not being able to do simple math. He is only human with feelings like you so he gave you what was coming to you. He was not being rude to you. He had every right to refuse service to you when you made that rude comment. DId your parents not teach you better? You want good service and respect, you have to show it yourself. I agreed he handled it wrong. He should have given you a good slap across the face. But then he would be in jail even though you deserved it by behaving like an immature brat. You are rude yourself. Trust me you won't be missed. You need to work on your own people skills before criticizing others. I hope one day you have a developmentally disabled child and that child is bullied everyday in school because they cannot do simple math. THen again this will probably never happen because I doubt that any man would lay down with you and help you create a child. Grow up. Have you ever thought that maybe he has a learning disability in math. You started this while situation by poking making a comment about his math skills and making a rude comment. The only reason that he did not give you what you deserve( a slap across the face) is because he is more of a person than you are.

Hey genius. Read the post. I never treated him poorly. On my post I was upset and said that I feel like he couldn't do his job. I never treated him poorly but I did ask him to take it out of cash since he couldn't take it out of the card. Instead he threw my stuff to the other cashier and told me to get out. I didn't even raise my voice or say anything rude to him. I never once treated him less than respectful but here you are taking out on me when I'm the one that received bad customer service. Who's less human?

You need to get your facts straight. I never made a rude comment to him. I posted on this site that he couldn't do basic math and that he couldn't get his job done. I never said that to his face. I never even got angry at him, raised my voice, or said anything rude at all to him. His coworker (the one that he gave all my stuff to so he would cash me out instead) even looked at him and asked why he wouldn't cash out my transaction. Even his co-workers had no idea why he was being so rude to me because I was not rude to him. Don't assume that I said anything to him. You literally created a situation where people are bullying me online because somebody said something terrible to me! Why are you doing this?

Well I suppose if you actually read everything then you might understand the situation a little bit better but I don't expect you to put in that much effort when you're just trying to bully people online. I personally tried to leave the coworker is out of the original post simply because I had thought that I was posting on the Circle K complaints website not a public complaint website. In that I had expected that the Circle K management would be looking at this and not some [censored] like you. That being said, the co-workers had done nothing wrong and I wanted to leave them out of it if at all possible. If someone decided to contact me then I may have brought it up if they asked but otherwise would have left it alone. It isn't sad to be defending myself when you guys mostly got angry for a misunderstanding on your part. I seriously didn't do anything wrong to the cashier and did not deserve to be treated like I was somehow doing something wrong by trying to pay for my services with a smile and a polite attitude. The comment about not having time at the end was after a 20-minute attempt for this guy to take payment and me being late for where I was going. If you want to take that out of context then by all means do so, but I didn't do anything wrong so kiss my [censored]
