Chrpay.com Fraud transaction - Credit card charged

A page popped up saying that my computer was in danger that someone was trying to get my credit card and bank acct. and that i needed to sign up for the securtiy tool. I kept trying to delete it and it just kept popping up. i could not even go to my add or remove page. It put a block on every thing i try to do and changed my registry. I didn't get any software download.

I finally had to pay a local company $200 to fix my computer. I then found out the fake company charged my credit card $49.95. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, but the credit card company said they have to follow VISA dispute rules and can't contact the vendor for 30 days, so it could be 2-3 months before I hear anything back. By that time, this company will change names, phone numbers and do the same FRAUD to other people.

I tried contacting the phone numbers other people have tried and listed here [protected] and [protected]) NEITHER NUMBER IS A LEGITIMATE NUMBER and all you get is a recording in a foreign language then they hang up. My next step is to contact our state's attorney general (WI) and file a complaint with them.

Unfortunately, my company is also called Eurosoft and recently we have begun to receive phone calls from individuals who have had a similar experience to the one described above. In some cases, they were given our telephone number by their bank or credit card company after they called to complain about the charges on their accounts.

Please be aware: Eurosoft, Inc. in Cary, NC, is NOT in any way, associated with this scam or the company perpetrating it. We do not receive any payments to our accounts as a result of the charges incurred by the victims of this scam nor are we responsible for the software or viruses that were installed on your computers.

If your bank or CC company gives you our number: 919 -468 - XXXX, please inform them that they should try a little harder than a simple Google search. We can not help you uninstall the virus/software or help you recover your payment.

We regret that you have become the victim of online fraud and we wish you the best of luck in recovering your money and restoring you computer's functionality.

I got this on 3/8/10, locked up Explorer and had indications it was okay by Microsoft - even had a tech line e-mail (which I asked if they were actually MS or not - no answer). Couldn't go anywhere on internet; paid it and immediately couldn't do any administrator tasks (like firewall settings). Had to go to Safe Mode and System restore to the day before. Now disputing credit card charge. Definitely a scam.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: The above company hacked into my computer with a security pop up. The only way to get rid of it was to install it. After speaking with Microsoft, I loaded Stopzilla which gets rid of viruses. As a result it deleted the security package. On my credit card bill is an amount owed to the above company for $49.95 plus an International...

Chrpay.com illegal transaction

On the 06/03/2010 an amount of AU $68.57 (USD $59.95) was withdrawn from my credit card account.
I only noticed this when my statement arrived on 18/03/2010. I have never heard of this company and have definately not purchased anything from them. I have contacted my bank and they are sending me a dispute application form.
