Chili's--Trussville, AL review: Horrible Service 1

My husband, son and I went in on Monday, the 26th, for lunch around 1pm. The restaurant was apparently short staffed--which was obvious when it took us almost 15 mins to just be seated. Our waiter was horrible! It took forever to get our drinks and we ordered appetizers (queso and chips/salsa). We finally managed to get a drink refill and place our food order but after that--NOTHING---the waiter never returned to the table and we ran out of drinks and chips--to the point of not being able to finish half the queso. We NEVER saw the waiter again. About 40 mins into this nightmare, I did see him hanging out in the kitchen. Now I noticed that the servers didn't seem to be having a problem waiting their tables--especially the three people seated right before us who were finishing their meal while we were still waiting on a drink refill. Needless to say, I looked for a manager, to absolutely no avail. After 45 mins, I told my son and husband to go to the car. I waited another couple of minutes trying to find a manager or just a live body, and when no one appeared, I walked out. Right thing to do...not exactly but I would have paid for the drinks if someone had been ANYWHERE in the building. This restaurant location is horrible and we will NEVER go there again. This isn't the first time we got poor service here---just never on this level before.
