My CC was charged $19.95 in succession, charges disputed new cc obtained less than 1 month ago, now being charged again to a new cc $19.95. Cancelled card have to dispute again. I don't even know what Chegg is. I don't have a subscription for textbooks nor have I brought anything through this company.

I have been using Chegg for three years, and boy, has it went down hill. For example, I ask a text book question and 30 answers appear, great. Oh wait, they are all wrong, and its actually the same wrong answer copied and pasted over and over.

Last night I posted a how question in mass transfer. The set up of the question was from the textbook, but then my professor asked an extension of the question to which I needed help setting it up. The tutor used a generic answer from the textbook. They didn't take the time to read the question and the answer was incorrect. I can see exactly where they are lacking in knowledge. Who is tutoring who here?

I don't expect every answer to be correct from this service, but when yahoo answers is more trustworthy to solve chemical engineering problems? When engineering students are unlearning the proper way to solve a problem because the answers to their problems are done with half intent. It's really not worth the subscription, now is it?

Chegg is an okay service for lower division undergraduate classes, but how you going to sit there and advertise that you can help "the hardest engineering questions" when that's simply not true.

Give me a more expensive option for higher division engineering, I would gladly pay it in exchange for reliable answers. Comb over your tutors and get rid of the people reposting the same answer over and over. I believe this could be a great service. I understand a lot of students use chegg, but there is nothing preventing a better service from taking over.

Majority of the tutors are from third world countries. The fee of the tutoring subscription is describe on the webpage but I noticed many of the tutor would try to bride you for more money for answer to your questions. Had a incident today (12/11/2020) at 12:36pm, tutor name was Akshat M. ID #: 9653710 where the tutor, ask me how much I was welling to pay him for a full file of the question I asked him. I ask him if he was trying to bride me for the answer because I was aware of the cost of tutoring subscription for Chegg.com which was $15.99 for 30 mins. He then said that am I kidding for a service like the one he going to provide, he going to need more time. I then stated that I was going to file a complaint about his unprofessional behavior, he then said "Go ahead". I then called to make a complaint with the 1-800 number, I was on hold for a hour and they hung up on me.

There's been a lot of issues with my chegg account lately and I have only been able to use my account for 7 days since the last time I purchased it on the 16th of april 2020. Please understand as international student, i'm having a hard time contacting the agents as i'm not able to make an international call in my country. I paid to use my chengg account and I haven't been sharing my account to anyone else. I need my chegg account to be reactivated as soon as possible as I couldn't reach out to my tutors or professors during this pandemic time. I am not happy with the chegg's customer service as it takes forever to reach out to them.

I tried to rent a book through chegg since January 23rd, but I kept encountered error code: Charlie. Then it connected me to a link that I can fill in a form to request for the book rental. I did fill in the form and turned in. I waited about a week, I never heard back from chegg and got any mails like confirmation or notice or any kinds. Then I tried again about 3 times after that, still didn't hear back from chegg. So I tried to order through my friend's account and that worked immediately. I got the book just few days after that and I was fine with that. Then just few days ago, I finally got a mail from chegg saying that the book I requested was out of stock and it is now back in stock, also mentioning that they are shipping me the book, which doesn't make any sense because when I ordered the book rental through my friend's account, I got the book right away. So I replied to the mail saying that I already got the book, so I don't need it anymore. Well, when I got home today, I found that book shipped to my house. Now I have 2 books in my hand and I'm super annoyed that Chegg never notified me of their status of stocks and suddenly shipping me the book regardless of my reply. I just called customer service and only thing they can do is sending me the shipping label. I guess now I have to drive myself to UPS to ship it back to chegg? What kind of customer service is this? How can a big company like chegg have this kind of service? It's just ridiculous.

I signed up for a free trial (November 08) but was unimpressed after about 10 minutes. I canceled the account that day, or so I thought. One month later (December 08), I had a declined charge from Chegg for the previously assumed canceled account. I contacted them to confirm the cancel and stop the pending payment on three separate occasions. Chegg still tried to withdraw money from my account every other day from December 08-18. I purposefully left the account with no money. I wrongly assumed the issue was resolved and deposited money into this bank account. Yesterday, December 18, Chegg posted a transaction to my account for $19.95. I contacted Chegg again today, December 19, and the agent said I will receive a credit in 3-5 days. The agent named Lydia said, "I need to relax and they are doing everything they can."

I subscribed for textbook help on Chegg. After paying the subscription fee I could not find the textbook answers on their website although it does list the book . I am very disappointed because there is no direct access to their customer service not even via email. All that comes up is FAQ which does not help with my issue. I would like to have a refund.

I was charged twice on my debit card for the amount of $14.95 each on 07/31/2019 and 08/06/2019 respectively.
Please investigate because I did not purchase anything on your website on those dates and I already closed my account on 06/07/2019.
Can you please issue a refund on my debit card?

They have charged my credit card for a total ammount of 65 euros for services that I never recieved. No literally, no services. I had an appointment with a tutor and was canceled beacuse of the tutor, he didnt come up to our lesson, nevertheless Chegg charged me not even the 15 dollars that we have agreed upon, but instead 75 dollars (in 5 sepparated times for 15 dollars each)

You pay a monthly fee to help you with learn from their questions and math examples but 80% of them are WRONG. I love the idea of this website but honestly why am I paying so much money so that I can be taught the wrong way? I used to There math section to work on a review sheet and my real life tutor graded it and only 7 out of 40 questions were right. Ridiculous. Maybe hire someone to quality check or something. We shouldn't have to pay this much money to be given wrong lessons and wrong examples.

The coordinators are very greedy and not helpful at all to their subject matter experts.
They don't perform their duty of honest and correct review of experts' answers. Some coordinators even give 0 score without reading what question ask. They never reply to questions or doubts asked by subject matter experts in the official WhatsApp group or via email.

Chegg websites also fail sometimes. Submitting a question's solution after 1.5 hours it says you already skipped it even though I clicked on ANSWER button and clock start ticking.

Chegg authority needs to take stern action against their Subject matter expert coordinators or the whole Chegg community will suffer for their deeds.

Just want to report that I found the Chegg advertisement that I keep hearing on Pandora inappropriate due to its obvious sexual innuendo (i.e. the woman is speaking in a seductive tone, talking about "oh there was bonding" "stripped of all" "finally exposed" Clearly meant to appeal to college students, I just dont think we should be encouraging sexual promiscuity while attempting to advertise for tutoring and textbook rentals. Surely, we can get more creative than this and find a way to advertise in a way that is not inappropriate.

I purchased one item for my daughter early fall 2018. Chegg has repeatedly charged my card for "Chegg Study" which we never signed up for. There is no record of it on our account and somehow
the Chegg representative specialist who returned my call insisted there was activity. Which is impossible. He refused to refund my money and assured me that there would be no further charges. Until next month when there were. When I sign into the account I can see the purchase made and I can see there were no subscriptions ever but somehow they insist that some phantom used a different email and accessed the account. When I asked if they accessed my account and my card was charged why can I NOT see the order? He had no answer and told me to contact my bank. I am furious at the thought of how many young college students new to checking and debit cards that they rip off every single month. BUYER BEWARE! Get your books elsewhere!

Entire family did business with chegg for years.
Then they sold a non working book code

Now a college student is stuck without a book needed for class
Called them
Asked to speak with a manager

They did not care
Basically said
Eat it

The link that is provided in the email for statistics test is not a private one and iOS and Android are not allowing that link to be opened to protect privacy and avoid leakage of important information.

And when I am sending emails to the address provided in the email, it is not being received by the sender.

Kindly look into the matter with outmost importance. I would be registering your website name and link to the Cyber Crime cell to take action so that this can be noted if someone is trying to use undue means.

I joined as a tutor for chegg last Friday after completing all my guidelines as per their instructions but yesterday I was all of a sudden removed from the chegg team without my knowledge.

I had not even started working properly as my work started only mid Friday and weekends are off. I got a mail saying that I am completely revoked from chegg and henceforth I can't answer anything.

I dint have any coordinator support or higher team when I had queries to be asked. They neither replied to my mails nor to my watsapp messages. I have sent plenty of messages from my end.

Still upon this somehow I answered 1-2 questions and skipped few as the questions asked by students were messy and not properly understandable.

Please help me in regards to this. Worst experience I had with chegg. I was very much interested to work on it as I had chosen the subject as computer science.

Please take further action on this and provide me a chance to work again.

I bought my books from chegg two weeks into the semester. I watched the price go down on them. Then I ordered and paid for them. At the end of the semester I get these messages about my rental expiring. I messaged them back and said I did not rent my books. I purchased them. I did not hear back until They charged fees to my mothers credit card. I contacted chegg and they said I must've done this somehow without knowing what I was doing. I went back on the site and acted as if I was ordering the books and it says right on the book Rent. You can't miss it. I have never rented my books and would not start now. I don't know how this happened but I did not rent my books and yet I have to send them back to chegg after I paid for them. This is not right. And instead of fixing it they blamed me and said it was on the invoice. I would have had no reason to check the invoice. I have NEVER rented a book. When I received the books I ordered that was the end or so I thought. I cannot believe this. I will never use this site again.

My order number is PXWYZZQ7, I placed this order and paid $17 for shipping to have it here today and it won't get here until tomorrow. I needed it here today which is why I paid the charge, if I didn't then I wouldn't have wasted almost 20 bucks. I am very unsatisfied and will probably start getting books from somewhere else who can be on time. I haven't had a problem with this company before, but this time I feel like I paid for something that was pointless when I could have easily used it for something else.

I just discovered that my Chegg account was hacked. I closed my subscription over a month ago and saw that my debit card was charged for this month. I called Chegg to request a refund which they are refusing. They said the account has been used. I told them that this was not me and that I can see someone has hacked my account. They still will not refund my money. Beware and do not use this company!
