I had subscribed for the Indian channel service on their website by paying a monthly amount. But i did not allow them to save my credit card for automatic monthly charges. After a month i decided to cancel my subscription. But guess what, its not possible through their site. I have to place a call. Their number is bogus and no-one answers. There is no way to cancel the subscription online or even change your credit card. All i have been doing is opening support ticket through their site and no response for tickets whatsoever. I'm simply watching my credit card being charged every month and i'm helpless. I'm going to file a dispute through my credit card company and try to get my money back. Whoever is running this company is fraud and they are simply trying to loot you. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE !!!
The serice that is provided is by far pathetic. I cancelled my service due to interruptions. The company is waiting for a lawsuit to happen. They refuse to refund any charges despite the sales person who signed us up mentioned that the charges would be pro-rated if cancelled to get balance of the charges. I cancelled my account after 7 days of inferior quality streaming.
Do i have the right to inform this to the Better Business Bereau? There may be many more that are going thru this and letting this slide by the fact that this is being run by their fellow country men.
Channellive.tv's broadcast is bad. The streaming is jittery and gave me a headache with a high-end internet connection.
The online streaming interface is counter-intuitive and hard to use. Tried the set-top box and it hangs frequently.
There customer service and management is pathetic. I was sent a set-top box by mistake and had to go through the trouble of returning it. The billing was a huge mess and I had to keep calling in every other day for inquiries and corrections.
Bought the service in Feb'09 but the set-top box arrived very late. I was offerred mail-in-rebate since...
Sequence of Events:
1. Ordered the Service on Aug 15, 2009 (PREPAID The Service amount)
2. Even after OC 25, 2009 that service was not activated
3. Requested to Cancel the Service, Customer Service is reluctant to cancel the service
4. Now they are saying, they will cancel the service but they will deduct 3 months of fee.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD.NON RESPONSIVE...THESE ARE CHEATING PEOPLE.
