Seven West Media / Channel 7 7 plus app

We are trying to watch the big bash finals and as per the norm channel 7 seems to have week reception in our area (Craigmore SA 5114, has been this way for 15 years +). I have checked the location in settings and it is set for our area. I put the 7 app on the TV for my wife because she likes your channel and your sports coverage. She is really into the big bash and now her team is in the finals we are very disheartened to find that the App that you constantly messaged/emailed me about how great it would be to have, does not have coverage even though it is live on TV? Please respond as the grand final will be on soon.

Jonathan Schmidt

Desired outcome: Put what is live on TV on the App, not some reality crap instead.

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Advertising and promotion

Your Voice overs are pathetically blokes and I just saw a news highlight of sports before an ad and why do you have to use brain dead puns to try and make light of a very un important but apparently serious sports story. GROW UP CH 7! The fact you need 350 characters is the opposite of everything your station and all commercial stations do which is to dumb stuff down and remove conversation so here it is.

Desired outcome: Stop male blokes voice overs and silly sports puns

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Whistling nrma ad

Channel 7, what were you thinking when you accepted this ad from NRMA? Every time I hear that whistling lunatic I have to physically restrain myself from destroying the TV. You have gone way too far with this ad. The gap tooth whistling is bad enough but every single ad break, really? I refuse to watch channel 7 until this screeching ad has run it's course and is finally over forever.

Desired outcome: Take this horrible ad off your channel and burn the remnants of any recordings

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Cricket commentators pathetic use of the english language

Your [censored]ic principle commentator Brad Hodge and others must refrain from using the construction "HENCE WHY " ! It is utterly incorrect and many kids watch this coverage. Please tell him to not to continue using this expression.
Also, the use of women commentators is also less than ideal. Men don't want to hear the opinions of those with no experience in Men's cricket. Please get them to mind their own business and concentrate on women's sport. Don't get me wrong. I am very proud of Australian women's great sporting traditions. I just want them to stay of commentary teams for men's' sports. Thanks
Barry

Desired outcome: Sack Hodge the dummy

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Seven News Saturday January 15th

Bad enough Angie Assimus does the weather Monday to Friday, now I turn the News tonight to find that she's reading the News. For Goodness Sake, she is an untalented creature who should never be on television in any shape or form. I would struggle to listen to her let alone look at her. YUCK

Desired outcome: Get rid of Angie Assimus

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Hobart test coverage

Why do I get horse racing stuffed down my throat when watching cricket with my young son! I don't want them teaching him gambelling is a good thing... It's a wicked thing this station solidly endorses regardless of who it hurts, thats why they have one station dedicated to it, then stealth attack you with it on the main station watching cricket with your kid... You shameful curs deserve all the dissaproving judgement your deliberate manipulations incur... Managerial scumbags for coruption and money

Desired outcome: STOP IT NOW.

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Advertising for a pyramid scheme disguised as a news story

https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/health-wellbeing/eczema-treatment-used-by-mum-to-transform-her-kids-with-dry-cracked-itchy-skin--c-5202774.amp

This article is an advert for predatory MLM, youngliving. There is zero disclosure that it is an advert.

This stuff shouldn't be happening, people still trust the news to bring them information that is unbiased. While this is rarely the case, it does make it an effective tool for advertisers.

Desired outcome: Take the article down or add a disclaimer.

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Anchors Mike Amor and Rebecca Maddern

I refer to recorded off-air footage of the two anchors commenting about Novak Djokovic calling him a "lying arsehole" amongst many other derogatory comments. Quite shameful and unprofessional and these two employees should be sacked immediately. This video will yet again add to the growing image of Australian state and federal politicians and majority of Australian media being extremely incompetent, resentful and just plain not up to scratch. Another shameful chapter in a shameful week for Australia. I am embarrassed at the moment to be living in Melbourne. Surely we have some people of integrity working in the public eye?

Desired outcome: Sacking of the two anchors mentioned.

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Mike Amor Rebecca Maddern Novak Djokovic

As a long time viewer and supporter of Chanel 7, I am appalled and disgusted in the conversation between Mike Amor and Rebecca Maddern regarding Novak Djokovic No.1 Tennis Player.
The example they set for our children is disgusting and disrespectful.
If they find their actions appropriate, then they have some serious moral issues.
Please train your staff to show respect to their audience. This is a case of harassment and bullying in its finest.

Desired outcome: Please rid Chanel 7 of these monsters

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Test Cricket

Would somebody please tell Ricky Ponting to do what he is paid to do; reporting & commentating on the matches. His over use of the terms "I, I, I" &
"me, me, me" is spoiling an otherwise great coverage. The viewing public is not really interested in what he did when he was playing nor on what he would do if he was captain of the current team / teams.
Pleas tell him to put a sock in it!
Thanks, Phil

Desired outcome: Put the reins on Ricky Ponting

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Cricket coverage

I'm upset and angry that I am not able to watch the 6pm news due to the cricket still being shown after 6pm. I like to watch the 6pm news and have no interest for cricket. 7 plays the cricket on their other channels after 6pm so why am I stuck watching this rubbish. I think the news is more important than the cricket. How is this allowed to happen.

Disgusting channel 7 wholeheartedly supported by the great Woolworths ran the new scream add with several stabbings and horror themes for my 2 & 11 year olds to sit through at 8:30 pm during carols by candlelight.

Thank god for the streaming services. Sell sell sell.

Seven West Media / Channel 7 The chase

A question was just asked on the chase regarding which Rugby League side has won the most Premierships, all the Answers are incorrect. The correct answer is the Scone Thoroughbreds in group 21. The question did not refer to the NRL, ARL it just simply said rugby league. Very poor research. One would think that every question is not ambiguous or in any way contentious.

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Seven news

I was appalled to see a channel 7 reporter interviewing a small child who witnessed the dreadful jumping castle accident on Friday night. You could obviously see the child was upset and traumatized and I hope will have counselling.
Does your reporters, including camera, production and commentator crew have no soul? How can they cold heartedly do this? How would they feel if it was one of their children?
It appears anything for a good! story

You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Desired outcome: To consider the damage you are doing to vulnerable people. Not to interview children in relation to any traumatic incidents

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Presenter Matt Doran

I watch Channel 7 less when Matt Doran is involved. In my opinion he is more interested in giving his opinion and REGULARLY interrupts guest speakers to opine in a very verbose manner. Viewers are interested in listening to expert advice not his (often poorly researched) opinion and his frequently condescending tone.
It appears that he disrespects colleagues, guests and the viewing public and is not offering quality.

Seven West Media / Channel 7 BBL Perth Scorchers verses Brisbane Heat

Hi,
I like Andy Maher and his efforts on the Front Bar and dealing with all the two boys always getting into him.

As to the commentary, Andrew Gaze was an entertaining difference and Lisa Sthalekar was great with her knowledgeable comments and dealing with some of Andy's comments.

I have to make a complaint though on how biased Andy Mahler's commentary was. He kept talking about how great all the heat players were throughout their bowling innings and then barracked for them during their batting session.

Andy gave up and was despondent when there were 2 balls left. Until he realised Perth had bowled a no ball. He then perked up and got excited that the heat could still win.

I actually had to google where Andy Maher was born, or lived in his childhood as he was sooo God damm biased.

Please, please do not let Andy Maher commentate another Perth Scorchers game.

PLEASE!

Regards,
Dean Gray

Desired outcome: Please, please do not let Andy Maher commentate another Perth Scorchers game. PLEASE!!

Seven West Media / Channel 7 Advertising for 2021/2022 Ashes series

Your current ad featuring Ian Botham laughing at footage of batsmen being struck by cricket balls is beyond insensitive considering the death of Phillip Hughes. I can't imagine the distress felt by his family when they see that on the TV.

Desired outcome: Stop showing it!
