I made a rush trip home to watch the Dockers play GWS game today. Firstly, it's poor that we get a delayed telecast in WA, but the most frustrating part of the game broadcast was the camera work. I can only assume that the camera operator(s) were doing the job for the first time, or had poor eyesight. A good percentage of the shots were taken from about 150 metres from the play, making it almost impossible to see where the ball was.
The fact that we have to share the broadcasts with pay tv is bad enough, but we may as well if the camera operators are this poor in the games that we do get.
Totally agree with this comment, the Sydney v freo game was just about unwatchable. The camera operators and or equipment are unable to handle differing light situations such as shadows across the ground and following flight of the ball.(try panning out from when the ball is kicked) something amateur moviemakers learn in year 5!
