Champion Windows Sunroom warranty replacement/customer service

Purchased Jan 2014. Noticed stains/streaking inside sliding windows and called. Local office sent inspector Oct 2021. Said warranty would replace all damaged windows. Also said it would be a bit longer due to supply/transportation/labor shortages: Same problem as everyone else is having. Because of that, said order would arrive their location end of Nov 21 where I would get a call to set up an appointment for installation.

1 Dec 21 called. Talked with someone who identified themselves as working at local office. Said delays are more than expected and orders are running late. Suggested call back in 6 more weeks.

11 Jan 22, called same number but re-routed to Ohio office. I stated I'd prefer to talk with local office, but was informed all customer service is handled from Ohio. I asked about my windows. Representative could not provide any information (see above: local shop pulled up my order and could tell it was delayed). I emphasized I had been given information on previous call - from local office. Representative repeated that there was no information and I would receive a call only when the parts were loaded on a truck and shipped out. I asked if they could call the factory. Representative said factory does not take calls of this type. Wow. Home office cannot talk to anyone at factory.

I complained that this was unsatisfactory and that there should be someone in home office that could talk with someone at the factory that could provide an update or at the very least, connect me with the local office so I can get information from someone that could provide help. During this, representative persisted in talking over me, non-stop, without even listening to me. I complained about customer service not being service. Representative kept talking - not listening. Blood boiling by this point. Asked for a supervisor and representative hung up on me.

I wrote home office about this problem but have not received any reply as of 17 Jan 22, although I am receiving regular advertisements from them...

Desired outcome: Provide updates once or twice a month would be nice. Explanation of Customer Service failure.

Champion Windows Front Door

Still waiting on the front door we ordered 6+ months ago. If you call Champion about anything, customer service takes down some notes and tells you someone from your local area will call you but they never do. We went with Champion because of the the Limited Lifetime Warranty and now I'm guessing this company is going to go belly-up and we won't ever get that assurance we paid for. No way they can continue to charge this much and fail to truly serve their customer.

Desired outcome: Front door or full refund.

Champion Windows Failed windows/lying about product replacement

Had three windows fail under warranty. Contacted them in February 2021. Paid $99 and had windows measured. On day of install I August man showed up to say other guy had measured wrong. New guy remeasured windows and said they would be in 4-6 weeks. September I call to find out if windows are in. Still no windows. I call back in December and yes windows are in. Can come out December 27 for install. Then we get text that guy will be on vacation to they will come December 13. On morning of we get call that guy has family emergency so they reschedule for December 21. We get call in morning that they ordered wrong product again. A bunch of lies. At this point we want our $99 back and reimbursement for 3 failed windows.

Desired outcome: $99 refund and install of three new windows with sashes instead of replacing just glass

Champion Windows Entry Door

We had Champion come to our home on May 18th, 2021. We put a down payment on a entry door. First of all I was quoted a price and two weeks later I received a call telling me that the door would be $760. more than quoted. We went a head with the deal even though I felt like they were very unprofessional. I was told that Champion would be with me all the way, calling me and keeping me updated etc., as of October 13, 2021 no one has called me. I have left messages several times with Haden and Gary but they have not returned my calls. What the hell is going on with this company, I should have had my door by now. All I want is a phone call telling me when my door will be installed or that they can't find glass in the entire world for the leaded glass or that they can't find the material to make the door. Just a simple call would make me feel better. But, no lying, just the truth if that is possible for them to do! They have the down payment and I am sure that Haden Porter has received his commission on it. Very Unprofessional!
Please call me! R. DeMill

Desired outcome: My Entry Door!

Champion Windows Sun Room

We had a sunroom installed by Champion Windows in April 2017. They claim to have a lifetime warranty. Last spring, the roof of the room started to leak. We have contacted the Denver location several times about this. It took months for them to finally send someone out, and when they did, they did not listen to the issue, so tried a solution that made no sense and did not work. After more calls, they finally came out again, and calked along the line with the roof of the home. This did not work, either. It has now been more than 9 months and not only is the leak not fixed, with fall coming, it will be a real issue as we get more snow and rain. We would like for the leak to be fixed before more damage is done to our interior.

Desired outcome: Fix the leask

Champion Windows Sun room installation

Fourteen years ago, I contracted with Champion to install a sunroom. Last Sep/Oct time period, we noticed a soft spot in the corner of the floor. When we pulled up the linoleum, we noted rotten boards and very wet boards. I contacted the local office and on four different occasions, service personnel were dispatched and put silicon on some of the paneling. That did not stop the leaks, After several additional calls, a Supervisor came by and viewed the issue. Several weeks later, and insurance adjuster for Champion came by and estimated the damages to be about 1200 dollars. Before I could accept the settlement, that insurance company called back, and said they would not over it, it was a warranty issue for champion. I made several more calls, and now I cannot get anyone to call me back from this office. It has been 8.5 months since this started, and I cannot use my sunroom. Hiring an attorney will be an expense to me as corporate offices already have attorneys on staff.

Desired outcome: Fix the floor

Champion Windows Sun Room

In 2008 Champion fixed a sunroom for us. Now in 2021 there are major problems with it. It needs extensive repair caulking inside and out, a new window and door. Also some of the vinyl has come off the eaves. I tried unsuccessfully last year to get in touch with them. I am still having the same problem. One repairman did come by last week but it was pouring down rain and was not able to check anything. He stated that he would reschedule the appointment but as of yet I have not heard about another appointment. I have tried to call and left messages but I do not hear anything.

Desired outcome: Repairs made

Champion Windows Company has gone downhill fast and is not trustworthy

This is the third time I have used Champion Window but the first time I've used them in about 8 or 9 years. I can't tell you how badly they've gone downhill. Not just one thing either - quality of installation, communication, timeliness, customer service, friendliness, etc have all vanished from this company.

It started with the high pressure sales pitch and the salesman started writing the contract before I even agreed to order windows. Their price is SUPER high. Then at installation they barely put any foam insulation in and far less insulation than what was taken out. When I asked them to add more the installer (who had told me he was their best) got a complete attitude with me. I had to watch every window go in to make sure they wouldn't be drafty and cold due to their lack of insulation. The installer was such a jerk and he wouldn't talk to me the rest of the install and then sent one of his workers in to have me sign the docs. One window was wrong when it arrived (was supposed to be rain glass, not privacy glass) and one window wouldn't close or lock. This was in October of 2020. They went ahead and installed the wrong glass and said they would get the rain glass and get it changed out in a couple weeks.

After a month and no communication I called every couple weeks asking where our correct glass was. No communication and just told me they'd check on it. The glass didn't end up being installed until 6 months later (April 2021). I asked for a discount due to the trouble and their obvious mistake and a ton of hassle to continuously stay on them to get it 6 months later and they refused. They said they'd drop me off a couple bottles of their window cleaner and now we are 6 weeks later and didn't even get that lol. This company is not professional and has gone downhill fast. I love supporting local businesses but I will never use this company again, wouldn't even make good on their huge mistakes and I never once got an apology.

Desired outcome: Make good on all the hassle you caused and the lack of quality.

Champion Windows 3 season room warranty repair not accomplished after 9 months. Ref: ID # 18693/service order 30628

1) Please take the time to review completely the number of times over the past 9 months.
I made my initial contact last year in August and was told by someone all you people were so busy in 2020 with installations man power shortages that they are behind on repairs.

2) It is now May of 2021 and no repairs. I did have two visits for inspections from your people including a $175.00 paid technician visit by two workers. Since it was late fall they suggested waiting until the weather was warmer in order to correct the issue related to thermal expansion and the fastening of panels. I agreed and held off contacting Champion until Spring.

I have called, emailed and complained to your service department to no avail.
About a month ago I received a message on my home phone saying she wanted to schedule my appointment. I called her back and only got her answering service and left a message to please call me. She didn't called back nor did anyone else.
4) I also called you Customer Service number recently. I complained enough that she transferred me to your National Customer Service who said they would look into this delay in my warranty repair.
5) Since then I have received only one phone message from one customer service person to supposedly schedule my repairs. I called her back, left a message and received NO CALL BACK.

We have been extremely happy with our 3 season room with the exception of the current issues. I think it is time for someone in your supposed Customer Service group to take action on my case. Every one on the phone is super nice but nothing happens.

I would greatly appreciate some communication from Champion. I think it would be constructive to email me about supporting your product. In that email please supply the name of a senior customer support contact and their number so I can call them directly. Thank you.

Champion Windows Crappy customer service

We entered into a contract to have a custom sunroom built in August 2020. Unfortunately, we were duped into their "financing offering 0% interest and 0 payments for one year." Of course, Champion immediately received 50% as down payment to start the construction. Long story short, it has been five months with nothing to show for $18k. I cannot get a specific person to talk to about our sunroom. I have received stupid phone calls repeating what we already have agreed to. I just wish I would have read these reviews before signing with Champion. I am looking into legal action against them for breach of contract!

Desired outcome: Cancellation of contract with no penalty.

Similar story here. Four months after signing the contract in Feb 2021 for a sunroom was told that the tech that remeasured my sunroom took the paperwork with him when he left the company. The sales rep then stated that manufacturing is at least nine months behind schedule and there are a significant number of irate customers. Rumor has it that a class action lawsuit is in the works. All that can be said is our deposits are in jeopardy for the foreseeable future.

Champion Windows siding

We had hail damage to our home and had to have the siding replaced on 2 sides of our house.
Champion came out on 8/30 and gave us a quote we signed a contract and they took and a deposit.
Deposit was promptly cashed. We tried calling the salesmen several times to follow up, but never received a response. Someone else finally called and came out on 9/12 to take remeasurements. I hadn't heard anything by 9/23 so called to get my install date...after a run around, we were told that they put the job on hold because they can not do the job for the price quoted and needed over $2, 000 more. I emailed the CEO of Champion Todd Dickson who just had someone call me back to say that its thier right and in the fine print on the contract states that they can cancel at any time.
Very shady business practice. Not to mention wasting a month of time that I could have spent having a reputable company do the job.

Champion Windows windows

My fiancé and I purchased 28 windows over the past year, which has cost us over 30, 000 dollars. We decided over the year to add one window on june 11, 2019. We called an had someone come out and estimate it. The gentleman shaun came out and stated, "he will get back with us because it should go under our other contract since we have already purchased 28 windows. We have not heard from champion in over 1 week, so I tried calling. I have called multiple times and finally a man named Jack returned my call and he stated, "he had to run to Cleveland to see if it is in stock and he will call me back". We waited and then it took 2 more weeks after calling continuously for him to call back. He stated, " he has it and it will cost $818.00 for window and installation". (Voicemail) I called back multiple times trying to set up a date and time to get it installed. After calling days in and days out I finally got the manager Jacks number. I called him multiple times and he has not returned my call and then he changed his number or blocked me. I called the main office and reached a woman named Mikie. She stated, " she will let jack know and I asked for jacks bosses name which was Frank and she would not give me that number but would have Frank call me, which neither have called. This was on July 16th when I finally called the 1800 champion number and she talked to him and he stated to her to set an appointment up. I set an appointment up on AUG 6, 2019, which no one showed up or gave me a call. I called the company back and they called Jack which for whatever reason will not directly talk to me. He told the office to tell me that he is sorry and the window has never been ordered and remind you this is going on the 3rd month with out or window and he stated he went an purchased it from Cleveland already. We just wanted one and one that is going to match the rest of our windows and be insured as well. Well we set another appointment up on Aug 16th to get it installed. I received a call about one hr later from the office in Toledo/Perrysburg stating they need to come out and make a measurement after they have already done that one month prior so they should have this in there records. Im beyond mad right now I am more upset and hurt how this company has treated there customers. I had my fiancé call and deal with it so he finally talk to Jack. Don't ask me how! and why he returned his phone call. He talked to him on Aug 14th and he stated, " he will have the window in on Friday, but it will cost now 868.00 now because they don't have the framing or something and that will take another 3 weeks to get in. I have called the office today to try talk with jack regarding the issue and the price because that is not fair nor is right for us to pay more when it is there mistake not ours. I am going to contact the national news and I will not stop until this is resolved. This company I thought was a good company, but I guess I was wrong and I will not ever recommend this company to anyone.

Champion Windows poor quality of work and really poor customer service!!

My Name is Michael Tice and this is my complaint.
Clearly after reading many of the other reviews, mine will not be uncommon. I had approximately 10 windows and a sliding glass door replaced in my house. One of the windows was incoorectly installed and caused a severe leak that ultimaley cause mold, drywall, widow seal, base board and carpet damage. I have been going back and forth with them for about a year regarding this issue. the problem that I have is that once Champion turns the issue over to Liberty Mutual, which is thier insurance company...NOT MINE, Champion basically washes thier hand of the matter and does not want to deal with it any longer. This issue that was caused by poor quality of work is left to the customer to deal with without any Champion representitive. Their has been a dispute about the estimate the Liberty Mutual adjuster gave and the 3rd party contractor that I had estimate. Liberty mutual basically told me too bad that is what we are willing to pay. I then pulled Champion back into the issue and spoke to the National Customer service director and she told that it was in Liberty mutuals hands now and that champion is not involved. I did manage to get her to send a additional adjuster to re estimate the damage but I had to follow up after a couple of weeks because clearly they dont want to deal with this. This show me that Champion needs to overhaul there customer service department starting from the very top at the director level. Also they need to clearly better trained installer since they are not even champion employees they are contracted personnel. The other issue that I have is with the sliding glass door. The lock has failed muliple times. This last time I called to get the lock replaced and I provided all of the information that they requested. yet when the technician arrived at my house he did not know if the lock was 2 or 4 hook. He did not know this because when the appointment was scheduled that information was never requested, only a picture of the handle. The tech did not have the parts on the truck to fix the door and yet they charge a $99 trip fee. I was told they would contact me to reschedule but that did not happen either. I had to call them to reschedule, but could not due to the parts being on back order and they could not tell me when they would be in. I am keeping a record of my time that I have wasted dealing with this company and I will submit to them an invoice for my time. I encourage anyone who is dealing with Champion to keep track of your time because they will kick the can down the road as long as they can until the customer caves in. If anyone would like to know the names of the individuals that I have been dealing with from Champion or Liberty Mutual I will be more than happy to give you more information. I have come across bad customer service before but never have I come across a company that so blatantly shows that they do not care about the customer. Please email me at [protected]@aol.com for any other information. A word of advise to the National director of customer service. This is just about Principle now. I was a paying customer which Champion could have received 15K more in sales, however now I will not even consider Champion again nor recommend them to anybody unless this is resolved ASAP

Champion Windows I am complaining about an installation of a sunroom on the back of my house.

About 3 years ago I contracted with Champion to build a sunroom on the back of my house on an existing patio that was there. My home is a single story ranch type house with 3 bedrooms. They came out and measured everything and they said they could do it on the existing patio. My house has what everyone calls a hip roof line, that is, a hang over of the roof line from the outside wall of the house. They told me they had to cut some of this hang over to tie in the roof beams of the the sun room they would be building. It has been over 3 years now and there is a continuous leak on the back wall of the sun room where the sun room connects to the original roof line. during this time mold has developed in my attic from the water penetration of the leak. Champion contends it was my roof that was bad and that is why there is a leak. I have been in the house over 5 years and there has never been a leak in the house ever. I have been in battle over this for the past 3 years, champion has tried to fix the connection of the 2 roof lines but has not been successful, the leak continues ! Champion is blaming me because they are saying my roof had a leak in it before they started the construction. This is not so, I had a roofer inspect everything when we purchased the house and there was nothing wrong with roof, especially Mold that now is in my attic. I have hundreds of pictures of me emptying buckets of water from the continuous leak. I now have an attorney on the case and we will see if anything gets accomplished. Stay tuned, I will be back !

Champion Windows poor customer service

Ok... Salesman came out and spoke with Timothy didn't hear from him again... They had a booth at the Home Show we were going to walk past and they stepped out and approached us Timothy just politely told them they had there chance and blew it... Explained a rep already came out and 3 weeks later all we heard was crickets... he took Timothy's information and stated "Oh I remember this address" should have been a clue... we gave him the name of the rep and asked he not come again... doorbell rings... guess who. same guy... I had reservations about letting him in so gave him the Benefit of the doubt and let him in anyway... he sat down and asked me to turn off the View, I had the sound turned almost off and plus put all 4 dogs out... doesn't address what he's there for launched into a spiel about his political and religious views, held my tongue if anyone knows me at all knows how hard that can be... I just asked is he here to sell windows and doors, speak about politics or give a sermon which neither I"m interested in... he turned kind of red and pulled out his measuring tape we went thru the house and he measured... I asked him what happened to the ones he took when Timothy had him here the 1st time... oh my wife threw them away cleaning off my desk... ok got measurements... now can we get a rough estimate for replacement windows and the sliding door... oh I have to have Timothy here can't talk to just one of you... week goes by crickets again... Timothy then called and spoke with the Supervisor that we had talked who advised he would get the measurements and send us an estimate... that's been a week... all I'll say I thought this was 2019 not 1950... If you don't want a Same Sex Couple as a client then tell us from the get go there are other companies...

Champion Windows champion windows throughout our entire home

We purchased Champion Windows for our entire house in 2005. We had to have all the original windows replaced due to faulty manufacturer windows. The last of the replacement windows was installed today, 2/27/19. I'm not happy with these replacement windows as the weather stripping is showing on all the windows, with the exception of my kitchen windows. We were told that the original windows had wheels on the bottom of the windows and the new windows now have pads that replaced the wheels. I don't think the pads are the same dimensions as the wheels were so the windows are smaller than they should be to fit correctly in the original window casings. Our kitchen window was really small and had to be reordered and the manager resized it so when that window was brought back it was a good fit. I'd like for the manager to come back and look at how loose these window are and get them all re-measured. We've had to turn up our heater because our house has been colder this winter than in past years. These new windows are not weather efficient as the original windows were. I'm not a happy Champion customer at this time.

Champion Windows installation/service

Puchased $25, 000 worth of replacement windows in 2013. Installers did not flash any windows which caused damage to my sheeting. Their "inspector" said it was my fault as we didn't buy siding from them. Now, I have been dealing with getting a window replaced that cracked during below zero weather. I have been trying to get this done since march. First time out - they ordered the wrong size. Now today I have stayed home from work again only to be told they will not come since I asked for proof of insurance. I asked because their "employee" called and identified himself as working for a different company. What honest company is worried about providing proof of insurance? Stay away from this company at all costs!
