We have been out of phone service since Sun. Aug. 29, 2021. I called repair services on Sunday evening of the aforementioned date. The agent that I spoke with generated me a repair ticket for the date of Sept. 04. The tech by the name of Josh (no last name) did arrive on the promised date. He claimed he checked the services and there was nothing he could, because what need to be done was beyond his expertise. Because of the weekend and the Labor day holiday, we had to wait until Tue. Sep. 7. We heard from no one, so I and my sister who is also out of service, called the local tech's in our area. The local tech stated he knew nothing about the service outage, but that he had checked the lines at previous time and he thought he had repaired them. He also stated that he was by himself, because most of his guys were out with Covid. We have had no service for 8 days now. I have no intention of paying for a month's service. You are the wost phone company we have ever dealt with. Before you, we had great service and we have been with this company through 4 name changes. By far. you are the WORST. Tried to call Century Link this AM, could not get through. They place you on hold forever. I was on hold this morning for 1 solid hr. and had to hang up. I want my Phone repaired NOW! In the meantime, I recieved a text stating that they were aware of an outage in the area, but seems now, nobody can confirm the outage. What is going?
I am a former centurylink contractor. after centurylink forced retired local techs in southwest fl. they rehired contractorsbut took them off hourly pay and made it peice rate. which made it worse, this job cannot be worked at flat rate because no two repair jobs are the same time to resolve all the issues, so no tech wants to lose his butt on a job tha requires him to work3 or 4 hrs to fix and only gets paid 40 dollars 10 that averages 10 bucks an hour. so nobody wants to spend enough time to fix it properly.. I got laid off in march and customers actually still call me. but I cant do anything for them. all the company that took them over wants to do is pay there investors as much as they can and maximize there profits and the hell with their techs and the cheapskate rate that they are paid. no wonder nobody wants to work for them and do a good job
