This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

After I ordered Acai Pure, I found out from people online that they were having problems with being over charged and even after they cancelled their account.
I received my free trial of Acai Pure on Saturday, November 9, and decided that I will mail it back because of what I read from others. Now I am worried that they will overcharge me. I am going to mail it back tomorrow, November 12. The Sales Receipt that I received from them says that all returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Also that returned merchandise requires a delivery confirmation from the shipping provider and an RMA number from Customer Care. How are we suppose to get that number? I have emailed them twice and have heard no reply from them. Also I tried calling and I keep getting a busy signal. I do believe this is a scam.
Of course, now Acai Pure, has my credit card number, but I did notify the credit card company via email what I thought about this scam and I heard back from them right away. I decided to email Central Coast Nutraceuticals once more and I CC it to the credit card company. I have ordered lots of things online and never had a problem like this before.
I hope that I don't keep getting charged.

I also have been scammed by this company. When I ordered my "free trial" offer for "shipping only", I received two additional products. I emailed them 3 times, tried to call this company, but was told the wait would be 80 minutes, finally mailed back the 2 products via certified mail. My credit card company got me through to them to stop my orders in December, but I am still getting charged for products that I have sent back. I have tried to deal with my credit card company, but they will not stop accepting the charges from this company. I have had to pay well over $150.00 for one "free" bottle. Now, when I call this company, I am told they CANNOT speak to me because I disputed their charges! This company needs to be closed down immediately.

I, also, have been "scammed" by this company. The have no business ethics at all. I was under the impression that I was to receive, free, 14 of the Acai pills, as a sample order. I received a full bottle and an Invoice for $44.90, and later a billing on my cc for $39.00, and I have no idea what that is for.

I called the credit card company and disputed both of the charges, emailed CCN for an RMA and returned the pills. I think that I need to write CCN and inform them that they are not autorized to charge my card for any reason. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to change my cc number. What a pain.

What can we do to help stop what CCN is doing?

I agree with all these complaints I have read. I am still trying to get a refund on my credit card since December. This is the worst scam I have encountered on the web. These people will not give you a straight answer. I had a RMA# and returned the items, but they said they did not recieve them. So what good does it do? I am going to take further action.

I have had the same experience in which a $4.95 charge turned into multiple other charges before product was even received . When I tried to cancel I called [protected] in which I had the displeasure of waiting over 20mnts only to be told they were not affiliated with Acai Berry Suppliments yet that was the number next to the charge on my card and the other number [protected] is no longer in service. I am in the process of getting the charges reversed via charge card used when order was place. The product was received weeks after I was charged, but was so disgusted with all unathorized charges on my card I sent product back via my mailman. I have disputed the charges with the charge card company used. I wish the matter could have been resolved directly with Acai Berry.

Just like everyone else, I too ordered COLOPURE and ACAIPURE (FREE TRIAL), but also recieved Hoodia Gum and Hoodia drops, at which I never ordered but was charge for. I successfully returned the Hoodia products (I did not return COLOPURE or ACAIPURE). I recently recieved another order of COLOPURE & ACAIPURE that I did not place an order for. They have me on an autodelivery that I did not agree to. I tried to return both products (COLOPURE & ACAIPURE), but they were returned right back to me. I want my shipment canceled and my money returned immediately.

Zoft Gum Company does NOT sell product directly to retail customers. Zoft products can only be purchased from authorized online distributors or in select retail locations around the world.

This matter should be taken up with the company or distributor that you purchased the product from.

I called and got a return authorization of CD 010709 to return me Acai Berry on order 2306414, total amount charged $44.85.

I refused the order on 01/12/08. I expect a full credit of $44.85 immediately when it is received.

I am thouroughly upset because I ordered the $14.95 free trial for 14 days and what you billed was not acceptable.

I will never order from your company again!

I was also charged for the Acai free trial products and I cant seem to get in touch with them. I was sent another set of pills and my account was charged again. I will have to cancel my charge card so that they cannot continue to charge my account for products I did not authorize. If anyone has any other information that I can use please let me know.

I ordered the "free trial" of Acaipure on 12/31/08. The program was to pay $1.85 for shipping with $39.95 automatically deducted at the end of a two week trial period. The company immediately charged $41.95 and never shipped the product. Their website doesn't work at all. I've tried 6 times to email them, but emails are always returned. You have to hang on the phone in excess of 28 minutes or more just to get someone on the phone. I finally did, after holding for 32 minutes and talke with a "Matt Smith" who told me as "soon as the product is delivered, send it back unopened and we'll refund the full amount within 2-3 days". Of course, the returned shipping charges are mine, not theirs. Still no response, in any way, one week later.

I too was scamed by this company. I am in the process of trying to get my money back. They also through another charge of 29.95 for something called fit-fac. I looked through the contract and saw nothing of the sort for this service or product. I don't know what it is. I talked to customer service of fit-fac and they said they will reverse the charge on the credit card. I haven't heard back from my credit card company yet but will post again once I see the results. Central Coast Nutracuetical is the company that put out the Acaipure and Colopure. Don't let them scam you too. Stay away from this produt.

I had the same problem with Hoodia Star M .The only way I found to get their company to stop chrages was to have my card cancelled and a new one sent. Your bank and credit card company can do nothing other than that. It sucks, but it seems to be the only way.

I went on line to try their product for $1.oo. After about three weeks I got my order. When I opened the package there were two other products and then I looked a my bill. I called the number [protected]) so I could get that RMA so I could return. The customer service said I would be on hold for fifty-one minutes and thirty seconds. ( who has that kind of time now days.) Then they directed me to a web site for the number(www.getorderhelp.com) where I was then told to summit my email address and the reason that I wanted to get in touch. After I summitted my email addresss I got an answer right away but was told I will hear from them in 48-72 hours. That has been three weeks. Then I checked my bank statement and they have charged another order to my card. By them doing that transaction my account was over drafted. So here I go again trying to get my money back and their order retrurned to them. There should be a law on the way this company is doing business. And to think that OPRAH has endorced this product. My next step is to contact the OPRAH show and let her know what's going on.

Just for FYI, if you want to reach the CEO of this company write to
CEO (the reps would not let me lnow his name)

I have spent nearly 7 hrs total trying to get thru and once I did i did not receive any satisfaction/refund!
Anyone who can write and let him know what his company and their reps are up to would be wise to do so. This is a full blown SCAM and the Arizona AG will be hearing about it as well.

This company is definitely fraudulent; my case is EXACTLY like everyone else's. Except I am dealing with two of them: Colon 700 and Acia maxx. Both with the same tactics.

I did call my bank, a well known big bank, their attitude was total ineptitude to the point of stupidity! Iwill be canceling my card; however, I asked, what if, by the grace of God, these scammers decide to refund me, how do I get my money if it's refunded on a canceled card? the smart bank representative suggested I give them the new number ! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS! I said doesn't this defeat the purpose of my canceling the card in the first place? Also, the bank cannot do anything if the amount is in the "pending" box, so I have to wait till the thieves get my money first and then the bank will try to block them.

Visa will be contesting the charges.
I filed complaints with the FTC and the Better Business Bureau.
I urge everybody to do the same.

I feel so stupid since this is my first time dealing with such thieves. I was convinced of the legitamacy of the product by the endorsment of Oprah Winfrey and her buddy Dr. Mehemt Oz (the second time we've been scammed by the Oprah show... remember the author who fabricated stories?)
Any more suggestions?
How can we stop these people? We've got to stop them from making a quick buck over the sweat of hard working peopel like us.

Best to you all,
Noor

I too have been scammed. I thought I was responding to a product recommended by Oprah. I thought it would be 5.95. I got charged the 44.85 amount. It took 1 1/2 hours on the phone at 5 in the morning to reach a rep who assured me that the continued billing would be cancelled. This morning I looked and there was a new 39.95 amount. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company but I am worried by other's complaints that it is hard to get these amounts cancelled. Their website was so misleading. To get the first product you had to say "hurry" and that put you automatically on the more expensive one. Such a scam.

I ordered a free sample for $4.85 shipping. They withdrew $44.85 from my checking account. They claim that when you order the free sample you automatically order the two other products. I read it very carefully and there was no mention of this. They are not answering my e-mails and when I called they told me there would be a 60 minute wait. I went to their www.getorderhelp.com which told me I could not cancel my 0rder but I could cancel my membership which i had no idea I belonged to. They claim I can send the products back but after two weeks I still don't have the products. This seems to be quite a scam.

I was sent products that I did not order. They also charged my credit card for things that I did not order. When I tried to call them I was on the phone for one hour and thirty minutes before they answered. The man I got told me that it would be more money to return them and told me that he had taken my name off of the monthly renewal list. I hope so because we only have social sercurity and we are on a very strict budget.

Unauthorized Charges To Credit Cards
This company is connected to Celebrity-Smile.com, Celebritybrites.com and IWinWhitening.com. These 3 are all located at 3600 Oveanview Blvd. Suite 2 Glendale, CA 91208. I ordered a FREE trial tooth whitening kit from Celebrity-Smile.com agreeing to pay $4.95 shipping for it. Celebritybrites mailed it to me and CCN's name was all over the product. Next thing I receive 2 more kits that I DID NOT ORDER and there is a charge of $39.95 on my Discover card issued by Celebrity-smile. I contacted them and told them to STOP sending more that I did not order and they told me I had signed up for some ongoing program, which I never did. I got them to cancel that and after a huge struggle I got CCN to agree to refund me $20 from the $39.95 charge if I returned the 2 kits to their Largo FL address. I did that and of course, I never got the credit from them. That was nothing...I then received my Visa card statement and there were 2 unauthorized charges of $88.97 issued by IWinWhitening. I contacted all 4 of them to complain and they all say that they are not the company I need to complain to, that I am going after the wrong people. Fine, so now I have turned it over to the BBC, Attorney General's Office and The Federal Trade Commission. I also filed payment disputes with my 2 credit cards. I keep finding more and more complaints all over the internet about these companies. My advice is to STAY AWAY FROM ANY OF THESE COMPANIES. They are all connected and you will be ripped off too.

I didn't even WANT anything from this company; I was signing up for free music downloads & in order to sign up, you had to order a free trial offer of Hoodia tablets from this company. The cost was to be the same $1 plus the $4.95 shipping cost everyone has gotten suckered in with. A few days later I got the package that contained the tablets and (like everyone else) the unordered gum and Hoodiawater, for a total charge of $48 and some change. I called to get instructions for return-I mailed items back as ordered (but only 2 days ago.) However, when I went online to pay the credit card last night, there was a SECOND charge on it for $38 something-I have received no further items so I presume this is for the theft they are perpetuating on everyone. I already cancelled the credit card with that number & have paperwork coming from my card company to document the dispute I filed but I urge everyone to call their credit card company to change their account number as quickly as possible.

Here is the email string I have had with them...constantly selling their product and claiming that it was clear that you signed up for autoship...their trial offer is crap! They make it seem like all you have to pay is shipping to try their product. Yeah, right!

Email #1 from me:

I've tried calling several times, but your wait times are ridiculous.

Based on your return policy, I apparently need an RMA number before I can ship
back the gum and water from this order. Please provide this to me ASAP so that
I can return the unwanted product within 30 days of my purchase date.

It concerns me that these items were added on in a fashion that it was easy to
not realize...it is near impossible to get a human on the phone by calling
customer service...AND, one has to jump through hoops to return merchandise and
expect any kind of refund.

The product I had opted to try, Hoodiastar, seems to be a good product. But,
the poor customer service and questionable ethics will prevent me from future
orders.

Please provide an RMA number right away so that I can possibly recoup $20 of
the $45 that I should not have been charged.

Relina Shirley

Email #1 from them:

Hello Relina,

Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry you want to cancel your HOODIASTAR
Lifestyle Program.

We currently have tens of 1000’s of people taking HOODIASTAR and getting good
results. Most customers stay in the program for at least 4 - 6 months. You
should take HOODIASTAR for at least 180 days to get your weight down to healthy
levels.

May we offer you an instant credit of $14.95 to keep your bottle? That would be
a $10 instant credit plus a $4.95 instant shipping credit. If you must return
it, please return it to our Fulfillment Center Attn: CCN Returns, 6950 Bryan
Dairy Rd. Largo, FL 33777.RMA jj111808. Please let us know what you would like
to do. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jessie Jacobs

Email #2 from me:

Did you read my email?

I do not wish to receive any future shipments from your company of any
products. That includes your Acai Pure (reference order #1392696). I am
keeping both trial offers, but I wish to return t he extra gum and water that I
received which I didn't realize were ordered.

Please confirm that no other products will be shipped to me. I didn't
realize that this was an automatic program in which you'll just keep sending
things and charging my card.

It seems that you have a decent product, you should try selling it with some
ethics and you might actually keep some customers.

Relina Shirley

Email #2 from them:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. The $39.95 charge was for the remaining balance of

Below is the link to the product that you purchased:

The AcaiPure Lifestyle Program gives you the opportunity to try the product

Email #3 from me (just sent):

Based on the timing, I will keep the product I have as I expect you would not refund anything if I sent it back after the 30 days - then I'd be out the charges from you in addition to shipping and have nothing in hand.

You are not authorized to charge my card for anything further. I don't want ANY more product from your company - not AcaiPure nor HoodiaStar nor anything else you claim I've ordered. I will be sure that everyone I know is aware of the scam you people are running.

Again, it's too bad because the product seems like it might be decent. In this economy, it's companies and practices like this that have hurt us. I don't even know how much you have charged me at this point and it all started from clicking a link on facebook to take a survey. Next thing I know I signed up for your product which has turned out to be a complete rip off.

Funny that the terms and conditions on your site is not currently functional. And, you have to state in your FAQs that when signing up, it clearly states that you are signing up for autoship, yet on your front page you blatantly state that it is a "risk free trial" and "just pay shipping".

There is a point at which creative marketing is really just a bunch of lies. Apparently everyone at Central Coast Nutriceuticals can't seem to tell the difference.

I realize that I may have made a mistake in my first order but I did send back the products that I thought I hadn't ordered. In the meantime I called my credit card and told them that the charges were incorrect for the POMClear and ACAI Pure and that I was sending back the gum and the water. They claimed that the only thing they could do was cancel the entire charges, which they did. I looked at my statement this month and I see two more charges for $39.95 and I assume there are probably two more packages in the mail. I will be calling my credit card tomorrow to cancel these latest charges. I realize after reviewing the website that I may have inadvertently ordered the other producst by mistake. The fact is though, that I did send them back and I can't seem to cancel my account. I was warned by my credit card people that it was probable that these people had an authorization to keep sending me stuff and that I would have to call them each month to cancel the charges. I guess the next step is to change my credit card number or cancel it. What a pain!

I am very angry over the recent order of your product. I ordered the free sample and was only suppose to be charged for s/h. I received my order with extra products that I did not order and my card was charged $44.85. This is fraudulent. To make matters worse I called the support line and was told the waiting time was 69 minutes, and since your need a RMA# to send back the product I tried the email address and Windows could not locate it. I did leave a voicemail on one of the other numbers and have yet to receive a call back. Is anyone out their ready to file a class action law suit. I am most upset with Central Coast Nuetraceuticals Inc. ! I talked to Kevin S. PER PHONE on or about 9/13/08. He cancelled the charge for the unordered HOODIAWATER and the HOODIABURST gum, I also received an RMA numer and returned the package, which was returned 10/16. While talking with Kevin I declared that I would try the Green Tea Extreme $1 Trial Offer; also, also that I did NOT want any more deliveries on any of your products! He verbalized he understood.
I have now received 2 unauthorized orders of GREEN TEA EXTREME with charges on my credit card for $44.o0 per delivery. NO ONE answers your phone, even at 2 AM. The message
states that they are experiencing an overload of calls, or something to that effect.
I am calling my credit card co. and complaining and asking for a charge back to you and a credit to me. YOUR BUSINESS ETHICS ARE REPREHENSIBLE!
I am unwilling to return the 2 bottles, 2 different deliveries without a RMA #. I do not trust you. -- Your company has changed my outlook on on-line ordering. WOE to you!

Wish I had looked at this site BEFORE doing the TRIAL ORDER which was supposed to be only $14.90 - now I have two additional charges in less than one month for $39.95 and $44.90 - recvd one more bottle - that is all and returned it unopened...Have no idea WHY they charged all this on my Visa except they must be a complete SCAM and know what they are doing. Wish I had seen all these complaints BEFORE clicking on their little scam offer. I have had to cancel my Visa Card so they cannot charge any more.

I don't feel like I've been raped as bad anymore! When I read all the complaints I suppose I wasn't shocked. The exact same thing happened to me also. It was like an occuring dream. I ordered a trial offer and got charged 44.85 on my credit card. Also more charges came in from other companies I didn't know. Hopefully I caught the charges in time to stop them. I am currently disputing these charges with my card company. Hopefully all these complaints will help my case. There should be a way to stop this company from all of these fraudulent charges. My next contact is BBB. I hope the owner of this rip off company can live with him or herself. I am also contacting Oprah Winfrey to see if she knows that she is backing a fraudulent company. I learned a valuable lesson. NEVER AGAIN!

This company cannot be reached by phone. I too have been charged $39.95 for something I did not order. My credit card company is helping me file a dispute. If this company is of integrity why can't they be reached by phone. It's a scam. Stay away.

I had the same experience...Am on the phone waiting for them to answer. Supposedly waiting time is 54 minutes 34 seconds...
I will contact my credit card which has another charge added.
I never received this package If I have to, I will close the credit card. What a rip off.
