Cell C is cell c giving personal information to external companies?

I got a call from a company, called the Product Shop, to say they phoning on behalf of Cell C . They are giving a reduction in my debit order for 2 extra free products. So I questioned her and said is this going to add onto my existing debit order and double it. She says no it will not. She had all my personal details including my id number, phone numbers, date of birth, where I bank. Everything. I see there are stacks of complaints on Hellopeter about the same scam. So how does she know I have a Cell C contract and have all my personal details as well?

Cell C about my account handed over mbd, after I have settled it by january 29.2019

I have called in early January 2019, to ask about my settlement of my account, then I was give the settlement amount, I deposited the money of R420 on the 29 January 2019, then I also sent the proof of payment to Sbongile Msomi so suddenly I was handed over to the credit bureau for what good reason I don't know, at least they should have call me and try to explain if something went wrong with my account but they failed to do, and I have made the mistakes when I deposited money by using my recent number instead of the previous number the one on contract, I admitted to that then again I fix the kind of mistake some day, I even called for cancellation of my contract, then I was told that they will cancel it. So now am very shocked that I have to pay R1470, for what this money for. My ID no is [protected] please help me out. Thank you

Cell C ended wi-fi contract but cell c still debit me

In July 2019 I called in at customer care services asking for my settlement amount on my Wi-Fi contract because I was aware that it's ending in September /October 2019. I spoke to one lady who gave me my settlement amount which was R252. I went and pay the money at Nedbank immediately as directed. What I was not told was that I should call back again and tell them that I paid the money. I didn't have that information and the consultant didn't tell me that after depositing, my account will not be closed. To me paying with a reference and having to call first was enough to me for my account to be closed. On 15 August 2019, I realised that R57 was deducted from my account by Cell C. Seeing that, to me it was the small money left behind before my account was closed. On 13 September 2019, a debit order went through from Cell C again for R295, 00 even though my contract was for R279 - R281 maximum, I was surprised what was it for, I called Cell C customer care and was told that my account was not closed. It was on Wednesday and the lady I spoke to said to me she couldn't hear what the lady was saying on record and promised to call me back on Friday after the recording have been listened to. I waited for that call but nothing. I reversed that debit order and told the lady that I'll await her call but nothing. I'm not happy with the way this matter is being handled because me reversing the debit order every month and Cell c doing nothing about my request affect my credit record. I wrote in an email to account department but no one responded. Should this matter not be resolved in the next 7 days, I will lay a complaint with consumer goods and services ombud. This is frustrating because your consultants takes an advantage of us by saying they referred my complaint to a certain department while lying. I believe all your calls are recorded and you'll be able to track my recording where I request settlement of closing my account. I'll appreciate your swift response to avoid unnecessary inconveniences. This is tiring because I'll not allow you to debit my account whereas I know very well that I asked for my account to be closed upon paying my settlement. It is your consultant's incompetence which led to this and how you sort it out its not my concern.

Cell C data signal not available in my area

I have sent numerous complaints regarding the non availability of data signal for both LTE devices and handset. I have sent emails to the relevant complaints department as well. I received a call from a technician at Cell C who said that he is unable to create a passage for us to receive a signal.
He advised that I cancel my contract using my same reference. However when I phone the cancellation department, they refuse to cancel the contract.

You have no sense of urgency! I am still paying for something that I am not able to use.
Do I as a Customer not have rights? Is your company beyond the Regulatory authority. You constantly answer on this platform that you are following up on my query, but to date I have had no one call me! It is obvious that your signal is not available in my area and therefore you cannot make contact. PLEASE can someone help!

Your company is dishonestly collecting money from me without providing a service. Can you call yourself a service provider when you cannot provide a service. You said you would send a technician to my are. That is also clearly a lie and a delay tactic. You are dishonest. Do you not care about your company integrity? Clearly you don't care!

Cell C contract

I pay cell c every month and they cut my line and tell me I am in arears, their customer service is useless and their reaction time is pathetic! They are making my credit bad and I wont be upgrading or referring anyone to use them! I dont get invoices or anything I just wake up and I have no network. I cant wait for my contract to end this is a horrible network, emailing bank statements and proof of payment doesn't help, not even going to a store they just arrogantly tell u what they see on their system not hearing what you have to say! The same thing just happened to me, they claim that my account is in arrears yet I've sent proof of payments to them for over 3 times. As it is, my account is suspended, I can't even make calls to the customer service. All the departments' service is disgusting, from customer service to legal and retention departments.

Cell C upgrade on cell c contract

In September 2019, I phoned cell c to upgrade my contract on a cellphone. It was delivered at my workplace within 48 hours. Later in the evening, I tried to get cell C to register the Rica Serial number so that I can start using the phone with number [protected]. I learnt that evening that the Sim card delivered to me is registered in another user. I then tried again on the following day and I was told the same thing. Finally, I requested a new sim card. This was delivered around early October. I then asked Cell C for a sim swap around the 1st of October 2019. this was done, however the line remained [protected] and whattsapp number was allocated
[protected]. On the 8th of October 2019, I wanted an instant data recharge on the whattsapp number and I was told, this [protected] is registered with someone else 's number. I am just so tired of this crappy service. This is the kind of service you give to your client when you have lost interest and no longer enjoy the job you are doing. Employees are sleeping on the job. I just don't understand why I cannot retain the use of [protected] on this phone and whattsapp. Kindly assit me in retaining use of [protected] on calls and whattsapp messages. Cell C Account

hi
I had a Glocell account and ask them to close the account 2 years ago and today I get a call from my home loan compouny that I cant get a loan because of Glocell account not paidup.

I phone Glocell to find out what the amount is that they say I own them and on there side the acount is closed but I owm
n them money. Know I dont understand why do they hand me over if my account is closed

Cell C cell c legal department

I have been trying to get a hold of the legal department for months now to settle my account, with many attempts to call or send emails with no response whatsoever. My account does now have a judgement on it and I just need them to call me back so I can settle my account as soon as possible. A month before my contract was to expire, I contacted Cell C customer service to notify them that I would be canceling and not upgrading.

I was told that I should wait for the 15th of September 2021 and then call again which I did.

The contract was still not canceled but instead I was billed for another month.

When I refused to pay , my services were blocked.

I was told to pay the arrears and send proof thereof with an email stating what I needed done.

This I did (attachments to prove this).

Eventually I had to close my bank account because Cell C refused to cancel my contract and kept debiting me via debit order and I was now liable for bank charges and my credit record was being ruined from having unpaid debit orders.

My contract is still not canceled and I am still being billed and harassed via sms and emails about monies I owe. How can I owe Cell C when my contract expired in October and all your fees for that device and service were paid for. What am I now still being charged for.?

I would like all the charges for the contract on [protected] to be reversed .

The only contract I have in place should be the router -[protected].

I am now handing this matter over to my attorney and reporting this to the NCA ombudsman.

I have a problem with cell c they canceled my contract with any notification I had to call them to find out they canceled and DEFAULT me on Itc they say I owe them R6000. When I called on the 27th of January they took the matter to their legal no 1 ever called

Cell C data

I took out a data contract October, 2018 at your Knysna branch. On the 1st August, 2019 your arrangement to use the MTN towers was cancelled leaving me with no internet connection. I spent 1 hour and 27 mins on the phone to you trying to sort this out. I was, never the less, debited with full amount at end of August, 2019. You finally cancelled my contract on 30th August, 2019. At the end of September I was once again debited in full. More calls to you. I have now received an invoice for R470.55 cancellation fee. I had a contract with you which you could no longer provide. I never cancelled... you are totally responsible for what has happen and yet you continue to charge me! You owe me, not the other way round! Please sort this mess out.

Cell C refund

I bought the wrong product at your Cradlestone Mall store on the 4th of October. Try to return it on Saturday the 5th, but the guy told my they to not have any cash in their till.
I need to come back later. I went back on Sunday, 5th of Oct., still no cash in their till. Surely I can not drive to Cradlestone Mall every day for an amount of R129, 00. How is it possible that they can not help me with a refund of R129, 00?.
Please this mather needs to be resolve quickly otherwise I will have to go to sosial media and Hello Peter to report is.

Cell C paying insurance every month and now that my phone broke there's just no assistance

I took out a new contract with Cell C about a year ago. As always I made sure the CellC insurance is also in order.

My phone fell and broke 24/08/2019. 30/08/2019 I took my phone in and it was sent away to be assessed. They told me it is R1 900.00 to repair my phone and the excess is R1 000.00. I was dumbstrucked.

My husband phoned the insurance where they told him I don't have insurance on my current phone (That fell and broke) but was paying insurance on a phone I don't even have anymore.

I requested a copy of my contract at the Tygervalley branch but still today I have had no service. All they tell me is that they are waiting. I mean it is already over a month that they sent my phone away.

I am really dissapointed that they debit insurance money every month and now no one wants to assist me. I'm upset for paying insurance and now they tell me they can't help me. It's very unfair. To start off with - It was the Sales Lady's job to make sure my insurance was in order and on the right phone the day she sold the contract to me.

Can anybody help me please. I need my phone repaired and going to the Ombudsman soon if I don't get some service here.

This is somewhat my last resort to lay a complaint and hopefully get some service.

Cell C returns

I'm really disappointed by the level of service at mall of Africa for such a beautiful store, too many consultants for no reason, I waited for almost an hour to be assisted they kept telling me that he is coming not even telling me who the he is, rather close shop because calling is much better than this poor service. I booked my phone 2weeks ago it came back with the same problem, at first they couldn't even find it I had to come back 3 times at the store for same reason. I am really disappointed

Cell C wrong upgrade package

So I phoned cell c to actually cancel 2 of my contracts and the guy I spoke to convinced me to upgrade. the deal was for 5GB Day and 5 GB Nite data @ R 89 per month.
one of my contracts upgraded correctly, the other one was only on a 1GB so he upgraded me again to a 3GB Topup with the promise of 2GB Free Day Data and 5GB Nite Free data and the 3GB at a 50% discount so my package could still cost R 89 including per month. at this stage im only receiving 3GB data. at a price of R 155 Excl.
I think this is really unacceptable to charge me so much as this is not the deal i accepted. after numerous mails to Mr Caleb O'Reilly nothing has been sorted. everytime he change my package, i loose my data and have to pay prorata for the new data. this is unacceptable is it's not my fault. and he doesnt want to sort his [censored] he caused. Please do a upgrade reversal and cancel my contract on [protected]. and please make this number prepaid. i have 3 contracts at cell c and have been a client for years now. it's really unacceptable to pay over R600 a month suddenly because of incapable staff.

Cell C new contract sales staff

Reference: SPI007763388.

On Friday 27th September I made an enquiry online about a new phone contract. I was called back almost immediately by a lady called Rendani Mabirimisa who went through the long process of checking my details. I then was asked to email my bank statements, proof of address and payslip, which I did straight away. Then I heard nothing.

On Monday I sent an email to follow up, and still no reply. Today I called the helpline and was told I had to speak to Rendani but that she was busy, I must call back. I sent another email to Rendani to which there was still no reply, so I called again. This time I was told by a customer service advisor that my application was unsuccessful (I earn a good salary and have a R1 600 000 house in my name but I can't get a cell c contract! but that is an issue for another time and I guess I'll stay with Vodacom).

My issue is that Rendani, or anybody from Cell C, should have called me back on Friday and told me, but she didn't. That is unacceptable customer service. That you make your customers chase after the sales people for updates on applications is unprofessional. The email which was sent to me on Friday with links to follow for updates does not work, the links take you pages that no longer exist. So customers have no choice to be left hanging and waiting for incompetent, rude sales staff. If i take the time to talk to your sales staff for nearly half an hour, and send them my private financial information, I expect to at least be told the outcome of the application.

A shocking experience from Cell C and one that I will never repeat.

Cell C service cancellation - still billed for it

I have cancelled my data contract on the 08th of August for number [protected], Renata Tedesco, I have received sms from Cell C that the contract will be terminated on the 08/09/2019 but I was still billed R.105.00 on the 30th of September.
I will ask my bank to stop debit order from my side and I am asking you to kindly terminate the contract as my IPad and number I have mentioned above is not working. I can't access Internet since the 08th of September 2019 as you have suspended the service but you didn't cancelled the contract and debit orders.
Please stop debit order from your side and stop billing my account.

Cell C iam yet to receive deliveies for two new contracts from cell c but all I get is rudeness and dissapointment my quiry is still unsolved

Hi I ordered two contract on the 25th of September was assisted by a guy named Sipho Mhlali, who made me aware that my order will get to me the following day latest friday the 27th i called in thursday the 26th to follow up as i had not received any notification, i was told that they cant puick up the order and after the call i started to received approval sms's . i called in on friday to follow up and was advised by cell c that my order will be delivered beforeend of business, called in later that day and another consultant advised me that my order will only be delivered monday, i got the chance to spaeak to Sipho Mhlali before his knock off tome at 4 pm as advised by the agent who transfered me to him, he was very rude and was asking if i want to concell the contracts or not and after some exchange of expelanations he said EISH and dropped my call just after 4 PM on friday . called in again and i asked that they change my address as i would not be at home, the agent Thabiso Robert asssited me and chaged the address friday. i then received sms today from RAM that my order will be delivered today 30 September at my home address, called cell ce to find out why and i was advised that they will call the RAM to reroute to my office address and deliver today, when i called RAM they advised that they still need permission from sender to change delivery so my order will only be delivered wednesday. called in later and spoke to Palisa who i was on a call with for an hour and advised that zinhle was the agent who i was speaking with in the morning and i needed to speak to but i still have not recieved call from her. called lastly and spoke to Vusi just before 5PM and he also could not assist me he, just like Sipho, dropped the call just after 5.

i am now confused as to what one needs to do and very sad

I am totally dissapointed with the service of cellc legal department . I reported my complaint with them about my contracts . I javr two contracts and they cancelled both contracts i have laid a complaint about them charging me for a contract that was upgraded and the never got back to me they cancel my upgraded contract as well as my pld contract to which i completed a two year contract. Please get someone two call me . [protected]

Cell C service

2 months ago I booked my phone in for repairs. Up to this day NO ONE has contact me. I have to contact them everytime. After a month and a half went by and I still haven't heard ANYTHING regarding my phone I was told the forms was filled in incorrectly and I have to go in and do it all over again. Once again I was told that they would phone me in the same week and I STILL havent heard anything. I have phoned numerous times sent numerous emails and all I am told is they havent received anything and still theybexpect me to pay excess. This is the worst service I have ever gotten.

Cell C account suspended

Just to put you in the picture this is what has transformed since July or so, and now at this stage my service has been disconnected.

If I recall some time in August I got a call from CELL C saying that my debit order got returned, who knows why as there was sufficient funds in my account as you can see from the attached statement. I was then asked if CELL C could run the debit order again to which I said yes and guess what nothing happened.
One can clearly see by the bank statement that this is not a problem from my side, I have spoken to Nedbank and they have also confirmed that this is not an issue on their side, so the problem must lie with CELL C. What also worries me is that my phone is a business tool and not a leisure tool, my credit ratings are obviously been affected and I am not sure what interests going to be added to my account for non payment, at this stage this is affecting my work and my costs involved in trying to sort this should be charged to CELL C at my hourly rate. I also have 4 contracts with you and only 2 seem to be a problem, so you should have my correct banking details.

I have all day yesterday tried to get through to your customer care, this service seems to be an absolute waste of time as one cannot get through to a consultant and your system is telling me I owe zero cents, what is going on.

Cell C data contract - [protected]

I am very unhappy about the unprofessionalism Cell C is demonstrating to me. I once had data contract with Cell C which according to me expired on the 27th of July 2019. I took it upon myself to call customer care two months before contract expires on two or three occasions just to confirm the procedures of canceling that contract completely when expiry date comes. The consultant kept telling me that contract can be made on month-to-month basis of which I was not interested in because I already had new contract with your competitor provider. Come August 2019 there was a debit on my account of which I reversed and then call customer care again for clarity and assistance.The consultant on that time mentioned that the contract was renewed according to the system.We then agreed that a recording be made available and will contact me in 24hrs. That never happened and I had to call again and I was told the contract is finally closed on 28 August 2019. This month another debit order again went through and I reversed it as according to me contract expired on 27 July 2019. I am concern that this might affect my credit profile.
