Cell C Smartdata 30gb topup

Agreement number: [protected]

My father passed more than a year ago. We contacted cellc and let them know, and asked them to cancel the contract. They asked for documentation (i.e. death certificate) that we provided, and asked for a number were we could be reached, that we also provided.

They never replied to the email, or called the number. We sent it though multiple times.

Nothing has ever been done, and the contract has not been cancelled.

Zero communication from cellc. They simply do not respond to emails.

They have now handed the case over to a collection agency.

What now? Are they going to try and collect from my dead father?

How do you get cellc to communicate?

Desired outcome: 1. Answer emails!2. Cancel the contract, retroactively to when we informed you of the fathers death

I've contacted sm@cellc.co.za. Multiple times. But the issue is still unresolved.

The only reply I ever get from them is "The matter was referred for a follow up. You will be contacted with feedback." But they never follow through.

Please answer me! I am so tired of being ignored!

Cell C Debit dispute or my account has handed over

Good evening, Last year September 2021  Cellc debited R1218   I was told that my account was on arrears and I requested my statement to show where the arrears are coming from and how much? Which was I never given.,

As I was question the arrears, I got a different feedback that I was charged for cancellation of  my contract. I called cellc on the 4th of august 2021 to give a notice that i'm  not going to continue  with my contract since  it was ended/ending

I was giving a notice as I was advised that I must give a 30days notice  before my contract ends so that they can stop billing. How can they charge me for cancelling the contract because I was giving the notice. The consultant even advised me that will charge me up to the 03 of Septemberbecause is 30 days’ notice meaning she understood that I was my notice, How can they charge giving cancellation notice if the consultant cancelled the contract with immediate effect is her own baby not mine. I cant be responsible  for your incompetent consultant.

 I think my contract ended in july if not august. today I called requesting a paid up letter I was told that my account was handed over to lawyers. how can they handover the account that was over-debited. Cell c is playing with my credit score.. Ive logged several dispute last year. No one bothered to call me back when I call the callcentre they keeps on repeating the same thing that i'm disputing and the dispute department  cant get hold of me. I was never ever given a chance to explain my dispute myself to the person who was investigating my complain.

Desired outcome: -I need my cellc statement from the day started paying to the last day of my contract? i want breakdown of R1218 that they deducted and I want the extra amount back to my accountand i need settlement letter and please close my account

Cell C A cell phone contract

We have been emailing and phoning Cell C to cancel a contract of a deceased, but to no avail. The deceased's wife agreed to make payments of the contract after he passed away and now we are not able to cancel this agreement. The telephone operators requests us to send an email and then we never receive a response from the company. The widow is struggling financially. This is unacceptable.

Desired outcome: We need feedback from Cell C as to the procedure to cancel the contract.

Cell C Cancellation of contract not being adhered to

My cell c contract has expired a long time ago and i send a mail through to cancel this contract as i have not been using it for almost more than a year.

After cancelling the contract end of 2020, cell c was still taking money monthly from my account which i then had to block through the bank as my account was paid up and was cancelled. You will see that i have not even used this contract since prior June 2020.

Now my husband is being harassed with messages stating i owe cell c still an amount and that they do not have records that the contract was cancelled

Cell C Samsung A52

Good day,

I entered into a contract with Cell C on 02/03/2022, the handset that I chose was the Samsung A52.

The first issue that I had was the fact that my cell c sim card which I had for several years was dragged across the table which resulted in it being damaged. I haven't been a contract customer for a few years so I assumed that my device would only be active in a few hours. needless to say, I woke up the next morning and my phone could only make emergency calls. I had to call the call center and I was advised that I would need to do a sim swop, that was a nightmare as they complained about something being duplicated - I am happy to provide details in order for the calls to be listened to. I had to pay for the sim swop yet this was not my fault...

I was only able to use my device on the Friday night - I had to wait 4 hours after the sim swop. My phone started heating up on Sunday 6 March and it did several software updates. I ignored the fact that the phone needed to do the updates and I updated after each prompt I got. The picture then started becoming distorted and the battery ran flat within an hour of it being on 100 percent which was strange. The phone then heated and restarted several times the next day. I managed to hold the buttons down and power off the device. I left the device for about 20 minutes and switched on. This became continuous to the point where I was unable to access any of my apps due to the phone restarting constantly.

I went to the store and I was told the following which I typed up on an email and sent to the store:

I am quoting from what was said by your colleague and yourself yesterday, “Cell C is aware that the batch of Samsung A52 are faulty.” I would just like to know if Cell C is fully aware that the batch is faulty, why not recall the batch instead of continue to advertise it and make sales at the customers expense? I am not happy that the phone will be fixed and sent back to me, the handset is purely defective, and I understand that it is not an out of box failure however, it was known that the batch of phones were defective. Cell C is aware of the issue and am not going to sit with a contract for 2 years when it has already started this way. I really want to know what the outcome will be after the phone has been tested and repaired. I feel as a consumer, if I am going to be paying for something then it needs to be fully operational in working order. I don’t have the phone for 2 weeks and it is already malfunctioning and I know that this will continue to happen.

the only answer I got is that they are sorry and there is nothing that they could do!

I have been trying to contact the repairs center with no luck, I am paying for something that was supposed to be brand new but is defective!

I am so irate at the lack of professionalism from cell c, I am seriously not going to be stuck with a contract for 24months with a device that they knew about - Cell C is very misleading and non transparent. they knew this batch of phones was defective and still decided to advertise the phone instead of sending the batch back to the supplier. I am not the first customer to have experienced this! I no longer have faith in Cell c.

Cell C Credit Score

i am struggeling for more than 3 months to clear my name with cell c as my account was paid up last year and still i have a judgement on my name for this account. i have made numerious calls to cell c even the debt collector has contacted cell c and with no luck cell c is comming to the party to resolve this matter, i am fed up with this service provider as their services are non exsistant and quick to phone for new contracts but they cannot do the needfull.

you just cant get through to someone that actually can do the job and clear my name, i am going the legal way now to clear my name with this service provider

i have a paid up letter from the 3rd party that collected the monies , but cell c what a joke!

Please ugently get this cleared and notify me of the same.

Cell C products

I contact Cell C on Jan / Feb 2022 to cancel my contract. The agent advised me that I can do it and that the last instalment will be deducted as agree on my salary date of March 2022. On my salary date I got a deduction of more than my normal installment as agreed. I called in and the agent advised me that I renew my contract and this was done without any agreement or acceptance from me. I need to get this contract cancelled and the Cell C contract to be removed from my name.

Cell C upgrade not actioned by cellc

Hello.

I have been a cell c customer for just over 10 years and hardly had any issues with the company.

However when it came due for my upgrade, a consultant keeps phoning and then they check but dont get back to me. they tell me that my score is low. i told them that i was under debt review but paid up all my accounts 2 years prior. i am not sure what the problem is but if cell c can give me fibre last year why cant you give my upgrade? and i also just purchased a car so tell me why cant i get the upgrade? or must i after so many years, go with another cellphone company...

Cell C Laptop

I bought a laptop contract at cellc, the laptop arrived on time, but this laptop was very slow, I thought it was update, still it's very slow, after 10 days I went to Northgate mall, I got the bad service of my life. I was told I need to figure out how to book in the laptop. I called cellc customer care they told me to go to store so that they can book it in for me. Then I am now at Cresta to book it in. Hopefully they will fix it or provide a laptop that functions well. It's painful paying for something that doesn't even work well.

Desired outcome: I need the laptop fixed or give me the laptop that works or cancel the contract and collect your laptop back.

Cell C Refund

I have mistakenly made a payment to cellc i am not a client, they have not contacted me or made any refund i am now in a medical emergency and need that money and they dont care i called over 100 times and nothing has been done what do i do now? This is going on for over 2 months now and i get nothing from them, i need help i need my money my health depends on it my name is Adrian Chetty my number is [protected] please contact me or i will go to all complaint platforms including social media because this is now taking a toll on me

Cell C Contract Expired around 2 years ago at the time my sim was suspended

Hi So i had/have a contract with CellC which expired about 2 years ago. At the time i was a few months behind on my payments hence the suspension. i requested for contract to be closed and i started using a prepared. keep in mind that i had this number for like 15 years but i was not abel to pay the +-600 i owed. guess what now i get am able to settle what i owe to CellC am i am told i have to pay 6000 like how guys the initial contract was only 135 month how on earth can i pay that.

I have called your customer so many times over the last year and i never get any joy or response. But today just took the cake the i called once again and guess what i am told that i need to pay the 6000 and than they will see what they can do really come.

O by the way that contract value only stands at 3240. O and you bill me based on that the contract is now month to month for two years but you suspend the sim so like how is a person supposed to pay for a service that they are not even get and then the i get a 70 a month fee charged for reversal of debit ordr due to insuffienct funds.

Desired outcome: Please i need to pay what was due to you at the point of suspension but nothing more guys please.

So I just got a call from a cell C rep. The guy has a guts to tell me that what cell C is doing is correct and that are protected by ecasa really.

What [censored] you try and reach out for assistance I spoken to over 15 different consultants at cellc and every one of them simpatises and under what I'm saying but they cannot assist how guys how. Ao and big the way every other company will hand you over to a collections agency af a few months of non payment but cellc cellc just keeps on billing you every single month for what

Cell C Cell Phone Repair

I have taken mu phone for repair on the 16/02/22 and arrived at the repair center of assessment on the 18/02/22.

I kept om following up, as they response was always: "We are still busy doing an assessment. Finally on the 03/03/22 I received an text informing me that I was required to accept quotation. Following serval calls and promises, I received the quotation.

On immediate payment and sending "Proof of Payment" to the email provided, i got the message that this email full.

I went onto Facebook and complaint and was given another email address. On sending the proof of payment, I got message that to inform me I need to keep following up.

Today 17/03/22 , I was informed my repair was still not processed and under review.

Desired outcome: I want my phone or option to cancel my contract.

I contacted cell c as many times and I dont understand why you cant cancel above sim where they billed me extra. I refuse to may more for service that I dont know. I have contract of r250. Now they bill me more than r750 and r500 for much. I dont know where to complain to, I wrote to hello peter no responds, called bo solution from back office, now im sending mail to fraud query. Just cancel the sim I never had it.

Cell C Fraudulent account - no assistance or support

I have been a victim of identify fraud with Cell C being the service provider. I have lodged numerous occasions from emails, to phone calls to physically visiting their retail outlets. I now have a bad credit record claiming I owe Cell C R 31 000! I have never ever attempted to open up an account, owned an account or use any Cell C service ever.

I have now been back and forth with every single credit bureau trying to resolve my credit record with no resolve thus far. Even the credit bureaus do not get responses from Cell C.

I would not be suprised if this is an inside job!

Desired outcome: Letter from Cell C to confirm account was opened fraudulently and I do not owe them a cent. I need this to fix my credit score to apply for finance! Cell C Account No: [protected]

Cell C Paid up letter

I lost my job due to COVID 2 years ago and I could no longer pay my cell c contract , I found a job within months after losing it but by that time my account had been handed over to SSDA a debt collection agency and I paid my debt through them. My problem is that is has been 6 months since I paid my debt off and I still have no received a paid up letter from cell c and every time I contact SSDA they say that they have requested it from Cell C but are still waiting and this is absolutely ridiculous. I paid what I owed to Cell C almost 7 months ago and yet I’m being ignored now. It is severely affecting my credit score and ability to do things for myself. My number is [protected]

Cell C Cell C

Am frustrated with the service am getting from Cell Just took up a new contract and my phone is not connecting to the network and data is finished within 2 days. When I call the customer service they put me on hold for long and still my query is not resolved. I've been a valued customer with Cell C for a decade now but this recent experience is costing me and jeopardizing my job.

Desired outcome: My network issue to resolved soonest or cancel my contract with no monies to be paid. reimburse my data that is vanish with no explanation.

Cell C Cancellation fee on a month to month contract

I took a contract with cell C, a month to month contract, and was advised that I can cancel it any time I want, hence it runs on month to month basis.

Now when I want to cancel I am told that it has been converted into a 24month contract, and they were still going to send me communications that it has been converted. I called their customers care to find out which contract do I have, they say it's a month to month, hence on cancellation department it's a 24month contract. Why do they have 2 data which are not the same.

The reason I took out the contact was on terms that I can cancel it anytime,with no cancellation fee because it's running on monthly basis but now when I want to cancel they tell me that there's a cancellation fee, for what, because I never broke any policy. I never signed up for a 24month contract, if this is a way to lure people into contracts then you've messed up with a wrong person.

Legally I'm not obligated to pay any fee for contracts I never signed up for. Cancel my contract and bill your consultant for falsefying info inorder for us to take contracts.

Now as we speak they say they won't cancel the contract if I don't pay the fee but already they've withdraw their data and closed them, they've suspended their services to me.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response from you with a cancellation letter and a settlement letter that I don't owe you anything.

CONTRACT CANCELATION

CellC is bad news guys and this company must be closed.

My husband took 2xcontracts(Sim for wifi & phone) for me on August 2019. Which was suppose to be finished in August 2021. We phone to cancel the contract online and they told us to cancel at the shop and we went to Galleria shop they told us to cancel online,it was their words against us and was not resolved. They did continue to deduct R499 even if they do not load data on the other Sim card till my husband last month reverse it because they took R1500 which we didn't it was for what. Not we went to Umlazi Mega City to complain the gave us again a number 184143 to phone and cancel. We finally got hold of a consultant who told us we owe Cell C R1900 which we didn't know what was it for because our bank statements shows they were deducting ever since. CellC is a scam and fraudulent. I wouldn't advise people to take contract from them. We are so passed off. I am thinking to expose them on our private investigator and on paper news.

Cell C Cell c contracts - paid up

My contract with CELL C has ended in November and my account paid up full in November 2021

I have been waiting more than the 48 Hours as advised by Cell C for a contract paid up letter.

Reference numbers are **********and **********.

Every time you call the call center and provide your reference number its either an excuse that the system is offline or slow or they need to create a new reference

My credit score is messed up because CELL C hasn't sent this data or paid up letter to Transunion/Experian and every month i still receive invoices saying i owe CELL C R0.00

The service is terrible and as a result I cannot buy anything because of Cell C's lack of competence and to this day is still a problem and no paid up letter!

Cell C Paid up letter

Since November 2021 i have been sent from pillar to post & not being furnished with a paid up letter. In January 2022 i received an email saying they have attached a paid up letter but there was no attachment on the email. I have called customer care & cases being logged but i seem not to be receiving meaningful assistance from cell c
