CEC Solutions Better Business Bureau rating

I have read all of your complaints and am very, very nervous. I too fell victim (sucker) to this company and have been dealing with them since August of 2009. This week, I received a ship date of November 6, 2009. I have called them with questions and have never been put on hold longer than 2 or 3 minutes and my questions have always been satisfactorly answered. I would like to know if there is ANYONE out there with anything remotely positive about this company. Im giving them the benefit of the doubt right now, because nothing really negative has happened YET. Trust me, i will be back here if i get the "runaround" as many of you did. Please feel free to email me at [protected]@yahoo.com. I, too, am a single mother with a limited income. This is the only way I could get a new computer. HOOO RAY! I did indeed receive my merchandise from CEC Solutions. Now, I waited and waited SOOOO long for this merchandise, that I went out and bought a new computer at the nearest computer store. SO, anyone interested in a BRAND new monitor, computer, keyboard, etc.? HA HA never taken out of the box. However, I never received my extended contract item (a camcorder) and when I call the 800 number I get a message saying CEC was bought out by another company due to the economic crisis. YIKES! will this EVER END? I only have to complain about the amount of time it took to receive my merchandise. The first payment to CEC solutions was deducted out of my checking account on August 13, 2009 and I JUST received my merchandise a few months ago. Guess better late than never. But, they sure dont miss ONE payment coming out of my checking account FAITHFULLY every damn week! and OHH do they REALLY report you to the credit bureaus, (remember, this is supposed to be a credit improvement program) HAS ANYONE benefitted from THAT?

I just paid off my plan for the laptop. I did get my merchandise. The problem is there was always a problem or hassle on getting it. I am not just putting the blame on CEC because I did not follow through on a signature page, but to get people on the other side of CEC to tell me the same story was a problem. I finally got a supervisor and she assisted me right away, within two weeks my merchandise came in. I am still waiting for my printer and Wii. The printer was ordered three months ago and was attempted three times to be sent to me, once the factory had a problem with it's shipping addresses, another time it was back ordered, and the last time they sent out speakers and something else and would not deliver the printer until they received the speakers and whatever else they sent wrong to me. I just called them last Wednesday and they received the merchandise and is sending out the printer the next week. The Mp3 player we got was ruined in route and they are replacing that as well. I don't doubt the company it just seems there are too many ropes to get merchandise for the price you have to pay. It is a good program when it works smoothly. I do wish the company would put out a website where the member could log in an check status and receive online support. I have been on the website and the status is very limited. Like I said this is a good program just with a lot of problems (company policy maybe). I am thinking about doing it again for the T.V. once I get my other merchandise next week.

CEC Solutions CEC SOLUTIONS/GARBAGE!!

WOW! Where do I start! when I first heard CEC Solutions on the radio, I though this was going to be HUGE do to fact "the ECONOMY is so screwd up" ...I referred CEC to a few buddies who were having issues and they promptly called to hear the details. All three friends started a contract that day and paid the initial 99.00 deposit and was told they would receive software, mp3, Nav and of course a computer that was to be delivered after 3 consecutive payments. this was March of 2008...and can you believe..only one has been received. One friend particular has gone through hell. He literally had to call over 15 times a week, send letters and emails and yell to get any info. He was given over 10 delivery dates, 5 times he was told they never received paperwork from him and after 7 months in...he was even told his employment wasn't verified so he missed out on all the specials that was offered at that time. And of course...no refunds! Actually...in the contract is states that if their were any legit issues due to billing, then a refund would be rewarded!hummm... who out there thinks paying for something that was to be received in a matter of weeks...almost a year later...thats a billing issue along with many others! I'm a lawyer and these guys are in for an awakening! Trust me CEC! I have a list of all Managers, and Sales who's had conversations with customers and a lot of recorded conversations that you would be shocked to listen too. You are all accessories...and your business will fall! You're rude, unorganized, theives and so heartless. I wonder how you get business being so CRAPPY! DONT CALL THIS COMPANY!YOU WILL LOOSE MONEY!

weve ordered a computer in feb 2008 and we havent recieved it yet eventhough its paid for. we have been getting the run arounds forever on march 23 08 the reason for not recieving it was because dell was behind on shipping so they switched it over to hp and when i called on today april 21 2009 i was given a tracking number and told to call ups and when i called ups they informed me that the tracking number didnt have any information on it so when i called cec solutions back i was asked for my name and information and then hung up on twice. i called back again in the same male told me that he had given me all the information that he had and couldnt give me anything else to keep trying ups and hung up on me. these people are very rude. i cant afford to give up all that money and not recieve any merchandise. i need answers because supervisors always seem to be busy when u call cec solutions...

CEC Solutions Highway robbery/runaround

I ordered my computer in May of 2008 and did not recieve it until December. This company deducts $99 from my acct bi-weekly. In June, I recieved a letter saying Imy computer would arrive in 4-6 weeks, when that didn't happen they gave me a delivery week for September 29th - October 6th because dell was "backed up" (fyi the computer that arrived was an HP) After getting the runround for another 2 months some guy claiming to be a supervisor said that my shipping was delayed because I work for a bank, thats conflict of interest. he assured me that my computer would arrive by Dec 3rd which was the start date for my online course. Nope, it finally arrived Dec 13. I couldn't stop pymnt and risk ruining my credit so these people toyed with me for months and caused me to do my online courses at a friends house. They even had the nerve to hang up on me when I called in upset and told me they can refuse shipment until the merchandise is paid n full.

CEC Solutions False information

We also have been missed led by this company. We also signed an agreement with this company all the way back in January of this year and we were told that our delivery date wasn't until we made five consecutive payments.We made a hell of a lot more payments than that! Yes, we did miss a few payments I will admit, but we allowed them to take out double payments until we were current and then we were given a delivery date of the first week of June. That never happened and then we were told that since we missed payments it delayed our delivery. O.K. we understood that so we were consecutive for the next 8 weeks and we then called them back fofr a delivery date in which we were given the first week of August. We did recieve a delivery but it was only the printer and haven't recieved a phone call or a computer since. I don't think this company is being honest they get people suckered in with the idea that low-income families can also afford home computers for their kids.I feel the reason this scam was such a success is because computers are needed for our kids education all moms are not stay at home moms we have to work. We don't want our kids to have to go to the library alone the streets are not safe for children after school anymore. While I at work I need to know that my child is at home safe until I return home. CEC is taking advantage of us low income families because of our low credit scores they know every household basically needs a computer and its just not right. Telling us that this will establish credit for us and that it would look good on our credit reports. JUST LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES. Hopefully someone will stop them and possiblly return the THOUSANDS of dollars that they have already stolen from LOW INCOME FAMILIES!

CEC Solutions is the biggest rip off company cant believe no legal action has taken against this company it took us One year to get our computer but we were never given what we were told we were going to br given.

CEC Solutions the highest interest rate you will ever pay.
I called the 1-800 number and asked for a computer model number and I was told that the computers don't have model numbers because they are "built to order", ok so give me the specs..well here you go Dell or HP desktop 17" flat panel monitor (they will talk this up, it's worth about $150 at best) a CD/DVD combo drive (pretty much standard) Windows Vista or XP, 1 gig RAM and 80 gig hard drive, MS works, Keyboard, mouse, speakers. and your super duper free gift is a Wii, a tv, or some other trinket that sells for about $200 but is worth about $100. So now the price, just $99 down and 29.99 every week for a year you get this fabulous computer! well kids that is $1658.48, if you pay on time big penalties if you don't. Now, there is a computer at a large retail electronics chain onsale right now, a Dell computer with a model number I530S-119B for $599! 4 gigs of RAM yes, compared to the 1 gig. and 500 gig hard drive, not 80. and yes if you pay cash for it (lets say by putting aside $30 a week) you will save over $1000.

CEC Solutions Not recieving Merchandise

I started making payments to CEC solutions the second week of Feb 08, after approx 6 to 7 months of continuois phone calls and many calls placed on hold for over 45 min to 90 mins at a time I recieved my computer, also I was told of the Dell corporation having layoffs witch had a impact on my order witch was out of CEC solutions hands, now that I recieved my Computer the Software package, the Digital camera, that I am paying for is on back order and this company has no idea when it will be available. But will continue to take my money . Until they may give me a better answer. I have contacted WQAD (ABC) better buisness bureau, for assistance, because I am fed up with the lies, from the so called supervisors and employes. I have tried to be sensible and discuss these issues with this so called company, Most of the time they wish not to respond.

I read about CEC Solutions since 2017. I made the agreement to have a Dell computer with printer for the total of $1800. I agreed to pay the 34.98 per week. It's been since 12/21/07 that i gave them the deposit of $99 + 5 consecutive payments in one shot to receive the paper work. After sending out the paper work, they said there is more paper work to sign. I overnighted the paper work so I wouldn't meet any delays. Today is 5/14/08 and I still didn't receive the merchandise. I was told my ship WEEK was 5/5/08. Today they said 'Dell is 2 weeks behind in shipments'. After the phone conversation today with CEC Solutions, mgr. James indicated he 'didn't have a good feeling about the conversation' and suspended my acct. Meaning I am not receiving a computer nor printer and they have my $903. If you spend $903, get a run around when you will receive something that is 1/2 way paid for, I'm sure you will be quite upset as I am. I am a 25 yr old single parent and I felt like I've been robbed. I read about CEC Solutions all the time and how there are so many complaints. James indicated their company has over 200+ thousands of clients. I hope people read my story and don't allow themselves to be deceived by CEC Solutions. I have lost out on a lot of money and a long case to go for. Either take it or leave it, I LOST.

I singed up for a computer in December of 08 to pay on a payment plan of 30 dollars a week. I payed for the computer every week until march of 09 when i became unemployed. I could no longer afford to pay so i cancelled and asked for my money back. I was informed of no refunds. How can they just keep my money this is close to 400 dollars how can they keep my money due to hardship in hard economic times. I am still unemployed and don't know when i will return to work and i need this money. How can a company that makes all kinds of money keep my money when it is my money and if i want a refund i should get it. Whatever happened to the costumer is always right.

On June 17, 2017 a friend saw the advertisement for CEC Solutions aka Guaranteed Consumer Funding and knowing I had been basically ripped off 3 times in a year, suggested I give them a call.

I did and spoke with a Rob Boynton, operator # 138. He seemed very genuine and he assured me that if I kept up my end of the agreement that I would have a computer within a month.

On June 21, 2017 I sent the $99.00 down payment and have steadfastly paid $29.99 each week (with the exception of 1 week in September when I was hospitalized and had no income and 1 week in November when my checking account was cleaned out by a scam).

I am a cashier and cannot afford to buy a computer outright and this is the 4th time my hard earned money has been taken and I don't get what I am promised. It is now December 16, 2017 and I have made 21 weekly payments along with the downpayment, totaling $729.76. I have jumped through every hoop they put up and they always give me one more thing I have to do before they will give me a ship date.

When I call I am on hold no less than 20 minutes before even speaking with a representative and they are no longer nice to me. I am given all kinds of excuses (the audit dept is in a morning meeting, the supervisor is away from his desk, etc) as to why I can't get any answers.

From day one I was told NO REFUNDS, so I keep paying the weekly payments(that is taken straight out of my account) hoping that I will get my new computer and afraid to stop paying to just give up that money. Should I stop and just cut my losses? Or continue and pray this won't be just another rip-off? I feel so gullible and dense.

I contacted this company about a computer because mine broke down and wanted one fast, they were great until I gave them access to my bank account and stole 300.00usd from me never received on thing from them except bank statements(mine) that showed how they were steady taking money for nothing, I got wise to them Called the better business bureau who did nothing, and told me to get an attorney, They are rude fradulant pigs whom prey on the less fortunate.I want a full refund and Apoligy, and them out of business so they cant do this to anyone else, the creep that was dealing with me saying the address I gave him was wrong, which is a lie they had the correct address and even if they didnt I received all my other forwared mail.liars cheats and down right dirty pigs!

I ordered my laptop in August 2017. I was promised that I would receive the products in three weeks. I called many times a week to get my laptop, finally they told me that I could not receive my laptop until it was paid off because I have no bill that is in my name (whatever). I have ask many times to talk to a supervisor or manager to talk about my account, I never received one phone call. Finally I get the laptop paid off and get one excuse after another why its not being delivered. Finally in Dec of 2017 I get my laptop but its not what I had ordered I got a hp and not a dell, it also has vista when it was to have xp. I didn't get the programs that were promised with the laptop. I also ordered the wii system with the laptop and was told many different stories about when I was going to receive that. I got a delivery date of Dec 14 2017 when that day came and went I was promised Jan 24 2017 now that day has come and gone I called yet again to be told that I would not receive it because I no longer qualify for it. Now remind you I paid this off July 2017. I wished there was something that I could do. This company should not be able to get away with this. I could have just got my laptop and wii system much cheaper at Walmart. If there is anybody that knows what can be done please inform me. Hopefully people will read these before going through this company. If you feel like getting ripped off and upset just about everyday and long wait times on the phone just to have them hangup on you then this company is for you.

CEC Solutions Rip off

Like the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. I too must admit i am a current victim of CEC however i am closing my account in the morning. After reading the horrible stories of other consumers, why should i wait any longer? I am currently being fed the same bull from the customer service reps. "Dell is currently backed up, you should receive your computer on Sept 22nd and if you don't receive it after a week later, then give us a call and we'll give you a new expected delivery date, but keep making payments and you'll improve your credit" Lies lies lies." And i am thinking i bet if i ordered from Dell then i would have it by now. Ive lost about 800.00 to date but i have to remember to at least check complaintsboard.com and this site before i get into anything else. I need to take care of my credit and then i would never fall victim of scams like this. I wouldn't be surprised if some office building gets massacred over this kind of stuff. As hard as times are today... Its a shame that theres still people like this.

But i am a firm believer in reaping what you sow.

cec solutions is a rip off after paying over a thousand dollars an giving me the run around for a year they finanally send me a computer but its not a dell what i ordered they said that it would be another 6 months for it so what do they send me a cheap compaq whch i could have bought at walmart for half the price and i never got my scanner/printer either

after paying for a whole year and numerous call to there so called customer care line I have yet to receive my computer. I have gotten from them 6 delivery dates and nothing ever comes. when I call back to find out what there excuse is this time they say that the computer is on back order at Dell. they tell me that a manager will call me back and here i am 4 mths. later and no call these people are thiefs and must be stopped.

I started this program in June 08. $1931.00 Without missing a payment. My shipping date has been pushed back twice by more than a month, and a half. The information given to me by Customer Service Representatives is not accurate. My credit score has not improved. Not one of my messages have been returned. The only thing I have recieved from Guaranteed Consumer Funding is paper.

I started paying for my computer back in March 2008 and I still havnt receive my computer . Everytime I talk to someone after being on hold for up to an hour I always need to send something else now I have to fax them my check studs to show proof of income which I dont understand that because I just about have it payed for.Or it should be payed for now.

upon of not receiving my computer from cec solutions.im going on 3years not hearing from cec solutions a.k.a. gcf4all.i called duvera financial for a release letter stated paid in full customer.then release it to cec solutions.

I was promised a nintendo Wii upon the the full payment of my desktop. Its been over a year scince the computer has been payed off, but still no nintendo wii! Its unfare to present false advertisment especially when the original product was way over priced. JRHuss1@gmail.com

In 2008, I too was scammed. After many complaints to both this company and BBB, various tasks performed as requested by this company and arguing my point, I was finally sent some cheap and used computer. The "FREE PROMOTIONAL GIFTS" (mp3 PLAYER, 19 item software system and Nintendo Wii gaming system were never sent after I did as instructed within the time allowed and with good payment history. The customer reps were rude and not helpful as though they were involved in this scheme. They computer looked refurbished and didn't even come with an owner manual or any hardware. I believe that the only reason I received anything from them was because I contacted the BBB and was persistent. I waited a long time for this crap and eventually purchased another computer from QVC by DELL and I have no complaints with this one. The price for my Dell computer was at least half of what I paid for GCF/CEC's computer. Never again will I purchase another item without doing my research beforehand. This was much too stressful and a waste of both time and money.

CEC Solutions mis led on product /

I had finally receive my lap top after 5 months of harrassing then. Every week I called and called. I stayed on hold for up to 45 minutes just to tell them I wanted my lap top that I was paying for. Bu then when I received it, I didnt not have on it what I wanted and was told. It had VISTA on it and they told me it would have XP. It had only 1/2 gig of ram and Dell told me that you need atleast 1 gig of ram to run vista. "Everyone should know that" Dell service man said. "You got screwed". Also It didn't have Microsoft Word or any programs on it, and for 2, 000 Dollars, it should have had more. So stop payment on your product and hopefully the better is to come. Please check with or go online before you commit yourself to a company. Good luck!

made down payment and 6 patments then they started saying i hadnt been processed for delivery date for a month then they were out of computers, over and over untill i stopped account at 800 dollars. they said i could settle account and get a weeii game then they said they were out. then they said i could settle for video recorder, then they said i had to at least get desk top and told me i had to pay another 300 bucks. these fools are fake. ive contacted virginia state attorney generals office.

There have been a huge amount of complaints about this company, but very little on how to do anything about it. Sorry, but i don't want to hear your life story about how you got scammed. I did too... but maybe the people that have responded and said they have recieved their merchandise can help those who are still trying... if at all possible. Please respond with any phone numbers that can help and are not automated messages. Please tell exactly what you did to get your merchandise and how others can do the same... anything that will help gear me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

I too have been paying for a product since March of 2008, every time I call these people they give me very lame excuses. I was told in July that I would get the shipment the last week of August, it did not ship, I was then told that it was coming in Sept. The next excuse of why it didn't ship was the Stock Market crash. Then I was told it was coming in Oct. I did not receive anything, the next time I called it was supposed to be here 11-26, still NO COMPUTER. I called today 12-10 and was told that my acct. is now inactive because they have not taken a direct deposit since Oct. Of course I was never made aware of this info until I called them and they still have $1, 400.00 of my money and I still have no product. These are the most rudest and un-professional set of people that I have ever dealt with and I cannot believe that I let myself be SNOWED by them.

I have recently contacted the BBB about the amout of money(1, 000.00)including the fee, taken from my checking account and the non-compliance of intent to deliver of the computer that was advertise. I am seeking other legal advise and also rewriting the BBB, and the Attorney Generals Office for that state. After submitting the first complaint to the BBB, they responed back with my stopping payment on the account, but it had been 7months of withdrawling of my money and no computer.

I agree with you 100%. I contacted the BBB of Metro Area and they said that the company has an "F" rating and they can't get anyone to answer them. I was thinking about contacting Attorney General also to see if anything can been done with this ripoff company! BEWARE OF CEC SOLUTIONS AKA GUARANTEED CONSUMER FUNDING AKA GCF4ALL.COM!

I have completely paid off for an HP desktop computer 3 months ago. I have not received the MP3 player, computer or the Wii they just continue to give me the run around and no one will return my call. CEC Solutions - GCF is a fraud. I am going to contact a lawyer and see if I can all of my money back or the MP3 player, the computer and the Wii.

I just received my computer from Tronix Country. Tronix Country does not do credit checks but unlike the comments on CEC Solutions, they lived up to the contract I signed with them. They are also reporting to the credit bureaus on my continued payments. I did pay more for the computer than I might have at Best Buy, but I did receive what I ordered when it was supposed to arrive. If my credit score is improved (and I am making good payments on time) Tronix Country will be worth it. Also in reviewing comments on CEC, if you call Tronix Country, y0u will always get a live person.

one important thing we must know that the best way is to save the money and buy the electronics we want directli from the store.I bought a laptop with CEC SOLUTIONS and in order to got my lap top passed 8 months finally now I have it and I've seen some reports from them already to the credit bureaus, so this is good for me.they said that they are doing this because they have had coustumesr who just got the computer and then flew away. So I do sometimes understan them but they must put special attention in the coustumers who have good intentions like me or they are going to loss us as part of their business.

CEC Solutions is very misleading in that they led me to beleive that it was a rent to own agreement, when infact im starting to believe it was a layway program.
In good faith, in order to build up my lack of credit, not negative credit, i chose to do business with the CEC instead of Buddy Buy Right, which is two blocks away from my home, and would happily have taken direct withdrawl from my bank account.
With Buddy Buy Right i would have had immediate choice and use of the computer of my choosing.
With the CEC i made all of my payments on time, and i also paid bounce fees because they withdrew monies from my bank account at unagreed times and dates at thier will.
After refusing to sign the specifice clause in thier agreement to wave my rights as a consumer in a court of law, and my right to do trial, and repeated phone calls to the CEC i was verbally abused, laughed at, by the supervisiors in qoute "Oh well ###, you aint getting no money back, nananaboo boo! ".
I was shocked and confused, and could not beleive that in this day and aged that these ignorant types of people can still set up these types of scemes to defraud and steal from hard working American people and get away with it!

Please do not be mislead, do not do business with the CEC, they are theives and very fraudulent, And liers!
