I initially subscribed to this site but subsequently sent at least two messages to the link provided on the site to cancel the membership. However, they continued to take funds from my account so cancelled the authority.

I have subsequently received e mail from debt collection agency to recover more fees. This company are scammimg people and ignoring cancellation requests. I have received a letter advising i owe 285, and i do not as i gave specific email instructions to cancel the account. they have already taken 119 from me in january since i cancelled and now denmand more. This company are operating outside the realms of the law.

I have signed up and paid £9.96 for a one month premium membership subscription from 20/05/2022 to 19/06/2022.

I have cancelled my premium membership subscription within 7 days, so may account was still a premium until 19/06/2022 and then will become a free user account.

They ignored this cancelation and continued wanted me to pay £39.96 for next month premium membership fee.

I did not checked my email account for months, as I'm using different email.

They sent another email asking me to pay the £39.96, plus the handling fees of £10.00, total of £49.96.

They sent another email telling that, the debt collection will get in touch with me, means I will have to pay this amount and also any charges for the debt collection agency.

I signed up the dating site C-Date a couple of months ago on the trial to see how it was, after just 5 minutes it was quite obvious the site was just full of fake profiles or escorts so I just forgot about it since it isn’t what it’s advertised to be.

I got notification a few weeks ago that they wanted £49.96 from me for monthly membership which is absolutely absurd, I never wanted full membership. I tried looking all over the website to cancel but there is no facility at all to cancel, nothing on profile settings or their T&Cs which explains how to do it. So naturally since there wasn't a way to cancel the membership from the source (which there should be legally and it should be easily accessible), I simply cancelled it at my end by deleting the direct debit with my bank.

They are now chasing this money from me and are threatening to use a debt collector to come and retrieve the value which is outright ridiculous.

I am complaining because monies was took out of my account which i wasn't warned about or agreed to. I paid for a trial only.

Whilst using the app i was asked to rate the app which i never and would not. In the month of trial i seen two women in my area of choice the rest were women nearly 400 miles away which doesn't count as a dating app for me.

It was only a trial i wanted and then to see how it went, and if i thought it was worth it maybe i would of proceed but the numbers reflected that it was not worth any money.

I could not cancel the account before the first payment came off my credit card because the facility on the site where they tell to cancel is simply not there. This makes this a scam. I obtained a crime reference number and emailed the company. I blocked them from my credit card before they could take another payment. They are still asking for that payment as below via HCM collections

When I was on the site it became increasingly obvious that the women were not genuine. I asked each woman how much it would cost to have sex with them to test this theory and it did not phase one of them. This is a scam site with sex workers. It is not a dating site and the facility to cancel has been omitted to make it impossible for users to cancel.

Charged £50 For a renewal i didnt want, ive paid it and now i just want my account cancelled and deleted. but now the customer services are ignoring my emails.. funny that after i paid and they got what they wanted.

I was stupid enough to try C-date just as an experiment with minimal and maximum account. Regardless of the type of subscription it felt like a ghost city: only fakes and some bots. I switched to J4Date

- it took me less than a month to arrange my first date there and I was lucky from the first try. We immediately felt that spark, those crazy goose bumps and we are together now. But I still can’t cancel my C-date subscription! It’s easier to fly to the moon than to cancel it. I had to change my bank card to stop them from charging me. All those charges were unauthorized and fraudulent! Save your money and mental health and don’t engage with these rogues!

I bought a membership with c-date. The website advertise a monthly price of around 15 euros. After registration they charged my bank account 79 euros. Their explanation was that our advertisement was for a weekly subscription not monthly subscription. So I went to the website to find relavant info. There was none to be found! So I used Google advanced search tools to search for any notion of the price! There were none!

I figured by searching internet that men and women are charged differently. A price descrimination! Which I don't think is fair!

Then I had to deactivate my master card as they wanted to charge two extra months (as if I have purchased a three months membership)

I forgot to say that based on info in the website one month subscription should be 59 euros for men.

I wrote them an email they just ignored it. And they set an ultimatum for me to pay which I ignored. A week ago I received a letter from a company who has bought the debt. They said I have to pay 130 euros. With the deadline of a week and they will jack up the bill if I ignore it ...

There is no transparent pricing in this website for customers. For buying subscription the customers are led to other domains and they do practice predatory business... Never! Never sign up with them

By the way... I got to meet no one using their platform... So no success in dating...

After trying to cancel my subscription with c date they have now told me I have to pay £189.40 including £10 late pay. They have charge me for a further 6 months I don’t want. If I do pay I still don’t know if that is the end of it. If I don’t pay it is going to add up. I do not know what to do for the best. I have had enough and it is stressing me out.

By agreeing to paying for another 6 months I will never get rid of them and it will go on and on and now I am being chased by debt collectors.

Please help s I don’t know where it is going to end

I purchased the premium service to try for a month on the 09/05/2022 i though if I don't like it I would just cancel the subscription much the same as other dating services like plenty of fish badoo ect...

I tried to cancel via my profile before the month had ended as i found that the site was full of scammers ...

and just found i had to send them Fax to cancel my membership in 2022 lol which most people wouldn't also have access to... "SCAM"

so I cancelled my payment via PayPal

And now they are sending me threatening emails demanding money for a subscription for a service I do not use or want to use.

This is a Con and Harassment from this site.

And I will be consulting with my solicitor if they persist with this Blatant "SCAM"

I wish to cancel my subscription and blocked it at the bank today. I was told to try and contact them without any success. I paid for 6 months and thought they would ask to renew. In the meantime I have been issued with another demand for the next 6 months plus money for late payment. On top of that the email they give doesn’t work. I found myself stuck because I can’t use my profile to cancel and I am stuck as I don’t want another 6 months. They tell you to notify them but that is impossible So at the moment I don’t know what to do next they say you can stop it by deleting your profile but as they have frozen this you are unable to do it.

Tried cancelling membership following Terms of service, have tried to contact customer service and received nothing. Was given a number and heard nothing else.

My complaint is the same as many here. I joined up and paid a subscription for one month. After two days I realised that the site was a scam so I looked in every link on the website to cancel auto renewal AND delete my profile AND cancel membership.

No link could be found.

I had had an email from them advising more details needed in my profile.

With no other link available I replied to that email, advising I wished to cancel and I had cancelled repeat subscription with PayPal.

No reply. I emailed once more. No reply.

Then received another email from them, advising renewal payment due and penalties for non-payment. I replied again.

Then a notice of penalty and payment of one full month plus £10 admin fee, almost £50!

Today I paid it and this time wrote to collections, saying I want a full refund as in good faith I had advised cancellation. They said I used wrong email address. But I could never find it.

These people are thieves and they must be taken down. Also, I want my money back.

I have emailed them and they wont reply to it, i want to cancel the membership

Joined Cdate and subscribed for a month, after two days I realized it was a rip off company, built on misguided advertising, lies and false promises,

Aske for a refund and they said no as I had used the site, any contract has a14 day cooling of period so they are breaking the law,

I would advise everyone who is thinking of joining Cdate , do not it's a waste of time

went on website done 3 day trail , then suddenly they was taking money from bank account subscription fees that i did not give permission , i sent countless emails to cancel pot no help to cancel this , they have taking nearly £200 out of my account !.

i managed to cancel my paypal payment , now they are demanding payment with debt company , i keep emailing them with no help just cancel my subscription that i did not sign up for ! am i getting my money back they took!

i have not used site as rubbish and all fake accounts.

I have already requested to be removed in their system and terminate my membership. I believe C-Date are not honour their agreement .

The site is also full of so many fake profiles in fact I the vast majority are profiles are fake, a scam and neither trustworthy.

I'm kindly asking C-Date to cancel my membership and any money I supposedly owe them and to please stop sending me emails and threatening me with the debt collector.

This site charge me £200 and I can’t even log in never use this ! Big scam they should be stopped

I cancelled my subscription with your web site on the 16th of November 2021.

I have then received a letter, a text message and a whats app, informing me that I owe you monies for services that i did no receive in breach of service contract by European law aswell as uk law.

There were no previous emails or any form of contact to me in advance of this letter from eCollect that monies were 'owed' in breach of uk and EU law.
