I purchased a carvel ice cream cake in Hamilton NJ Shop Rite. Paid $35.99

As we waited for the time to eat the ice cream we cut into pieces and served to our guests as it was purchased to my sons birthday. As I started to eat the cake I seen a hair in my ice cream. I pulled up to Medford NY Carvel at 10:45 were I saw 3 girls chatting behind counter when I tried to open door it was lock and they just shook there heads at me. Then before posted closing time about 10:55 the girls proceed to leave all had there arms full of ice cream and I was not the only customer that was turned away. And the 3 door dash customers who came to door were also turned away claiming there orders were canceled. So it short how does company close before posted times more then 15 minutes and ca crl peoples orders cause they just wanted to hold home. No way it was coincidence that 3 orders were canceled. I am a good customer who visits 3 times a week average. So just not right .

Medford route 112 Carvel - popular store taking advantage of customers. Cherry and chocolate bonnets in freezer section-the smallest I’ve ever seen, using the smallest cone I have seen-they say called,” junior cone,” and the ice cream is flat on one side. Price:4.89 + tax. My standards are pretty low so if I get upset, it’s a ripoff. Thought Carvel Franchise should know. I returned the very small cherry bonnet to the freezer. The manager then made it like I don’t want to pay 5 bucks for anything. I took it as a cue to leave because I believe what she was warning me is that everything in that store is taking advantage of the consumer. So I left.

I frequent many Carvels but this size issue and presentation is new to me thank goodness.

On Wednesday, August 17,2022 I purchased a sundae at the Garden City South location with the promotion, buy one get one free. When I arrived home I thought $7.50 was a little high so I went online and reviewed the menu at the Stewart Manor store. The Stewart Manor price for a medium sundae was only $4.29. These two stores are approximately one mile from each other. The price for a medium sundae at the Garden City South store was 175% higher then the Stewart Manor Store.

I wasn’t happy and wrote a negative review. Shortly after sending the review I received a phone call from the Garden City South store who informed me that the published price of the Stewart Manor store was incorrect and they in fact charge the greater amount of $7.50.

Although, the two prices were the same for a medium sundae at both locations it is misleading to the consumer with the incorrect online price.

Lastly, three days later the alleged lower price of the sundae is still listed online at the Stewart Manor Store.

We were visiting some friends in Briarcliff manor and decided to stop at Carvel in Briarcliff manor on 4/2/2022, what a disappointment, the cashier had a horrible and racist customer service.. I will not recommend this place to anyone.. the girl name on receipt Livia was so racist and unwilling to do anything

VERY disappointed - have been eating these cakes most of my life. This was the worst cake ever - just put most of it in the disposal. Somehow, the frosting has changed - it was gluey more like egg white - practically no vanilla ice cream & very thick crumbles - it was awful. i have been purchasing these cakes for years - this was terrible. It was not old, spoiled or melted - I bought it at Walmart. We have a bunch of winter birthdays & I'm not sure I want to even purchase another & we always buy them. This location on metropolitan Ave is awful. The memu has multiple items with bananas such as banana barge, , etc.. but I can never get because they don't ever keep bananas in stock. I've already complained multiple times for at least a year and a half but management doesn't seem to care. Customer's should not have to bring their own ingredients to enjoy an ice cream on a hot day.

And to top this off… that vanilla ice cream was "not" at all carvel!

"I want consistency in my ice cream". I had real carvel in howard beach ny on cross bay blvd. Now I craved it to get completely disgusting ice cream with that greedy china made ice cream place. This needs to stop!

So I went to carvel to purchase an ice cream cone but I wanted to wash my hands first because i am a delivery driver and they denied me the bathroom but i have been to this establishment before and used the bathroom so I just walked out very angry and still needing to use the bathroom.
The world is open now so I don't see why they couldn't let me use the bathroom

Nothing like I remember... Purchased cake from walmart on pines blvd and 184 ave 33029 in fla and this is what I got... Photos included. Did you change how you make them? Crunchies not evenly distributed and cake looks like it had not set properly. Sad when you spend so much money, as we kept cutting it just got worse. Nothing like photos on box.

I received my annual free bday gift via email which is always appreciated. My birthday was on July 5th.
I must have opened the email too many times and when I went to the local carvel store to get my free bday cone the email wouldnt open and said that I opened it too many times. Therefore not the stores fault I returned home and contacted carvels 1800 customer service telephone number.
The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and I was informed to expect a new email with the same offer the following day.
When the email never came I contacted carvels 1800 telephone number a second time. This time I was told I would receive a gift card in the mail instead.
To my surprise, a $5.00 gift card arrived by mail the following day. I did not use it right away. I attempted to purchase a item at my local carvel store using this gift card and was informed the card had nothing on it.
Therefore I was left with no other choice but to pay for the item.
Frustrated I decided to contact u via email rather than dealing with your 1800 customer service telephone number again.
I do receive a lot of free and discount offers from other restaurants, stores, etc and have never experienced such difficulties.
Why would the free bday email offer not open if I never used it?
Why did I have to contact your 1800 telephone number more than once?
Why didnt the gift card corporate mail me work?
Please let me know if this can finally be resolved.

I went to my local Carvel store on 3/16/19 and gave a manufacturer coupon for $5.00 off any cake 32oz or larger (I purchased an 88oz cake), and the owner would not accept it. He told me he was a franchise and did not have to honor it. I paid the full price, but explained that a manufacturer coupon is suppose to be honored anywhere. I would like a refund for the $5.00.

Horrible customer service, I ordered the strawberry cheesecake ice cream, it tasted old and like freezer burns/ it was icy and just terrible. Manager refused to acknowledge my complaint. His words were too bad you payed, no exchanges or refunds. For years I've been shopping at Carvels all over the city. Customer service is completely out at this location,

at approximately 10:50 am on sept 28 2017 an employee let me into the establishment because he open up at 11am another employee saw me sitting waiting to place an order for retirement cakes and he literally kicked me out of the establishment telling me had to clean up and i'm stopping him from doing his job now first and foremost when night shift is closing it should be cleaned for the next shift to start my next problem is the customer service really sucks because a manager kicked me out the store telling me he have to clean up very so not professional at all the workers told me to go sit some place else what type of workers you have here if i had another location to go i would i would not do business here they are very rude to guest. I'm now let in the building and still the employee here is rude on the website it states they ooen at 11am i clearly screen shot the picture my contact number is [protected]

I was at the carvel location 116-10 liberty avenue on Saturday afternoon 9/16/2017 around 4pm I attempted to pay by card but the cashier was having technical problems with the machine so I decided to pay cash now but on Monday I saw my bank post the transaction from carvel to my statement when I went back to carvel to clarify the issue the owner or manager was rude and start accusing me saying customers are never right and how I have no proof that I paid twice for my items I do not like the way the situation was handled and I want to be compensated for this issue

I walked in around 7:15 pm and handed the girl that was on the cashier a coupon for buy one, get one free. She asked me what size and I told her both medium with a lot of vanilla ice cream and just caramel on top (No whipped cream and cherry). Then the girl at the counter said how much it was and it was $6.07. I kept looking up at the board to see if I wanted anything else and she repeated $6.07 in a rude matter. I then replied and I said i'm seeing if I want anything else, if that's alright. So I said that I wanted cake mix, she never asked me what size I wanted it in and gave me a small. When I finished my transaction it was $10.37. I paid and as I was putting my money away, both girls went on their phones which is highly disrespectful when a customer is about to leave... It makes us think that were not important asked if I get a receipt and she said no you don't, but we can write one out for you, which I replied and said yes please. Then as i'm leaving, they are yet again on their phones. When I get into my car, I had to make sure everything was set with the money and one of the girls thought that I took a picture of them. Are you that naïve to think that I would do that? Your wrong girls. Please respect customers when coming and leaving your work place. I always come here when different girls work and they know my order without me telling them and they work fantastic with good work ethic. Please retrain or speak to both gina and brianna.
