Never use any services from Cargo-Delivery (http://www.cargo-delivery.uk.tt/). This company is supposed to protect the buyer and seller through internet transactions. I had replied to an internet ad to rent an apartment in the Toronto area. The "seller" claims that he had to move to Cambridge, UK for business for 4 - 6 years. We exchanged several e-mails and he had suggested using this Cargo-Delivery company to do the transaction. The "seller" is to give the Cargo-delivery the contract and keys to the apartment. Once the package is inspected the "buyer" is sent an e-mail to send the mony through money gram. The purpose of the company is to hold the money until the contract and keys are delivered to the buyer. Once everything is inspected by the buyer and checks out the money is then forwarded on to the "seller" to complete the transaction. The website looks legit, but it's not, please don;t be fooled like I was. After sending $810 CAD, I received an e-mail asking for more money. I spoke with the management office for the building we were to be renting and found that the person I was communicating with didn't live there at all. This is a big fraud scam, please don't fall for it.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Have similar case with property in Ottawa. Same e-mails, same scheme - almost bougt into this. This is the first e-mail I got:

You know its a fraud when they're willing to give you the keys to the condo without a credit check and job/reference letters. Plus, there is no phone number to contact.

Be cautioned, this person is a con and so is their website: www.spedition-services.uk.tt . DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. If the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I am from Cargo Overseas Limited and we were quickly alerted to this fake website. I can categorically confirm that Cargo Shipping is in no way associated with Cargo Overseas and that we are a bona fide freight forwarding company based in Manchester and in various cities overseas. The company registered details shown on the website are in fact ours but the e-mail address and western union style payment scheme they are using would never be used by ourselves.
We have tried to have this site taken down and it is down at the moment but it has been cat and mouse to keep this site down. The domain name being used ending in .tt is based in Trinidad and Tobago and if you wish to raise this with the registrar and complain his details are admin@nic.tt His name is Patrick and the more people that complain and advise him of the problem the more likely he will be to remove these domain names from those he has sold them to.
If the domain names were of a type which indicated this was being hosted on free webspace it would be more easily spotted as a fraud.
I cannot help with accomodation but if you do need goods moving we would be happy to help.

She later sent me the link to (http://www.cargo-delivery.uk.tt/). My web browser kept saying "error" . I continued to do more searching for the cargo company and it lead me to this website. I too felt that this ad which was on CRAIGS LIST was too good to be true.
I just received the first email... This was to good to be true so I copy a few sentences of my first email and found out the same exact mail in your complain...
I don't know about the cargo company but for sure, the email is an scam... It something is to good to be true it's probably not

The person's inability to provide access to view the apartment and the convoluted process to do a contract and payment (not to mention that the rental rate was probably 50% off what the market would bare) turned those bothersome whispers into ringing alarm bells. A Google search on the terms "apartment rental scams cargo shipping UK" brought me to this site. The fact that I was reading messages from others that provided emails from this scammer/fraud artist with the exact same words was shocking but also a relief. At least I wouldn't be a victim to this scam. I will be notifying www.hometraders.ca of the use of their site by fraudulent operatives.

Me and my partner we've just closed our transaction with Cargo-Delivery.It was a little bit different because we didn't rent a flat in states but we've bought tv through the internet.Well...almost.
First thing what maked us think whos the time: seller have put the tele in the castody of Cargo Team on 25th and expected day of delivery at our address whos 27th.We went to transfer money through the Wester Union and we've been informed that there is a lots of fraud this way.So we sent the e-mail to the seller if we can pay in other way like cheque, transfer on his account or by credit card(they have fraud protection).The answer was very quick :
"please go and trust and to send after your name on your wife or mother's name and address of the agent and when you get a item is ok to change name
let me know"
We didn't had clue what he's on about so we sent another e-mail:
"Sorry but I didn't undrstand a word of it!
Why cant you accept other tape of payment?"
He reply that we can pay by MoneyGram.We went to serch on internet how safe that is and we decided that we want to pay cash in a hand.

Next e-mail contain only mobile number.When we phoned like we thought Cargo Team we've been told that this is the agent number.
Rest of the transaction with them was just a lot of bull s***.We've been given wrong info all the time so...
We called all off with a little word of advise : better hide coz we gonna call legal authorities.

I live in Edmonton and I believe that I am currently involved in this exact same type of transaction. It seemed to me that the ad for such a great condo, was a little to good to be true. I did not send the $$ because when something seems too good to be true...it probably is. I started looking for the loopholes and looked around the internet, when I came across this site. There is a guy trying to pull off the same scam in Vancouver, BC, claiming to be the owner of an apt on Burrard St and spinning the same story: had to move to Cambridge for up to 4yrs, directing me to Cargo-Delivery LTD, etc.. The grammatical errors on this UK website immediately led me to think it was a scam, not to mention the guy's fishy email. Thank you to this complaints board and those who wrote in, I now have confirmation and will not waste any more time on this pathetic fraudster. (We found the ad on Kijiji, with last name Lombardo.)
