Cardi's Furniture sofa sectional

I Purchased a sectional On February 14, 2019. I was concerned about fabric I wanted something that will hold up. After choosing one, which I liked I was convinced by the sales staff it wouldn't fray... I was told because it was woven so tightly it wouldn't Fray... I believed them... I made It clear this was a concern of mine. This was a Special order.. The piece was Delivered in five weeks which was great! Loved it when I saw it... 4 weeks later I noticed it was fraying! Getting worse every week. I called Cardis customer service. They sent out a tech person. He took pictures and agreed it shouldn't look like that after such a short time. It wasn't only the cushions where We sit it was also the back where our heads would be. The tech came back a second time At my request. Customer service denied the report he gave. The second time he came back I recorded it. This time there will be no denying or misunderstanding. The tech that came told me the customer service manager Joanne said that was normal wear? This doesn't look like a new sectional.

Cardi's Furniture adjustable base for bedding

I have bought all my furniture at Cardi's starting back in 2009-2010. I have been very happy with the items and service till now.in Jan. of this year I was looking for a new mattress and base. I looked at some in Cardi's and even went to Jordan's. Both stores had what I was looking for, but I went with Cardi's because of good service in the past. On Feb 7, 2019 I went in to Cardi's in Fall River Ma and purchased the top of the line adj. base (999.99), mattress (1,379.99), mattress pad, 2 sheet sets, and mattress prot. plan. all this for $2,628.72.
when the adj. base was delivered it was shrink wrapped (not in a box first red flag) it had the legs already on it (normally put on in the home.. not at the warehouse.. second red flag). After the right legs and mattress were put on the base it rocked, (meaning the floor was not level and had to be shimmed). I told the delivery men I would take care of it. When I took the mattress off the adj base to put the shims on it, I noticed the adj base was stained, (stains not from the movers.. it was shrink wrapped). I took pictures of them, seven that you can see plane as day and some not so plane. I then went immediately went to Cardi's to talk to the sales man that sold me every thing, I showed him the photos, he called customer service, come to find out the adj. base sent to me was picked from (the cage as they call it) (the clearance section) The sales man was great, he got to the bottom of it and a new one is on its way. He also gave me another set of sheets $50.
The thing that really get me is if I did not have to shim the base I would have been paying for a NEW base when I had a stained clearance one and would not have noticed it for years, and on top of that all I got was a $ 50 set of sheets. I spent $ 2,600.00 and for all this I got $50 sheets.
After thinking about all this I called customer service. I thought that I should get compensated for this mix up (that if I had not noticed, I would have been stuck with) I was told by CS that I was compensated (because they are sending me out a new one) DAA... so let me get this straight you sent me an adj base that was shrink wrapped (not in a box) had legs on it (not put on in the home) had stains on it (stains not from shipping or handling) and your compensation is to send me a new one (which is what I bought originally). Does this sound crazy to only me?
Nick, Ron, and Pete I see you all the time on tv talking about your mom, how would you like it if this happened to your mom. I don't think you would happy. I also don't think you would settle for just a $ 50 set of sheets. Plus is it right for your CS to say you are being compensated buy us sending you what you paid for?

Cardi's Furniture Sectional

I bought a sectional 2 years ago and it looks 10 years old, it pills and the arm caved in the repair man said it was made with CARDBOARD I sent it for repair was without my sofa for a week when they said only 2 days it just came back and it was never fixed! I'm very disappointed and will never buy furniture from cardis again! They said it was fixed but was not and while on hold with customer service I got disconnected. Called back and was put on hold . The only way to make this better is give me a new sectional. Now I'm waiting for the other cardboard arm to cave in. Who sells furniture made of cardboard?

Cardi's Furniture faulty recliner, terrible customer service.

I was told by joanne from customer service, (attleboro store) that we would get credit for our recliner, that was peeling and rubbing off and we could use a store credit for another recliner. she said that we could have the chair picked up when they drop off the new chair we would purchase. well, we found one in your clearance section, paid the difference of $157, and were told to go to pickup press the button and someone would get the chair for us. we drive around the building and the gentlemen told us that he can't give us the chair until we return the damaged one. now, we drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to the store, and they're telling us that we have to pay a delivery fee to pickup the chair (or bring it in ourselves) before we can take our purchase home! now I know for a fact that your trucks are in the falmouth area on certain days, why couldn't they just pick it up when they are in the area? haven't we been inconvenienced enough? so, we have to drive back (another 1 hour 45 minutes) to the store to drop off the chair before we can take the new one. is this how you treat your customers? after arguing with jen from customer service, I decided to say that we will pay the pickup fee right now so we can take our chair home instead of making yet another trip there. she said we still couldn't take the chair until the other one was returned. ridiculous! iwill never shop at a cardi's again. I also am spreading the word about your shabby treatment to our cape cod hog club, the chamber of commerce, yelp, and the corporate office. you should be ashamed.

Cardi's Furniture couch and loveseat

I am having problems since I bought couch. I had family person sit on one end of couch and leg on couch folded in half and the person fell to floor. They sent someone out to put all new legs in the whole couch as the first ones were not even screwed in. Then I called to have some spots cleaned out of my Sunbrella material because they did not wash out as the material is advertised will clean if you spill anything on it. Uniters refused to send someone out because it happened more than 2 days out so Cardis customer service sent a cleaning company out and they bleached out the material with their product. Now my seat back of couch is broken. The seat back of couch board broke and under warranty I paid over 200.00 for Uniters insurance. They sent out cleaning company to get stains out and they bleached out material and when I got it professionally steam cleaned the spots they bleached out show up with white now badly. Now complaining they ruined my couch and love seat. Next I called for two reasons not one because the couch back board has broken and creeks badly and the stains they took out which bleached out the cushions can not be fixed and they just continue with sending out someone from vendors that work with Uniters ins. They want to send out someone again regarding this and I already met with their vendor. So upset with Cardis service department who can not get the correct report made on 7/11/17 Dura Clean report. Uniters who lied about the report I signed, stating that it was fixed on visit of Dura Clean. Not true. They are now refusing to help unless I have another visit by Uniters Ins. Vendor Dura Clean. They can not come out until 8/1/17. Feel they are trying to run out our warranty time and not help with faulty product and stating that they want to replace cushions with material for spots made and we all know that material will never match the other cushions as it will not be coming from the same bolt of material.
They should be responsible as their vendor used a product on my couch and love seat that bleached it out. How many visits do I have to have. Wasting my time waiting for them to show up. They give a 3 hour window.
How much can one explain I will never buy at Cardis again. I am a senior and this was supposed to be my last couch.

Cardi's Furniture rocking chair

On 6/20/17 I purchased a wooden rocking chair as a gift. When the box was opened, we noticed tiny holes in the arms and back that were mirrored on the other side. They were so perfectly placed, that it looked like some sort of clamps had been placed on the chair.

After calling customer service I was told to take photos and contact customer service again via e-mail. I did. I was then told the holes and were "wood holes are characteristics of the wood. The floor model will have the same characteristics. ." I did not agree. "Wood holes" that occur naturally in the wood are not symmetric.

I was then told: "The factory made the pieces that way. The holes are sometimes called worm holes and appear in everything from dining room sets to bedroom sets depending on the manufacturer. I will have your salesperson reach out to you so they can discuss the characteristics of the piece with you." A better explanation, but still not satisfactory since the fake distressing really stands out and is the first thing you notice on the chair.

I did go into the showroom to see the chair on display. (My salesperson was not there at the time.) Similar hole placement on that chair, but it was near the edges and no where near as noticeable. My salesperson never "reached out to me" (how long should I wait?) and I tried e-mailing customer service again but was never contacted again.

For $700+, I expect to be happy with my purchase, not frustrated. And especially not ignored. I love the style of the chair but would like one that doesn't look like someone stamped it with a nail jig and made no attempt to make it look distressed. I have attached the photos that I sent to customer service and a copy of the invoice. Here is the e-mail chain:

I just wanted to let you know that I did go into the showroom to look at the display chair right after I contacted you. The marks are in the same exact place on that chair but are MUCH less noticeable. I understand the "fake" distressing but the symmetry and placement make this look like a defect. The holes are too noticeable. Our salesperson was not there at the time and still has not contacted me as you said she would. I really would like to swap the chair for one with less noticeable marks as I am not satisfied with the appearance of this one, especially for the price that I paid.

Cardi's Furniture cardi's not crediting my discover card account after returning furniture.

I purchased a cherry finish dining room set on May 11, 2017 in South Attleboro Ma. and picked it up on May 13, 2017 late afternoon at their Swansea Ma. location.(Mothers day gift) After bringing it home and opened one box with two chairs we realized that it did not match our other furnishings. Our other furnishing were a much darker cherry finish. I called the sales manager at the South Attleboro store within two hours of pickup and explained the situation. He told me to return it the next day and that there would be no problem. I could pick something else out or just get a full refund under his authorization. The next day (Mothers Day) I returned everything at the Swansea location and then went to their service desk near the sales department for the refund. They gave me a return authorization (CRM) receipt and said that my Discover card would get refunded. After two weeks it did not get refunded. I called Discover card regarding this and then called Cardi's. They said that they had held off from returning my money in case that I wanted to purchase something else. I had told them that I just wanted to get the money refunded. They agreed to this but it never happened. I complained to Discover Card and started a dispute. I don't know what information was provided but my card is charging me again for something that was returned. I just forwarded my receipts to Discover card as proof. I plan on calling the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney Generals office. If they are doing this with me they must be doing it with other customers. I will also try to get the IRS to check their sales to inventories and purchases because they must be cooking the books. I am also sure that the Attorney Generals office can request to see their surveillance camera recordings and see me returning the furniture at the shipping area in swansea unless it gets edited. I used to be a happy Cardi's customer but after getting burned like this I feel very bitter and betrayed. I will be passing on my experience to others and do not recommend Cardi's to anyone. Here I am on June 26, 2017 with no refund for the furniture that I returned. This is criminal.

Cardi's Furniture iworker n store

I went to a Cardi Mattress store in Westerly RI. The worker in the store was extremely rude to two customers he had at the desk # to the person on the phone and to me. I've been to this Cardi store in the past and it was always welcoming and the employees nice and helpful. This man was all but. Was very unwilling to help. I cannot express how rude and nasty he was. I don't usually complain about stuff like this but I was just flabbergasted by this man.

Cardi's Furniture delivery customer service

I had a delivery scheduled in an 830 to 1130 window for a mattress . I work midnight to eight so I called them in the morning and they told me I was the first delivery so instead of going to sleep I stayed awake . They arrived delivered the mattress and left at 8:55 . I noticed that it was the wrong mattress as I saw them pulling out of the driveway I've been called customer service and spoke to a female agent within two minutes and she told me they were already at the next stop . I Asked her how long it would take them to get back because I work midnight to eight and I was planning to go to sleep. She told me they would be back within a half hour . An hour later I called her back she told me that she would get an ETA on the truck to return and call me back . I waited another half hour before I called the corporate administrative offices and told him of my issue I asked free delivery manager the operator stated she would bring it to the delivery manager my message personally and they would call me . 20 minutes later the same customer service girl who I spoke to twice previously told me they'd be there within 20 to 25 minutes. I asked her why didn't the manager called me she replied a manager is not needed and ansarcastic tone. She obviously didn't want her manager to know that she's not very good at customer service by telling a customer that they'll be there in a half hour and it's really two hours because when the truck actually showed up the driver told me that they had a very large delivery at that stop it was almost the whole truck . The reason why I told her that I work midnight to eight and I was planning to sleep was because if it was going to be two hours for them to return I would've going to sleep and not wait up for the half hour for them to come back which was really two hours and 10 minutes . I called back the administrative offices because I did not receive a call from the service manager and requested to speak to Nick Rhonda repeat the owner of Cartys I end up leaving a message which was not replied to . Cardi's customer service absolutely failed at their job . The two delivery gentlemen were very apologetic for the mistake that they made and I don't blame them at all. I was more upset of the fact of the customer service representative lied to me instead of telling me it would be a while like two hours because then I would've went to bed.

I bought a King size mattress from the Cardi's in West Warwick. The delivery truck showed up and pulled in front of the house on the main road. The two delivery drivers opened the back door of the truck and literally threw the mattress of the back of the truck onto the pavement! I asked the driver why he threw the mattress off the truck? He said we have no electric tailgates or hand dollies. I then found out they do not work for Cardi's Furniture. Cardi's subcontracts the delivery portion of their business. The drivers have no electric liftgates, no hand trucks or dollies, no sick days, no retirement plan and unaffordable health benefits! This is how Cardi's lets the subcontractor treat its employees! I told them to join a union!

Cardi's Furniture driver hit my wall

odrovene of your drivers went to 136 lewiston st to deliver" they drove into my wall in frnt of my house and did some damage? they tried to drive away but my neighbor came out cause she seen it happen so they didnt get to far"anyway i went out there and they told me to contact you and we did the person told me manager it was and said they would sent somebody up to fix it? i been waiting patientlly for about 9months and javent heard anything yet?and im not happy about it either" but spring is coming and i would like my wall fived at 135 lewiston st. warwick ri 02889 asap thank you catherine mitchell please respond to us on cumputer or call [protected] asap? so i will know if i should call my insurance com/ or go through cardies

Cardi's Furniture defective tables

Purchased cocktail, end and sofa table for 888$ at cardis, total came to 932.40. Along with a brand new couch, 3 piece sectional on november 1 2008. It has not even been two years, and my couch is losing its structure. Sinks in and creeks. Feet which are wood have chipped. I have only moved once, and there was no hard handling at all. The tables were sent to me defective. I never noticed or cared to complain about it, since at the time I was not using them... For at least a year. They were stored at my apartment, but I was living else where. The apartment was vacant. When I moved out of my boyfriends and moved into my new apartment, nov 15 2009, I became really annoyed with the way the tops of the tables were loose. These are glass tables that have a silver base. The bottom of the base is where the tables are defectives. I finally found some time and called cardis on august 17 since I knew I had the extended warranty which I paid 185$ for. I figured I would call have a couch cleaning as well as have a tech come out to repair the tables. The tech came out on august 28th (7 days after I called), did whatever he did to "fix" them, and when he left, not even an hour later, they were loose again. Also, no call from the cleaning company to schedule an appt. Which was brought up the second time I called to have the tech come out again to fix the tables on sept 13. They arrived on sept 22nd (8 days later). That tech was much more friendly and more talkative as to explaining the problem. The tables were not put together correctly and washers were not installed in the table, causing the screws to loosen up. I have been contacting cardis since then regarding my furniture. I spent over 2 grand at the age of 22, so I spent alot of my saved money up for my first set of furniture and expected that buying it at cardis, I would have quality furniture and it would last for years. I have noc ochildren and no pets, and knew that my furniture would be taken care of since there is not alot of wear. Finally got to a customer service manager, joanne and her resolution was to give me an in store credit. Mind you, the tables that I purchased two years ago, are no longer available. Hmmm I wonder why? I have been to cardis the past two weeks, twice now, and I have found the majority of couches, and tables to be the exact same from two years ago. Poor quality and complaints on the same item, they shouldnt keep selling it, in my opionion. I have an in store credit of 943.50 for furniture and taxes. Honestly, I have been shopping two days at three different cardis, and have found absolutly nothing of good qaulity. I finally settled on a three peice glassware set, that only comes to about 650 with taxes. But they are stating that they will not refund me cash. Everything is so expensive there, and of not good sturdy quality, I dont want to waste any more time looking, and having to deal with more defects of future furniture. If I known that this would have been a hassle, I would have gone to bobs, or somewhere else much closer to me. I have missed two days from work for the techs to come out, and taking time out of my schedule to go look at furniture im not satisfied with... Which is 45 mins away from my house. I am looking for a full refund for the merchandise, so I can be satisfied at another furniture store.

2.89 percent commission for delivery contractors pay for the last 20 years. After deductions and fuel plus employees pay I make 300-400 max a week for 7 days. I barely see my family and can hardly afford to feed them. I'm treated like dirt and threatened with my job daily. Too afraid to leave in this economy and nirope is exploiting that harshly. And this is the same for all 20 something contractors there what is that. This place needs a reality check and an organized walk out is in there future

Cardi's Furniture rip offff

I alsooooo went through trs through cardis for furniture and for one the 2000 couch set is all broken and looks like ive had it for 7 years and on top of it they wanted 300 a month for a million months whenit was supposed to be a 90 day same as cash plan...Yea right! Dont buyyyyyy at cardis trs whoever the couch is junk 2200 later

I cannot believe Cardi's charge me $212 to deliver a couch. Gas prices have gone way down and they are still taking advantage of the New England customers. Shame on you Cardi's I will not ever shop here again or refer anybody there.

We have been having horrible issues with TRS as well. We purchased a couch through them in March of 09. The couch was horrible. The material started ripping and I called to put an insurance claim (we purchased the insurance for an additional $200) they claimed oh the material for the couch isn't made anymore. It came down to our last few payments and I wanted a statement showing what we owe. They have not sent it to me so I refuse to pay, because I dont' feel I owe anymore. Long story short they are leaving harassing messages on our loved ones and our machines. I have filled out a complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney's General's Office against them and sent the recordings in for proof. The couch is already in a dumpster.

By means of refund, in store credit ONLY! What so i can have the same problem I did with the first set of tables. I spent almost 3k 2 years ago on a 3 pc sectional, and 3 tables for my living room set. EVERY PIECE is destroyed. They will reiterate time and time again about how their customer service is excellent, but they do NOT listen to the customers real complaint, and basically say that the customer is WRONG. Ive been in this business for well over 10 years, and that IS NOT how you treat your customers. Their instore credit, is only becuase they can use it as a write off at the end of the year.
GOOD LUCK buying furniture somewhere else, i HIGHLY recommend going any place else than Cardis, I have better furniture from IKEA than Cardis.

Ive had the same problem with Cardis...HUGE ordeal on defective furniture. They will only refund my tables, but becuase they have such cheap furniture and poor quality, i didnt want to waste their time or my time. ive been to two different places already, each of them twice in the last 2 months...NOTHING in there is good...hollow wood tables, thin thin glass tables. JUNK!
