Captain D's customer service

As soon as I ordered my food I was instantly pulled up from the drive-thru window. I had to wait about 10 mins to receive my food. I was not told the wait would be that long. Also there were no cars behind me in the line either. So I do not understand why I was pulled up to begin with. They were not busy at all and someone should tell you the wait time before making customers pull away from the window.

Captain D's food and the worker

When I got to captain d's it took bout 30 min total to get our food when we got to the window she was steeling trying to figure out exactly what we wanted and even had one drink wrong we asked if they still had pickles as a condiment and she was very rude about it well once we got the food the crab cakes was not done the fish was not done nor was the shrimp and the fries was hard and no salt at all was on any of the food it's awful well we also ordered lobster rolls to get them back and the lobster was not even in the bun this restaurant needs major help

Captain D's the service.

I pulled into the parking lot at 7:12, I left the parking lot at 7:48. 23 minute wait before I even places my order, & the rest of that time spent at the window waiting for my food. The "battered fish" wasn't battered, & looked like fish strips. The hushpuppies were squishy and dropped grease. The fish had been cooked hrs before. I can tell because I've worked in the food business for 20+ yrs, and the ends were discolored & looked & felt like hard rubber. Side & hushpuppies missing from deluxe seafood order. Girls inside were eating, with their fingers handling my food without washing their hands. This was the most awful experience I've ever had with a drive thru, and $35.00 went into the garbage can. Very disappointing.

Captain D's service complaint

12/19/19

Arrived at Captain D's and parking lot was empty, I was wondering why when all the restaurants around was full but continued inside anyways. Inside the only customer was one of the workers boyfriend or spouse sitting at the table and in between ordering my food and waiting on it to come out she would approach the man and was all over him in front of us.
Ordered dinner for me and fiance, asked for slaw when Manager came out to bring sauce and he said he had subtituted slaw for fries (when I didnt ask for fries to begin with because my dinner came with bake potato), mgr then ask for me to put the fries on a napkin and he would bring back the slaw. I was in shock that he would even ask for me to put the fries on a napkin but the atmosphere there explained why and I should have just requested my money back then and left but didn't. Unprofessional treatment to me from the start and now I see why the parking lot was empty, I will never go to this restaurant again because the mgr didnt treat us with respect and the food was not good at all. We ate a few bites and left, could not stand watching the employee hang all over the guy and the manager approved because he actually came out and sat with them also. Took a pick of all three. I would like a refund because of the terrible experience I had there. Please for the company get a better manager to run the place.

Captain D's debit card payment

When I submitted my card for payment the cashier seem to hold it longer than necessary and they were blocking my view to the register I moved forward after they finally gave my card back and saw The cashier fiddling with his phone he didn't take it out of his pocket so it must have been on the counter all the time this made me think that it was possible that he took a picture of my card I asked to speak to the manager on duty and he said that was how they stand at the register and that he wasn't trying to steal anything from me I don't know if that's true I'll have to check with my bank constantly to make sure there should be some sort of policy in place to prohibit cashiers from having access to peoples credit card numbers hopefully there will be no transactions applied to my card but if so I will take legal action thank you my name is Rosa Del Gato my phone number is [protected] my email address My email address [protected]@icloud.com thank you

Captain D's 1 15 piece butterfly shrimp dinner & 1 white fish dinner

I went through the Drive thru approximately at 9:15pm. The customer service was good, but my food was mediocre. The fries were lukewarm and hard, and there were only about 10. I only received a table spoon of coleslaw which I was able to get about 3 bites. The fish was good, but the shrimp was mediocre as well. I would like to receive coupons to replace the dinners.

I love Captain Ds, but the quality of the food is lacking. I am attaching my receipt, which will give you the information of the location I visited.

This is the receipt for my order. I already filed a complaint under my name, but forgot to attach this. I hope this matter will be looked into and resolved in a timely manner. Also, my son's mac n cheese was terrible. If you need to reach me contact me at the above number listed.

Captain D's number of issues.

Upon entering location-No greeting-No smile-Order taker asks whadda want?
Smelled of cigarette smoke.
No hair net-no gloves-hair all over her face (This was the person who filled the order)
Tried to order 2 Captain's platters-had no crab cakes-offered no subs or replacement
Ordered two sweet teas-Very, very watered down-made clerk aware but no offer to switch beverages.
While waiting for order at least 3 different employees were outside smoking. One girl sitting on curb smoking.
This was order #0076 at 14:47
I am a Rewards Club Member #031602 and will never visit this location again! I do like Captain Ds, especially the Franklin, NC location.
ps-The tea was so bad that we stopped at Macdonalds for some decent tea.

Captain D's the cook

Captain D's area director has been contacted waiting on reply...

Today, the COOK got the original order wrong, no problem they fixed it.

the cashier gave me free cole slaw cause it took so long to correct the first order..

I brought the cole slaw back immediately it was HOT not warm not cool not cold but HOT.

No problem they gave me another immediately brought it back, no mayo or sauce just cry cabbage very little carrots.

THAN ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!

the cook SHOUTED at top of her lungs, YOUR a trouble maker! she shamed accused and humiliated ME in front of the ENTIRE STORE of customers

She said calll the (bleep) area manager WE know who you are! your not getting anymore (bleep) cole slaw! you can have something else and she left the building

THEN she came back when I ask the cashier, "she isn't going to correct the problem is she?"

the COOK started screaming again "Get your things and get out!"

I am going to write the customer service office on Elm Hill Pike and even go there IF i don'e get a written apology!

No one should have to endure that kind of treat ment and hate esp when its her JOB to get it right!

Captain D's unsanitary actions.

My name is Jackie Wms. I was a customer at your above location today around 5:30 p.m. Upon walking in the restaurant, I noticed a young lady with an infant baby, sitting in a car seat on the end counter where you would normally pick up your food. Immediately thinking that she along with the employees should know that was not sanitary.

A B/F employee, wearing a black shirt, took my order, while the young lady and her baby, along with her diaper bag was still in place. Then I realized that the employee was familiar with the young lady. After taking my order, the employee stepped to the side to play with the baby.

Then there were 5 guys who came in the restaurant together and placed their orders to the same employee. Once that order was placed, a W/F employee with a gray shirt took over the register. And now again, I notice that she was familiar with the young lady as well. There were 3 more customers that came after the 5 men.

After waiting for a while for my order, the five men who came after me, each, received their orders before me. Which I thought was odd because I didn't get a full meal, only 2 a la carts. Some of them got fried meals with sides. But what really upset me is not only is the young lady, her baby and the diaper bag still in the same spot, but when my order was given to me by the W/F employee, it was given to me outside of the counter area, on the side of them. She was never asked, as she should have, to remove the baby and her items off of the counter. In my opinion, that was very unsanitary and very disrespectful to the customers that came after her.

I arrived at 5:29 p.m. Initially, there wasn't anyone at the register. A few minutes later the B/F employee stepped from the drive-thru window and stated she would be with me in a minute. The other employee may have been on a break. According to my receipt #364750I, I placed my order at 5:33 p.m. And it was 5:47 p.m. when I got in my car.

Captain D's bad food/customer service

The employees were very rude. They acted as if they were irritated bc I asked them to do my gift card I just spent money on manually. They made me pay using my cash. So I spent a total of 35 dollars trying to eat at captain D'S.. they did not make me feel welcomed. I waited over 20 mins. They didn't give me forks. My shrimp was not cooked fully. I'm sorry. I usually don't complain like this but this is unacceptable

Captain D's food and service

I visited this location 10/30/19 @ 12:15-12:20 pm. Order # 17, guest # 37. I used the drive thru and was helped by a woman named Deonne. She was polite while taking my order. I stated I wanted the fish fry sampler, but I didn;'t see it on the board like it was the previous week. I described what was in the sampler and that it was $6.49. She wasn't sure at 1st, then she put it on the screen. I also ordered another entree. When I arrived at the window to pay, again she was polite. I sat at the window for 15-20 min waiting for my food. I knocked on the window 3 times and each time, I got an index finger up by her and another employee indicating "wait a minute". The 2 of them were helping people at the counter and there were 2 other people behind me in the drive thru, but noone ahead of me. When she brought my food, the fries were cold and my order was not correct. I was missing a hush puppy and 3 pieces of fried fish (2 pcs of chicken was in its place. The fish fry sampler has 3 pcs. fried fish, 3 shrimp and 1 piece of battered fish with 2 sides. The sampler has the chicken strips instead of the 3 pcs of fried fish. I told her that and she went to speak with the cooks. I again knocked on the window and asked if they were short staffed and she stated there was only 4 people on. I asked if I should come inside. She stated it would be better because they were so busy. Once inside, I waited in line for the correction and was again given the sampler with chicken strips instead of the fish fry sampler and my other entree remade with another missing hush puppy. I stated it was still wrong and that I wanted to speak with a manager. Apparently she was a manager and one of the cooks was a manager as well. She went to the cooks area and I could here her speaking to the other manager in frustration. I was already frustrated at this point. I here her giving inaccurate info to the other manager and asked that he come out to speak to me. As I'm trying to explain the situation, he said I was talking to him "like he was slow". I told the woman (Deonne) that I didn't want the chicken, I just wanted fish. The male manager/cook stated he couldn't give me the fish because it was more. I was trying to explain that if I was told the fish fry was no longer available, I would have ordered something else. My receipt says fs fry sampler though. I also told him I waited 20 min for my order and he stated I didn't. He became frustrated and was rude in asking what do you want to do. I ordered 2 pcs of battered fish and asked for the corporate number. He stated he didn't know it and I should look it up. As hard as it is for people get jobs, I would never want anyone to get fired. However, this SHOULD be addressed. I was made to feel as if it was my fault. I know what I ordered and it's unacceptable. I could have easily ordered something different. Had it not been food for my mother, I would have asked for my refund and left. I ended up paying more for my order than what I could have had I ordered it as an entree instead of a la carte. Extremely FRUSTRATING!

Captain D's senior discount

On Sunday October 13th I went into the Crestview Captain D's to buy my 84yr old mother lunch. My mother is on hospice and is unable to leave home so I asked if I could take picture of the senior menu. I took a picture and texted it to her and she texted me back what she wanted. When I ordered, they told me I could not get her senior discount since she wasn't with me. I explained her terminal illness and how my sister gets her food every week at the same Captain d's and it has never been a problem. They reiterated that the manager told them they couldn't do it anymore. I asked to speak with him and explained that if you claim to be a senior friendly restaurant then you need to realize that all seniors can't get out of there homes and have loved ones pick up their meals for them. He was very polite and said if my mom comes with me through the drive thru she could have the discount. Really? She has a terminal illness and is on hospice and you think she can come through the drive thru? I mean wow, just wow. The senior discounts are only offered on Sundays and Wednesdays anyway. I mean is theft by deception of using a senior discount a big problem at your restaurants? If y'all are going broke by giving out senior discounts then captain d's is on the way out. I can walk in to any chick-fil-a or McDonald's and ask for a kid's meal without a kid and no one gives it a second thought. Please correct this, either truly offer a discount for ALL Seniors..even the ones who can't make it in to the restaurant. (If people faking is THAT big of an issue then I would gladly get my Mom's doctor to fill out a form so you can keep it on file) It makes my mom happy to save a little money. It makes a lot of seniors happy because they are on fixed incomes.

Captain D's manager very rude to employee

I called in an order to the Gardendale location. I spoke with a young lady named Robin. She was so nice & professional. After I placed my order & she told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. Then, the manager interrupted her, & was VERY rude & unprofessional. She stated that they could not take any call in orders, for the first two weeks.
She said I would have to come place my order in person.
I have no problem going to the restaurant, to place my order. I however do have a problem with the unproffessionalism, that was displayed by the lady, who is supposed to be running the store. I felt so bad for the girl that answered my call.
It is a shame that a restaurant, that is so popular in our community, has a team of caring, well mannered employees, has to work under someone like that. I imagine you would have an exceptional rating in this location, if the management were a little less rude. Maybe she should pay more attention to the attitude displayed by her employee, & follow their lead.

Captain D's store was closed at 9:20 when they advertise to be closed at 10

my daughter was refused service at the Captain D's on Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston South Carolina at 9:20 in the evening the store is advertised to close at 10 p.m. I called ask the lady if they were open she told me yes and then I asked her why they refuse service to my daughter and she said because they're actually closed because she does not have anyone to help make the food. She was very rude I asked for the corporate phone number she put me on hold for 18 minutes until I hung up. This place really sucks the service is the pits and I don't think that anyone can get any more rude than the manager that answered the phone. I will be giving a rating about the store if there was a zero that's what I would rate them but I will be writing them a one because they suck!?

Captain D's customer service

10-9-19 I was dining in and the cashier, Charlene Williams, was very rude. I ordered the grilled tilapia meal. When she asked me what 2 sides I wanted I first said side salad and she abruptly stated very loudly "nope mmm hmmm we don't have salads". So I asked her why and stated "because they haven't been unloaded from the truck". I did continue my order.

Captain D's chicken meal

I ordered a 4 piece chicken dinner with slaw french fries. I had it delivered to my home and when I received my chicken was so hard and dry it was a non-edible I only got about eight french fries, I took my hush puppies look like somebody had taken a bite out of them. I called the store spoke to the manager and his attitude was horrible he didn't act like you cared never apologized. If I was manager of a restaurant and somebody called me and complained and said that my food look like it's been eaten I believe I can do more than just say we'll come by anytime and tell them you talked to me and get you another meal. I don't want another male I'll never eat there again I want my money back with my delivery charge and tip this four piece chicken dinner was $22 and it wasn't worth $2 if this is the kind of businesses you allowed to operate I'm surprised you still have any stores open

Captain D's my manager

The manager at the captain Ds i work at on sharon amity Rd is very unprofessional, my manager lets her 3 year old granddaughter walk around the kitchen when food is out and prepared and lets her around the cash registers. My manager also has a former employee written on the schedule just so she can keep her from getting unemployment. My Manager talks to employees about other employees, shes making it a hostile work environment for me to work in

Captain D's appearance and service

Decided to try again after about a 7 month break from my last experience. Should have suspected something when I went in, the lady in the drive thru was getting a refund. Waited almost 25 minutes and asked where our food was, was told "I don't know" and "do you want a refund?" There were 3 people behind us also getting refunds. I know they were short handed, but manager needs to get it under control. This place needs updating and lots of cleaning. You really need to visit your stores. I feel a call to the health department might be a good idea.

Captain D's employees

Just left the Caption Ds in Porter Texas. We ordered our food got our condiments and sat down. The girl delivers our food to the guests that were after us. The lady at table reached across table and grabs the corn out of the plate that should have been mine. Then says oh this isn't our food. Then throws corn back in plate as man is putting hushpuppy back. The girl then brings the food to our table. I said I'm not eating food those people touched. The girl got mad threw the plate of food in window. As I stand there the cook pushes it back out... Never removed it out of window and the girl tries to give it to me again. I told her I wanted a refund. She sat it on counter and said I can only refund for both plates. Gave her my husband's food back and she said he touched it we can't take it back.. So we are out $23 and still no dinner. Asked to speak to the manager. The girl walks in the back comes back out and says their isn't a manager here. Then walks off.
