Capital One Money market savings

8/01/2023 I just found out today that my 360 money market account is receiving .8% interest instead of the 4.3% interest offered to other 360 accounts. Since Capital One no longer offers the 360 money market account why would they not switch my account to their newer offering. I have lost hundreds of $ in interest. I get emails, texts, and see adds every time they raise their rates but not once have I received notice that I should move my money to a new account to take advantage of the higher interest rate. I can't help but believe there are many other old time account holders that are being screwed out of additional interest because Capital One failed to do what was in the best interest of their clients. I have been a supporter of Capital One for over forty years but I can't forgive them for what they've done. This is a slap in the face for all their old account holders that have put their trust in Capital One.

Desired outcome: They need to retro my account to receive the proper interest and notify all old money market account holders of the same.

Capital One Stopped subscription still paid out to TOTAL AV

I had stopped subscription to TOTAL AV months ago on my Capital App.They tried several times to take payment of £149 but was refused as it would show on my messages from capital card.Two weeks ago I also spoke to a lady at capital card please make sure no payment goes out to Total Av as I had cancelled the subscription .The lady confirmed I can see this was stopped and no payment will go out. Today I was updating the new phone and saw that capital card has paid out on 18th July 2023.I have spoken to Vishal in capital card help line who has promised to stop further attempts from Total Av and will put a request of the amount taken.

I had also emailed Total Av few weeks back on their web site email :[protected]@totalav.com to inform them that the subscription was cancelled and they should not keep attempting to take the money from my account.

Capital One Undelivered mastercard

My Name is Frank Castro, I went to BJ, s and shopped. When I went to pay, I learned My MC Visa., [protected]). I called the Capitol one help line.

This was the start of a nightmare. I've done everything I was asked to do. Only after I called that I learned that the documentation I sent was illegible. What's going on? I have multiple cards with Capitol one. They asked for the Caballa's card number. I read it to the representative. She said it was OK. I have waited several weeks to have a replacement sent to me. I never received the first one.

Capital One Fees

Capital one is the only bank or credit card that charges a $10 fee for every cash advance that’s actually not a cash advance because no other card or bank charges this fee. It’s actually a vendor and it’s build in a way that it looks like a cash advance but it’s not, I’ve called several times had no balance on my card got left on the side of the road with no gas and I’ve had it. I try to dispute it and they have refused to dispute it. I have over $200 in charges and I want them removed because I will never use that card again let alone for something like that. They didn’t even care I was on the side of the road.

Capital One Credit Card Limit

Capital One needs to seriously consider increasing one’s credit limits. I requested a credit limit increase for not one but two cards and was denied for both. The reasons they came up for the denials was ridiculous and the report that they showed for my credit through Equifax was a report from May. I have been with Capital One for a while but I am honestly considering no longer doing business with them in the future. I also would not recommend them to anyone I care about either.

Desired outcome: I would have liked if they reconsidered the decision on increasing my credit limit for at least my older card. I do not currently have any debt on either card and have made up for my late payments due to certain circumstances.

Capital One Automated phone system for credit card

On 7/5/23 I called more than 10 times to pay on credit card, it didn't recognize my entries...kept saying what was that? Please speak a little louder. I finally got through the web login and paid. But because it was after 8pm got charged late fee! My first call was 4:49pm my time in Az. This is wrong and your system is screwed up! I tried calling today, and it's still like that! Very frustrating and pissed customer! I don't agree with your $40 late fee.

Desired outcome: I would be happy if you would understand and remove the late fee!

Capital One Capital One

Capital One has refused on several occasions to return any phone calls or emails. Now you have a robot answering emails and when I called the number in the email, I was disconnected twice. I need information to pay the cc even though you have already written it off. You have been holding my money hostage for ove a year and capital one refuses to address the issue. I want someone to call me and give me my money back and the information I need immediately

Capital One Fraud reporting

I was scammed by what I thought was a debt consolidation that was going to roll all my cards into one payment. I was asked for my credit card information much like a transaction being processed. They then got into my account online and made a full payment thru my online banking account with an account that was not mine. I only realized it was a scam when they asked me to purchase a money gram card and send that to them. I immediately called and reported the scam and it has been a year battle now on trying to get new cards. Every time I call they need a statement from the account that is not mine. I have never made any of my payments thru that account. The scammer made that payment. Reporting a scam has definitely not helped me in anyway. The payment should of came back rejected due to account not recognized or not authorized transaction. The bank is not going to give me anything because it is not my account. We don't even have a Wells Fargo in NH as far as I know. Had I never reported it I would have my cards and the payment would have been just a rejected payment.

Desired outcome: I would just like new Cards for my 2 accounts.

Capital One Payments

I mailed all my payments in one envelope and they aren't being put on they're accounts like they should be. I've got proof of them. If you got one you got the rest now please put them on my accounts before I call a lawyer this is getting out of hand. One pussed off customer

Capital One Poor customer service and the inability to answer qyestions

The inability to successfully answer questions is ridiculous..it seems the answers vary to who ever picks up tge phone never really answering but dodging the answer thru side stepping. No consistent response to any thing..very poor ...today it took me 83 minutes and 7 calls to pay a bill ..each time you get a different answer 1 out of 4 supervisors was able to process my payment..just poor really ..must be a different capital one processing system in every state county and city.

Capital One Reversed loan on my account from 3 years ago

SBA Granted me a loan in 2020 and was reversed by Capital One in 2021 stating fraud. As explained by representatives it was reversed and was put in a general ledger as it was described to me within Capital One and was to be given back to the government. It is now 2023 I have been receiving phone calls from SBA stating I need to pay the loan back along with interest on this loan. as if I had the loan and it was given back. I have been calling the customer service line for support as i have been receiving phone calls from them. I had enough with the run around with the same information 3 years later as my credit is under an attack of this loan that I have no even used. I been calling asking for a tracking number to provide SBA with and I have yet to receive it. I have been provided with a case number and still no one has reached out to me about a solution on my account i had with this bank 3 years ago.

Desired outcome: I would like for this loan to be paid and resolved because I have yet to know what happen to this loan and also receiving phone calls from the SBA about this loan to be paid back. I really need help with this situation.

Capital One Credit Card

My phone is broken and im trying to order a replacement phone through Google, which only places a temporary hold on my card until i turn the old phone back in. YOU BLOCKED ME from ordering my replacement phone. I cant change credit cards on Google because i have 2FA on it, WHICH IS TIED TO MY PHONE. I CANT CALL YOU BECAUSE MY PHONE IS BROKEN. Please for the love of god use your brains!

Capital One Guaranteed credit card

When I got this card I was working part time. Since then my Parkinsons got worse and I have a speech impediment and even loosing vision neurologically. I was forced to completely halt working for many reasons. I need a customer service email that is not provided easily for email for my speech impediment. I cant find so I post this here. When I used CHAT it stated I could not switch from the 20th to the 30th for my ODSP comes once a month and to my great dismay, the company that aided my credit is NOW every month reporting me as BAD or delinquent because they would NOT change my payment date to aide me above. I cannot help this matter as it would be re-occurring every month that I do not get a change and hurting my credit instead of helping it.

Desired outcome: I need them to close my account but I will still pay it on the 1ST of every month!I gave them the 300 prior and they allowed charges after the 300 limit which I did not want done. Contact [protected]@hotmail.ca

Capital One Bill pay service

I've used their bill pay service for years. They just replaced it, 6/20/23, with the WORST bill pay service imaginable.

Half the payees I set-up were deleted.

When trying to pay one that remained, the service wouldn't even work. I entered the info, and it looks like it worked, but it just fails without any warning!. I got an email later saying it was canceled.

Calling customer service was of no help.

Desired outcome: Bring back the previous bill pay system. This new one is HORRIBLE!

Absolutely agree! I have visited a branch and they entered my complaint - I've called customer service multiple times asking why they rolled back to a format that appears primitive, at best, from a feature and functionality perspective? The bill pay system prior to the 6/20 rollout was VERY good, user friendly, good functionality and aesthetically pleasing using colors and customizable in organizing my bills and seeing what was paid the last few months at a glance. Please roll back to the previous system! If there was a feature causing problems on the banking end - fix that - not the customer facing interface. I have reported and am still considering, that I am so unhappy with this change that I am considering leaving Capital One. I am researching other bank online bill pay systems now. I hope - now that I know it isn't just me - that Cap One will listen. A rep named Jennifer called and left a message, saying she was from Capital One. I was hoping it was to discuss this, showing Cap One cared about the user experience. I have returned her call multiple times and have left at least 5 messages, asking to schedule a time to discuss but have not heard back and that was a week ago. No follow up by this rep so far.

Capital One Bill pay

On June 1st, 2023 I accidentally paid closed Chase credit card through Capital One Bill Pay. My bad, no questions asked. I filed a claim with Capital One as well as Chase hoping to reverse the transaction. Capital One customer service told me that the transaction was legitimate and there's nothing they can help me with. Chase was willing to return my money, but the problem was that Capital One bill pay still had my old address (that I changed a year ago on my account) on the proof of electronic payment they provided me with. Because of that the process with Chase got escalated and extended. I called Capital One to inquire why Bill Pay still has my old address when I updated everything on my account. The answer was it's a different system, but then how come they don't let their customers know that? The lady on a phone told me she will walk me through how to do it and when we stumbled on smth she just hung up on me. Great Customer Service! I'm a pretty old customer of Capital One, but now I'm seriously thinking about changing a bank. Within the past year I had a several issues and Customer Service was not helpful at all. They transfer you 10 times to different departments and then just hung up on you.

Capital One New credit card not issued unless I send in lots of info due to a fraudulent charge.

I was notified of a possible fraudulent charge to my credit card a few weeks ago, so I called in to tell Capital One that I did not recognize the charge. They told me that they would send a code to a cell phone to verify that it is me. Well, I do not have a cell phone, and your company assumes that everyone has one. The secondary way was to upload to a site that they gave me the front and back of an ID. I tried that, but that did not work either because each time I tried it, it comes up with an error code. Since you do not send the code via email, the only other way was to send a bunch of personal information using our mail service. I am not going to do that because that is not very secure either. So, here I am with a new credit card that they have, I have the last 4 digits of that card, but they will not send me the card unless I send all of that material to them or get a cell phone which I do not want. Why can't you send the code via email like my bank does? Why is there no other options in my profile other than turning on both phone and text or turning off both phone and text? I have a land line that cannot receive text messages.

Desired outcome: Change Capital One's policy so that I do not have to send in all kinds of documents every time there is a fraudulent claim on my credit card because I do not have a cell phone.

Capital One Credit Card Fraudulent Charge

I am writing in regards to a disputed charge of $80.00. The attached receipt was manipulated by changing the 1 to a 9 to reflect a tip of $95.00. I did not leave a $95.00 tip on a $105.29 bill. The total line was also manipulated by making the 1 into a 2 to reflect at total of $220.29.

On the receipt I was given from the merchant you can see that I clearly left a $15.00 tip and wrote in a total of $120.29.

To make matters worst, Capital One informed me of the fraudulent activity and I responded in less than 24 hours. Captial One investigator said I was the one that manipulated the receipt and the merchant's copy was the correct one. I immediately cancelled my card and would never do business with this company again.

Capital One Credit card

I paid $110.00 for my credit card. Capital One will not send it to me They want my ID I have faxed and mailed 7 times they say it's blurry no one else thinks so. It was taken at motor vehicles dept. I do not know what else I can do. No credit card co ever gave me so much trouble. Some one must know what is to be done. They want it on the computer. I don't want to be hacked, so I will not put it on the computer. No one ever heard of such a thing. Cred card companies do not do this to people. Since BJ's changed banks all they did was give me a hard time. I pay my bill ahead of time and they lowered my credit score.

Capital One Capital One's Unfair Policy and Abhorrent Customer Service

Capital One (capitalone.com) is the worst credit card company I have ever dealt with. I had two Capital One (C1) credit cards, and had been a customer since 2017. My credit is excellent (E-754, T-756), as was my payment history. Today (11/2/22) I closed both of my accounts because I am extremely dissatisfied with C1's abhorrent excuse for what they call customer service.

I usually pay my full balance on credit cards to avoid interest charges. Every other credit card I own either gives customers until midnight on the due date or, if the cutoff is earlier, the interest charges are AUTOMATICALLY reversed. That is NOT the case with Capital One.

Last month, on top of my automatic minimum payment, I paid the remaining $890.00 balance on the due date. However, C1 has an 8pm ET cutoff for payment, giving west-coast customer's a shorter window to make payments.

When the system advised that my payment was considered late, I called C1 to make sure the interest charges would be reversed. After an hour on the phone, I was transferred to a supervisor. He advised me that C1 realizes their current policy is unfair to customers on the west coast and that, due to customer complaints, a policy change is planned for the near future. He also informed me that I had a pretty good chance of having the charges reversed because of my account standing and the fact that the minimum due was paid before the cut-off, and only my additional payment was submitted afterward. However, nothing could be done until and if the charges appeared on my next statement.

I called back today and another supervisor informed that, regardless of having been with them for 5+ years, and in spite of the policy change in the near future, they would not reverse the interest charges. When I asked to escalate my complaint, he said I would have to do that via snail-mail. Isn't THAT convenient for C1?

This company is NOT customer-centered. They encourage customers to alleviate the company's call volume (overhead expenses) by making payments and profile changes online. They also reduce overhead costs by posting online statements for "customers' convenience." However, they have a convenient policy to deter customer escalations by not having an online process or even an email address for filing customer complaints.

I refuse to line the pockets of Capital One and its company-centered "customer service" when they penalize west coast customers with a shorter time window for payments. Chase, Discover, and Amex don't treat their customers that way, which is why C1 no longer has my business and their competition does.
