Camping World 2021 THOR MOTOR COACH

Bought brand new 140k motor coach in april. Drove home ac did not work. Called camping world store manager (jeff-lubbock tx) after several weeks of trying to fixed they came and got it and couple weeks later brought back. Week after got back got recall from thos saying ford did not fill rear-end with fluids and was told i had to take to dealership (ford) after a month of phone tag with (jeff-lubbock) he stopped responding to my text. So i found out on my own that coach had to be taken to a ford dealership in (odessa tx) for recall so set appointment up and took 9-1-2021 and soon as i leave town the check engine light starts flashing so i kept eye on temperatures and decided it was going to make trip and along the way the ac stopped blowing cold air again. Got to ford and they state they can only fix recall and they can not even hook up to see why engine light is coming on. Tell me i have to take to camping world. This rv has 1800 miles on it and the 1400 miles came from thor driving to camping world. Have had since april and made payments since then and can not use coach.

Desired outcome: NEW COACH OR REFUND OR COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH BY FORD AND THOR.

Camping World Return Policy

On September 1st, 2021, I purchased a generator for my RV from the Jacksonville Florida Camping World. On September 2nd, 2021, I opened the box to read the operators manual. The operators manual was the only item removed from the original box. On September 2nd, 2021, I found a generator in a store from the same manufacturer with higher wattage operation ranges for a better price than I paid at Camping World. I called Camping World, up to and including the Corporate Office and was told that per Corporate Policy, I could not return the generator. As a consumer, I don't understand this policy, as all it word take is to retape the box shut and resell the product that was never removed from the box.

Camping World "Going through" campers before selling

Don't go to Camping World! Read the entire story, please!

Went to camping world of Windham almost a month before taking a 4500 mile trip looking for a camper in our budget, around 10k. Had a decent sales associate and after driving to another camping world in north Conway and another in Limington only 1 was a good weight for my truck and had what we thought we needed. Associate took a 2k deposit and said I'll be on vacation in Nashville TN but they will pull it out and go through it thoroughly I promise I'll tell them to because of your trip. Showed up following week, granted the break lines on my truck finally rotted out and I needed the camper delivered, which a nice older gentleman did for us. However we waited an hour to be seen for paperwork, lived the lady who saw us but no one took the camper out in 2 weeks to look through it! It is a 2005 zeppelin z11, just so if they look, they know who they [censored]ed over! First the kid "tech" for our walk through spilled no one added it to the list to be pulled out so waited 3 hours for that. During the walk through, half the [censored] inside didn't work and he was clueless to why. Get it home thinking ok everything else worked... Wrong! The battery was wired backwards because they are idiots and didn't realize on that model black is power, white is ground. Converter fried, auto reset breakers fried battery toast the day before we are to leave on our trip. Wife called service and the [censored] who answered said well that sucks and said nothing we can do, you can make an appointment. I have photos and plan to use them once I'm back. So off on the trip we go with a [censored]ed up trailer. No ac while in Niagara Falls, get to Ohio, my Army buddy and I start replacing stuff. New resets, new breakers, new battery and holy crap power! However converter still fried so we robbed the trickle charger from my truck for the battery. I message my sales associate who said he would have a better tech call me yet I'm on my trip... get to Kentucky still power. Get to my moms in Missouri and her BF starts going through the power and AC while we are out. Finds wasps nests in AC. Finds outlets above stove screwed up, fixed the pop out switch because it was backwards and we put in a new converter. Made it to Mississippi and find a leak in the pop out, the bench is torn away from the wall because of water damage prior. Now headed back to Maine and almost completely fixed and re-did the entire electrical because these [censored] don't give a [censored] about a 10k customer, which my sale associate stopped writing back after I called them out on that. I will never recommend camping world to any of my friends in and out of the military, let alone anyone who asks about campers! You [censored]ed me and my wife no lube and smiled! I hope you burn to the ground! Also that battery wasn't new!

Desired outcome: I want my camper fixed or a comparable one! After I spent the money to fix it on the road!

Camping World Deceptive sales practices

In 2015 my wife and I went to Camping world to trade our pull behind trailer for a fithwheel camper. I chose a camper online and we we to Camping World to check it and some other products that were on the lot. We told the sales guy that we were looking for our retirement camper. In other words something that would last. We got snookered and was sold a disposable camper that only last a 1/4 of the time it was financed before major dollars have to be spent to fix defective windows, roof caps. I could understand one window having a issue but multiple windows having the same problem leaking.
According to a forum about Keystone campers this is a serious issue and health hazard. The service associate checked on my extended warranty and evidently they knew ahead of time about the leaky issues and had a stipulation in their policy about rotten wood.
Also Camping World is in bed with their lender cause they will finance a camper that is only good for 5 or six years for 20 years
So there are several areas that the sales practices Camping world deceives a prospective buyer.

Desired outcome: I would like for camping world to buy this camper back or at the very least fix the defective windows and the affected walls and floors

We upgraded to a Fifth Wheel, bought elsewhere 5-21, so I wanted to cancel and get refunded for warranty. Camping World Crooks steal your money.

Bought 2018 jayco greyhawk 30x. Well make a long story short it didnt work when we looked at it and still doesnt. Took there word they would fix it and i mean for the pickup. Payed 1500 for walk through guy worked there 2 weeks didnt know what was going on hardly anything worked. Bring it back next week we fix it. Ok took it back almost every week for two months still no work. Lost all of our camping spots embarresed stress you name it. In my opion this sat in a feild some where and they dumped it on me. All wiring suspect one thing shorts then others mirrors stove cameras tv winnegaurd they put in for 900 generator battery connect switch inverter air conditioner radio city water hook up had more coming out then going in nothing i mean nothing fixed just the one air conditioner and the mirrors which ford fixed tried to trade in get money back guess what they wouldnt even look at it if it didnt work lmfao. These people including there workers need prosicuted. If you lie doesnt matter if employeer tells u to or not your liable want dont you get. Dont buy there extended warranty or anything else from them. Lost 30000 dollars on this deal of hard earned retirement income. Bought new one from another dealer who was very honest. His warranty with no deductibale was 3000 dollars cheaper on same terms as camping world. Crooks they are crooks. Owner has poster on door if you not happy i am not happy well hey idiot 76 percent of reviews are bad and if you did worry you would be suicidle by now.

Camping World Service

I walked into the Camping World at 48 Miller Jackson Tn to get my camper serviced and met Autumn, the front desk lady taking all my important information. As I started talking to her my husband recognized who this Autumn girl was and unfortunately we had to leave due to this being the girl that just got arrested for theft at Walmart. If these are the kind of people you employ then I'll take my camper somewhere else. She hands all our check and debit card info and I wont give info like that to a thief!

Camping World Trailer not prepared, many items needing attention, finance manager rude

We purchased a Coleman Light 2455 BH on May 16, 2021 in Coburg, Oregon. We Picked it up on May 24th. With an entire week between purchase and pick up we anticipated that the trailer would be ready. We did our walk through and discovered that the toilet was leaking and the dinette table top was damaged. They planned to fix those. After signing papers and going out to tow the trailer home, we discovered the latch to tie the screen door to the door was damaged and not connecting. They managed to fix it, although had to kind of do a "fix" to get it to work. After we got the trailer home we discovered that the locking latch on the outdoor kitchen would not operate properly. After multiple calls to resolve this we finally got three locks in the mail and were able to replace the faulty lock. The parts department seemed to have great difficulty figuring out how to help us. We are not in a position to just tow the trailer the 45 miles to the dealer every time we have a problem. We have not even used the trailer yet and keep discovering problems. Now we have noticed that the light in the bathroom doesn't work, the plywood panel under one side of the dinette is not sized properly and the hole is in the wrong place so that is un-useable for storage, and the table rocks; we can't get it to seat firmly in the post holes.
We are definitely concerned about whether we will encounter any other problems and safety concerns once we start using the trailer. This is seriously frustrating and we definitely will not be referring any one to Camping World. Too bad, we were happy with our first purchase and would have referred many friends who are planning to purchase trailers soon.
Another issue that we want to mention is that the finance manager, Joe, at the Coburg location was extremely rude and dismissive when we had questions about our loan. Our own finance representative, Brett, was helpful and pleasant.
To sum up, we are not happy with our service at the Coburg location.

Desired outcome: Get our problems resolved without extra effort on our part. Covid 19 is no longer a viable excuse.

They sold us a unit with no seals in it. 3years later the floor is falling out of the camper - they I fixed seals but didnt fix the water damage!!! My son almost fell through the floor!!! Camping World service

My Rv the finish in fading I called the the company that makes the finish was told to get est. and reply within 15 day camping world said can't get in until Aug. this store has to be the worst in service they gave me phone numbers to call but the are no longer doing that kind of service and this is not the first time I have had problems with the store in Fountin, Co . So I will will no longer tell anyone to use this store

Camping World Service Department Lakeville Mn

We dropped off our camper in October of 2020 to have a recall fixed and a warranty issue fixed. We had them winterize the camper while they had it. They had it for 6 months and did not fix any of it. They kept lying that some of it was done but they did not complete the work. They did not call us on any updates and kept lying on what was done on it.

Camping World Service

To whom it may concern, I was a first-time buyer who owned two travel trailers, bought second hand, and sold my last one to use for a down payment on the one I purchased at this facility. My experience with your store in Roanoke, VA, was terrible concerning professionalism, accuracy, proficiency, and respectfulness. 1. It took 10 hours to make a deal on the trailer of our choice. There was no negotiation on price, no considerations of the distance we traveled or the inconveniences my family has endured. We paid the total cost of the trailer we bought. It took 4 hours to view the trailers at this facility due to understaffing, which costs my wife and me and several other customers an inexcusable wait time. When we decided on the one we wanted to purchase, the finance department stated there were two customers ahead of us, and we were required to come the following day if we wanted to buy the trailer. My wife and I drove to Roanoke, VA, the next day, and yet it still took an unjustifiable amount of wait time. Six hours to be exact, because there were others ahead of us wanting to purchase a trailer. 2. When hooking up the trailer I noticed there was no VA inspection sticker. The sales manager said they would deliver and install a sway ball mount for me for the mishap. 3.This facility's finance department ran my bank card number 3 times on the deposit, saying nothing at all about it didn't go through the first two times. They did not notify me that it did not go through until the third time. There was no transparency with this significant financial issue. Consequently, I found out when I had a considerable negative balance with my bank and had to go four days without any fundings to my name. Is this legal? Can this facility be held accountable for this massive financial issue? I had to borrow money until it was returned to my account, causing inconveniences for me, my wife, family, and friends. 4. When it was time to file our taxes, the financial department also submitted the wrong county. Unfortunately, once again, an inconvenience of my time spending 2 hours on the phone with two different counties to correct their mistake. 5. When the trailer was finally delivered, I noticed screws sticking out around the two windows in the slide out. I called the sales manager, and he told me to send pictures, and the service department will take care of them. I sent the images, and he said he sent them to the service department, and they were handing it. Again, no communication from the service writer or service department, so I called a week later inquiring about this issue. The service writer stated that I had to bring the trailer in to be serviced and that they needed to take their own pictures for warranty purposes. I took it in, and they said it had to be approved, I called back a week later, and they told me YOU denied the claim and for me to call you. You then told me it wasn't covered because it didn't leave your factory that way. I said I didn't care where it happened; someone should cover it. I spoke with someone else at your company, and he approved the repair. At this point, I was notified that the dealer did not fill out nor submit the warranty papers. The dealer made it a vast deal belittling the idea that I did not want to leave the trailer and wait while repairs were made. They were worried about their workforce and said it would have to sit for 72 hours or I could pay 65 dollars and they would disinfect the trailer, if I planned on waiting for it. I said that should also be under warranty. The service writer agreed to waive the cost, but when I took it in for repairs, I watched from across the street, at camping world; they never disinfected my unit. Their actions demonstrate they are not concerned for their customer's safety or health caused by the workforce. It gives the impression they just wanted me to leave my trailer, because not one trailer was sanitized while observing from across the street before the service department started working on them. Once I returned to the service department they said it was done, the exterior siding where they took the windows out was dented. These dents were in numerous places on my metal siding, including the decals being damaged. Both inside trim rings were scratched at every screw hole and covered with a magic marker. It looked like a purple strip at every hole, with both the blinds scratched and scratches on the bottom at each screw hole. Not to mention my dinette leather cushion, which was also scratched. Shop foreman got involved and said he would replace all. They called and said all parts were in; I asked, are you sure? And to look at parts to ensure they are correct. Once again, I had to drive back to the service center in Roanoke, VA, for repairs, and upon arriving, I was told that morning parts that came in were wrong. So, they reordered the parts required to fix my trailer, and I am told that the Shop foreman said the trailer had to be there a minimum of 3 days. He stated the first day was to get the trailer and parts at the same temperature, the second day was to make repairs, and the third day was for drying. The first time I went for the repairs, when I was sitting at camping world, I witnessed a trailer's A/C unit being damaged because they didn't open the door high enough to pull it in for servicing. I told the service manager, and he passed the intel to the shop foreman. When they told me I had to leave it, I felt uncomfortable and hesitant after the horrible experiences thus far with this company. Naturally, I said I wanted to see it go in due to what I witnessed with another individual's trailer being damaged from carelessness and that I would be back in 3 days to see it come out of the shop. They said they understand and agreed to my request. The fourth time I had to take my trailer back after the parts came in, they made me an 8:10 appointment. The service writer discussed with the shop foreman about work bay space. He stated there was needed time to set up and be ready for me at 8:00.They said it was all arranged for me to be there at 8:10. That morning when I took the trailer in, the service writer told me they could not work on the trailer until 11 o'clock.they could have called me the day before and said something. I told them I'll sit across the street and wait and watch. They put it in the bay at 9:15. The service writer called me the next day said the blinds ordered were incorrect and needed more time for blinds to be delivered. I told him to fix the outside and mail the blinds to me. At this point, I had already spent a substantial amount of money and time driving to and from Roanoke, VA. I dropped the trailer off on a Thursday, which they initially told me a three-day process for repairing. Therefore, it was supposed to sit Thursday for the temperature to equal out, so Friday the repairs could be made, and Saturday it can sit in the shop to dry. The service manager stated they needed more time which had me worried. I went there on Saturday and was there at 10 o'clock; my trailer was already outside and they were still doing repairs. Again, they told me something came in incorrectly, a decal causing them to overnight the correct decal. So, once again, they put my trailer outside for another unkept promise. I waited there at the facility until they were done, and I took the trailer. During this whole time, I asked to speak to the service manager; they were always busy, and the operator would take a message and said they would call back, which they never did. I filed a complaint with you #02594053 and have not heard anything from you either; I also asked for a call from you. How can you close a complaint and not speak with me about it? It took four trips to your dealer to fix my problem. It takes me 1:20 min; I only do 60 on the interstate, and it's 65 miles, one way to your dealer. That's 9 hours of my time and 520 miles put on truck and trailer. As you can tell from the beginning, your company has treated me awful. I have been disrespected, belittled, mistreated, and it is unacceptable for any customer to experience any of these issues, let alone one. Please do not ask me to contact the corporate office; I have already done that. You have my complaint number and the information needed for an agreeable solution and compensation concerning my money and time caused by your company.With my experience do you think I'll ever buy anything from you again.
I won't be surprised if I don't hear anything from your company.

Every time I try to go on line, I get an error message that my e-mail address is a bad e-mail. Even though I get tons of e-mails from your company weekly. Camping World Bought a Brand New 2021 Gulf Stream Enlighten with defects

We bought a Brand New 2021 Gulf Stream Enlighten in this Camping World Newhall, CA last Aug. 29, 2020. We are a first time buyer of RV since the pandemic began we thought this is a better idea to spend a vacation with kids and family. We wanted to buy a 2nd hand because we thought that we will not be able to afford and expensive brand new Travel Trailer. And when my daughter saw this 2021 Enlighten in Camping World that only cost $18, 990 we went there to see it and was encouraged to buy this because we felt that it fits perfect to our family of 5. And the amount fits in our budget and most importantly its Brand New and we thought that we will not be having any headache and problem. But after a month since we got it when we went to our first camping trip we noticed that the exhaust fan is not working and the outlet on the right bed side is not working and the air conditioner is not getting warm. Then the fuse started to blows off and since then every time we go camping we have to replace the fuse because its busted. And my son in law notice that the both axel of the Travel Trailer is bend which is not normal and not supposed to be like that. So we called them and scheduled us to bring the Travel Trailer to be fixed so my son in law brought it on October 16 and left it there for almost 3 weeks and they said that it will take about 2 to 3 weeks to be fixed but when we tried to call them after 3 weeks they said that the parts hasn't arrived and told us we could just get it first and then just return it after our camping because we have scheduled camping on November. So after that we returned it again on December of 2020 then we left it there for more than a month. When we call to follow up they said that they still haven't fixed it because they still need to order the parts again. We all know that the warranty is only 1 year and its already February 2021 so until now since we also have schedule camping schedule we really needed the travel trailer because there is no use to keep on returning it to them and asking them to fixed it but they are not sure now that if they could fixed it for sure.. we felt that we bought a lemon and was ripped off because when the warranty is over they could charge us for all the parts and labors now... and for us who expect that buying a brand new one will not give us a headache now is are thinking a different thing.

I notice the same with us we had our brand new camper in the show to be fixed for almost 3 months give or take some days and they did not bother to fix many jobs but pretended that's why it took so long their extended warranty program they lie, same with many of the staff. They promise but don't deliver... our dealings were with Calera, AL.

Dealing with the corporate office they came off thick as thieves, bending the truth and playing brain games.
And trying to contact Coleman enterprises to do something becomes we are not the vendors and the run around continued.
In the end, we paid it out, the cost of the camper, it is not worth dealing with thieves and liars who in Camping World do not see themselves accountable for the amount of money you spend either buying or to the bank finance company. Yes, we got dumped with a let's say secondhand new camper that needed fixing from day one.
Good Luck but never deal with the camping world again and that's what I tell other camper uses who got the same issue.

Camping World Unethical behavior & lies

This is my 2nd time writing a complaint on here and still nothing has been done nor have I been contacted as to an update on our camper. Camping world of Dothan Al has had our brand new camper since Nov 4th and they have not even began the repairs yet it is now feb 12 and we have not missed a payment this entire time and we are getting the run around every time we actually get in touch with someone. Its the same story we are waiting on the warranty dept. Well Im tired of waiting and not getting to use our camper that yall were so eager to sell and also do some shady stuff on the financing to even get us in it. Now its like the 3 grand we put down on it and the 400 a month we pay is just money wasted. I have this fear that when they call and tell me its ready I am going to drive the 2 hours there and it still not be fixed just like happened the last 2 times I drove there. I have spent 14 hours so far driving back and forth and still have no camper. I have taken time off work that I really didnt have to drive over there.. I dont understand why its so hard to just say man the camper we sold yall is messed up and swap with a new camper. It would be the only right thing to do! My 3 daughters sleep in the bunk room next to where this water leak is and if the walls and wood under the tub are not replaced there will be mold and I dont know how yall feel but my kids are not staying anywhere they could get sick. attached are the pics of the water coming from under the wall and pics of the water damage. We told them about this problem in July when we bought it and the last time they said it was ready we went to pick it up they couldnt find a leak and didnt see any water damage until I pointed it out then they were like oh Im so sorry I didnt see that.. I mean come on they guy blue taped it and documented it when we dropped it of.

We purchased an T01 Camco RV cover for $544.97 and a warranty for $219.99 from Camping World in November 2019. Camping World Service Department

Bought a 6 figure DRV. Had many items noted on PDI and a great many more before warranty expiry. Turned them all in. Got complete run around for three years. Hired an attorney and went to mediation. They were supposed to repair coach but started to back peddle as soon as mediation was over. We opted to settle for $25, 000 which was how much the atty cost us. Most issues were never addressed. At one point, CW had our coach for three months and they knew full well we lived full time in it. The most major issue was our drivers side slide would come out while we were driving down the road. I spent 18 months trying to get help. Not one word from any of the 5 people I sent emails to. Not even in mediation. No one ever addressed this situation. I have all emails to prove what I am saying is true. I filed an official complaint with the state of NC in Feb, 2020. I was number 45 in less than 5 years. This is outrageous.

Desired outcome: We want them to take the coach back.
