Camping World no response to our emails

We would like to cancel our good sam extended warranty and we're told by the warranty folks that we had to get a cancellation form filled out by the dealer we purchased it from, then it would be mailed to us to sign and then we mail it to the warranty people who would in turn have the camping world dealership that we purchased it from issue us a check. Wow, what a way to run a business or run off customers.

We've sent two (2) emails to mr. Jeremy christian (general manager) and todd beck (general sales manager) requesting this form. It's been almost two weeks and we've not even received an email from either one of them saying the paper work was in the works, it was mailed on... Nothing.

We would appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Camping World used rv

Bought a 2001 jayco designer legacy from cw in spartanburg after a divorce to live in until I built a house on my land. Was new to the rv world and boy did they take advantage of that. Discovered recently when I changed insurance from foremost (another crooked organization in bed with campingworld) after they ran the vin it was actually a 2000 model and not a 2001 like all the paperwork and title states. Paid the going price for a 2001 model in good shape, not a 2000 in terrible shape. Unit should have been rated as "totaled" on water damage alone. The skank, crack-[censor] sales thing who lied through her teeth to make her commission was allison masters. The "tech"? That also flat out lied was jim something. After a few months when I learned about campers I realized neither one knew jack [censor] from applebutter. They kept it for two weeks after I bought it and said they were going to fix multiple problems and was obvious they didn't do a damn thing. They delivered it. The stove had grease on it, the shower had funk in it and had not been cleaned at all. Was nasty. Carbon monoxide/propane detector didn't work and heater was leaking carbon monoxide and propane which was finding its way inside. Had flu like symptoms for three weeks before I discovered it. More than a dozen leaks in roof. First time I used water heater it caught on fire and turn the side of the camper black. Obviously not tested. Service manager paul thomas, another compulsive liar that obviously smoked crack too, kept saying he was going to send somebody out and gave me the runaround for three months while it leaked ruining the structure underneath even more. Other things that didn't work: half the light fixtures, exhaust fans in living area and bathroom, big slide out wouldn't retract, inverter 12v output low and didn't charge the battery, battery dead as a door knob, propane back up for frig no work, refrigerator wouldn't cool once it reached 75â° or above outside, hoses at propane hook ups had several leaks, and switch valve leaked and was defective, exhaust fan and light over stove no work, thermostat for heat/ac defective, 120 v outlet in cabinet for microwave defective and arcing to the extent it was black, leak in water supply line inside which caused extensive water damage, most of the shades on the windows we're broken and wouldn't stay up, half of the light switches no work, flex duct in storage underneath going to bed room torn in several places, stove and oven no work, ceiling paddle fan no work. They told me about water damage to floor at one spot in bathroom but had three other places. There are other problems I can't think of right now. The level of greed and dishonesty the staff at cw possess is worse than politicians or insurance executives. What they do is worse than crackheads breaking into your house and stealing. The fact they can treat people the way they do and sleep at night says all you need to know about their moral character. These kind of people are what is wrong with this country today. People that do business with them and give them money have a level of stupidity beyond compare. I will continue to harass them and say and write the truth. They suck out loud

Camping World ceo marcus lemonis against potus

As a long time member of the good sam club with years of shopping at our local camping world, the recent ceo marcus lemonis' comments about president trump have me searching for an alternative retailer for my rv/camping needs. I don't believe any ceo should take political party sides and to use his/her powerful position to promote a political view or agenda. I supported camping world when I could've bought the same product elsewhere because of the friendly staff, superior service. And large product selection. However, I feel marcus lemonis has crossed the line by making camping world political. I will return when he is no longer the ceo.

Camping World rv repair, service dept and management

In the early morning hours of 7-26-17 we awoke to smoke smell in rv. By the time I had lights on smoke alarm was on & could see light smoke coming from ac vents. Turned unit off with remote & then shut off breaker. I went to camping world wentzville, mo in car with book on ac unit & a carefree awning I needed repaired & my warranty paper work. After telling service counter attendant my problem I was told there was no repair to be done on a carrier unit & to go to parts desk to figure out a replacement unit. I went to them told them I thought my warranty might cover ac unit & was told that service desk would take care of that paper work for me. This was started at 8 am by 10 am we had decided that I needed to have rv there so serviceman could make decision about what was needed for ac & awning. I then drove back to rv closed it up & brought it back to camping world by noon. After parts person finally got jay to bring a serviceman (kevin) out he never looked at rv; he asked me if remote still worked, I said I had turned ac off with it, he said that lower unit was still good & that all we needed was a adapter from whirlpool to carrier; I then said he also needed to look at awning & he said to order what web site called for & he could cut it down if need be. The parts desk then spent till about 4 pm trying to get part numbers & order them; I paid deposits & left after a very long day.
On 8-2 or 8-3 parts desk called to say ac was in & we made a 8 am appointment for 8-7 for install.
On 8-7 we dropped rv off after being told at service desk that they were going to get it right in. We came back at 10:30 & rv was still sitting on lot. Service desk checked & said they were going to get it in a few minutes. We had doctor appointment, so we left again, came back at 4:30 to find rv still on lot; was then told that we could stay on lot overnight & it would be brought in first thing next morning. We sat it up for overnight and took it down in morning, they got it in shop about 9 am, awning was also there so they were to install it also; at noon when we went to lunch we could see that old ac was off roof and new one was on roof ; at 4:30 part person came to us to tell us that both ac & awning parts were wrong; she took me out to unit and jay said we should have ordered ac that I have in front which I had told them on 7-26 which was why I had brought rv down because I did not know what kind of ac was on front. Jay also said that they could cut tube down for awning but could not cut fabric because it was hemmed & would have to order correct fabric or cut off hem. Jay also said they could make ac work by ordering a lower unit and figuring out how to wire a thermostat up on a wall; I told him that they were not doing either to take ac off roof put old one back by 6 pm. Parts person & I went back in to get correct parts ordered, I again brought up warranty; after a discussion between parts desk & service desk it was decided that service desk had to do warranty work & order parts for that work so parts desk had to look them up & give info to service desk; by this time it was too late to call carefree or warranty company, so we stayed another night on lot to order parts on 8-9. On 8-9 parts person priced ac at e-trailer gave that to nicole at service desk; she also ordered 74” fabric for awning & had it shipped ups. Nicole called wholesale warranty & turned in service request; by 1 pm when I had to leave she had not received a reply; she said she would call me if there were any problems.
8-14 we were in town & I stopped by to see if she had any info on when part would be in. She said she had to check and was gone for a while in south side of building. When she came back she said insurance was requiring them to diagnose old ac unit & that I could bring rv back in at 8 am on 8-16 & they would get it in right away. I asked when she had planned to call me about this & she said it had been on her to do list but there were a lot of things on her to do list & she had not got to it yet.
8-16-17 at camping world at 8 am; they got rv in about 10 am; through the day they got awning fabric on but they were always still checking ac out; at 4:30 they finished ac testing; by then it was too late to call about parts or call insurance. 8-17 parts were looked up by 9 am; insurance was called by 9:30 am; rest of day no word of progress. 8-18-17 at nicole’s desk by 9 am, when she got caught up she called insurance company and repair had been approved so she had ac ordered from e trailer & gave me an 8 am appointment for 8-23 when they are going to work me in. This will be 8th day I have spent at camping world 5 of them because of shop mistakes.
8-23 at camping world at 8 am. They got in pretty quick but was still about 4 pm before we checked out. I asked manager for a rebate of labor, shop supplies, & shipping on complete job because of poor service. He refused saying that job was complete & that there is no promise of speedy service & that it is parts desk problem to get correct part not theirs. I don’t understand how part desk is not supposed to be able to ask techs what correct part are going to be needed to make a repair & that when shop finally give them info why I should not expect that info to be correct.
8-25 this is second repair I have had at wentzville store this year; both I feel were poorly handled; I settled with shop on 1st; I still feel that I should be comped for this job. Camping world has set itself up as rv sales & repair chain nationwide; for a full timer like myself this is why I come to camping world. Wentzville is a 40 mi. Round trip from my home camp, the next store is at columbia mo. 180 mi. Round trip. 8 trips to wentville to get this last repair completed was not right. The attitude of manager & tech. Are that they are right & customer is wrong; from all the customers standing at service desk complaining since 7-26 I am not alone in my feelings about this store.
I feel a refund of $556 copay for ac.
$220 labor for awning
$135 shipping for awning parts
$39 shop supplies
_
$950 total would be a suitable incentive for them to clean up their act. I would appreciate your response to my case.

Camping World 2 year membership purchased 2 weeks ago and ceo's remarks

I am insulted by your ceo's comments and want my membership refunded immediately as I no longer feel comfortable shopping with your business. I am also strongly considering returning the $400 in products recently purchased as I do not support companies who insult their customers regarding their political views. I am extremely offended and want at minimum a refund of my recently purchased 2 year membership.

Camping World travel trailer hitch longmont colorado

We purchased a mallard travel camper on august the 9/10 and as per the agreement they would install a trailer hitch to hubby's truck. They did! After 1 1/2 of waiting we go out to find the installed trailer hitch nearly touches the ground by inches. I told them this was unacceptable. They agreed and said they would try to find one closer to us in fountain, colorado. They stated this was all they had on hand... Well heck! Order the right thing then. Don't go ahead and install a hitch that nearly bumps every dip in the road. That could destroy back end of truck or front end of camper. It's august 22 and we've heard nothing. The hitch is so low that we've not even used the camper and are still waiting for this installation failure to be corrected or even addressed... Heard nothing! Called the financer cory, but he said he only handles finances so passed it off to seller clay! Clay asked hubby, who doesn't text much to text him the details and he would check into it... Well, we'd already verbally given them to him. We had given corporate a rating of 5 with condition of hitch issue being corrected, but now we've had to call them since the issue was never addressed. We feel pretty f'd over by this lackluster service now. Still waiting for call back from corporate, who say they will address this issue... Ughhhhhhh! Longmont, colorado is location we were serviced and bought from...

Republicans live in rural areas and love to hunt and fish and buy big camping gear. 20% of your customers are democrats. Democrats live in cities and do not like to hunt and fish or...

Camping World customer service department

I wanted to inform you folks that our remote is not working with the jacks after the installation yesterday. The awning and all 3 bump-outs work, but when I try the jacks, all I get is a clicking sound out of the new board that was installed. I wanted this put on the record because I will be scheduling to have this repaired once we return from our family vacation in september.

I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed we are with the service department there at camping world of lakewood new jersey. A year and a half to get two items replaced is absolutely unacceptable. We bought our unit on february 29, 2016 and it took until yesterday (august 21, 2017) to finally have the remote repaired and it’s still not right.

We have dealt with your excuses, your lies (on two separate occasions) your inadequacies and your inability to provide a simple proper repair along with satisfactory customer service to a paying customer. We are thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with camping world and really wish we had done our homework in checking reviews and talking with previous customers before choosing your company to do business with!

I would like to post my complaint with Camping world of Lakewood! I have been going there since I got my 37kt Thor in May of 2017. I kept telling them the shower door gasket rips, and I also stated that the door is out of square, they just keep replacing the gasket. The last time I dropped it off with all my problems that accumulated over the 2 years, I dropped it off on August 20th 2018, I did not call them till they told me it was done in February 2019. I took it home and the big slide did not work properly, I called and was told on February 19th they would get back to me. I got a e-mail stating that I am not ignoring you and will get back to you today. I waiting till March 16th and was told to bring it in. Stefany Cersarsky said she would work with the Thor rep. after 2 months I went up there and Stefany said she did not have time to take pictures of the problem. I took it away and will never go back to this store again. Even the store manager never returns calls.

Camping World stupid political statements by ceo

As a recent purchaser of a 35' class a rv who will of course require many additional rv related items I will honor marcus's demand to not shop at camping world ever again.

Nothing that president trump said could be take as support for racism except from people who don't want to maga and love the ruling elite/establishment's scam being run on usa taxpayers.

Totally agree. Its still a free country and the CEO can say and do as he chooses. I, however, choose to spend my money where politics are not a factor.
If his choice for president had of been elected, we would all be slaves to the govt eventually.

Camping World ceo

I voted for and support president trump. The ceo of camping world is way out of line with his statements. I have served this country for 36 years of military service. I am also a long time camper.
As long as the cw ceo stands against our president, I will boycott your business and ask my many, many military comrades to do the same.
He has made a lot of people displeased with him stance.

Camping World unethical behaviour

I was ready to trade in my camper with your company in ocala florida untill I read this. Ceo of camping world and host of “the profit, ” said this about the issue:

“there’s no doubt that there is probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said in the last couple days and if they are, quite frankly, don’t shop at my business.”

What our president said was fine except with msm and left wingers. You can now kiss my business goodbye. Thankfully there are many camper sales in this country without using your.

Camping World travel trailer

Tried to trade in camper after 1 season of camping, this said oh well you are stuck with it. The bank they use charges a high interest rate, that they failed to disclose during paper signing. The bank does not allow pay-off, they want interest and money for whole contract. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Corporate offices are probably the same way, they turn a blind eye.

Camping World installation of airlift air springs

On july 21, 2017, I received a quote from camping world in louisville, tennessee to install airlift springs on our 2012 newmar ford f53 chassis. The quote was for $1, 704.65, estimate [protected]. I started checking on the internet for prices on the springs and found they were $253.00 less so I purchased them online and installed the front springs since they did not require drilling. I then called camping world to have them install the rear since they required drilling. I was given appointment and told it should take about 3.5 hours. I delivered the camper to them at 8 am and after all the paperwork and inspections, they took the camper at 8:30 am. I was called at 10:00 am and said that it would take more time to drill the holes and I needed to understand the labor would be more. I told them ok thinking.5 hour more for a total of 4 hours. At 12:30 pm, 4 hours later, they called and said the camper was ready to pick up. I went in and found that they were charging me for 4 hours to install the rear springs and 2 hours to install the front. I told them that was incorrect since the front was already installed and they said the time was really used on the rear when they supposedly had techs standing around and made them drill the holes. They also said the 125.00 shop supplies charge was for shop towels and stuff. I said I wanted to speak to the store manager and they told me they do not work for the store but are subcontractors and I could speak to their manager. I was so mad, I declined so as not to cause me any more issues with my blood pressure and make a scene. This happened on 8-8-2017 and I just now have calmed down enough to discuss it.
I knew I would have to pay the regular labor rate for the time which was posted as 129.99 per hour, however it did not say per man. They had my camper for 4 hours and I feel like that charge is fair, but they cannot charge me for the 2 hours to install the front springs since they had already been installed and the supplies charge, really. I could live with 50 bucks but 125.00, the floor must be gold in the shop. I have shopped at camping world for years but never used the service and installation dept. And I can assure I will never use them again and will let everyone I know to never use them. I will say the techs do really good work, but I hate being robbed at the counter by people that have no clue and can not offer any better explanation than what they had. Attached is copy of invoice showing where they charged me for the front install.

Camping World 2017 montana high country

We purchased a new 5th wheel may this year everything was great up till we signed on the dotted line, it has been down hill ever since! It took 3 months to get a set of keys to our camper! After numerous calls to dealership. We made a appointment to have warranty issues fixed we was told that with the issues we had that they should be able to fix it that day and that was over a month ago and as of today we still haven't gotten our camper back! Numerous phone calls to the dealership and we get no return calls back unless we continue to call endlessly! We will never shop for anything nor buy another camper from camping world again!
We have purchased over 40 different rvs and this was the only one we have ever bought from camping world and it has been the worst experience we have ever had! This camping world was in hendersonville nc!

Camping World warranty extension service work and service dept. personnel

In june 2017 I traded my motor home that I purchased at dusty's camping world in bartow. I have had several prior terrible experiences there in the past with the service dept, being lied to and not answering the phone as they see who it is on caller id!.
Well, here is another one, I had three years left on a paint and decal extended warranty when I traded it in. I asked for a refund for the three years I had on the agreement and they told me there was no refund coming. When I asked why, they told me the coatings were on the camper and I had nothing coming back. Camping world had nothing to be responsible for at all with this extension.
I wrote to the ceo of camping world, marcus lemonis, and advised him of this matter. No response! So I have to eat $925.00?
When I asked camping world why I received a partial rebate for my tire and wheel extension, which also went with the motor home, they had no answer.

I read several reviews on camping world from all parts of the country and all seem to have the same problems. I suggest lazydays, as they do not do business this way.

Camping World deceptive sales practices

Beware! We will never do business with camping world. We recently visited camping world, oakwood, ga in response to a used camper ad listed on their website for $8, 199.00. We called, verified the price and made an appointment and drove over 60 miles one way to their oakwood, ga location where the unit was located. We viewed the camper and liked it and the salesperson (omar benevites) took my husband's driver's license so that he could get a final price on the camper. He came back in and gave us a price of almost $14, 000.00. We asked for my husband's license back because we had no intention of doing business with a company that would use one price to entice you into their location and then change the price. He kept up the high pressure sales even though we asked for the license to be returned 3 more times. Finally his supervisor, terry reno, came in and said the price had been raised due to repairs they had made. We told her that we had verified the price when we called and there were still repairs needed on the camper, so how could that be true. We finally got my husband's license back and were able to leave. We would never do business with a company that uses the "bait and switch" tactic.

Camping World service

This company is terrible at customer service. We return our camper for warranty work and it is always with them for over a month. They do not call and update us on the progress, we always have to follow up with them, and when we do call it usually takes 3-5 days for them to return the call. We have had multiple intermittent issues on parts covered by warranty and if they have not been able to troubleshoot.in fact, in one case they charged us for investigating a problem they could not fix; a problem covered by the warranty we had to pay for them not to fix it. We have had service on the same parts repeatedly with no resolution. They have no customer satisfaction concerns at all. We find them unreasonable and regret we ever purchased an RV from them and would never recommend them to anyone.

Camping World warranty issue and poor customer service by upper management

Bought a brand new Travel Trailer end of last July. The gentlemen that sold it to us Jim was excellent. Service and management on the other hand not so great. Our first trip camping this summer it started to rain and our self leveling sun shade/awning collapsed. Contacted Camping world and had to call a mobile RV Tech to come out and help us. I was told it was still under factory warranty and they would submit it. My claim was denied and I was told by service I had to call the manufacturer myself to rectify the situation. The manufacturer rep was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. They wouldn't help me either. I had to order my own part because Camping World couldn't get it for 10 days. Majors RV in the Cape were amazing and got it for me the next day. The same Mobile Repair guy Chris from CP RV came out and replaced it for me he is also amazing. Come to find out it wasn't damaged the original awning/sunshade was never even installed properly hence why it collapsed. I still a month later am still fighting with them to get reimbursed now that i'm almost $1, 000.00 in with this. They also replaced my blinds due to a recall and installed them incorrectly they don't even cover the window properly. The service department is horrible with returning your calls and not to mention they sold me the camper but couldn't tell me what type of awning we had on it. Ashley that works the front store was more helpful and got me the correct information. Spoke with the General Manager Danielle who also was so unprofessional, she seemed to care less what my issue was and was so rude Thank God she's no longer there.in conclusion I will never purchase another camper from this company and I sure don't trust them to service my camper either. Everyone I know personally who has bought a camper here have all had similar experiences.
