over my 7-year service experience for Internet only service, Optimum has raised my rate countless times from $64/mo to $111/mo. I got service from another provider, fantastic service and 5-year guarantee rate, much less than Optimum.
Disconnecting service with Optimum is a nightmare. Yes it really consisted of 7 phone calls totaling 12+ hours of my time, mainly due to the rep arguing with me that they want to retain my service. Evidently 32 times of saying no thanks is not enough. I will further be filing a complaint with the FCC as Optimum is trying to bill me 3 weeks beyond my disconnect date. Yeah, I know that your policy to bill to the next period, but it's an unfair and pathetic policy.
Recommendation: Stay away from Optimum
