WOW Car Company Rude email after asking questions.

I found a vehicle I liked on cars for sale and contacted this place. I asked if the vehicle was still available and recived a nice reply "Yes" from Max R. Erwin Sr. ... next my email back said " Ok, it's been listed for awhile. I live 7 hours away, I know sales are what's important to you. Being so far away I need to know everything about this vehicle. Carfax is a plus. I would like pictures of the tiers and the back seats. We can make a deal and I'll drive up there finally take it off your hands. I wouldn't be so picky if I didn't live so far away"... his response to that email was "You really don't know me friend. I'm a ### if you're standing in front of my face. End of conversation do not email me back
M. Russell Erwin" Everything is copied and pasted word for word. I was prepared to head there at the beginning of the week to buy this vehicle. Not a business man at all and I can see why he has not sold it. This guy has no business having a business and cares less for customers. Do not buy anything and please feel free to pass this along.

WOW Car Company GREAT COMPANY - A WONDERFUL PLACE TO BUY A USED CAR

I recently purchased a vehicle from WOW Car Co. in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. What a good place to do business with. A great vehicle, a low price, and the people there are great. I recommend WOW Car Co. to anyone looking to buy a good used vehicle.

I am putting this recommendation on here because I googled WOW Car Co AFTER I purchased my vehicle from them. I was looking for their web site with a friend who was considering buying a car. We thought we would find their web site and check out their inventory before we actually went to the lot. Then we seen where a couple people put some bad remarks on here about them. Well, my experience is that they are very nice people. I bought a great suv for over $2, 000.00 less than I could find one like it for anywhere else.

So, when you google WOW Car company please consider my recommendation. I do not think you could find better people to deal with or a better vehicle for the price anywhere else

WOW Car Company Failure to provide contract, memo of title and wrong price

My daughter and son-in-law purchased a vehicle and were refused a copy of the Retail Installment Contract and Security Agreement when they purchased a car. My daughter and son-in-law are very young, recently married and expecting their first child. The salesman was helpful to then and quoted them the price they presented from the internet ad which is what brought them to the car lot. They were told that the price of the car was $2998 but the contract stated that the price of the car was $5, 000. My daughter and her husband are very young and never purchased a car before. They asked if the $5, 000 figure included all cost and interest and they were told that it did. They were also never provided a Memorandum of Title and had to pay a second time to get it so that they could register the car. Unfortunately, I was not with then when they purchased the car but once I review the document, a week later when I had to accompany my daughter to the dealership and request, again, a copy of the contract, I immediately sent a letter to the owner. To date, the only response I received was a very rude, short call from the company's statutory agent with threats and a request to never contact him again even though it is his responsibility to accept correspondence and documents on behalf of the company. I was then sent a letter from the alleged owner who did not address any of the concerns but instead threatened legal action against myself. I was hoping that they would want to respond appropriately and resolve the issues but instead I am threatened with legal action for helping my daughter and son-in-law write a simple letter. I was also threatened with a slander suit for expressing my opinion and my concerns on this very website. I am still hopeful that they will want to take a hard look at the facts of this situation and make a resolution but I am afraid that my hope is unfounded.

Entire story is untrue. You knew you did not have final approval when you left with the car. You also knew that you exaggerated the length of time of employment in the application. That is why the bank did not give final approval on the loan. We asked you to come sign new papers with a different bank and you refused. We had no choice but to come get our car. That is after we finally found the car. You hid it for probably two weeks to stop us from taking it back. It was NEVER your car. The bank never gave final approval and you knew that c

I recently purchased a vehicle from this company My husband and I walked in being from Marion we wanted to get a good reliable vehicle at a good price Never financing before and short on cash financing was our only option at that time. Our experience with the sales lady was great She quoted us on three different vehicles and we had the option to buy whichever suited us. We chose a Silver 2006 Chevy Impala. It had low miles Was Clean, all around a very nice car.Financing made the price jump up but we expected that, and again we have four children work school etc. Busy lives our previous car took a dump on us So we had to get a vehicle. We waited 5 days for them to get everything straight away and cleared with the finance company before we could come get the car also having to purchase full coverage auto insurance before I could take the vehicle home which caust me $160.00 to get it started, anyway I got all that I needed to get done on my part They called said everything finalized you can come get the car. Great we hurried there to finish finalizing The deal all there paperwork etc . Documents that needed signed. And I asked So this is it The manager there assured me that was it. I now had to have know contact with them I would be paying the bank that financed me. The car was ours. At least we thought. To make a longer story short I received a letter in the mail from the company they said financed me for the car mind you I had given a down payment for this car as well of $ 500 . The Bank never financed me. It was never approved and I had to inform them They of course didn't know what was going on They needed to call us back. Well they call and say we need try he car back after us having it for a little over 2 weeks I said that's fine as long as I get my down payment back This was the owners niece I was talking to She assured me He was returning our Down Payment, all of a sudden she says I'm going to have him call you back in a little while when he returns he wants to speak with you but just walked out. Mind you I had already received threatening text messages etc. From him before l had called. Waited on a return call this was on a weekend. Never called . The weekend passes A new week begins with a pounding Knock on my door It was someone to get the car, I explained he was supposed to call etc . what's going on? I am supposed to receive my Down Payment back So the man calls the owner putting him on speaker Phone He is yelling Cussing screaming Threats were mad You name it . We decided to VB video record the conversation between him and us. We have him on video record talking to his repo guy explaining as soon as The car is returned We can come get Our full Down Payment as early as That same Day. We gave the car to the man and he drove off. About 15 minutes later text messages start coming in from The Owner Telling us were not getting any money he's paying 3 guys and A Attorney etc. Just lies after Lies. This man is A Con he knew what he was doing he took advantage of us and our situation and put our money right in his pocket. The whole place is A Trap. The worst experience I have ever had. Do not buy from these people. I do intend on doing everything in my power to make everybody and anybody aware of this. From the bottom to the top. I will not stand by and let this man con someone else and I intend to get my Money back one way or the other if it takes a lawsuit and costs more than my down payment so be it. Its going to cost him more. Please if you are interested in a car there have all your birds in a row. Make sure he doesn't do this to you . I'm sure this man has a lot of bad karma coming for him Recently in trouble with the ATF, Has been to prison previous for Rape charges I heard and this info came from car dealers there in mt. Vernon who are good people and see this company for what it is. And Tell you the full Truth.

I was interested in buying a truck from wow, for my girl friend. She found one and I talked to the owner and salesman digested a price and it was all set up. I was selling some land to pay for it. I sent my girl friend in to put a hundred down to hold till closing on land. After she left to go to put down payment the bank called and said the land deal went down. Tried to call girlfriend could not get ahold of her, so I called dealership and told them not to take down payment from her and they said OK. They took money and when I tried to get money back, they refused. I was told there was no refund on down payments even though I called and told them the situation on my money. Hope they enjoyed my money cause they won't get any more. What goes around comes around! BEWARE

Suppose I should clear up the statement I never bought a car from them. I have never bought a car from "HIM". You see, he is not the man who owns that company. He is a person I know. And I know people say he is the owner, but I know he is not. He does have a connection with the owner, and in fact he suggested I go there to buy my Explorer. I am glad I did.

WOW Car Company Beware!

My daughter and son-in-law, newly married, expecting their first child and in need for a car for my daughter to get back and forth to her doctor's appointment, found a car on the company's web site and proceeded to purchase a vehicle. Upon purchase they were refused a copy of the Retail Installment Contract and Security Agreement. They were also never provided a Memorandum of Title and had to pay a second time to get it so that they could register the car. They were also told that the price of the car was $2998 but the contract stated that the price of the car was $5, 000. My daughter and her husband are very young and never purchased a car before. They asked if the $5, 000 figure included all cost and interest and they were told several times that it did. One week later, my daughter and myself had to visit the car dealership and, again, request the Retail Installment Contract and Security Agreement. Unfortunately, I was not with then when they purchased the car but once I review the document, I immediately sent a letter to the company which was drafted by myself, my daughter and her husband, to which I received a call from the Statutory Agent, Max Erwin, Sr. who was very rude, short and told me to never contact him again and that he was going to have me charged with the unauthorized practice of law for simply helping my children write a letter which I signed and they both signed. The letter simply regurgitated the history of the transaction and asked for an amicable resolution. In return, I them received a letter from the alleged owner stating that she forwarded my letter to the Ohio Supreme Court for the unauthorized practice of law along with threats of legal action for slander for anything that I may or may not say on this Complaint Board. Long story short - they do not appear to be willing to address any issues that arise from the conduct of their employees who directly represent the company. I, myself, have purchased several vehicles during my lifetime and have never experience such behavior. Most business are willing to address concerns but they simply make threats of legal action. Very sad. Further, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding the transaction and the company responded that the $2,998 figure on the car was for cash only and that if you had to get a loan, which they did for approximately 2/3 of the amount, then the cost of the car goes up, in their case 60%. This makes no sense since they received a check from the bank for cost of the car. They were not financing the car themselves. Also, the salesman told both of them that since they had a substantial down payment and they seen the car on the internet that he would sell them the car for the cash/internet price. This whole transaction has been a big mess and the children have learned a very valuable lesson. However, I am still hopeful that we will resolve this matter to our satisfaction through the involvement of other governmental agencies and consumer advocacy groups.

I actually experienced the threats of slander and the rude remarks toward me. They told me that I was great and that everything came back looking good on a car that was marked for a good low price after I asked if they went by credit, but they said they didn't and I didn't need a loan or financed because I was paying out of my pocket the down and whatever interests were there and trading my car in for the difference. I just know I was ignored when I called, they said they would call me back and it never happened, so I called them back and asked and they kept asking me to buy another car, but then the day I was going to go get the car that I wanted they said that something went wrong with the one I wanted, but they had another car for a higher down payment and then I spoke to them again with my concerns about them trying to mess me over and saying my credit was too bad and they brought slander up, so I am never going to this car lot. I gave it a try but this place just isn't worth it.

I would like to ask the lady who said her son and daughter i law got ripped off at this wow car lot if she would mind telling everyone how old her son and daughter in law are. I mean, he is old enough to be married, have a child, but not old enough to know how to buy a automobile. Did your son not ask your opinion prior to buying the car? If your son does not understand automobile financing they why did he not consult you prior to signing a contract? And one final question. I spoke to the folks at wow and they told me that your daughter in law's mother was there when they purchased the car, true? Why is she not the one complaining, after all her daughter was one of the buyers was she not? And, who all reviewed and sighed the bank contract? If her mother was present did she not review the documents prior to them signing them? I mean, you are making it sound like these poor little inniconent children were there all alone and were taken advantage of. Can we have the complete story please? Or are you simply trying to destroy the reputation of this business?

Thought after seeing comments about wow car lot I would take a minute to comment on my experience with wow. Like a lot of people I heard a lot of bad stuff about wow. People telling me how they rip people off and I should never consider buying a car there. The problem was my credit was not the best. And, to be honest they just had a lot more cars to pick from than any other used car lot. So, thought I would go check them out myself. And to be honest I am glad I did. I bought a pretty good car, and they got it financed for me at a bank. And they gave me a warranty with the car. And man am I glad they did. I had the car almost six months and started hearing a noise in the motor. The mechanic called the warranty company and they paid to fix my car. Like I said, I dont know how they treated anyone else, but I was treated great. They explained everything to me and treated me very good.
I really dont think they could be as bad as people are saying. I mean, look at how they are growing. They are obviously the biggest used car lot in Mt. Vernon. If they were as dishonest as some people are saying I dont see how they could be so successful. I dont know, just my opionon. Take it for what it is worth.

This complaint is simply not true. I am the owner of WOW Car Co. and if this false information is not removed from this site within 48 hours I will turn this matter over to my attorney as instruct him to pursue any and all legal remedies available to me. WOW Car Co sells more vehicles than any dealer in Knox County, and you didn't get your memo title? Tell the readers about the loan your family had to get. It was a sub prime loan was it not? Any intilligent reader knows what a sub prime loan is and why people have to get sub prime loans. And, if you have proof that your daughter who had to obtain a sub prime loan to purchase the vehicle was told one price and was charged more then why have you not have charges brought against us? After all, it seems you are alleging we have done something illegal.

As for you not getting a title. I welcome ever reader to come to my 602 Harcourt Rd. location and I will be happy to show you a CLEAR title to every car in our inventory. ( Over 125 at this time ) I have all titles to every vehicle and every vehicle is paid for in full. That is to say, unlike most used car dealers, I OWN every vehicle in my inventory.

Enough said. Today is Tuesday October 26th., and the time is 11:38 am. You either remove this false post within 48 hours or I turn this over to my attorney to bring legal action against you. Then you will be required to prove your false allegations in court.

One final statement. We already had to turn you into the Ohio Supreme Court because you sent a letter to our company trying to make us believe you are an attorney. We will also see how that works out for you.

Most people don't realize, but when you are financing a car, you are going to pay alot more then what it says on the window sticker. But there are exceptions, when I walked in they didnt even look at my pay stub, utilitiy bills or anything... I was offered "special" financing (A.K.A. APR out the wazoo). Needless to say, I left the lot and got a van somewhere else.

Oh, and if this tells you anything, the passtime device they put in her car is a GPS unit that tracks the car, and can remotely shut your car down... So basically this girls credit score is so flacky they needed to know where the car was so they could tow it after a couple weeks of not paying.
