Viagogo Basketball match ticket/Refusing to refund me

I bought myself a ticket for Fenerbahce - Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball match which was to take place in Istanbul at 16.11.2023.

Because of the Israeli-Palestinian war, the match was moved to Belgrade and took place there.

Now Viagogo refuse to refund me because they say its postponed.

It is not postponed. It was played, but in another city.

I talked with the customer service 20 times providing them info about it and they keep replying "we are unable to refund we have no information from the organiser"

The info about the order is in the photo I will upload.

Claimed loss: 45 euro

Desired outcome: Refund

Viagogo Sold tickets for a gig that was rescheduled months ago

I bought 2 tickets through Viagogo to see The Dualers at O2 Oxford, UK.

It stated that my tickets were confirmed but I would not receive tickets until 16th September (which is the date I had booked the tickets for). I then went on to the venues website to check details and this gig was not even listed for 16th September. It has been rescheduled to the 4th November (which is a date that I am unable to make).

Viagogo are still advertising and SELLING tickets for this gig that no longer exists.

I have contacted Viagogo through my account to request a refund but have had no response.

I contacted The Dualers, who said that the show has been on the November date for many months now, so why are Viagogo still able to sell tickets?

I was not aware of their reputation but looking at previous complaints, they should be shut down. I will be taking this to Trading Standards as it is falsley selling and illegal.

Desired outcome: I would like to receive a full refund for these tickets that i purchase for a gig that doesn't even exist

The reply I got from your customer care is that we are looking into it still, dont worry you get a refund or another ticket! As per the time line they gave me it should have been resolved yesterday and I get emails to be more patient. I spent money on flights and accomodation. I just want a reply and not wait for the seller to reply to them

Viagogo The weekend concert ticket

The problems I encountered were:

1. Resale process

I purchased The Weekend tickets on 9 March and due to personal reasons I was unable to attend the concert. Due to personal reasons, I was unable to attend the concert and on 16 June, I selected automatic resale using the resale system on the viagogo platform. I successfully sold all the tickets and sent them to the buyer. I did not receive the exact tickets until a few days before the concert on 8 July. I purchased standing tickets and ended up receiving information that the actual tickets were seated tickets, which in turn were standing tickets in the PDF, which seriously misled my understanding of how to process the ticket information. As I was very busy during that time and trusting the platform, I didn't check it carefully. In fact, it was the original seller who provided the wrong tickets.

After the concert, the platform charged me £300.46 for an "incomplete order" and assumed that I had provided the wrong ticket information.

Firstly, I didn't change any of the information on the ticket and secondly, I was wrongly fined because the ticket seller who sold it to me sold me the wrong ticket and I was one of the victims. All the processes were handled automatically by the platform for me, simply because I was the only one tied to a bank card that was automatically debited. It is extremely unfair to ask me, the consumer, to pay for errors that occur in the system and mistakes made by the original ticket seller.

2. Premium and unfair ticket prices

I purchased The Weekend tickets for £204.44. I did not receive the exact tickets until a few days before the concert on 8 July, when the price was shown as £113.80. This is more than double the actual price and seriously undermines the fairness of the sale and the rights of the consumer.

3. Customer Service Inaction

The customer service experience I had when trying to resolve these issues was not satisfactory. They promised on the phone and sent an email confirming that they would cancel the fine for me. But a week has passed and no refund has been received for the cancellation. I have since contacted other customer service on the platform and the representative I spoke with was unhelpful and dismissive and did not offer any viable solutions or alternatives to rectify the situation.

Desired outcome: 1. Financial loss2. Mental and Time Loss

Viagogo Invalid tickets - seats numbers do not exist

Hi - I purchased two tickets for Taylor Swift at Anfield next June via Viagogo. On checking the seats purchased (Row 88, Section U4 - seat 68 and 69) it appears these seats do not exist. I found this out by checking directly with Anfield and them supplying their 3D seating plan - seats 68 and 69 do not show on their plan. I have raised with Viagogo and they have said there is nothing they can do. Clearly they have been the middle man in selling on invalid tickets but are not prepared to give me a refund or investigate the fact the tickets are not real. They are suggesting I can resell (why would I resell invalid tickets) or wait until a week before the actual concert when they will either refund or give me alternative tickets. Why would I wait until a week before the concert when I have to organise travel and accommodation for the concert (we live down South) and I am pretty sure (due to the high demand for the tickets) they will not be able to offer me alternative tickets). All I want is my money refunded and someone to take responsibility they they have not carried out due diligence in selling on the tickets to a third party.

Desired outcome: Please refund

Viagogo Fraudulent sell to sebastian yatra tickets to a concert in Barcelona

Hello, my name is Ana Diaz. I bought a concert ticket to go see Sebastian Yatra in Barcelona on July 11 through StubHub in CANADA (see confirmation email screenshot from StubHub below). I flew to Barcelona and when I got to the concert with my ticket, the organizers scanned it and said that there was an error when scanning the barcode of the ticket given to me by StubHub (see ticket confirmation screenshot below). CLIPPERS had no record of the ticket and they could not find it in their system. They let me know that I had been scammed, that the ticket was fake and that I needed to write CLIPPERS and email so they could provide me with a letter stating that I had been scammed and needed to get my money back (see screenshot of letter by CLIPPERS the official concert promoter in Barcelona). Not only did this cause me a financial lost, but it also cause me great stress at the time. I would like to receive the full payment back for the ticket that I bought as I was denied access to the concert and I had to pend an extra 60 EUROS traveling back and forth fro my Hotel to the venue. my email address is anita. [protected]@gmail.com. Feel free to reach out to me. I have proof of the purchase of the ticket and an official letter from CLIPPERS stating that they denied me access due to having a fraudulent ticket.

Desired outcome: I would like to received a full refund for my ticket OF 169 EUROS (attached is a picture with my payment information) which is about $250 CAN dollars

Viagogo ONLY MIIDEL MEN 100%+++ inflated cost for tickets!! DONT USE!!

In their own words" viagogo is a platform that connects people who want to buy and sell tickets for live events.

Ticket prices are set by sellers and may be above or below face value (the amount the event organizers print on the tickets). You'll see this on our homepage, event pages, and other key areas of the site. We value transparency and make sure to show the final price, which includes any additional feeds, prior to buyers completing a purchase."

Viagogo Viagogo Review: Rollercoaster Ride for Jeff Lynne's ELO Tickets

I gotta tell ya, my experience with Viagogo was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. Let me give you the lowdown.

So, my family of five was super pumped to see Jeff Lynne's ELO in Dublin back in April 2016. I bought the tickets from Viagogo five months in advance, even though they were twice the price of Ticketmaster. But hey, that's just how the market works, right? The real kicker was that we had to travel from abroad, which meant flights, accommodation, and a whole lot of expenses. And Viagogo knew this from day one.

As the show drew closer and closer, I started to get antsy about our tickets. I tried contacting Viagogo through their website, but there was no phone number for buyers to call. So I sent them a bunch of emails, starting four months before the show and continuing right up until two weeks before the show. They always responded politely, but with the same old story: "Don't worry, everything's under control, the seller will deliver the tickets on time."

A few days before our flight, I managed to find Viagogo's phone number on an internet forum and finally got to talk to a representative. But even then, the answers were always the same. They guaranteed that I would get my tickets no later than three days before the show.

I kept nagging them (by email and phone) right up until the day before the show. And then, 24 hours before the show, they dropped the bomb: there were no tickets. Can you imagine how we felt at that point? They offered us five other tickets, but they were way worse than the ones we had originally bought. And they only offered us a measly 175 Euro as compensation. We took the offer, but we were pretty unhappy about it.

On the morning of the show, we finally got our new tickets. But they weren't even five consecutive seats, like we had been promised. To make matters worse, the show was cancelled just two hours before it was supposed to start. Obviously, that wasn't Viagogo's fault. But when I contacted them again, asking for help, they just told me to resell the tickets on their website. That wasn't really an option for me, since I had to leave Ireland the next day.

Here's the bottom line: Viagogo might work fine for 90% of transactions. But when things go wrong, they really drop the ball. The representatives are always polite, but they don't seem to have any sensitivity or understanding of the situation. I mean, couldn't they have bought the tickets back from us once the show was cancelled? I've bought tickets from other companies in the past and never had any issues. I won't be using Viagogo again.

Viagogo Viagogo Review: Terrible Experience with Download Festival Ticket Purchase

So, like loads of other people, I had a really bad time with Viagogo and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I only used them because they promised me a cheap ticket for the Download Festival, which I paid for more than 3 weeks before the event. At first, everything seemed okay - I got a confirmation email saying that I'd be able to download my ticket no later than 3 days before the festival. But that wasn't true. Two days before the festival, I still hadn't heard anything, so I tried to contact them. But it was really hard to find any contact details on their website - I had to look everywhere.

Eventually, I gave up and hoped that they'd get in touch with me. They did, but it was just another confirmation email with a new order number. They didn't explain what had happened to my original ticket, but I guessed that something had gone wrong and they'd had to find me a new one. But that ticket never arrived either. I was really worried because the festival was starting in less than 24 hours. I had to speak to someone at Viagogo, but it was really hard to find a phone number that worked. I had to listen to really annoying hold music for ages before I finally got through to someone. They did eventually give me my ticket, but when I got to the festival, the staff on the gate told me that it was no good because the original buyer had got a refund. I had to call Viagogo again and listen to more terrible music. They gave me numbers for 5 other tickets, but none of them worked either. In the end, I had to get a refund and buy a ticket at the festival box office.

But even that wasn't the end of it. They told me that it would take up to 10 days to get my money back. I thought that was really unfair, so I called them up to complain. They said that it always takes 10 days for a money transfer, but I don't think that's true. I've transferred money before and it's never taken that long. There are loads of other things I could say about Viagogo, but I'm really tired now. All I can say is that you should avoid them if you can.

Viagogo Viagogo Review: A Platform for Ticket Scalpers to Rip People Off

I gotta say, it's a real shame that most folks only think to check out reviews of a company after they've had a bad experience. It's like, why not do your research beforehand and save yourself the headache, ya know? But I digress. Let me tell you about my daughter's experience with Viagogo.

Last October, she and her brothers bought a group of 5 tickets for the Drake concert at the O2. The ticket description was pretty simple, just the block and row. They were celebrating another brother's birthday, who happens to be autistic and doesn't get out much, but loves Drake and was super excited to go. The tickets cost ?101.00 each, plus a booking fee of ?143.46, delivery fee of ?9.95, and VAT of ?28.69, for a grand total of ?687.10.

My daughter thought that with such a hefty booking fee, she was getting some pretty good seats. But when the tickets arrived on February 2nd, just three days before the concert, they were in the "restricted view" section and had a face value of only ?55. The seller had purposefully left out this important detail, and my daughter wouldn't have bought the tickets if she had known.

According to Viagogo's own terms and conditions, sellers are supposed to provide accurate descriptions and details, and not mislead buyers. But when my daughter emailed them to complain, they didn't respond. When she called, they told her there was nothing they could do. I even got in touch with Action Fraud, who confirmed that this was fraudulent behavior, but Viagogo still wouldn't budge.

I called Viagogo myself and spoke to a guy named Geoffrey, who promised to investigate and call me back. He never did. When I called again, I spoke to Marcel, who made me give him all the details again and promised to call me back after talking to the "Executive Customer Care" team in London. Surprise, surprise, he never called back either.

Honestly, it's pretty clear to me that Viagogo is just a platform for ticket scalpers to rip people off. They don't take any responsibility for protecting their customers, and they make it seem like you're buying tickets in a safe and secure market when you're really not. It's just not right.

I've reported this to Action Fraud and I'm going to pursue a refund through the County Court, but it shouldn't have to come to that. Viagogo needs to step up and actually protect their customers like they claim to do.

Viagogo Viagogo Review: Hidden Fees and Customer Service Woes

I gotta say, I had a pretty wild ride with Viagogo. I tried both buying and selling tickets through their site, and let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster.

First off, when I bought tickets for a big futbol match, I was hit with some pretty hefty commission fees that were hidden until the transaction was complete. And even then, I didn't really know what seats I was getting. Viagogo told me I'd get paper tickets a week before the match, but then the venue changed and I had to relist the tickets. Viagogo didn't update the ticket information for the new location, so I had to threaten a credit card dispute just to get them to respond. Eventually, the tickets sold and Viagogo told me they'd redirect them to the buyer. But then they changed the tickets to e-tickets and their online system wouldn't let me upload them for the buyer. I had to email Viagogo multiple times just to get them to confirm what was going on. And even then, I'm not sure if I'll actually get paid for the sale.

Overall, I think Viagogo has some serious issues with transparency and customer service. It's frustrating to deal with hidden fees and unclear ticket information, and it's even worse when you have to jump through hoops just to get a response from their team. I'm not sure if I'll use their site again in the future, but if I do, I'll definitely be more cautious and proactive about making sure everything is clear and in order.

Viagogo Scammed by Viagogo: My Experience with Fake Trevor Noah Tickets

So, my husband bought me two tickets for Trevor Noah's show on December 21st as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, we found out a few days later that the concert was postponed. We tried to contact Viagogo, but there was no phone number available, so we called Ticketmaster instead. They told us that we had been scammed and that our tickets were fake. Apparently, these scammers buy one real ticket from Ticketmaster and make several copies of it, which they then sell online with huge admin mark-up fees. It's unbelievable that we fell for such a scam. We're not even going to be in the UAE next year, so we can't even try to turn up to the venue to find out if the tickets are fake or not. The Ticketmaster guy told us that we would never get our money back, so we're out of luck. I wonder how many other people have bought tickets from this Mr. A Nestorov.

I did some research and found out that Viagogo is under investigation in the UK. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has secured a court order against them, which hopefully will apply in the UAE as well. The court order instructs Viagogo to comply with the law by telling purchasers of tickets if there is a risk that they will be turned away at the door, informing customers which seat in the venue they will get, providing information about who is selling the ticket, not giving misleading information about the availability and popularity of tickets, making it easy for people to get their money back under Viagogo's guarantee when things go wrong, and preventing the sale of tickets a seller does not own and may not be able to supply. Viagogo must also ensure that they do not repeat historic failures to make their customers aware of the face value of tickets on sale through their site.

Andrea Coscelli, CMA Chief Executive Officer, said that this court order is a victory for anyone who decides to buy a ticket through Viagogo. People who use these resale websites must know key facts before parting with their hard-earned money, including what seat they will get and whether there is a risk they might not actually get into the event at all. Viagogo has agreed to a comprehensive overhaul of its site to ensure it respects the law, just like the other resale sites who have already signed commitments to improve the information they offer and give people a fair deal.

This court order is a significant outcome for consumers and must be complied with by mid-January, the same deadline set for other resale sites that have already agreed to change their practices. It has been secured after Viagogo agreed to address all of the CMA's concerns, without the need for a trial. The order is legally binding and enforceable by the court. The CMA continues to work closely with partner agencies and enforcers to drive up standards in the sector.

Conclusion and Recommendation: Overall, Viagogo provides a convenient platform for buying and selling tickets to various events. The website design and user experience are commendable, and the ticket selection is extensive. However, it's important to carefully review the pricing, fees, and refund policies before making a purchase.
