Universal Air & Heat Breach of Contract

This Company is the absolute worse business entity I have ever dealt with. I recently hired them for a completely new central heating and air conditioning system including removal of all old ducting and installation of new ducting. Total charge $10k which I paid. The system is not working properly. The heat does not maintain in the house and the thermostate will be set at 70 and drop down within 30 minutes to 66. So the heat does not maintain. Then I needed 3 new vents installed. They charged $3k for that work and one vent does not work at all. I made at least 15 phone calls and they do not respond. They will answer the phone and take my message and I get their name, but after that, they do not call me back. They siad they would get someone out to look at the vent that is not working, but no one has come out. I plan on taking legal action against this company and it's nefarious Owner and will file a Complaint for Breach of Contract. No one takes advantage of me and/or my money and the

Desired outcome: Please refund $2,000 immediately. If a suit is filed it will be based on treble damages and a jury verdict

Universal Air & Heat Installation of my air-conditioned

It's been over 6 months now and my air-conditioned does not work right. I call them and the women on the phone would tell me that she doesn't get paid to listen to complaints. The pad that the installed for my system is crumbing. The ducts are not connected right, and the air and heat go under the house. The material that they used to seal the system is dissolving and coming off. It is cracking and they just put tape over it. The system is also leaking water. When I do get someone to listen, they make appointments that are not kept. I would recommend that you would not use them for any service

Desired outcome: I would like a to do a proper job for the six-thousand-dollars that I have spent

Universal Air & Heat Air conditioner

Just bought an A/C from this company and it has been broken Twice. I will NEVER do business with this company. Customer Service do not know how to answer the phone no professionalism at all, and management (Charity) need a customer relation training or get fired. She called this morning (veteran day) and after having my A/C fixed (yesterday) she told my husband that we need to pay the bill for $415.00 not sure for what, because there was no estimate just by word) she told my husband that if we don't pay the bill they will come and get the part and put a lean on my house. My husband feels so intimated and threat by this woman that he paid the bill. I will end all my business with Universal Air and Heat. Not only you lost a customer but take in consideration that I’m related to the Military, Veteran and Hispanic community, family and friends and working in the Public relations for Tampa Bay my reviews will not be more than 2. And just because of people like you. YOU don't do that, Thanks God money in my house is not an issue. YOU “ Ms. Charity” do not to talk to customer specially Seniors (maybe you forgot that we pay for your service Its NOT FREE) This is my official note to end all business with Universal Air and Heating, and want the refund of my extended warranty of 2 units, by Monday, November 14, 2022. Or I will keep posting and requesting my refund.

Universal Air & Heat Ait Conditioner and Ducts

We signed a contract on December 30th 2021 to have them install a new air conditioner and ducts. They began in January as promised, however stopped coming. I reached out to them several times, and several times they claimed they would come. The workmen showed up in Mid January for 10 minutes, left and never came back. Reached out again, and the customer service guy saud he was embarrassed and would send out a guy for Thursday. Never showed. Called again prmised Saturday, even followed up on Friday, again never showed. We are fed up and they are a disreputable company. Thinking of seriously suing them!

Universal Air and Heat stink! Don't use them!

Desired outcome: To fix and install AC and Ducts already, or give us our money back and we will go elsewhere. This is ridiculous!

Universal Air & Heat refused to honor warranty

Stay away from this company!
During our one year full warranty we had an intermittent clicking noise that happened every 3-6 weeks coming from the air handler closet. The techs were out several times throughout that time and misdiagnosed the problem by replacing the wrong part. They came out again after replacing the wrong part but the unit was not making the sound at the moment. I even showed them 3 different videos of the noise. Now that my full warranty is up, they want to charge me almost $900 in labor to replace the faulty part that should have been replaced in the first place under the full warranty. Management still has not called me back. It's been two weeks. Worst business practice I've ever experienced.

Universal Air & Heat ac repair

They cam to my unit and told me that I needed a new pipe from the roof to my unit for 765. They inspected it and it only needed a pipe resoldered that took and hour and about 30 in parts. They still charged me 765...I contacted them. First they said it was becasue freon was 100 per lb. But my system takes puron at 5 per lb. Then they told me it took hours. But the camera on my doorbell says one hour...

Universal Air & Heat a/c duct cleaning - platinum package

Ordered the Platinum Package. Technician hooked up vacuum to an air supplier but would not clean out each air duct, as advertised. Would not clean the duct covers as advertised. Would not honor the senior citizen discount. Said they had right to substitute another service. Free inspection said to have found severe mold in air handlers. Showed alleged photo. Would not send me the photo as promised. Company followup tech could find no mold in air handlers. Tech said to apply Poly Propylene sealer. Followup tech never heard of the product and could not find it to apply. Charged $866 and hour. Very very expensive poor service. If you still use them, recommend signing paper copies only. To sign an IPAD may mean your signature may be moved to other documents you may not have seen. I signed one document and later found it present on two other documents via some kind of electronic transfer.

Please do not call this company for any issues with your AC. I had an incident with one of the employees that was sent out to come do a 21 point unit analysis, which is advertised for $18.00 plus a $7 travel fee, so $25 total. Universal Air & Heat discusting and discriminating business practices

While sitting in this company's office I was a witness to a prominent member of the staff speaking in a derogatory way about a customer who had been bargaining with him. The customer wanted a lower price and this young man (who looked like he was a hoodlam) said a very derogatory slur toward members of the Jewish faith. It was distressing to hear someone speak in such a defamatory way so freely in front of other people. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere! I have to also add that every person who worked in that office gave me the feeling that they would not be honest people to deal with.

came into my unit and quoted 765 because they said I needed a new pipe from the roof to my unit. Instead they fixed a leak on the roof which took an hour and recharged my unit which used 30 dollars of gas. But they still charged me 765.

I work at Universal Air and Heat and can assure you there is no-one here that looks like a hoodlum. We are all professionally dressed in either proper office attire or uniforms. B.T.W. I am 54 year old woman of the Jewish faith and no one here is racist. I take this comment as a personal attack against my self, my co-workers and our professional staff. I think that comment is a false comment put up by someone who works at one of our competitors and I think I know who it is.

Universal Air & Heat This company is a scam!

Overnight the contactor on our A/C unit outside shorted out causing the unit to continually run even though the air handler inside the house was off. I called Universal Air in the morning and they sent a technician out in the afternoon. After removing the access panel from the outside unit, he quickly diagnosed the bad contactor and informed me that he can replace it for $250. He also said I probably need Freon for another $100. Being somewhat handy and seeing that there was no way that part with labor can cost that much, I quickly did an Internet search for pricing. I found the part at a local supply store for $28! I told the tech. no thanks and he gave me a bill for $34 for the service call.

It took me about 2 minutes to remove the old part; 20 minutes round-trip to pick up the new part and 2 minutes to install it. In less than 30 minutes and for $30 I accomplished what they were going to charge me $250 for!

This was actually the second time I had them out to the house. The first time they charged me $300 to clear the drain line and clean the coil. I now feel as though I was ripped off then as well.

Both times, the technician was adamant that I need a whole new system and they would do the job for around $3, 500!
