I am constantly being harassed daily via calls, text and email from UEI for payments that are being made already . It’s like they want double the money . They threaten to take money from me and call from multiple different fake numbers . It’s starting to become stressful and irritating because my voicemail is full every morning . Starting to cause me to miss important messages . Is there ANYTHING that can be done ! Please Help !

I studie at UEI chula vIsta and graduated from the dental assistant program with good grades, I was told that if I had any problems they will be there to help me. In my search for a job, I was told by the Dr's that I was too old for this type of jobs and that they didnt believe that this school trains the students properly because in the past they have had a los of problems. I called and went several times to UEI looking for help but they always seem to not care... I got depressed and discouraged just thinking that I graduated from a career that was not fitted for me... my initial thought was why do I let UEI convince me that this was the right choice for me, when I really want to became a medical assistant? I used the money I didn't have to became somebody not accepted by the field... and now worse drown in school debt, ready to garnish my wages!

I am complaining because I feel as thought I did not get what I paid for here at UEI.

They did not advise me that Books were online. - They also never stated how I am able to obtain those book further down in my career.

At the extern meeting in the packet, It asked me specifically what area I wanted to go into only to be told that "that area was off limits, because 'the Instructor" didn't want any one in her business".

I am also disappointed in the lack of communication presented. No one followed up on the Graduation process. Career services was to start working with me on a specific timeframe, I had to call them to set up the appointment. They send text messages out and no one knows who I'm supposed to talk to.

It was months before I even knew who I was working with. Till this day I don't know who my Career services help is.

About a month into my extern I started to feel some type of way because I am not learning what I thought I would.

The site is manageable but this is not what I am looking for in my future employment. I am going into Real estate. I asked to be at a Reality company.

I’m emailing you regarding “Andre Coffman” I worked at florin rd UEI In Sacramento California…. This is not a retaliation email. This is a help me email. I recently was let go from the company that I tried months to get into. And after 9 months I was let go for know reason, my numbers were right I never called in and I never was late but that’s not why I’m sending this. ANDRE COFFMAN Is a very disrespectful man, He talks to us like we are not human, he curses at us. And it’s really scary to a lot of us.. it’s a very hostile work environment, me and a few others we’re going to decide on how to take the necessary measures on seeking legal actions against him, and someone decided that I emailed you first. And the person who told me to email you is another higher up lady who still currently works at that location UEI, I don’t want to give out names because I don’t want any retaliation done to me nor them who are still working there Andre Coffman needs to be stopped. I understand firing people because they’re not meeting your expectations but his expectations are unreal. They’re set up knowing you’re going to fail because they cannot be met. Realistically, he has been in a power trip for the past month nobody there will speak up. Everyone is afraid of either losing their job or him doing something to them and I say that because the look in his eye when he’s yelling at us screaming at us, or cursing at us or even talkin to us in a way that is extremely disrespectful is “mentally scarring” I sat here for two weeks. Debating if I should send this email or not or just let it go. But my anxiety is not doing so great because of him. I can have 10 other people also sent emails even voice recordings of him being disrespectful to them, and their experiences with him. I know personally of a person whose husband still wants to go up there and do something to him because of how ANDRE COFFMAN talked to his wife. So I am sending this email with hopes that you will find a way to stop this man before something bad happens. Should we send text messages to show you? He had also been texting one of the young students and she told somebody that she can find in there about the situation. He paid her to leave so she did, but didn’t leave quietly at least four of us knows about it. I will wait on your response or to see if his attitude changes if nothing is done about the situation I will hire a legal team and bring those cameras there. Something have to be done. He is definitely not. What do you want representing that company and if you don’t believe me just call random employees who are still currently employed and ask them their opinions I guarantee you 100% they’ll all say the same things.

This school is really not worth it, it does not comply with what they tell you at the beginning, it is scam, I am currently doing my extern in a place where I did not even choose, one of my classmates had to find a site by himself because the careers services don't do their job. I've heard that you can't graduate if you don't pay off your loans first. I would like to start a process against them, if someone knows how to start, give me information. If the lawsuit is still going on, please contact me ASAP, I attended there Jacksonville, FL location in 2011 for Medical Asst. and the lost their accreditation in [protected] I never received my diploma due to employees in the "extern office" stated that because they lost their accreditation, they could not give me my diploma after completing my extern hours. Years later I found out that this had been a lie, because I had been enrolled and attending classes while they had their accreditation, I was eligible to receive my diploma. No matter when I completed my extern hours. So, when I learned this, I found out the Jax, FL school had closed so I contacted the main administration office in CA, well they told me I waited to many years, and they couldn't issue me my diploma. All they had to do was pull up my school transcripts and I could easily email them my W2 from the employer (doctor's office) I worked for in 2012 and saw that I completed way more hours than they needed to cover my extern hours. Nope they didn't do that! They said sorry not our fault we don't owe you anything, just make sure you pay your student loans. It was their campus, their employees that screwed up not me I faxed my paycheck stubs with my hours to that office and they just threw it away. I called them as well to confirm that it was received and that's when the whole mess started but they did tell me they had gotten them. So UEI I'm owed a diploma I completed everything it's your staff's responsibility to keep track of the hours turned in not mine or any other students.

TITLE: Difference between UEI - Chula Vista campus vs. ME

I received an email today from two different individuals from UEI - Chula Vista campus. One individual stated that they had made several attempts to contact me. I was asked if I could come in today in one of the emails. I reply no is the answer to your question. One of the two individuals stated: "No problem. I will be dropped from college by midnight. I replied: I guess that I will be dropped by midnight. There is no need for you to bother me."

ANALYSIS:

- I have two forms of communication. I did provide two forms of communication - cellphone and email. They only made several attempts by telephone. The only communication that I received from UEI - Chula Vista campus is an email today. I have not received any form of communication from the college since June 22, 2022.

- ME: "UEI - Chula Vista campus did not make a strong attempt to contact me. UEI - Chula Vista campus relied heavily on the telephone as the primary means of communication."

- ME: "UEI - Chula Vista campus did not exercise good use of time when a critical due date approaches. - decision to continue the relationship and service between one another."

- This is a "troubled college." I have experienced troubled college in the past. I am only a number and a student with the potential to pay. Troubled colleges lack customer service expertise. I have been in customer service for over 20 years.

- ME: "Troubled College is a sign of caution from personal experience. A discontinued relationship and services are the best option. Between the two parties, no one wants to waste time and resources." — FINAL ME: — I am upset about this. I felt that when a student goes through hardship. UEI - Chula Vista did not know how to respond and offer any service for the student's success while attending."

BEST PRACTICE:

- The email should be been written more friendly tone. UEI - Chula Vista did not truly disclose much information regarding the school process regarding attendance - on non-campus days.

- The email should have written: UEI - Chula Vista campus needs you to come in today because your standing with the college is in jeopardy. The due date was issued today for today being the cut-off date. I know this is short notice. I want to resolve this matter, and we like to continue to have you as a student here at UEI - Chula Vista campus.

Was attending the school the beginning of this year and last year in debt for 19,000 invested in two schools one in Ontario and the other in Huntington Park I have not never received anything no financial aid anything and I’m just trying to figure out how can I get rid of this debt as well and how can I also do a lawsuit with this school issue

It’s been more than ten years and still to this date I never worked in a dental office I went to UEI CHULA VISTA and classes were so unprofessional teachers subs in and out and also their own teachers would leave their job. I tried reaching for a couple of years and got not help from no one and on top of that I have debt from my student loans they take advantage of low income families like my Myself was promised a job “career” in dental assisting and what did I get nothing waste of time money and now in debt owe student loans and it’s not fair for a single mom of 4 kids to go through and stress about paying that money back

I attended United Educational Institute in Morrow, Ga in 2010 and I attended the Medical Assistant Program. I was told that I would have a job once the courses was completed. I NEVER received any employment and I could find a job in the Medical field. Companies want you to have 2 yrs, experience in Medical Assistant. I was terrible mislead and I owe 16, 000 dollars in student loans. I would never recommend this school to anyone.

I enrolled in this school in 2016 for the Medical Billing and Coding Program. I was informed of the duties, salary, and growth as a medical biller and coder and because of the salary, I decided to go ahead with this program. As the classes progressed and we (the students) began to question when we would start learning about billing and coding, we asked the instructor. She informed us that she was not hired to teach medical billing and coding and laughed at us because she thought we were joking about the class we actually thought we signed up for. Everyone in the class was informed that it was a billing and coding program but in reality, we signed up for a program for medical office receptionists! I did not need to spend 4 hours everyday for MONTHS and get into so much debt to become a medical office receptionist. At the time, I had a good job with great financial growth but because I was promised a career in medical billing and coding and it's respective salary, I decided to go with this "career." I would have NEVER enrolled in this "college" had I been fully informed and had they been transparent about the program. Not to mention, they never informed me that the loans would be paid out to them directly. That alone would have raised a red flag for me.

Hello my name is Isabel Hernandez and I am just popping in to bring it to everyone's attention how much of a scam UEI college is. Regardless maintaining my attendance and grades and even offering my time as a student ambassador I was scammed I was two payments late during my internship that lasted four months. They sent me to corporate collections and now I am not able to graduate or receive my certificate without paying a one time payment of $3000 I had two little babies and I am not able to afford that so therefore I have paid monthly and taking our student loans and left and debt without a certificate. Such a waste of time And effort.!

I graduated from the CST program in 2008 and was not given any sort of assistance the entire time I was attending, which was a 9 month period. They stated that they would find an internship for me while attending which they never did. I never received a diploma, was not given an actual day of graduation and had no assistance in finding work as promised. This school is a sham and I can't even purchase a home because of the blemish that's been put on my credit from UEI. Someone please help!

I was enrolled in March of 2010. I was only looking for information but the lady in charge if enrollment insisted I sign up for a quick meeting to just check it out and tour the school Not knowing until later that I had basically signed up, as it was her slick way of saying "orientation". (Note: this course was a 15, 000 plus their fee. My grant was around $5, 500 and all in all my balance at the time was around $9, 500.) For the first month I would visit the enrollment office and ask them to let me transfer out, get my refund (as I was able to qualify for federal aid), and go to a different school. At first they said they would get back to me, then again, the same eventually they said give it a shot you still have some time to make up your mind. (30 days from original date, this was about a week before grace period was over). ON THE 30TH DAY, I had finally met the main head of the enrollment department and was basically told that my grace period was up and that I could either continue to work hard and graduate, "make my moneys" worth or I could drop the class transfer but would lose out on my government grant. It was a nine month course and I had started on March 18 2010 and graduated roughly between December 4 2010- December 10 2010. I went ahead and decided to "get my moneys worth" and continued with my massage therapy program. There were a total of 3-4 Massage therapy teachers including my teacher and roughly 4 classes per schedule one in the morning course one day course and one night course. Eventually it got to the point where teachers were being let go from the massage therapy department and eventually the classes started getting smaller. Around August of 2010 was started seeing the last of the students come in. One day, these higher ups from administration and the "principal" of the school came to our class and told us they were going to discontinue the massage therapy program and it was being talked about since the beginning of the year in January. When we asked why we were not told about the discontinuation of the program, they started giving us the run-around and when we asked about our refund, they told us we could either finish and graduate or fail and get nothing. We were forced to graduate and finish the program but when it came to out graduation we received no graduate robes or ceremony. Until this day I am still waiting on my original certification as I was only given a copy because they "ran out of graduation paper". When it came to looking for a job they were of no help and once your were graduated their resources were even less as you were expected to start your first payment six months after graduating. A few years after I graduated the school at my location was shut down now there are only 1 if not 2 UEI Colleges in San Diego. I wen to the school in Kearny Mesa off Aero Dr and Kearny Villa Rd.

Do not go here, they will paint a promising picture but please read the complaints and reviews on them first it's still happening to students and I've seen how a lot of single moms get screwed over by this school. It seems they have been getting away with scamming people at first day but then trapping you after two weeks and tell you In a hostile manner that even if you try to drop after two weeks that you will owe all that money whether you continue education or not.This is the laziest school and you have to teach yourself. If you read a lot, do your work and teach yourself then you will also need to correct the so called "instructors" half the time. Some are not professional & will argue with you when you ask them to double check answers you know they graded wrong because they skimp through the book and blame not going through it all because there's only a small time period til graduation but the book doesn't lie and don't expect you to question them or the way they teach. This school literally feels like a continuation to high school more like grade 13 if there was one because it's always dirty and their equipment in the labs are missing, broken or just not there so can't even do lab work and just paperwork so when you find a job placement the "hands on" part isn't there or as good as employers expect you to be so you feel defeated getting in debt for poor to nonexistent education . The recruiters are very pushy about having to sign up "now" to qualify for a special discount (don't believe them they said the same to everyone I know who went there but there was no change it's all just talk)what you are taught is limited, you don't even get to use all the books provided to you because they don't teach in a diversified manner and will not challenge you & will give you the answers to a tests prior to taking it because they are too lazy to challenge students or don't trust them to grasp how or what they teach. They are driven by attendance and will emphasize on that more than grades but I'm assuming that's the only way they get funds to keep that school running. The job placement people are non-existent rude and will not follow up with you and you do more work hunting them down to do their jobs so you end up having to find jobs on your own and you will take any job to come your way that isn't even your field just to pay bills.I've been to city colleges for other majors and even visited universities my family and friends attend and compared to everything I've experienced in a classroom setting I don't know why or how this school is still getting away with this little "hush hush" scam they have going on. You will be harassed and scolded for attendance even after you feel trapped by them knowing you are teaching yourself and yet they are pushing you to still come to a classroom that doesn't teach you more than you already know or could grasp on your own, to watch a movie not even related to work or just to listen to the teacher give you answers for tests and not even teach you the spelling or pronunciation to words your field requires you to know, I went for pharmacy tech so knowing pronunciation and spelling to medicine is important but we didn't get tested on spelling or pronunciation; we just got tested on the order the answers were given to us for the spelling test the day prior to the test.* Do not go here *they need to get shut down, so many people I know are in debt along with myself because of this school and all we wanted was fast or higher education than what we had but got entrapped and screwed in the end.Please look into this school and if anyone is taking action please email me I'd like to join.

I started externship February 23rd did not get placed at a site for about 4 weeks after the site that I was first placed at was not even a site it was a person renting a space I was moved again to a sleep tech center him and sent to sleep Susie did not send my contract over for liabilities so the lady told me not to come back the next day then I was placed at la Palm family practice it was not a good fit it was for bilingual people I do not speak Spanish and I was unable to communicate with the patients or anyone else at that sort.
