The National Lottery I haven't won the prize – it was lie

I received the email from The National Lottery. It was mentioned that I won about $500, 000, but it wasn’t true. I have never played the lotteries and I haven’t provided my personal info to these jerks. They simply wanted to fool me and get money as well. These jerks also posted fake contact info, so please stay away from them and post comments about them.

Dear Ali,

Thank you for your e-mail. Please note that what you are referring to is certainly a scam (http://www.imf.org/external/scams.htm).

The IMF's transactions and operations are carried out directly with its member countries. Thus, it does not guarantee, sponsor or endorse investment programs, nor does it approve projects for capital investments or endorse activities of any private entity.

We would also like to point out that the IMF name has been invoked in a number of fraudulent transactions. The IMF has sought to warn the public about the unauthorized use of the name of the IMF in connection with illegal financial schemes. Attached for your information is a copy of a Press Release dated July 14, 2006 on this subject.

http://www.imf.org/external/np/sec/pr/2006/pr06154.htm

Furthermore, please see the following link, a US Treasury release which also warns about fraudulent emails. http://www.treas.gov/press/releases/js1130.htm

Please also check this website to report internet fraud: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Best regards,
IMF Webmaster

I think this answer is meant to deceive and Fraud And correct me if I begin the process of financial regulation that you've introduced me. This was my reason for protest and dissent.
I have a few questions
1. Deposit amount of $ 2, 500, 000 it really exist ?
2. If this is true, why was not sent a copy of the document is deposited with the depository to assure me, considering that I asked to send the document as respects deposit ?
3. Do emails, and Directors in the following is true or not ?
Surveillance.teamunit@gmail.com (financial Surveillance Team )
Vinalsjose@blumail.org (Mr.Jose Vinals, Financial Counselor and director of the International Monetary Fund )

Three years down the road and the same has appeared in Grenada, West Indies.
Same postal address in Croydon. Same pack of lies. Same poor attempt at making it look authentic. These people should be hung out to dry, feeding on the desperation of relatively poor people.
Shocking.
It begs the question why they are still able to do this.

Yeah this is useful stuff.I almost got taken in by this and did some last-minute research and found this site. The batch number I got was identical to the one stated there exept for the last two numbers-
(1) One state on complaint = EGS/[protected]/08

(2) Mine = EGS/[protected]/10

I think somebody should do something about these cheaters. The main regret is I didn't find this site sooner and I already sent my info lol.I also wish i had a printer and a scanner to show full details of this scam.

There are literally THOUSANDS of these phony lottery scams out there--mostly stemming from Nigeria, but saying they are from: UK Natl. lottery, netherlands e-mail lottery, Microsoft, Coke-a-cola, etc...

Just mark it as junk or spam, or report it as a phishing scam, and ignore them. These are just stupid, worthless, lazy rubbish people who are afraid to get off their bums and get an actual JOB, like the rest of us must do.

the lottery organization po box liverpool l70 inl that i have won us4.6 million and quite frankly it probably is a scam but they produce a website that seems quite authentic, they say that if i pay someone in dubai united arab emirates 250 us dollars that my claim will be processed and the certified cheque will be processed within 74 hours and on their website they include a tracker to inform you of the progress of that cheque. when i requested a phone number to establish this claim it was inoperative, so obviously this is pretty much a scam. altho i got to say the website they produced seemed quite authentic. i would like your comments . mike morgan

9) Winning Certificate Number: UK/9876125

Note that there exists a periodic condition on all claims process; therefore you have limited time to claim your winnings. Failure to claim your winnings within the stipulated time frame will lead to the forfeiture of your winnings after which your winnings remitted back to the United Kingdom National Lottery Headquarters and will then be added to next winning draws. Also kindly be aware that the United Kingdom National Lottery winning prizes are regulated by the Financial Services Authority and as a result, you are advice to follow the Lottery Claims Terms and Conditions to ensure the remittance of your prize to you within the stipulated time of the claiming of winnings.

Further to this, due to some recent miss-up of some winning numbers, as a Prize winner and according to the United Kingdom National Lottery Terms and Conditions, you are only privy to your winnings informations and your winnings transfer information in order to avoid any form of double claiming and misappropriation of your winnings, hence the release of your winning informations to a third party (friends and family members inclusive) is absolutely ruled out as this will lead give room to double claiming by a third party which is against the United Kingdom National Lottery Terms and Conditions. You are hereby advice to keep your winning information personal from any third parties (friends and family members inclusive) until your winnings have been remitted to you.

Lastly, I will require a concise update on your proceedings with the Agency that will be handling the transfer of your winning. If you need any assistance whatsoever from this office, please do not hesitate to inform me.

Yours Sincerely,
Mr. Robert Gooch.
Accredited Fiduciary Agent.
