i have a 3 year old son with a very rare and severe seizure disorder.He is fed strictly with a feeding tube and shows signs of aspirations . He does not walk, talk, chew, crawl and has very limited vision and hearing . Since his diagnosis over one year ago he has been threw several anti-seizure meds and is presently on three different meds twice daily and even with all the meds he will still have up yo 50 or more seizures in a day . Peters most recent emergency happened three weeks ago when he suffered seizure and stopped breathing and didnt start again i administered cpr while my wife called 911, neither of us have any medical experience . My insurance company gave us a nurse to have in the home for 8hrs a day 7 days a week this was done back in june before Peter had a feeding tube, was aspirating and more importantly before his seizures were stopping him from beathing .Since all these other things started and peter has gotten increasingly more involved all of the mrdical professionals that are involvedin peters case have all written letters asking to please increase peters nursing hours because he needs constant monitering .So we called our insurance rep (joany jones) and gave her all this new info and three days later we recieved a phone call from ms. jones saying not only were we denied any extra nursing but they decided to go back on there previous decision and also cancelled the 8 hrs we were supposed to have for at least 6 months . Peter needs medical supervision we dont want to put him in a home but we need somebody here that can help us when he seizures and stops breathing .please Don't let them get you ?
