Takealot Trustworthy and reliable

Takealot does not fail to please. They notify you by email about sales and discounts and have flash sales with items going for 70% off etc. Once an item was out of stock after I already ordered and paid for it and they emailed me the next day and asked if I would like a Takealot voucher worth what I paid for the item or they would refund me in full. I even bought my laptop from them and it was delivered safely. Keep it up Takealot!

Takealot Phenomenal, fastest ever and reliable

This online shopping site is by far my favourite since its inception, it has gotten progressively better and more efficient as time goes by. There are some great deals to grab always for every occasion and various items you need. Usually, the estimated day of delivery is met a day before and I have always been impressed with how quick and efficient they deliver on time. They keep you posted and updated and at any time can go and track the status of your shipment. Payments and reward bundles make it an ideal way to pay via different channels, such as ebucks etc. The packaging is always impressive and care is given to each and every product to ensure that it is handled with care.

Takealot Missing Items

I ordered from Takelot - [protected], immediately after the driver left i informed her that there are missing items and tried calling the Call Centre of which there were no answer, so sent an email from the Takealot system as the driver informed.

PS the driver did scan the barcodes on the boxes when she delivered my order and unfortunately i threw the boxes away as who keeps open boxes lying all over.

There is an Ezviz Camera and Google Chromecast missing in my order and the feedback i got is that all items were delivered and that there are no missing items just because i cant provide the pictures of the barcodes.

This is stealing and no one in the company wants to work or assist you. why doe you guys waist 10 mins of my time to scan the barcodes upon delivery's and then have no record of it.

Its [censored], i want my items or my money back! you guys are lying!

i wil never ever ever in my life order from Takelot again.

Good day, i have now phoned the Call Centre, i have logged an email and was dealing with Dimpho.

On Sunday when my order was delivered , not 2 mins after the driver left i phoned her saying there are items missing in my parcel, is there still a box that she missed and she advised no there is not and i need to send an email of which i did.

Please be advised that we have received feedback and it was confirmed by the warehouse and our delivery department that your order was delivered with all the items and that there were no missing items.

This is totally unacceptable, the TV Screen came in the TV box, the Daisy came in the Dash box and one Takealot box, of which i threw away as on Monday it is Dustbin day. The boxes with the barcodes were scanned upon delivery by the driver so how do you guys not have record of this.

Who keeps the box, so now i cant get my missing items because of a stupid box i did not keep. why are you guys then scanning the barcode and taking 10 min of my time to scan the barcode upon delivery.

I want my missing items or i want my money back, you guys are stealing from me!

I will not leave this matter here, i want my stuff that i paid for.

The lady at the Call Centre did not want to give me a email or contact number, so can the person in charge give me a call ASAP.

Takealot Poor service delivery

In my recent experience shopping with takealot, the frustration and irritation to try and contact this company regarding defective product received 4 times and exchanged 4 times.

I have come to the conclusion, these are cheap Chinese knock off imports Yet advertised as new products.

The refusal for the company to call me to resolve the issue will provide a direct contact number to voice my complaints is unbelievable.

The entire complaint section is hidden behind filtered numbers and uncooperative individuals that will continue to frustrate you hoping that you will go away with the problem. A total lack of transparent communication with the client.

Not to mention the obvious problem, when Takealot schedules of delivery, the common sense to apply a simple phone call to establish whether you will be at the location to receive the parcel does not exist, they given timeframe of a day is unprofessional, no one sits at home waiting for them to deliver a parcel. For myself waiting for the fifth time to receive a product which I have exchanged over and over again is unacceptable and a waste of time. It leads want to believe you don’t need a brain cell to work for take a lot

My Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G Single Sim 256GB - Graphite (Ref. [protected]) was returned due to a defect and fell into the after 6-month guarantee. On 2 Apr 2024 I received this feedback: "The supplier has advised that your (ITEM) has been replaced". After this, I am still waiting for my phone. The supplier received the return on 9 March 2024. So, 09 March 2024 to today 15 April 2024 and still waiting, not acceptable. Thank you.

Takealot Takealot Warehouse CPT2

My products dimensions are correct on the system and your system is allocating the deliveries to the warehouse according to your policies and procedures. We can't choose which warehouse to deliver to. My items gets rejected because of the dimensions which is not suitable for the warehouse and must be redirected which we can't do because the system tells us where to go and can't decide. This is now the 2nd time and everytime the customers are not getting there products on time because of this procedure. No one can help me to get this problem sorted and at this stage all my deliveries to CPT2 is being rejected and I am making a loss on all those products.

Hii purchased a cell phone and you delivered a cheap cela a that was never added. This was mid February I returned the phone on. The 14th you have not refunded me you declined your own item telling me that you do not sell what you have given me..

Takealot Wrong Product delivered on 2 occasions

Morning, I ordered i5 mini pc's, they delivered but with wrong power supplies. So instead of just swopping power supplies, I had to re-send the whole order back.

They credited my account and I had to place another order paying in an extra 2k for the next order. Needles to say, they delivered i3 mini pc's, not what I ordered. Now I have to return again. I am opening a Vodacom Chatz store and this just put a delay on opening this store? Not happy with this service at all.

Takealot No response and awaiting refund(s)

I bought an office chair from Takealot which after using for a few days was rock hard and made a noise. I communicated with the support at Takealot and were advised to disassemble it, put it in ANY secure box and hand it over to the courier who came to pick it up.

The response was that the item was not in it's original box and had been used. I acted on their instruction. Since my first communication, no one is responding to my emails.

Secondly I purchased computer speakers and to receive free delivery I added more items which I usually would buy at the supermarket or pharmacy. A day before the delivery was to take place, I was advised that the speakers are not available... When I browsed it was indicated that there were "only 4 left". Now they want to deliver the items I don't really need from them and give me a Takealot credit for future purchases... No thank you! I'll buy somewhere else from now. I want my money back, in my account!

Afternoon

Last year in September 2023 I ordered KICHEN RUG (Kx2p) I received a wrong design when return (08.09.2023) when they came to collect, I was off sick they refused to take it back .its still in the office original wrapping very ugly.

Last week I received shoes ( Lolliz Goldern Heels) who are big on me am told they've been won but the heels are clean only the front part is dirty surely that's how they were sent to me.

Takealot Return

I had purchased a cellphone for my Patner for Valentines day. I have been saving for 4 months for this, I received the parcel on the 13th. It was left by the gate and I had not agreed to any of that. I don't even know the people that had my parcel. It was cheap cheap phone that was in the box. I gave it back and they are now telling me that don't even sell the product.

Takealot 80cm flame weed killer torch

I bought an item aforementioned which I collected on the 9th of November 2023. On the 2nd of December 2023 I did successfully lodge an item return request and a QR code and a pin we sent to me. The item was not functioning and as a result requested replacement. On the 6th of December 2023 I did take the item to the Pietermaritzburg branch. The person who was manning the front desk (whom I have learned was a driver) told me that the return code was not reflecting as yet advised me to leave the item with him. I have been making follow ups regarding the status of the returned item since I requested replacement since the 29th of December. Both the head office in Capetown as well as the Pmb branch have been promising to make a follow up and revert back after a number of emails I have been sending. I am therefore requesting intervention before I take the matter to the consumer council and other structures who will be able to deal with my case.

When I bought the product last year March 2023 the power stayed on for about 2 and a half to 3 hours during load shedding.

Takealot Product

I bought an ink combo for my new printer through takealot and product was delivered on 1 November 2023. The ink combo Cost over R2300. I inserted the ink cartridges and have not printed more than 500 pages to date and black ink is saying Low replace cartridge. How is this possible. Last printer I used it for over 2 years before I needed to replace the ink

I am not it happy with this.

It is super expensive and I expect it to last as per their promises.
