Summerbay Resorts travel package

purchased a promotional package 5 days 4 nights orlando and 5 days 4 nights Cruise bahamas and stay. I understood I had to pay for taxes and port charges. They toldm me and amound that I found expensive. When I enquired the port taxes and fees according to the Crusie line was $150.00 less per person then what they were asking me for. When I enquired further they told me things had changed from when I had purchaased and I had to pay for the accomodations in the Bahamas which was not part of the deal. When I asked for a refund they put me through the legal department and he then stated that the amount quoted was part of the contract with the cruise line. Every time I called thay lied about my package. Everytime I called they changed their story. Stay away

Summerbay Resorts SCAMMING

Thursday night working on internetmessage appears"won a holiday to summerbay resorts". Without hesitance I went and phoned them. It took all my airtime to phone them. When I told the "manager" that I did not have a visa card he told me to phone on friday. I went out of my way to get all the info they neededd. So when I phoned back they kept putting me on hold. So I went on to the web and found that I was not logged in as a resort customer. The people who want to play pranks on others should grow up and take lessons from proffesionals that do post real competions. If anyone can take thses scammers of the net it would be a better internet to work on. Anyone with same complaints should really post a complaint.

Hi

On the 15th of October 2010, I had a flashing box on my laptop saying i had won $3000 in paid travel expenses. I have been notified that this is a scam. $99.00 has been taken from my bank account as a deposit for a package. This package is very misleading and so were the telemarketers Lamonte Fisher and Rebecca Clark failing to explain all of the terms/conditions and inclusive charges. I have tried calling various telephone numbers using area codes. All of the numbers are invalid. I was given a customer number 402UK101410. I have 10 days to cancel this agreement and have been calling every number possible. I tried to print off the cancellation policy on your website and was not succesful. I do not wish to procede with this agreement i have tried to send a e-mail however the e-mail address is also invalid. I would appreciate conformation that you have recieved this. I will take further action if necessary.

Summerbay Resorts Fraud

My wife and I received an invitation for a free week in Florida with SummerBay Resorts. We scheduled our trip in July of 2007 and purchased a vacation package for $2900. This package included 30, 000 RCI points, a cruise, and three stays at SummerBay Resorts.

The 30, 000 RCI points was promised to provide a dream vacation to remember. They said that most vacations could be booked within 45 days of our vacation for as little as 9, 000 points allowing us 2-3 great vacations. SummerBay promised to activate our points by July 1st, 2008 so that we could plan a 2008 summer vacation. They did not have our points activated until after August 1st, 2008...too late to book a vacation before the kids went back to school. Disappointed we scheduled (and paid for privately) another vacation to the Outer Banks of NC.

With our RCI points activated through SummerBay we called yesterday (01/13/09) to schedule our dream vacation for the summer of 2009. RCI told us that summer vacations usually book up a year in advance and that scheduling a vacation within 45 day of travel is highly unlikely unless they have a rare cancellation. Furthermore, most summer time vacations in the United States and abroad require significantly more than the 30, 000 points that RCI sold for our "dream" vacation. RCI was very helpful, to the extent that they could be, and apologetic for the inconvenience and misrepresentation of SummerBay Resorts.

All said and done, we were able to find and book one (1) resort that had availability for our family for under 30, 000 RCI points during the summer of 2009. For the $2900 we spent with SummerBay and an additional $139 booking fee with RCI we get to vacation in DeBois, Pennsylvania. We live in OHIO!

FLEE SummerBay like your hair is on fire. You WILL lose your money, you WILL be disappointed, your promised "dream" vacation WILL be a disaster! PLease share this story with everyone that you know to protect those that you care about.

I was told that if I attended a 90 minute presentation that I would receive to show tickets for a Las Vegas Show. I was kept for almost 3 hours and I was given show tickets that had expired 5 minutes after they were given to me. There was no way we could drive across town, park and get to the show. Then we were given other tickets and told there was a 9:30pm showing. We rushed over for that and there was no show. This is FRAUD! I was told by the rep that there was nothing that could be done.

Summerbay Resorts Scam and fraud!

I had a conversation with a gentleman last night offering me all sorts of holidays all over America for a great price. After some time we agreed on a price of £99.00. To my dismay i have gone onto the internet today to view my bookings and all of the web sites have disappeared and the phone numbers i was given no longer are working. I have informed my credit card company and they are telling me i have to wait until my statement is printed off. Summerbay also took more money than was agreed. I would be grateful if anyone could help as i am in the uk. I have emailed summer bay but am not holding much hope as i cant get hold of them any other way.

I would suggest that no one takes up there great offers!

Hello, would you really like to know how this place works fromt his inside? Then let me enlighten you, I work at the summer bay resort call center. I've been there for about a month and I can honestly say that these people are a legit buisness, now don't get me wrong they want your money and that's all they care about. They have been in business sence 93 are with the BBB and R.C.I which is one of the leaders in timeshares. The whole pop up on the computer s complete crap cause we tell everyone that there special and they have been the only one awared with the 3000 doller travel package. But in reality if you have the money and the time it may be worth it to you you do get 2 weeks worth of vacation in the best place to be for vacations right in the heart of florida. 898 us is what you pay for the package if ur a smooth talker yourself you can get them to drop the price cause all they really want is to sale you a timeshare when u get here.Keep in my you must pay your own airfare and there is a 15 doller a night hotell fee anight. But honestly no matter what buisnees your in people are always gonna call it a scam when really they were just uneducated consumers so ask questions and read constracts.
P.S. they would rather have you cancel with them rather with get a chargeback thourgh the credit card company cause if a cc company see hibitual chargebacks they will cancel there merchant account with that company just keep that in mind good luck with your vacations people and stay educated

Dear friends,
Recently, I was told that I had won a vacation worth $3000 by some Summer Bay holiday pop-up promotion. After spending abot 30 minutes of my own cellphone airtime, they asked me for my credit card number, and in my stupor I gave a woman scammer, who calls herself mary dick (or whatever!), phone number [protected]/ [protected], my credit card number. I must have agitated her whiskers as she sounded restless because she could not access my account and she asked me if I was using another credit card. I told her I had one credit card but I was going to the bank the following morning. The next evening she phoned me and asked for the card number, which she could not get. She was angry, calle me an ###-hole (whatever that means!) and hung up. I laughed to myself. Even if itwas in the stone age, would you win a stone and still pay for it with a rock? These scammer were raised in a fish tank! There are oceans of well-informed people around the world who would not even tune in to such vibes. This woman must go home and be taught how to raise kitchen bugs and flies. No kid deserves a mother like her. To all you people out there, If you want a good holiday, save up for it, or simply do not go anywhere. Just enjoy the surroundings, plant trees, do something positive that will impact whoever will see what you are doing. Make your surrounding a resort for others. That is the change we need in society, not like these swine fleas at this bogus rat-hole (scam-hole) called the summer bay Resorts- whatever they are! (pardon my Spanish!). I hope she reads this and she would know who it is.

Caballero,
Cape Town, South Africa.
