First Data Merchant services

March 6 I received a credit collection for a fraudulent business account. I’m currently working with a ID specialist from Experian credit bureau. I contacted all the credit agencies, FTC, FBI investigations crimes unit, IRS. I never agreed or opened an account with the stated company. I was part of several data breaches. I’m seeking resolution of damages for time spent to resolve the issues. I’m willing to arbitration or mediation. If I don’t hear back from the stated company. Legal charges will be filled.

Desired outcome: Settlement, loss of liability, 50k will settle out for 35k with no legal proceedings.

First Data Incorrect threatening invoice on fully paid account

I have received 2 letters in the mail stating I owe $105.93 which I paid on the service date in full via my Discover card. The letter threatens to put me into an account payment plan and collection. I have provided copies of the receipt. This feels like a scam. I cannot reach any human on the phone. The repair was fine.

I want this resolved.

-Allison Bruce

Desired outcome: Send me a receipt from Sears Home Services and First Data that account is paid in full and there will be no further actions by these companies.

First Data Clover POS

Good morning,

The account listed ([protected]) had a recurring payment scheduled for the first of October. Unfortunately the batch went through two days early. We were advised that this was because a technician was doing work on the system. This has caused a terrific amount of issues with the storage clients. As the business was sold with closing on October 1st all the clients were double charged. One batch going to account [protected] and the other to the new owner who had signed up with Clover. After being told that this would be addressed internally by one of your team nothing happened so manager Cindy Donald keyed in all the refunds. Now the account is on hold and the phone calls from angry customers continue. We have attempted to have this addressed through phone calls, emails, and contacting our Clover rep Paresh Wadhera [protected]). At this time no resolution has been presented. The new owner is justifiably upset at the bad reflection on his just acquired facility this has caused and is considering switching providers.

I am also not happy as I look after all of Mr Feeny's accounts. I also have an account with Clover for my own business (Conant Enterprises Ltd. [protected]) which has a substantial amount of transactions through your system. There are many providers that would like to have these accounts due to the volumes and yet we are not getting the service one expects from your organization. Will something be done to rectify this today? Will we be able to reassure our angry customers that they will see their refunds?

Please see the communication from Cindy below. I suspect she is already shopping for a replacement for Clover.

Louise Conant

Assistant to Terry Feeny

Desired outcome: I need the refunds released. That's it. Your company caused this problem now fix it.

First Data Customer service leasing

I have been trying to reach first data to pay off my lease on my clover device the lease is up I had a payout amount I wanted to pay it. However on the letter they sent me they are careful not to put any dates because they don’t really want you to pay it off before your lease ends. I have been trying to call them for over a week I put on hold for a very long time I have been hung up several times but this is the final straw what happened to me today. I am discussing with the agent that it’s not fair I was charged a month lease when I’ve been trying to reach them and being hung up on during business hours it’s very difficult to get through. I told him I would like to buy out the product but I would like to speak to somebody to see if I can get a credit for this $100 they charged me for a lease even though I could not reach them to pay it off and they did not give me the date it was up on the letter which is extremely frustrating unethical and unprofessional . The agent was rude being very difficult I was discussing with him that I just would like to speak to somebody else who may be could help me with this $100 since I am not leasing it telling him my situation. He became very rude and aggressive with me I asked for his name at that point he just hung up on me. After going through all the hoops of getting on with another agent I was informed that the charges went through and it took $500 from my bank account without my permission I told her that and she said there was nothing she could do the payment was processed? Really the payment was processed you took money without permission and now you’re telling me there is nothing you can do? They even have the nerve to tell me since it’s paid my contract is over with the company which very conveniently absolves them of any responsibility for the treatment by their agent. I cannot warn you enough how horrible this company has been to deal with I have dealt with them for six years and I have had the worst experience every single time their agents are rude and untrained and I’m sure they’re under paid it is incredibly difficult to get through to them the amount of questions you have to answer when you are a one person business trying to run a business and get through to them it’s almost impossible and they make it that way so they can steal your money. Nothing about this company is ethical or professional.

Desired outcome: I want a $100 credit and for the agent to be trained and addressed. You can’t get through to the company but when you do you get hung up on several times and then they take your money.

First Data Terminal charges and not even a client

I am being debited money out of my account and keep getting credit VAT Schedules sent to my address when I am not even a client.

I contact fiserv to enquiry about an integrated epos system. I was sent the terminals, however the adviser failed to tell me that the clover terminals do not work with other epos system. I did mention clearly that I was still in contract with the nobly therefore the system need to work. When it came to get up and call support, they advised me that clover terminals only work with there own epos system. So when I called to have the contract cancelled, I was told it was all completed and cancelled. i was sent a email to say that it's all be completed.

I am now being sent statements to state that I am being charged for terminals that I am not using.

The outrageous behaviour of the advisers who do not want to help, keep telling me to raise complaints is unfair on businesses who are running their business, where their own business are not organised to deal with simple matters.

Desired outcome: All a simple this schdule you have set up, refund what is owed for not using your services and a system that was sold which was not correct for my business.

First Data Credit Card Machines

Lease number [protected]

UPS tracking number 1z3e86a40350930625

Weight 10lbs

I fulfilled the lease which was based on lies. I never used the machines and paid every month excited that the lease would end. I followed the rules exactly as stated in the return policy. I packed the box with all four machines. The weight of the box indicates that all four were returned. FDGL continues to charge me every month and admitted that they received the units but said it was one short... Which is not true as I packed them myself and was looking at them on the shelf for nearly three years. There would be one left on the shelf if not in the box. I would like ALL of my money back as I never used the machines but at the very least stop charging me and return my money after the lease. I was told I would be refunded the money but they charged me AGAIN this month. I am beyond frustrated and feel completely taken advantage. I HATE THIEVES!

First Data Lease agreement cancellation

In 2019, when First Data first contacted me to join their merchant services, they made it sound like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. They did not truly explain how this all worked. As a new business owner, I did not know any better and would not know any better until I got swooned into ELAVON merchant services.

Elavon convinced me to switch to their services.. again not explaining the whole implications of cancelling with FIRST DATA.

Come to find out, I have a 4 year lease with First data global leasing for the machine. I've intermittently attempted to get them to lower the buy out cost but it is crazy! They will not budge! I still have until July 2023 to pay $40.20 a month for a machine that I haven't used in 2 years...In this hard pandemic times, you would think they could make it easier for small business's to get out of their lease.

I know I have to take some of the blame for my misfortune as I did not read the fine print on some of the documents provided to me. All Debit merchants just want us to join with them without explaining anything in full. To this day, I get calls from merchants all the time.

Desired outcome: I will give you your machine back if you can let me out of the lease that I was conned into agreeing to by first data merchant

First Data Credit Card Processor

We are writing a review for people to stay away from this company. They are holding on to 8,265.00 of our monies for hard work that we have done. We are a small auto body shop in Dallas TX, Small business owners cannot have funds withheld for long periods as it makes it hard for us to do business. This is how we survive, and this company is telling me they won't even refund the customers back the monies, and that they will hold them. You cannot by law hold on the funds to customers.

Desired outcome: I am requesting that they release my funds asap.

First Data I want all disputed amts reversed

My name is Lori Richardson Bird. I am co-owner and managing partner of Sturgis Rally Rentals, S-Corp

On October 6, 2021 we signed up for a Clover Device. We signed a 48 month agreement with a monthly payment of $37.94.

On December 6, 2021 someone called into First Data and changed our Bank and Accounts. This change was made via electronic document/signature.

On December 16, 2021 and again on December 27, 2021 I received notices that First Data was unable to access our accounts. I called First Data and was told that everything was fine.

On December 29th I received an additional notice from First Data. I called them again and insisted on verifying the account information with them. That is when I realized that the account information they had was not our account information. First the Company was set up as Sturgis Rally Rentals, LLC, we are an S-Corp. They also set up an account with 1st Source Bank, not First Interstate Bank. I immediately requested that the account changed back to the proper accounts to which I had to get a bank-letter, copy of voided check, copy of my Drivers License, and fill out a form which was emailed to me that I had to print, sign, scan and email back with the attached documentation.

I immediately contacted First Interstate Bank to notify them of what had happened. They quickly got their their fraud team involved. In the meantime I began researching and made a phone call to 1st Source Bank. I was able to confirm that the person who signed the fraudulant bank-letter did not work for 1st Source Bank. I spoke to Shanon Barnhart, Security/Fraud manager at 1st Source Bank who told me that 4 deposits had been received totalling just over $10,000 but just over $4000 remained as the balance had been withdrawn via Zelle.

The four deposits were made 12/7/2021 and 12/8/2021 as follows:

12/7, 4:14pm, $2587.50

12/7, 4:17pm, $2347.59

12/8, 5:02pm, $3405.64

12/8, 5:04pm, $2347.59

On January 1, 2022 a dispute was received and First Data debited my account for $2587.50 knowing full well that this amount was part of this fraud investigation. I have disputed this with First Interstate Bank but no correction has been made to date. I received a second dispute regarding this amount on January 11th as well. This deduction then showed up on our January statement.

On January 13th I received an email from First Data advising me that their research team cold do nothing further to assist me in this fraud investigation.

On January 14th I received a return label to return our Clover Device which promptly returned and was received by First Data on January 25, 2022.

On January 24, 2021 I received a dispute in the amount of $2347.59. It was then I realized that my account was in real danger. I immediately called my bank and requested to have my current account closed and a new account opened in order to preserve our account funds. I received a second notice on January 26th and January 28th. I received an additional notice on January 26th that I owed $2347.59 + $150 for a total of 2522.59.

On February 4, 2021 I received a dispute for $4695.19

I have notified First Data on each occasion that these funds are part of a fraud investigation and we are not responsible for payment, the merchant account and bank account are closed. I continue to receive disputes for the fraudulent CC's and for fees being charged on them and on closed accounts.

As further evidence of fraud, every time I would call into First Data, as soon as I hung up I would receive an email, text and phone call. It happened on multiple occasions. I am also convinced that someone on the inside is responsible for this since they knew the answers to all of the questions that were not written down and are not included in correspondence written or emailed but I had been asked and they had been recorded on many occasions when Ii called in.

Desired outcome: disputed amt of $2587.50 debited from our acct credited back to our bank, Clover Flex Lease discontinued/all fees reversed post 12/7/2022.

First Data first data billing practices

First Data is so crooked, they have to change their name to Firserv. When you terminate service with them because their terminal is not functional, they keep charging you and don't tell you about returning their broken terminal. They have made money from me for years before the break up and don't see me as a business partner. They rather take what they can and not worry if I do well.

Desired outcome: return my money for service not delivered to me.

First Data Scam from Mark Rim

I am already a clover user, and a guy name: Mark Rim come to my store, and telling me he can cancel my previous account, and transfer to a cheaper clover account. Because he works for first data in US. He told me he can lower my lease from 70 to 30. And my rate he said is very high. My previous account machine is leased, and he said he will cancel and let me signed a paper and returned the machine... But I found my bank account is still charging by first data. He tried to let me sign another clover account. His name is Mark Rim, phone number [protected].
He lies about his title. He said he works for first data US as an internal employee. I also attached the letter he sent to me to sign to cancel my previous lease account. He prepared everything and just ask me to sign. He promised he can cancel and transfer the account under his name! But he lies. I have still been charged for both account.

Desired outcome: These kind of sales should not be here anymore to sell clover. He tried to lie my couple friends as well, to cancel the previous account. And transfer to him

First Data Canceled merchant services

I was told when signing with this company that I could cancel services within the first 30 days if I was not satisfied. I did so and returned their equipment that was not compatible with my merchant software within the first 5 days of signing. They continuously gave me the runaround, but said that they canceled my services with no problems. Here I am, 3 years later, still being harassed by them for money, they refused to stop taking money from my checking account and I am now broke and out of business and they want to threaten me! They call every single day, starting at 8 am on the dot. I receive collection letters in the mail every week and I am tired!
