I was happy to see the Asia version of Final Fantasy Pixel Remastered is superior to the North American version as you not only get gold coins for the physical copy but also the inside inlay is not just warning and blank pages upon opening the case as with the Asia version you are greeted to the pixel version of the characters like the box to the Collectors Edition which was poorly made available from SquareEnix.com

I preordered a product that was only available in Europe, so they had it shipped from there to Asia and from there to the US. It took about 3 weeks for them to get in the product, but once it shipped, it was at my house in two days! They also answered a question from me within 24 hours, and they were very professional about it. I think they have turned themselves around very well, and if you're okay with the wait, I'd recommend ordering from them.

I always buy digital codes from them. I came here to look at the reviews and I was scared of how many bad reviews about them there are. In my case everything went well as always.

I bought some digital codes and I had some trouble getting the code because I changed my e-mail. Some kind of mishap happened in my order and I had to change e-mail and couldn't get my code.

Then I contacted customer service and they were super helpful. They responded quite fast and helped me fix the problems with my account.

I bought this game and it came in good condition. This was the Japanese version but advertised as having English options. It Didn't. Shortly after the receiving game this was changed to there would be an English patch. There never was (although other versions received this) they pointed out the game could only be returned if it remained sealed. Obviously I had to use it to find the issue.

I just received a response from play asia after leaving a bad review. They have offered me an Asian copy (that has the English option) which is brilliant. I'm raising this to 3as this a good response. I guess its going to take a while to ship but I will further amend this if the new copy arrives.

The folks at Playasia are not the best when it comes to customer service, that's for sure. When you buy something from them, you might find yourself having to contact their customer service for payment verification purposes. Honestly, it's just not worth the hassle. I would not recommend buying from this site, especially since dealing with their customer service can be a real headache.

The customer service team is mostly made up of folks from China and Hong Kong, so their English skills are not always up to par and they usually have no technical knowledge whatsoever. If you ever have to contact them, expect to wait an average of 2-4 hours for a reply. That may not sound so bad, but trust me, it can be incredibly frustrating.

One of the worst things about Playasia's customer service is that they just seem to ignore you sometimes. Even in the middle of a conversation, they might suddenly go silent on you if they've reached the end of their office hours. So if they reach out to you for payment verification at 4:50 PM in Hong Kong local time and you reply right away, don't expect a response until 14-15 hours later. It's pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

I had a little mishap when trying to purchase from play-asia.com. I accidentally overpaid by $400! Yikes! But the good news is that the folks at play-asia were quick to refund my money. Whew, what a relief!

Here’s what happened: I hadn't used Paypal in a long time and my credit card on file was no longer valid. I removed it, and then the only backup option was my checking account on Paypal. So, I decided to use that for payment. But little did I know, eCheck takes 5 whole days to clear! Oopsie!

After I paid, I panicked because my order showed as “not paid yet.” So, I tried again, but it didn't work. Then I checked Paypal and saw that there were two eCheck transactions that were still pending. I was too impatient to wait 5 days, so I added my current credit card to Paypal and paid again. Luckily, that worked because credit card Paypal clears immediately.

The shipping from China to the US was surprisingly fast! I was impressed.

Unfortunately, Paypal couldn't cancel the eCheck transactions, but I let play-asia know about my mistake. Thankfully, the customer service team was a great help! They stayed on top of things and made sure I got my refund as soon as possible!

Overall, I'm really happy with the service from play-asia. Even when I messed up, they were there to guide me through the process and took care of everything. Thank you, play-asia - you guys are the best!

I bought Super Robot Wars T and V from Playasia a couple of weeks ago. However, a few days later, I received an email from the website stating that the games were no longer available due to a lack of stock from their suppliers. Playasia then gave me the option of either receiving a refund or purchasing a different game.

Upon browsing the Playasia website, I noticed that the Super Robot Wars T and V games were still for sale. I was perplexed as to why they had not been taken down since the website claimed that they could no longer obtain any more copies from their suppliers. I decided to take a screenshot and inquire with customer service about the situation.

Playasia requested proof of my screenshot, which I provided promptly. I also informed them that I would not mind waiting if it took longer to get a copy of the game. However, instead of giving me any updates or assurances that I could purchase the game later at its original price, Playasia just refunded my money.

Recently, I decided to check the release date for Super Robot Wars 30, and I noticed that T and V were still for sale on Playasia's website, but at a much higher price. To me, it seems as though Playasia decided to increase the price in order to benefit financially, rather than honoring the previous cost. It's disappointing that they did not let me know when the games would be back in stock so that I could have repurchased them at their original price.

Overall, my experience with Playasia's customer service was not the best. It's a shame that they could not provide me with more information or work with me to obtain the games I wanted without experiencing a price hike. I hope that in the future, they can improve their customer service policies and update their website with accurate information.

Got myself a brand new Hori-Pad 4 controller for my PS4 from play-asia.com but here is the catch. I am writing this review as a warning to everyone in the U.S. who plans to purchase from them.

Upon receiving my controller, I was surprised to find out that it won't work, not even the lights! I tried using it on both my PS3 and PS4 but to no avail. I reached out to play-asia about it and boy did they give me a big concern.

They told me that I could return the item but at my expense and that they would only replace it if they find it non-working. And the tricky part? I already paid $65 for the controller plus the shipping fee.

To make things worse, the return shipping fee via the same method of delivery used by play-asia is $16, while the whole shipping cost? A whopping $95.59 for Fed-Ex international economy shipping. That's not just ridiculously expensive, it's outrageous! I could buy another controller for a much cheaper price and wait only for a week to get it.

What's worse is, they won't even pay for the return shipping fee if the item is non-working. In other words, if your ordered item doesn't work, you're bound to get stuck with it. The packaging shows no signs of damage so that's not even an excuse.

I asked play-asia's representative if they could suggest a cheaper shipping method, but even their solution of "registered economy airmail" would still cost me $40. That's totally unacceptable!

So there you have it, I'm stuck with a non-working controller and lost $65. I should have been more cautious and researched more before buying from them. If ever you decide to order from play-asia, make sure that you are aware of these risks. It's either you'll get stuck with a non-working product or spend a fortune on shipping. Buyer beware!

Not gonna lie, Playasia used to be my go-to site for getting my hands on all the latest games without any delays. But lately, I've been having an absolute nightmare with them. It's such a shame to see a company that used to be so efficient fall from grace like this.

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience shopping on Playasia. I was really excited to buy two new games from them on December 12th, 2019, but it's now December 31st and my order still hasn't shipped. I haven't received any update from Playasia about what's going on.

Got my package from Playasia.com and it was supposed to be delivered to me in just a week after it was sent on the 15th of May. But oh boy, it didn't show up as it got stolen at a Singaporean outpost - darn it! Those devils registered the package as "sent" but I never actually got it myself. And when I asked my own country's postal service about its whereabouts, they just told me that it's still "in transit" - what a bummer!

To top it off, Playasia doesn't seem to be taking any responsibility for the whole situation. Barely any respect for consumers in my opinion, as they keep providing me with the same answer every time: "go ask your local post office about it". You know what? I did that. Had a real bad experience ordering with Playasia. I ordered four or five big-ticket items, and they shipped them all out to the wrong address! Can you believe that? I mean, talk about carelessness. And then, to make matters worse, their website is just terrible. Every time I tried to update my email address, it wouldn't work. It kept reverting back to some old email address I don't even use anymore. And when I tried to validate my email address, it just wouldn't work. Not with any email address, mind you. It's been over a month and I have NOT received the game that I ordered but I have ALREADY BEEN CHARGED for the game. The game supposedly shipped on 12/19/08. Contacted play-asia in early Jan and was told to wait a few more days for the game to arrive. I still did not receive the game by 1/12/09 so I contacted play-asia, asking for detailed shipping info. They were not able to provide me any info and they gave me the run around (e.g. asking to verify the zip code of my address, etc). After reading other reviews on ResellerRatings.com (and this website) where other customers were CHARGED for their order but DID NOT RECEIVE their order (refer to posting from "grapixs" on 3/4/08 3:17 PM, "dougmoen" on 12/3/08 11:45 PM), I immediately contacted my credit card company to fight this charge. Do NOT EVER buy from play-asia.com! It's a SCAM!

I ordered the game Cars (Disney, Pixar) and one other game from Play-Asia for my son's XBox 360. They sent one game region free but they sent Cars for the East Asia region, even though I am in the middle east which uses the Europe region consoles. I complained to them and they said I would have to pay the postage costs plus a restocking fee plus they would cancel the coupon reduction used. In short they themselves admitted, "it will not be economical for you to return the game".
