National Registered Agents, Inc. Billing for services not rendered

As a national charity, we are required to have registered agents in most states as one of the requirements to solicit in those states. We use URS Agents, as part of our deal with their sister company, AMRS, which handles our state charity registrations. We have received several letters from National Registered Agents, Inc. demanding $672.00 for services rendered as our registered agents. We do not use NRAI, and they have no authorization to receive documents or otherwise act on or behalf. This has been communicated to them repeatedly, however they have continued to send us bills, and are now threatening to take us to an outside collection agency.

Aug 13, 2008, I sent a fax to NRAI, Inc.requesting that they d/c services to CFR, Inc., I submitted a changing of resident agent of a LLC in Md. application via fax for expedited service to the State Department of Assessment & Taxation Charter Division Aug 13th, 14th & Jan 30, 2009. I was served in a lawsuit. I did not receive my summons until mid Dec 2008...
