Ace Hardware Ace Rewards system

Over the course of 1 or 2 years I had used Ace Hardware's online site to purchase between $75k and $100k worth of items. As a member in their Ace Rewards system, this generated a high amount of Ace Rewards credit to use in stores or online. When Ace Hardware noticed how much credit I was generating, they closed my rewards account and told me I was no longer able to have an account with Ace.

Ace Hardware Craftsman trimmer

I purchased a trimmer on 7/20/23 and used it one time. I pulled it out yesterday 8/17/23 and the priming bulb will not return from a compressed position, making it impossible to start the trimmer. I contacted te Ace where I purchased the trimmer and they told me it could not be returned/exchanged because it was used. My only recourse would be to contact Cradtsman tand pay to get it repaired.

This is a trimmer I have had for only a few weeks and only used once.

I am very displeased with the fact that I could have returned or exchanged this item without any issues at any other larger home improvement store.

Ace Hardware Rude service

Blonde lady closest to the door was so rude and off putting she even took a step back and stared at us to grab our stuff and leave as if we were an inconvenience in her life. Very unapproachable and didn’t even say bye or thank you just very hostile to say the least. Refused to make contact.

Ace Hardware cust retuirn staff

I went into your Chico ca store and was returning 2 items brass fitting and a ranger gas valve the commercial sales lady there accused me of trying to rip you guys off and lied to me she said they dont sell this brand in which i walked right over to the isle her in tow pulled it off the shelf exact same item same spoy same package and she still tells me that this is not there brand so your telling me im lying i have the receipt i pulled the item for her keep in mind i had an appointment i was going to be late for and explained this in the beginning then in the end this lady laora tells me i need to stand in line again so in the end i called the store manager and was told basically oh well . on the back of all your receipts it says hassle free return well it was not hassle free it was embarrassing humiliatingly and honestly i wont be shopping with ace any longer

Ace Hardware Grout Sensation

You advised your stores that the Company that sells Grout sensation closed their warehouse and is no longer selling that product. That is not true! They are very much still in business and the product is still available directly through them. It is a big seller and they need to know that they can still get it! It really is wrong to mislead your stores about a product that sells so well for them. You need to let them know they can still order directly through the company...USA Chemical Corp!

Ace Hardware B-hyve sprinkler controller

Last April I bought a B-Hyve sprinkler controller made by Orbit from the Ace Hardware store in Littleton, CO for $100. 2 months later it stopped working. I spent 4 days trying to contact Orbit to get a replacement. No one answered the phone. They do not have an email address. The live technical support is no longer available. Chat requests went unanswered. I finally gave up and took the controller back to the Ace Hardware store and requested a replacement or refund. They refused since the time limit (30 days) had expired. After 5 minutes of trying to explain my problem to the store manager, I gave up and went to Home Depot to buy another one, something I should have done in the first place. Obviously, I will never go back to another Ace Hardware store.

Ace Hardware Disappointing Experience with Ace Hardware: Lack of Communication and Broken Promises

I recently made a purchase on acehardware.com for a charcoal grill priced at $16. I opted for delivery to a local store and was given a delivery window of one week. Unfortunately, when the item arrived, it was damaged. I contacted the store and was informed that they would send it back and that I would receive a replacement in a week's time.

However, when the week had passed, I received news that the replacement item was left at the warehouse. Frustrated with the situation, I decided to call customer service and spoke to several representatives before being escalated to a manager named Adrienne. I explained my concerns to him and asked if they could just send the item to my house since we were already so far behind schedule.

Adrienne sympathized with my situation but explained that he could not change the shipping time or location at this point. Instead, he offered me a full refund and promised that the store would bring the item to my house when it eventually arrived. I accepted the offer and we ended the call.

However, about 20 minutes later, Adrienne called me back and informed me that he was only able to refund $10 of the entire amount. He did offer to sign me up for their rewards program, but unfortunately, the store would not deliver the item. I am now left in the dark about when or if I will receive the item, and I only have a partial refund.

Overall, my experience with Ace Hardware has been disappointing. The company's lack of communication and inability to deliver on their promises has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and efficient service.

Ace Hardware Terrible Experience at Ace Hardware La Puente: Incompetent Staff and Management

I recently visited the Ace Hardware store in La Puente and was hoping to get some assistance with a window bracket. The cashier was kind enough to direct me to aisle 14 and buzzed for another associate to help me out. However, when I got there, nobody was around to assist me. Just as I was about to leave, a young man approached me and asked if he could help. He told me he needed to take a call and would come back to me later.

Feeling a bit lost, I decided to head towards the back of the store where I saw a sign that read "Customer Service." I waited patiently for over 10-15 minutes, hoping someone would come to assist me. Finally, a guy named Michael came to the counter to help me out. However, I could tell he was not very experienced or knowledgeable about the product I was looking for.

To make matters worse, an older employee who was bald and wearing glasses came over and was extremely rude to me. I told him I needed help with a broken bracket, but he continued to be rude and unhelpful. Then, the so-called manager on duty, Mark, came over with an unprofessional attitude. When I asked him if this was the "customer service" counter, he told me it was only for screening. I couldn't believe it!

Overall, my experience at Ace Hardware was terrible. From the management to the staff, everyone seemed incompetent and worthless. I will never be going back to this store again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's a shame because I was hoping to find a reliable hardware store in the area, but it looks like I'll have to keep searching.

Ace Hardware Ace Hardware's Coupon Policy Needs Improvement: A Disappointing Experience

I've been a loyal customer of Ace Hardware for many years now and I must say, I've never had any major issues with them. However, there have been times when they advertised certain products that were not available in-store. It can be quite frustrating when you go to the store expecting to find a particular item, only to be told that it's out of stock.

Recently, I received a Rewards cash card and some coupons from Ace Hardware for some purchases I made. I was excited to redeem them at my local store in Nine Mile Falls. However, to my surprise, I was told that I couldn't use them there. I was confused and asked why since they were from Ace Hardware and I had used them at that store before. The sales associate informed me that the coupons were not from their store but from one that was more than 20 miles away. She said that I could only use them at that particular store.

I found this to be quite ridiculous. I had never shopped at that store before, so why would I receive coupons from there? The sales associate told me that all Ace Hardware stores are independently owned, which is why I couldn't use the coupons at my local store. I was advised to go online and contact the Ace Care Center to resolve the issue.

I did as I was told and contacted the Ace Care Center. However, I was given the runaround and was told that they could assign the local store for future purchases and coupons, but they couldn't reissue the same coupon for a different store. I found this to be quite frustrating and felt like they were just trying to funnel shoppers to stores of their choosing.

Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at Ace Hardware. I feel like they could have handled the situation better and made it easier for me to redeem my coupons. As a result, they have lost my business.

Ace Hardware Disappointing Customer Service Experience at Ace Hardware: Unable to Return Opened GE Universal Remote

I recently had an experience with Ace Hardware that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I purchased a GE Universal remote on 5/22/23 with the intention of using it to control my Vizio TV. However, when I tried to set it up, it simply wouldn't work. I decided to return the remote for a credit, but when I went to the store, I was told that I couldn't return it because I had opened the package.

I was taken aback by this response. After all, how was I supposed to know if the remote would work if I didn't open the package and try to set it up? The clerk told me that I had read the directions incorrectly, but I pointed out that the directions were inside the package, which I had to open to access them.

The clerk went on to explain that he couldn't resell the remote because it had been opened, and that he would lose money if he took it back. He even went so far as to say that he would have to throw it away. I was shocked that a store like Ace Hardware would be so inflexible when it came to customer service.

I tried to reason with the clerk, explaining that most retailers in America allow customers to return merchandise for a refund. But he remained confrontational and abrasive throughout our conversation. In fact, he eventually told me to leave the store.

I was disappointed by this experience, especially since the price of the remote was only $9.23. It's a shame that a store owner would be willing to lose future business over such a small amount of money. I left feeling frustrated and disheartened.

Overall, my experience with Ace Hardware was not a positive one. While I appreciate that the store has policies in place to protect their bottom line, I believe that they could benefit from a more customer-focused approach. After all, without customers, there would be no business at all.

Ace Hardware Ace Hardware's Customer Service Needs Improvement

Ace Hardware is a place where you can find all your hardware needs. However, my experience with their customer service was not a pleasant one. I purchased a component online that did not meet the product specifications due to poor workmanship and inferior materials. The product had an Ace "Promise" Satisfaction Guaranteed label, but their satisfaction guarantee was not worth the cardboard it was printed on.

When I called Ace customer service, the representative instructed me to place an order for a replacement product online and have it shipped to my local Ace store. I followed their instructions and also took the defective cord to my local Ace store. The Ace agent assured me that as soon as the old cord is returned to the Ace Hardware store, they would credit my credit card for the amount I paid for the replacement item.

However, I did not receive a refund. Instead, the Ace customer service person deceived me into thinking that I would receive a refund. I tried to speak to a supervisor about this deception, but no Ace customer support agent would connect me to one.

In my opinion, Ace Hardware's customer service is not up to par. I would recommend taking your business to their competitors who treat customers with respect and care. As the saying goes, if you don't take care of the customer, somebody else will. Ace Hardware needs to improve their customer service if they want to stay in business.

Ace Hardware Terrible Customer Service and Return Policy at ACE Hardware in Brooklyn

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with ACE Hardware. Specifically, the ACE store located at 2266 Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn. Let me tell you, their customer service is just plain awful. I had a question about their return policy and the staff there just straight up ignored me. I mean, come on, that's just rude.

And it didn't stop there. When I tried to get my complaint resolved, I was met with even more incompetence and bureaucratic nonsense. The local store management was dismissive and unhelpful, and ACE's corporate customer service department was no better.

Here's what happened: I was told that I could return my items within 30 days with a receipt. But what they didn't tell me was that the items had to be unopened. So when I tried to return my "like new" items, I was met with resistance and a dismissive attitude. I even offered to accept store credit instead of a refund, but they wouldn't budge.

So I tried to escalate the issue to the corporate level. I made four phone calls and ACE's customer service department reached out to the store twice. But nothing was resolved. They even tried to misdirect me by telling me to apply to their Rewards Profile program. And when I asked for a refund, they told me to go to another ACE store. I mean, seriously? That's just unacceptable.

Overall, I feel like ACE Hardware doesn't value their customers or their experience. And if you're thinking about shopping there, you should know that their return policy is pretty terrible. I'd recommend going to Lowe's or Home Depot instead. Trust me, you'll have a much better experience.

Ace Hardware Ace Hardware's Failure to Honor Coupon Offer and Poor Customer Service

Ace Hardware recently sent out a coupon offering a 50% discount on any item. My friend decided to take advantage of this offer and went to the Ace Hardware franchise store in or near Mineral Springs, North Carolina to purchase a $13 bag of chicken feed. However, the owner of the store refused to honor the coupon, despite the legal wording stating that there were no exclusions. According to the coupon, my friend should have received a 50% discount on the chicken feed, but the store owner decided not to apply the coupon because he claimed he could not make enough profit on such a low-priced item.

My friend was understandably upset by this treatment and informed the store owner that he would not be shopping there again. I reached out to the corporate Ace Hardware website twice to request that they send my friend a coupon for a free bag of chicken feed to make up for their poor customer service and failure to honor their legal coupon offer. Unfortunately, they have not responded to my emails, which is disappointing.

As a result, I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with Ace Hardware and their failure to make things right for my friend. I hope that others will take note of this experience and think twice before shopping at Ace Hardware stores across the USA. It seems that these stores are allowed to make up their own policies as they see fit, which is not fair to customers who expect to receive the advertised offers.

In fact, I have noticed that small hardware stores like Ace Hardware are beginning to act worse than big box hardware stores. It is a shame that we cannot expect small-town community hospitality or fair customer care from these stores anymore. It is clear that Ace Hardware is not the helpful place that they claim to be.

Overall, I am disappointed by the way that Ace Hardware has handled this situation and I hope that they will take steps to improve their customer service in the future. Ace Hardware Disappointing Experience at Ace Hardware: Lack of Military Discount for Veteran Customer

I visited Ace Hardware store located at 7586 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, TX *** on 3/19/22, at 12:19 pm. I have been a regular customer of this store for a few years now and have always been treated with respect and honor as a Military veteran. I have always received a 10% discount upon showing my Veterans I.D. However, on this particular day, I experienced one of the worst management and cashier situations I have ever encountered in my life.

When I received my receipt from the cashier, Kathy, I noticed that I only received a $1.00 discount from a $63.85 purchase. I immediately notified Kathy that I only received a $1.00 discount and that a 10% military discount should be around -$6.38 off of the purchase. However, Kathy replied that there wasn't anything she could do. I was disappointed and frustrated, so I asked for a refund so I could go to another competitor that honors their Veterans and get my 10% discount.

After receiving my refund, I asked for a manager and explained the situation to Andrew, who was the manager on duty. I showed him my ID again, and he tried to enter the military discount, but the system only allowed a $1.00 discount once again. Instead of Andrew being the manager and having the capability to override the system manually and entering the 10% discount for a veteran, Andrew politely apologized and acted like there wasn't anything he could do.

I was disappointed and frustrated that I had to travel 5 miles to Home Depot in Cedar Hill to purchase my item and receive my 10% discount, which I should have received from my local Ace Hardware store located less than a half of a mile from my home. This location needs major training, and Andrew being the manager should understand the importance of keeping a loyal customer and making sure veterans receive their discounts for picking Ace to shop at while Lowes and Home Depot offer the same incentives for their veterans who choose to do business with their companies.

There needs to be training at this location because this should have been a simple override, and a 10% discount entered by the manager. I hope that Ace Hardware Customer Care at ***223 will take action and retrain this location because it is needed seriously if it wants to continue to get its market share, which is supported by local homeowners. I don't want this to happen to another Veteran at our local Ace Hardware store.

In conclusion, I hope that Ace Hardware will take this matter seriously and provide better training to their employees, especially the management, to ensure that their customers, especially veterans, are treated with respect and honor. I will continue to shop at Ace Hardware, but I hope that this situation will not happen again in the future.

Ace Hardware Disappointing Experience with Ace Hardware's Website: Wrong Item and Poor Customer Service

So, I had a bit of a problem with Ace Hardware recently. Let me tell you, it was a real doozy. You see, my thermostat had fallen apart and I needed a replacement. I thought I had found the perfect one, but the salesperson talked me into buying a different one. Well, that one didn't work, so I went back to the store and found the exact one I needed - a Honeywell RTH2510b1000. I was so relieved! But then, when I got home and tried to install it, it didn't work either. I was really frustrated at this point, but I didn't give up. I searched online and found the exact thermostat I needed on Ace Hardware's website. I was so happy! I ordered it right away and paid extra for express shipping so I could get it quickly.

Well, when the package arrived, I was disappointed to find that it was the wrong thermostat. I contacted customer support and they told me that they no longer carried the one I needed. I was really upset because I had spent all this money on a thermostat that wouldn't work. I tried to return it to the local store, but they wouldn't take it because they didn't carry that item. I had to contact customer support again and they finally gave me a store that would take the return. But when I got my refund, they had deducted the cost of the express shipping! I was so angry! I had already spent so much money on a thermostat that didn't work and now they were taking even more money from me!

I contacted customer support again and they told me that the item was labeled properly and that I should be happy that I got a refund at all. I was so frustrated with their response. I had specifically ordered the RTH2510b1000 and they had sent me the wrong item. It wasn't my fault that their product was mislabeled! I even had pictures to prove it! But they didn't want to hear it. They just wanted to take my money and move on.

Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience with Ace Hardware. I thought they were a reputable company, but now I'm not so sure. I would caution anyone against ordering from their website, especially if you need something specific. You might end up with the wrong item and no way to return it.
