King Soopers Treated like a thief

As I walked around with my five yr old daughter shopping. The security guard followed us with this LMS attitude. When my daughter and I looked over to see someone watching us, she pointed it out and wanted to leave the store. My daughter should never feel like that, and never should the place we shop every couple of days do that. Whoever this guard is needs to be retrained and If my daughter feels unsafe again. I will record the entire engagement and bring it to your and everyone else's attention.

Desired outcome: Retrain the employees and treat loyal customers with respect. This type of behavior is not called for and will not be tolerated

King Soopers Meat dept

I am unhappy with the deceptive packaging of the sirloin petite steaks I purchased on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at 3:42 pm. at the King Soopers at 3050 Northern Ave in Pueblo CO.

I purchased some packages of the sirloin steaks with a digital coupon for a good sale price. They looked good enough for the price and I knew there would be some waste from what was visible in the package.

However, when I opened the packages to trim and freeze the meat, I was disgusted by what the steaks looked like on the hidden side. Had I been able to view that side of the steaks before purchase, I would have not bought 4 out of 5 packages. There was a considerable amount of fat and gristle and "silver skin" through the steaks on the reverse side of the meat in the packages. I managed to trim away the fat and waste from these "steaks" and lost at least 25% to 30% of the total weight of the meat.

Is this a new King Soopers marketing strategy? I call it deceptive packaging. I've never gotten anything like that from King Soopers before. I used to buy meat from Safeway and stopped because they started doing the same deceptive packaging.

King Soopers Racial profiling

Racial profiling at King Soopers on Chestnut in Denver Co. Mgr refused to address the most recent incident which occurred on 11/14/2023 @ approximately 3:15 PM. An employee moved toward me in a threatening manner as I was leaving the store. It was an act of intimidation that the manager refused to address. She suggests, without proof, that the racial profiling I experienced at that store was merely employees trying to provide assistance. I'm a highly educated African American and learned Biblical Scholar of the King James Bible correctly translated through the Masoretic text and with 68 years of life experience in the United States I can tell the difference between being racially profiled and someone offering assistance. The harassment has been ongoing for almost 8 years. Call Sadie (Manager) at [protected]. Tell Sadie to put a stop to racial Profiling at her store. Leave a message if she is not available.

Desired outcome: Identify racial profiling and stop it.

King Soopers Wildcat Reserve Store Highlands Ranch Co 80129

I have going to the King Soopers on Wildcat in Highlands Ranch since it opened. What has happened to that store. It’s dirty, shelves not stocked, aisles crowed with stockers , aisle to narrow, personnel surly, aisle not properly marked. Need I say more.

You want to buy Safeway well before you do take a look at how beautiful there stores are. Everything I mentioned in the above paragraph is not what you find at Safeway.

It’s very disappointing to shop at your store and stores.

King Soopers Employees and lack of recycling.

Last night I was in store 87 in Conifer, Colorado. A head clerk named Megan was walking past me in Starbucks, and I was laughing about a joke that Starbucks had posted. Instead of laughing along with me, Megan said: "Yeah, whatever." Many other times when I've gone shopping at this same store location, I've had to ask for help multiple times, and often have had to wait about 20 minutes before someone would finally help me.

Some front end employees are very nice and helpful right away, but it is annoying to constantly have to ask others for help, and to sometimes wait for 20 minutes or even more. It doesn't matter if I'm a former employee of the same store location or not, it's rude and disrespectful to ignore customers, even if they were former employees who quit or got fired.

Also, Tim, the one who collects carts, is often talking to customers at length in the parking lot, and not doing his job. He also endlessly talks about religion and Politics, and that is not allowed in the workplace, yet he repeatedly does it anyway and gets away with it.

I am likely going to start doing pickup only, because I won't tolerate the rude employees anymore. I've used pickup a few times. Great service, and the pickup employees are always very friendly and helpful.

I would appreciate the plastic bag recycling to return as well. I loved using it when it was there. Now it isn't there, at least, it isn't outside anymore. I would also appreciate you having regular recycling bins at all locations.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response, and I would like you to ensure your employees do their jobs, and also don't ignore or be rude to customers.I'd also greatly appreciate if you would have recycling bins at all locations, for all types of recycling.

King Soopers Pharmacy service

I requested a refill of my pain medication on 8/12/23. This medication has to be approved by the doctor every month, so I knew I would have to wait until 8/13/23 or 8/14/23. I was in the store shopping on the 13th, and decided to check my King Sooper App to see if my medication had been refilled. There was a text message from the King Sooper Pharmacy, saying that it was too early to fill my medication, and that I would be able to request my refill on or after 11/5/23, almost three months away. I had no idea why they wouldn't fill the medication for three months, so went to the pharmacy to find out what was going on. The clerk at the window, koda, told me that they were out of stock of my medication. I asked her if they would be out of stock for three months. She kind of stumbled over her words, and the pharmacist started talking to me. He said that the prescription had been filled on 8/8/23, and that there was no way to tell where it had been filled. I had picked up a different medication on the 8th, at this pharmacy, which is where I fill all of my prescriptions. Then, the pharmacist realized he was looking at the wrong medication. So, at this point, I had received two answers that were clearly being made up. Then, the pharmacist said "oh, we can fill this tomorrow, the 14th". That was fine with me, but I had doubts as to whether that was true or not. The next day, the 14th, I received a text from the pharmacy saying that my pain medication was ready to be picked up. That was good news, but made me wonder why both of these pharmacy employees had lied to me, and just made up stories to get me to leave. It was clear at this point that the pharmacy was not out of stock, and my meds had not been picked up earlier in the month. Where in the hell did that information come from? I am writing because i've had nothing but problems with this Koda person. She has worked at this pharmacy for several months, and has NEVER gotten any better. Her service is extremely slow, she is not friendly, and she very clearly has no idea what she is doing. And, she's not improving over time. This clerk should not be working with the public. I've been doing business with this particular pharmacy for over seven years. The one and ONLY employee here who is worth recognition is CAROL. She is friendly, efficient, knows what the hell she's talking about and what she's doing. If there is some sort of problem, she figures it out right away. She is the only one working here who can be relied upon for accurate and timely information, every time she deals with any and all customers. At this point, Carol is the only person working here who I do NOT dread working with. She is the ONLY one who makes all of my interactions with her pleasant. Perhaps your management needs to pay close attention to Koda and how she treats customers. It's terrible, and really makes me want to take my business elsewhere. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Desired outcome: Place Koda in a position that does not entail working with people, or terminate her as an employee.

King Soopers Inadequate store size and parking

We have ONE King Soopers/Kroger-affiliated store (City Market) in Canon City, CO and only two other grocery stores for a populations of 16,000. This store is far too small with crowded aisles. It is always busy and in desperate need of expansion (or build another store location). My other complaint is the parking lot. It has needed complete resurfacing for months. There is a giant pot hole right at the entrance that is being ignored. This store is right next to another store (not grocery). The other store repaired their parking lot, so why can't King Soopers do that? I am sure you have more than enough money to do this for your customers and employees. Please, expand this store or build another one and please, please fix the parking lot!

King Soopers Bad experience

When I tried to use coupons that I had the cashier lady told me I couldn't use one of my coupons. I had to buy bigger one then I could use it. I totally understand but I have used that coupon before so I thought that I could use it in a same way.

Anyway, teen workers started rolling their eyes and laughing when I had a question about the coupon that I wanted to use.

They made me feel like I was a stupid and annoying lady that wanted to get discount 40 cents.

I didn't even try to stay or argue. I still don't understand their behavior. Don't get me wrong, I don't care about coupons!

I want to say that you guys need to train teen workers how to treat people.

King Soopers Other

I was at King Soopers this morning from about 7 until 7:30. Early morning used to be a senior-friendly time to go shopping since COVID. Now it is not. Before I left, I asked for the key or code for the public resgtroom and was told that the security guard was not there yet and he is the only one who has the code.

This is completely unacceptible. You should not be open if your restrooms are not available. I have been a loyal King Soopers (and Kroger when I am in the southeast) shopper for decades. Going forward, I will ask when I arrive whether or not the restrooms are available and if they are not, I will definitely shop elsewhere.

Desired outcome: I would like the store to always have someone on duty who can open the public restroom during operating hours.

King Soopers Pharmacist Manager Jordan

Hello my name John Gordon. I have been a loyal customer for over 40 years. I have been having difficulties there for quite some-time over the years. I applied for & got my RX savings club for me & my wife Karla. They sent me a card w/o Karla's name on it & did not honor it 2 weeks ago when Karla went in. I since have called the RX savings ppl & they sent me a new card last week with both of our names on it, family membership card. Today I had Dr. call in scripts for my cancer that I found out I had, & they again would not honor my card. I have been off work for a few weeks & can't afford much. The rx savings card could have helped me out. As I gave the pharmacist my card she said that it would not work & for me to call the rx saving ppl, as I told her I've talked with them 2 times now, the lady was getting a little snappy at me b/c I;m already frustrated because I been denied my savings club twice after paying for a family membership that hasn't been honored yet. The lady at the register wasn't helping me out at all as they have been busy, I know, but customer service is paramount. I asked for the pharmacist manager. She Jordan came at me like I was a step child with her hands on her hips & as I tried to explain to her that Ive tried calling several times to get the card fixed. She outloudly called me rude & told the lady at the register to hurry up with my order because there were other ppl waiting in line, as if my problem wasn't important enough. Bad enough I was told I had cancer, but these ladies didn't have a care of concern & were more worried about the ppl in line instead of my issue... NOT OK

King Soopers poor service and over charge

Charged three time for one 2 lb. grapes while having to bag my own groceries. casher was not attentive at all. all your stores providing less help and less courtesy to shoppers. most of time you must go to self serve and then no one around to help if you have trouble or need to scan coupons. where is the king soopers of old? only store with help and courtesy to customers is at Hampton and Tower.

King Soopers Manager customer service

This is what happened today- I was purchasing some gift cards today and Vincent asked why I was purchasing them- I told him some crypto because my card would not work at home so I am trying this method. He said “that is Cool” and continued to process the transaction and took my ID and payment card. We were making small talk when Vincent asked me for inside information- He smiled and said " what crypto are you buying? Can you let me in so that I can make some Money, This job doesn't pay so well."... I told him. I wish I could tell you what asset I am buying, but I cannot disclose that information or I will lose my license. at that point his manor completely changed and he told me " In that case I will not be processing this transaction, Goodluck with your crypto... I was completely confused at this moment because everything was going find until he felt as if I could not share the inside info and help him gain some profits off my clients orders.. ( This is called front-running) when I asked him why and if he could explain this he got the security guard to escort me out. There were 3 employees that witnessed this and the guard was even confused... This Manager kicked me out of the supermarket out of spite and told me to never come back... this is completely unacceptable behavior by a manager. I have done nothing wrong and I would like an apology and to be able to shop at my local king scoopers again… if you can go back and pull the video footage I know you will understand what happened and that he acted inappropriately.

Desired outcome: I expect an apology from Vincent and i want him to tell me i am able to shop at my local king scoopers.

King Soopers Digital Coupons and store specials

I've been shopping with King Soopers (Bear Valley) for 30+ years now and now that I'm in the elderly crowd, I find your Digital Coupons and store specials to be frustrating; especially for the elderly. Many of us do not have IPhones and therefore cannot pull up the coupons. I have asked for assistance on numerous occasions and only been treated like I was bothering the clerk. Additionally, your specials like buy 5 bags of chips and get them for 1.99 each is crazy; I am a senior and only eat 1 or 2 bags of chips a month. Therefore, I have to pay the $5.99 each. This seems so unfair. Why can I not get the same price as everyone else? Last purchase was on 4/7/23 at 4:33 PM. ID# [protected]-699.

Digital coupons are a very clear case of discrimination. Those of us who do not have smart phones and are not computer savvy are paying higher prices so those who do are able to pay lower prices.

This employee was beyond rude and intolerable. He also smelt highly of marijuana and vodka I smelt him before I saw him. It was even worse when he came to bring the food to my car. He was mumbling something when he put food in my car when I asked what he said he told me to kind my own [censored]ing business you fat [censored]. I really thought the Caliber of your employees were so much higher. Please do something about this man!

King Soopers Pick-up order

I have placed continuous orders with the King Soopers pick-up option and usually have good service. However, often times they are understaffed or some excuse from the team as to why my order cannot be fulfilled on the time I requested, typically I am able to change my schedule to pick up. On February 16th I placed an order to pick up at noon on the 17th. I was confirmed that my order time would be accommodated. At 10am on the 17th, I received a call from the pick-up team that they are again behind and unable to fulfill in my timeslot. I made arrangements for the time slot of noon, since I am a full-time working employee and my car needs to be serviced today until Monday. When I called in and asked if there was anyway to make my time work the supervisor stated not going to happen. I explained my situation and asked if they could deliver or switch my order to another location and her only response was to cancel it and re-order in hopes that I could make things work (which I know you are not able to place an order for pickup with only a two hour window). The attitude she expressed was that I was inconveniencing her and did not apologize for any of the situation. I understand that companies are not perfect but I would have liked some type of accountability or discount or solution to be offered other than tough crap and we will hold your order until Sunday. Why should I have to be trying to go out of my way to find a family member or rideshare to help me pick up my groceries when it was not my mistake. I am fine with adjusting to help out a team in need but I do not feel I should be the one to be felt like I am the problem and not provided any reasonable solutions.

King Soopers Digital coupon

On Jan. 27, I shopped at 2:05 PM at 825 CO Blvd. Ref# 026710
I did my weekly shopping. I had planned on purchasing 5 1:2 gallons of milk. With the digital coupon that would have been. $.99 each. However, there were only 2 1/2 gallons of any type left. I bought them. Then I went out of my way to go to 4600 Leetsdale to pick up additional milk. I again scanned my card. Ref# 030181
I was charged $1.99 each. Bottom line I was overcharged $4.00 yet the coupon was clipped. I would appreciate the refund. Thank you, as I don’t want to go back to both stores and explain the mess.

I am almost to the point where I can’t shop there any longer. I am so tired of the employees making me, the shopper, feel like I’m in their way when I am shopping! Half of the aisles were blocked by boxes and stickers. When I try to make my way through with my cart, I get no eye contact no excuse me no apologies. I only get annoying looks and frowning faces. No one talked to me at any point event at checkout. I’m done. I even made direct eye contact with one guy and he stared at me, then shrugged as of saying “go around me. You are in my way.” No speech even occurred. They talk to each other though. My parents would have been shocked! King Soopers Pueblo near Elizabeth. But they are all similar.

King Soopers Pharmacy associate

I have been taking Zoloft for over 4 years. I have called to have my prescription refilled for two days in a row. Yesterday was a holiday so they couldn’t get it refilled. Today is day 2 without my life saving medication to stop me from the suicidal thoughts I have and your associate told me I need to call the doctor and I told her I have and she has not called me back. I’m having bad thoughts and I’m scared I’m going to hurt myself and told the associate that because I need Atleast todays dose of medication. She told me to call the doctor. If I do something to myself while off of this medication because even my doctors office Denver Lowry said they should give me a dose to last me until my doctor is able to fill them. Your associate was completly disrespectful and she needs to be trained on how to deal with people who need their medication for their suicidal thoughts. I’m about to take my life and I’m documenting this so my family can go after King Soopers in a lawsuit unless something is done about the training and respect that associate needs to show otherwise she should NOT be in that position. I will be filling up if I’m still alive. I’m honestly probably going to kill myself because I can’t take this anymore.

Desired outcome: The associate needs training so the next person who calls suicidal needing their medication that stops suicidal thoughts doesn’t kill themselves like I’m going to.

King Soopers customers stealing from the store

Today on Next Door social media, they were talking about witnessing people stealing from the store and employees have been instructed not to intervene. Is that true? This particular store is at Smoky Hill and Arapahoe Rd. The women was complaining about Cherokee Trail High School students during their lunch break stealing food or just consuming it in the store. Store employees also saw this but did nothing. Other people chimed in about their neighborhood store and seeing the same thing. I though shoplifting was against the law. Please respond.

King Soopers People working in pharmacy and pharmacist

I've been using this pharmacy on Hancock and s academy in Colorado springs for 6mo on this work comp case. Every week I must get pain meds, I call early to get the ball moving so by closing time they might have checked there inbox from doctors filling prescription. Everytime there's a long line, and to o every person before me there's blaim on something else and why people have to wait. I'm a disabled veteran with severe PTSD and barley make it in the public so I call and make sure things are a go and so I'm no danger to myself and I be damn if I ain't up here again for 1 5 hrs waiting on this lazy, no caring, complaining employees who are rude, unprofessional, and down right sorry employees running this stores coustomers into more pain and more problems and I don't knoe jow they all have a job I swear this is the last time I waist time money and my [censored]img well being on a trash business... and in the medical field rhere should be a little bit of care or professional attitude this is terrible.

King Soopers Customer service horrible at store 150

We were told no by Teresa in the bistro when trying to order 20 piece chicken. There was no sign posted stating the limits. Each time I asked to order she said no. Teresa then stated we need to have enough chicken for the construction workers. I asked why we can't have more chicken ans she said because you didn't order. I then tried to place an order she said it will be an hour because I have other stuff to do. Then they all got silent not talking to us at all no answer to our questions just rude. I cannot believe the way we were treated in this store we were told "no" with no choice or explanation. I've never had an experience like this.
