My Brother is in the Texas prison system at the Michael Unit in Tennessee Colony, TX . He received a letter suggested that the court had made many mistakes and that for $395.00 up front that a lawyer by the name of Rangile A. Santiago Esq would plead his case for a reduction of his
sentence. After looking into this I think this is fraud and wanted to report this. You mentioned this was a problem in the FL system I think is has moved west to Texas. I hope there is a way stop them before they hurt anyone else. If you need his name it is Robert Foster #913021.
thank you for your time

My brother also received such a letter who is serving a life sentence and doesn't come up for parole until 2026. It breaks my heart that the world in which we live evolves people who scam to take advantage of families as well as their loved one in prison. I too have been researching this organization without any positive findings. It will be hard to tell him this is a Scam.

Yes, you go and get him, I cannot tell you how happy I am to hear that an attorney is going to take on these predators. I just spoke to my family member who is incarcerated at TDC and it was hard for me to tell him that this was a scam. I was hoping and thought this was a blessing in disguise. I have no idea why these lawyers who have been told about this scam has not taken action seeing as it is their good name that is being used. I began to wonder, maybe they are in on it. I know if it were me I would be making some phones calls to the FBI who claims to have a task force for such crimes on the internet. Thank you mizdeza1 for taking action, hell hath no fury...smile

I am a Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist in Texas and have practiced criminal law exclusively for over 30 years. I have practiced in both State and Federal Courts, handling trials and appeals. I have a client in TDC whose case is on direct appeal who received one of these letters. I reviewed the letter and it is my opinion that it is a scam and they are preying on the families of people desperate to get out of prison. Other than standard parole review, there is no mechanism for "sentence reduction" in Texas law as they suggest in their letter. I believe that after pocketing $395 they will ultimately send a letter advising that they have reviewed your case and are unable to assist you...

I am considering filing a grievance with the State Bar of Florida on this attorney. Mr. John Frieburg from the Manifest Non Obstante Veredicto Network is free to come after me. Attorneys know that non obstante veredicto is a latin term for a legal mechanism used in civil cases and has no application in criminal law.

My guy got a letter in the mail Friday and he sounded so happy. I kind of knew there was something wrong with this "non-profit organization" asking for money from the inmate's families Wouldn't a non -profit organization get their funding from government grants? He is serving 35 years and will be eligible for parole in 2028. They got his hopes up and many others serving long sentences and that makes me sick!

I'd like to believe 'momfightingforson' since my son (offender in TX) has asked me to research this, too. AND I'm interesting in hearing the results and/or resolution of her quest. So 'momfightingforson', please keep me posted on your findings/progress at jbmaw@aol.com, I'd be most appreciative. My son was given a minimum of 40 years before he 'might' get paroled and has missed 16 years of his daughter's life for a conviction that was based on lies told to a jury by his 'so-called friends'. Thank you in advance and good luck with your quest!

Ok, so far, I have completed much research on this organization and the attorney said to be representing it. Rangile Santiago IS listed with the Bar in Florida as being active and real. I found her information and called her personally; she answered and was very reasonable and understanding of my research. She is young and fairly new to her career, but this is pro-bono work and I am sure she is trying to build a reputation for herself so that she can advance in her career (this is very reasonable and understandable). My son is friends with a young man that is CURRENTLY working with this organization and this attorney has visited with him. I know the schools and years that Ms. Santiago graduated with her undergraduate work as well as with her J.D.. At this time, I see that there are no "real" complaints listed against this organization...i.e. not a single person is saying "I gave these people money and they didn't fulfill the obligation to me or my loved one." As far as the $395 to be collected to acquire all information from the courts pertaining to the case; when you work with ANY legal paperwork it is at least $1 per page to be printed. Most the time it is at least $2 per page to be faxed. So, I am going to try this program for my son. If they fail to fulfill the obligation as promised to me and my son, I will specifically list the issues that I find...but, if they do fulfill the obligation as promised, I will specifically list the procedure and what is achieved. I understand that $395 is a lot of money, but my child's potential future is worth every dime. 25yrs is just unreal for a first and only offense. I am not easily fooled by scams, so I find it is smart to do your own research prior to believing everything that an unknown person on the internet says...As far as I can tell, the slanderous remarks of the original complaint are unfounded. There are no specific complaints; just assumptions.

Our son is also serving an unreasonably long sentence in aTexas prisons. He also received a letter from MNN and asked me to research them. I also am glad that I did. All I am seeing is complaints or threats from MNN against people who have expressed doubts about their true motives. There aren't any success stories anywhere. If there any other organizations or help that we can get for our son that is on the up-and-up, please contact us at uta62@yahoo.com.

Thanks.

My son is in one of the Texas prisons and he received a letter from them and wanted me to contact them. I decided to do my research on this company first before sending in my money. I am so glad that I did all I am seeing is complaints, I do not see any success stories anywhere. I have yet to contact them, I think it would be a waste of time. If there any other organizations or help that I can get for my son that is legit please contact me @ shidana29@yahoo.com. Or if there is any other information about this company that I should be aware of, I just hate to write to my son and explain to him the news, he was really hoping this would help him...just have to leave it in Gods hands...

i have been looking up this organization all over the internet and so far i have found nothing but negative things about it. i wanted to do my homework on it before i got involed in this for my husband. we knew it was to good to be true. sad how these sharks are out to get people who are locked up in a cage. they must be really bad off to target people in prison. my opinion is they should be in prison this is robbery! dont mess with texas... stay out off our state. i am determend to let everyone know about this im going to call kens 5 and even get my friends and family involed in letting all of texas know about this. we have to make a stand and put a stop to these people trying to hurt our familys pretending they want to help...

Ms. Catherine A Foster Bondy is engaging in libelous behavior. He assertions on this complaint website without justification constitutes a mis-informed and potentially damaging statement that is totally without merit. We will attempt to communicate with Ms. Foster Bondy before taking legal action against her. This woman is not a client and has never been a client of Manifest Non Obstante Veredicto Network. As such she has no reason to issue a complaint against our organization. Her assumption that our organization is engaging in a "scam" and that our Director of legal services, Ms. Rangile Santiago a licensed attorney with zero complaints is anything but legitimate, is a false statement. Ms. Foster Bondy and any other persons engaging in libelous behavior hurt themselves and any other inmate families as well as inmates that may be dissuaded from using our "PRO BONO/FREE" services. If you conduct such unwarranted actions you literally force our organization to divert resources away from our charitable activities in order to bring the libelous offender to court. On a personal note to Ms. Foster Bondy we offer you the opportunity to remove the offending and libelous remarks from this any and any other media you have place them on, or we will be left no alternative other than to pursue legal remedies against you.
Thank you,
