I rang the Australian customer support area and they advised that no one had technical information other than the dealer. I wanted to find out why this happened to a car just over 6 yrs old with only 45700 on the clock. Does Mazda have a problem with this device in all its cars?. I am writing to you to seek a response as HQ in Australia are unable to help.

Desired outcome: Mazda pay for screen fix

Mazda Engine issues in cx9

My Mazda CX9 experienced a coolant leak around the cylinder head, causing rapid loss of fluid and the engine to overheat. There is a current class action over the same issue for their cx5 and cx9 models. Mazda is refusing to cover the cost of the new engine even though they are aware of the issue and outstanding class action. My car is 2018, only six years old, with 107,000 miles; service was done at the dealership. Asking me to pay over 10,000 for a new engine. There is no contact info for the warranty department. They remain hidden and refuse to negotiate.

Claimed loss: Projection 11,0000

Desired outcome: Mazda is aware of the issue with these two models and failed to do preventative maintenance. Also, they failed to let owners know, resulting in complete engine loss. Mazda is negligent and should cover the cost of the new engine.

Mazda - Availability of replacement parts

Now, I need to replace the starter on my Miata MX-5 2006. I was able to order replacement parts in 2017 from an 800 number. The parts came from Canada and was ordered by the person I talked to. Now, I have found that I can no longer do this. WHY? I was able to talk to someone about replacing my radio antennae in July,2023 in the corporate office. He...

Mazda - Mazda CX90 hazardous to health. Toxic material, phenol and gases.

Good day. In October 2023 I became the owner of 2024 Mazda CX-90 GT-P MHEV. There were no particular problems, I like the car, everything suits me, but in December I started to smell something. That was the reason why I did the air quality test. I was shocked. My car Mazda CX90 evaporates phenols and dangerous gases in the cabin; the content exceeds the...

Mazda Engine replacement

2019 mazda cx-9 2.5 turbocharged engine failure due to factory defect. Cracked cylinder head. I paid $14,900.00 for a new updated engine from mazda out of my own pocket with no help from mazda USA even after I contacted them. I’ve been a loyal customer and have purchased about 6 vehicles from mazda over the past 20 years. Totally disappointed and financially drained and stressed out over this last purchase. Sincerely Tim Humphries

Claimed loss: $589 mil pesos mexicanos

Desired outcome: Cambio de la unidad en su totalidad

Mazda Mazda parts not being genuine and defective

12-20-2023

I made an appointment after calling and complaining about a key breaking in my hand and the radio antennae not living up to expectations of performance.

July 2023 I bought a new antennae from the lakeland florida dealership. Less than two month later it was bent.

I had a new key made in march 2023. When I tried to open the trunk with it. It broke and cut me, making me bleed.

I was told that all parts were warranted for one full year by a service person when I called on 12-16-2023 and that my defective parts were covered.

When I arrived for my appointment at 10:45 a.M., this morning I was informed that when I used the parts I broke them and they are not covered.

My car is 19 years old with approximately 55,600 miles. I do not break parts because they wear out.

I called corporate and filed a complaint.

Claimed loss: 600.00

Desired outcome: new parts

Mazda - 2017 mazda 6 heated seats

While using heater function for driver's side seat, after approximately 8-10 minutes, seat became extremely hot. Luckily, I had a seat cushion behind my back up against seat back. I then began noticing a burning smell. I could not pull over on the PA TURNPIKE, so I continued to work. Upon exiting vehicle, I removed padded seat cushion to examine seat...

Mazda Corrosion on my new Mazda cx5 car bonnet ...

I am a customer from Gaborone, Botswana. I have purchased a blue color MAZDA CX5 on the 21/02/2021 Plate Number B493BOC and has a 3-year warranty period which was bought from your Barloworld dealer, Gaborone, Botswana.

I gave it for the second service to the dealer on the 03/02/2023 and since then we observed that the paint of the bonnet is being eaten away and we approached the Manager in charge and he too agreed that there is a problem with the paint being corroded on the hood and took a picture with some special instrument and he sent it to the higher authority but since then he has not come back to us since 3 months. Now we call him but does not answer our calls. Please help us solve the problem and get the car hood be repainted by the dealer at their expense or we would like to return and get our full repayment of the car.

Mazda - Ridiculous lack of warranty support

We purchased a new 2016 CX-9 Grand Touring on July 7th, 2016 which included a Mazda Extended Confidence Warranty Package which covered the vehicle end-to-end until 100000 miles or July 6th, 2024 (whichever came first). Two years ago we had a coolant leak and brought the vehicle into our local dealer (Premier Mazda in Kansas City). They talked to the head...

Mazda Lack of SD card for activating the Map System of my Mazda 6 Signature [protected]

Dear people of Mazda

Firstly, I want to congratulate you for the quality of the Mazda 6 Signature I just bought last August

I am Julio Barra (owner)

The VIN Number of my car is JM7GL4S32R1506558

I am writing from Peru, South America.

I got the car without the SD card that should activate the map system of my car, and Mazda Update Toolbox software requires it for the free 3-year update offered by Mazda.

I contacted the dealer in Peru "DERCO" and they told me that it was not included.

I wonder if there is a way to get one, either through the dealer or directly from you, considering that buying the most expensive Mazda 6 should include all the equipment functioning.

Please help me

Thank you

Julio Barra

Desired outcome: Get the SD required by Mazda Update Toolbox to activate the Map System for South America

Mazda Engine cylinder cracked

purchase a new cx 5 back in 2019 ,now with 88t miles i notice an oil leak. Riley Mazda of Stamford ct quoted the repair cost for $5217.94 replacement for head cylinder assembly and gaskets. . Overheating is the main cause for a cylinder head to crack. This cx5 never experienced overheating. Mazda released a technician service bulletin in 2019 and 2021 repair guidelines and an explanation why the head cylinder crack to some 2019 cx5

Mazda usa release a Technician Service Bulletin in 2019 and 2021

Below is the explanation on the Mazda TSB

Cracks may be caused by:

• Deformation of the exhaust manifold during usage causing unexpected force to certain areas of the cylinder head.

• Residual stress generated during production in the cylinder head material may be greater than expected. The

external force from the exhaust system when driving over bumps may cause unexpected force to certain areas of the cylinder head.

To eliminate this concern, the design of the exhaust manifold gasket and the cylinder head has been modified to reduce the force on the cylinder head.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

It’s obvious that this is a defect and Mazda should stand behind it.

Thank you

Desired outcome: Mazda usa should pay for the repairs cost

It is still happening with the 2022 models. I just got my cylinder head replaced under warranty. It's a CX-5 2.5 S Preferred with a skyactiv engine; it's not the turbo. I bought it new in March of 2022 and it only has 13,000 miles on it. There were no warning signs or symptoms other than the low oil level light coming on. I have the oil changed twice a year, so that definitely shouldn't have happened. I stopped immediately so no damage was done to the engine. Because of the panels under the car, there was no noticeable oil leak. There was no coolant leak, no smoke, no smell.

The invoice says: "Oil saturation on back of head, front cover, and undershields. Contacted hotline. Advised to inspect for crack and saturation at cyl 3 hla. Found oil seep at cyl 3 hla spot of head. Advised to replace cylinder head."

I hope the replacement head lasts... I usually keep my cars well past the warranty, but this time I may consider getting a new car when the warranty runs out.

Mazda 2018 cx5 head issue

I’m complaining for my daughter, she purchased a 2018 Mazda cx5 2 years ago. She was diligent on keeping up with scheduled maintenance. She did her homework on reading up on reviews before deciding to make the purchase. 2 weeks ago on her way to work, the head on the vehicle failed, smoke streaming, oil leaking. I have worked years in a metallurgical lab in steel mill, and am aware of the extensive testing done and the rigid parameters on the steel used in the automotive industry. My complaint is someone in the chain of this process failed, and I don’t believe my daughter should pay for their incompetence.

Desired outcome: Mazda should pay for the repairs of the vehicle

Mazda Mazda cx-5 daylight running lights

SAFETY RECALL: DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS (DLR)

Mazda Recall #: 4320A NHTSA Recall #: 20V-063 Recall Date: 02/06/20

Recall Repair Status: Repair Completed

"Mazda strongly encourages customers with vehicles affected by a recall to bring their vehicles to an authorized Mazda Dealer as soon as possible. All safety recall repairs are made free of charge." Last Updated: June 26, 2023

I brought my Mazda in when this recall was first announced and they did a replacement of the gaskets to "fix" the problem. Well that "band-aid" repair failed and now both daytime running lights have failed. I would like both headlights replaced free of charge in accordance with their own statement above. They should have replaced the headlights when I first brought it in, and now Wellesley Mazda is saying the repair is outside of the recall period. It is only outside of the recall time because they did a half-assed repair to the headlights. Wellesley Mazda is now quoting me a price of $1,232.00 plus labor for EACH headlight.

Repair: Inspect the headlights and, if needed, replace each with an improved sealing gasket and attach desulfurizing materials (gas adsorption sheets) inside the headlight housing or if the headlights are inoperable, replace the headlight unit(s).

I can't believe Mazda won't stand behind their car when a known defect has caused the failure of the headlights. Please work with me on correcting this problem.

Desired outcome: I would like both headlights replaced free of charge. It was a known issue, fixed by the dealer as cheaply as possible and the result was failure of both daytime running lights.

I have the same problem, as mine have failed again too. The NTSB said because it is a safety recall there is no expiration date. I've gotten Mazda USA to agree to replace mine.

Mazda Repo department

Spoke with customer service on 6/22/2023 to see what i needed to do to get my car back and they told me I had to pay 2,090.00 and gave me all the instructions. I did as they told me and thought today (6/23/2023) I was going to get my car back. Today, 6/23, they gave me other information, now I have to pay them 216.00 because they said they had wrong calculations. Again, I have to pay at the site they said and wait til everything processes and mostly likely get my car back on Monday and I have to pay another 135.00 to have my car there in their shop.

As a customer i am very upset. I understand its my fault for not paying on time but I feel I am being lied to, not given correct information and not treated with respect. I can not speak with manager nor supervisor because supposedly they are busy. Now, I have no way of transporting myself around until this is all clear until 6/26. I will never recommend Mazda, Mazda Financial to noone and will take other measures to get my voice heard. I did not want to do this but have no other choice.

Desired outcome: I should of just paid the amount I owed and cut me a break on this incident at least half price because I went the next day.
