I purchased a Klaussner sofa and love seat both recline on the ends. The plastic release on the love seat that allows the love seat to recline broke off in my hand. Besides looking awful I cannot get the love seat to recline without the plastic release. I purchased both items at Gordon Furniture, Berlin, New Jersey. Gordon Furniture is out of business. I called Klaussner and couldn't get a real person for over three weeks.
I finally was able to talk to their representative, Brenda. She asked me if I had the serial number and I was able to give that information to Brenda. Brenda called me back and told me she had to check with her supervisor but would try to have a tech replace the broken part and attach the cable that apparently is no longer connected. Brenda called me again. This time she told me her supervisor OK'd Klaussner paying for a tech to to fix the love seat. Within 10 minutes Brenda called me again as if she never spoke to me. She then told me she forgot she already called me. Brenda told me a tech would be in touch with me. I waited another week and left a message with Brenda (she wasn't available when I called). Brenda finally returned my call this time telling me she can mail me the plastic release but I would have to get my own tech and pay for it. A complete reverse of what I was originally told. I asked to speak to her Surpervisor. A girl named Cindy claimed to be the Supervisor. Cindy was rude and nasty. Told me to call the better business bureau but that they would do nothing to help me.
I have the orignal warranty from Klaussner but not the invoice.

Agree the stuff is junk the retailer that sold it to us went out of business and the manufacturer basically told us they can't help us sagging cushions bad fabric wouldn't keep it even if it was free! Waste of 2k !

We have a 6 month old 7 ft wide sofa-bed that has started to sag badly when the mattress is closed. The cushioning support has bent down to the point that it touches the floor. The sofa has seen very little use - very poor construction

I have had a lazy boy couch and loveseat for yhe past 9 years . So i decided to purchase a new couch and loveseat. The largest mistake i ever made was to buy KLAUSNER ! JUNK! seams coming apart, frame tearing fabric under cushions, fabric on cushions loose and wrinkeled, cushions sagging bad, and the most terrible thing is my son fell asleep on the couch and his hand got under the cushion and cut his hand on a staple, , reall nice furniture thank klausner for putting out such a great peice of JUNK for me to have to pay them 1600.00 t buy it and 17.00 dollars to take it to the dump a year Later ... I HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEBODY TO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I MADE ... THANKS KLAUSNER S------T

I have had 2 leather groups from Klaussner. The first group I have had for 10 years and still looks great. The second I bought one year ago and still looks great. Makes me wonder what you people do to your furniture. Humm!

Well hate to disagree with everyone here, but I bought a Living room set about 6 months ago. It still looks and feels like new. I will return here periodically and update on how my satisfaction continues over time

Wish I had read all of the comments before purchasing Klaussner furniture two years ago. It is the worst furniture on the market. Its just my husband and I, the furniture is junk. I am so embarrassed for anyone to see this furniture. The cushion on the sofa and chairs sag and the cushions on the sofa sag so bad that it looks like the sofa is not level. Hopefully I can stop someone from spending good money on junk store merchandise. We are in the process of purchasing new furniture, and too ashamed to give this to a thrift store. Will go in the trash where it belonged to begin with. Please don't ever buy this name of furniture.

So i purchased a new house, it was a short sale so it took me 3 months to close on it. During this time i began picking out my furniture bed/ dresser etc... after i finally move in and begin assembling my bed i find the drawers do not fit the slats are too short and the support legs are too long, basically the bed wont work. After a few phone calls to the manufacturer i find they have limited parts available and they will take 30-60 days to get here! so i sleep on a spare bed for that time. When the parts get here(72 days later) (even though i gave them lots of pics and dimensions) i find they send me the same drawers and not even the parts i told them i need, now they say that model is discontinued and i can no longer get parts. Ohh and i can't return it because the dealer i bought it from is now out of business. Big money for a half complete bed, stay away from this company, all there dealers seem to go out of business (probably do to pissed of customer's like me who paid a ton for crap) and the discontinue there models and don't keep parts around. I would understand if i broke something two years down the road, but an incomplete bed straight from the man. and no parts to fix it. NEVER AGAIN WILL ANYONE I KNOW BUY KLAUSSNER FURNITURE

I bought a klausner sofa and loveseat from mathis brothers in Ontario, CA. When it was delivered the loveseat had a rip on the arm. Mathis brothers replaced it. In less than a year, the throw pillows faded and have become limp, the springs went out and the couch sinks when you sit in it, the seams if the cushions no longer line up with the stuffing, and the material is balled up and peeling! Mathis brothers no longer carries klausner because of all the problems they hav had with it. When I spoke to mathis brothers they initially gave me the run around for a couple months but eventually agreed to replace it with a better more durable brand. Don't be fooled. It may look nice but it won't last you! I tried calling klausner to give them a piece if my mind but there is only a recording. Go figure...

THe coomon theme here guys appears to be that Klaussner sales faulty furnitur throughcompanies and allows them to sale extended warranty knowing that they do not accept extended warranties. Then when the business goes out of business as Infinity Leather did, then you are stuck with paid for non-existent warranty and broke down furniture. I will be contacting my local news to do a story on what appears to be a scam to me and the better businee bureau then my lawyer. I would do the same if I were you guys.

I totally agree that Klaussner is great at takuing money from cutomers but not upholding the warranty. I purchased a couch, over sixe chair, ottomon, and chaise. My set cost well over $5, 000.00. When they delivered my chair it was loose and considered to be broken. They refused to put it back on the truck and send me another one. Instead they gave me this crap about it being custom made so they would send a gut out to fix it. Two weeks later he showed up only to tell me that the screws were left out of the bottom part of the frame, once he removed the leather to see. I purchased all warranty even the extended that included stuffing the goose down pillow cushions when they wore down. I have been callnig the messaghe only customer care line for 2 months now trting to get someone to come out and see about my couch that has the loose back(frame issue) and to look at the little sagging pillows on a couch that is not even old. This company is pathetic and totally misrepresents themselves. I have even filed a complaint with the better business bureau. DONT BUY KLAUSSNER FURNITURE, NON OF THE GREAT SELLING POINTS ARE TRUE.

I purchased Klaussner brand sofa, chair and ottoman through American TV in Iowa. I purchased the version is Realistic and is red ribbed fabric. I have had a terrible time with the products. The fabric balls up. The items were originally purchased in March of 2007. In June of 2007 I had to have a new back put on my couch because where the joints were sewn were starting to come apart. I called about the couch specifically for the same reasons again in November 2009 and was told that my couch was out of warranty and that the company American used for the 7 year warrant I purchased had gone out of business. They were not offering any supplement/replacement for this and I was refunded my money. I have since pushed the issue with American and still as of 4/22/2010 have gotten no resolution. They are willing to come out and put a new back on the couch but at my cost. The manufacturing had a defect, it was attempted to be fixed and that wasn’t done properly.

Like the other ladies, I purchased a sofa and two chairs from Klaussner in Greensboro, NC. The day it was delivered, I noticed what I thought was something on the sofa. I tried to wipe it off, but to no avail. I waited 2 weeks and all the time area's of all three pieces were getting these huge whitish looking areas on them. I called and they sent a tech out. He took a few pictures and reported to Klaussner that it was a characteristic of the fabric. He was sent back to our house for some other things about the furniture and told me I would hear something in ten days. After a month I had heard nothing so I called the store. I even took the cushions to the store, but they acted liked they didn't care and told me they would send a different tech, which they did. He told me I should hear something in four days, but it has been almost two weeks and they have not called me. This is the ugliest furniture I have ever bought and would not recommend or buy any of their products again. They do not care.

Like Jayne I have been dealing with the same issue just this week. There must be only two people that work in that office Brenda and Cindy. Two supports to the frame on my couch broke they had a guy come out who told my husband in his opinion it was poorly constructed which I agree. The tech was only alloted 45 minutes to get his work done if it could not be fixed within that amount of time klaussner has do decide how to procede. So Klaussner told me the tech indicated that the couch was abused and the warranty did not cover that, everything else about the couch is in great condition. I have no idea where they would have gotten that the couch was abused. I guess I will try the better business bureau and the attorney general. I would not recommend or purchase their products again.

I agree they are rude. I am having a problem getting my furniture that I already paid deposit for in my local furniture store and they are not even answering their phone. The sofa set I ordered is supposedly Klaussner. So out of desperation, I called Klaussner and explained that I just wanted to make sure that this business is indeed an affiliate of theirs and that I'm not being scammed. She had some rude remarks, put me on hold 4 or 5 times, then just up and hung up on me. I know I wasn't disconnected, I heard a faint sort of ...bye then hung up. I called again but no one answers.

I purchached a klaussner sectional sofa 3 years ago. It looked okay for about 6months to a year. I paid over 2000 dollars for this hunk of junk. The fabric has deteriated, the pillows are almost non existant, the cushions have all but fallen apart, the springs are shot on one piece so bad I had to put a piece of plywood under the cushion. This sofa is the worst purchace I have ever made. It became embarrasing to have friends over and have them think I got this at a garage sale. There are no children living in this house to do this. It is a clear case of workmanship at its worst. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from anything made by klaussner as you possibly can.
