IHOP Terrible service

I flew in to State College, PA from Colorado Springs, CO on 3-5-24. Took a Lyft, maybe Uber, to the Super 8 hotel. In the same paking lot is I-Hop# 3404. Got there about 9:45 pm and was told they wouldn't serve me because they had already shut things down. I don't have a car to get around so I opted to give them another chance. Went there for dinner and was warned by an outgoing customer the service was terrible and they had been there almost 2 hours. I chose to get to go, figuring it may be faster. Got a cup of coffee but no regular creamer, only flavored, and nobody to to get any from. Waited about an hour for a single to go meal. Requested they remove the coffee from the bill and they did. Another customer at a table near mine has complained they had been there over an hour and a half, never offered refills on drinks and food took forever to get there. I heard the manager tell the waiter that she was going to sit 2 customers and then take a break. Multiple customers observed, wait times unbelievable, and she's going on break? I have multiple pictures to show they were not anywhere near busy. Virtually empty so no excuse for this

IHOP - Senior 55+ breakfast menu

Today I went to IHOPE located at 588 S. Alafaya TR, Orlando, FL 32823. I placed my order from the senior 55+ menu and I asked for the pancake in my order to be exchanged for a French toast, however; I was charged $3,00 for the swap, asked for scrambled well done and received a scrambled full of white, which grossed me out, unable to eat it. IHOP gluten free

Went to I Hop in North Dartmouth with my 3 yr. old grandson who has allergies to gluten and dairy and was told that there was nothing they could provide him. I asked if they could grill a hamburger wrapped in aluminum foil to avoid cross contamination and was told they had no aluminum foil. I asked if they could microwave a hot dog. They do not sell hot dogs. Was told that they would have to shut down the grill to clean it to grill the hamburger and of course, that was not possible. Extremely disappointed and can you imagine how my 3 yr. old felt.

I guess I Hop does not cater to kids with allergies. Discrimination!

IHOP IHOP International House Of Pancakes

Management at the 3020 Tulare Street location in Fresno are horrible. They mistreat their employees. They humiliate them and trash them they do not provide team work. I witness 2 a district manager and a shift leader supervisor of which I have witnessed before slander, cussing, and hitting of the employee. This is management hitting a male server. Now I am witnessing management yell cuss and humiliate a young female by the name of Jennifer. Management like this should not be in customer service these ladies need to be terminated.

Claimed loss: No loss just feel embarrassed for the employees that are being mistreated

IHOP Horrendous

Visited this restaurant on 1/27/24.  Had the worst service I've ever had in my life.  Not one person working there cared. 

 

1.  The food was brought on in two trips 10 to 15 minutes apart.  When the server or bus boy arrived with the first order I asked him which omelet it was that he set down.  He said he didn't know but he'd find out. He never returned. 

2.  10 minutes later we cut into the omelet to see which it was.  We had ordered two similar omelets.  We determined it was mine.  It was already cold. I waited another few minutes for the rest of the family's meals to be brought to the table.

  

3.  As soon as the rest of the meals were brought, I asked for more butter.  The waitress said ok and that she would get it.  She returned 15 minutes later.  I told her I didn't need it any longer because it would not melt because the pancakes were then cold also.

4.  They charged for items that were never brought to the table.  Example: the add on of peppers into my aunt's omelet. I had to point this out.

5.  My son ordered a French Toast Combo.  "Berry Mix" When it arrived it was just strawberry.  I waited for the waitress to check in with us but I had to flag her down.  By the time she returned with the "Mixed Berries" in a bowl, he was done eating.

6.  The credit card machine was down.  I was not told this.  After 20 minutes I had to flag the waitress down again. Then she told me this.  I waited another 20 minutes.  During that time, I asked the hostess, a bus boy and our waitress to ask the manager to come over.  He never did.  I was CERTAINLY NOT leaving the restaurant without signing my credit card slip and cancelling a line through tip.  I waited.  I waited.  I waited.  Finally, it came.  I drew a line through the tip and handed the waitress a tip over 20 percent.  I did not know how much of the problems were her fault.  However, she was a very crappy, inattentive waitress who did not care about her customer's experiences, obviously.  Not even a tiny bit.

7.  I saw the manager smiling and laughing with customers at two tables as I was leaving.  I waited for him to finish and then I was going to flag him down.  He disappeared into the kitchen.  I waited for five minutes and then left, never having spoken with him.

The mushrooms in my cold omelet were surprisingly good.  I wondered what type of mushroom it was.  That is all of the positive I can offer.

IHOP, do not contact me with words of apology, coupons or credits.  There is absolutely NOTHING you can do or say that will make me return to this restaurant, or any other IHOP.

You can however speak with the server and manager if you care to, which is doubtful.

IHOP - Bill

I was at the Wallingford CT IHOP on 12/7 for breakfast with two other people. I wanted to use my pan points as well as one other person and was told no, only one per table, which we were fine with. I used mine. When the bill came, they split "my" pan points with the other two people, so my meal (or part of it) was not fully redeemed. This was unfair to me...

IHOP The manager @ store # 4478 it Veterans Day she was very disrespectful.

We had a list going with names for the Veterans to get a table she threw it away she was rude $ disrespectful. This was my first time eating at this ihop and last College Dr is very pleasant. My waiter was Chris he was amazing he tried to smooth it over he was the reason We stayed. She handle the stuff horrible everyone is not meant to be in charge. It was stressful but she represented the company and it was not a good look.

Claimed loss: 19.75 for my meal and it was not worth being miserable and mistreated.

IHOP Waiter and hostess

The waiter with short dark hair asked me how I was doing while I was eating my meal. I said that "you do not have to shout loud enough for the customers in the next row to hear." the lady hostess /greeter with the red hair kept looking/staring at me as if she was trying to make me feel that I was not welcomed there.

IHOP ihop at 1212 springfield ave irvington nj

on 10/26/2023 I went to ihop to get my regular grits and bacon it was 907 pm. when the hostess brought my bag out I checked it the grits was turned upside down and was very watery like soup, I asked her can they remake it or refund me. The hostess told me she couldn't refund me because she didn't know how to do it. Then she insulted me and asked me do I want a salade instead I said no then she said what about a bowl of fruits. She then informed me they couldn't remake the grits. I then ordered the Oreo waffles, when she came out, I asked her can I have syrup there was none in the bag she proceeded to the kitchen yelling in her language (I believe she was African) came out and gave me the syrup with an attitude. This lady was so unprofessional I usually go to ihop every day to get my dinner for work after today the way I was treated and insulted I will not return there.

Desired outcome: this lady needs to be trained to be professional and not talk about a customer in her language. she also needs to learn how to process a refund.

IHOP incorrect order

I placed an order that was delivered by DoorDash and my order was not complete, I ordered a side o sausage links and they gave me bacon which I do not eat and my hash browns were missing. I called the store to let the manager know and he told me to call the driver for them to come back or if I wanted a refund. I told him I wasn’t calling the driver and wanted a refund, he put me on hold and after about 5 minutes I hung up and when I tried calling back they had taken the phone off the hook because I tried for almost 10 minutes calling back to a busy signal

IHOP Horrible manager

I just left your IHOP in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. I am horrified at the way I was treated by your manager, and this is why!... A 4 crepe item was listed on your menu with toppings. I told the waitress I would like that plain with no toppings, just cream cheese inside and sour cream on top. She repeated my request as it was unusual. I confirmed she was correct. The item listed for 10.99 on the menu. Much to my HORROR when my bill came, I was charged 10.99 twice. I called the waitress over to the table and inquired why? She responded that the manager told her to do that. She spoke with broken English and a foreign accent. But she did a great job! I said this is NOT acceptable and I want to tell the manager myself. He came to the table and started babbling about how cream cheese "is expensive" and I, "after all ordered sour cream on top". I said to the tune of 10.99 extra? He was obnoxious and rude, and I was so offended!~ I will never return to IHOP again. You need to remind that man who pays his salary... it is not you, it is me, the customer. Your business does not do well enough to make customers angry by gouging them. He was an absolute [censored] and I cannot tell you in any terms how angry I am. He even tried to tell me that it was explained to me when I ordered what the cost would be, he is a Lier... then why did the waitress have to ask him how to bill it AFTER the order was taken. NO ONE EVER TOLD ME ABOUT ANY 10.99 EXTRA CHARGE. The waitress is innocent. The manager does NOT SERVE YOUR COMPANY WELL!

IHOP Totally unprofessional and disrespectful service

This morning, my wife and I decided to eat at this particular IHOP restaurant (IHOP Store 5656) at 500 Buckhorn Rd. in Mebane, NC. There appeared to be three tables occupied and a customer waiting for takeout near the register in front.

One waitress (#151 Alaysia) appeared to be waiting on those tables. We stood near the register for a few minutes, and she yelled at us and motioned for us to be seated at the table (14/1) according to the receipt. Then we waited almost 10 minutes before she returned to the table to ask if we were ready to order. She did not take our drink order first!

It was almost 15 minutes later, and we were about to leave when she returned to the table to tell us that she would bring us our drinks when the coffee had brewed, noting at this point she did not even bring us water. It was more than 20 minutes after we were seated before she brought the coffee and water.

A few minutes later more people were in the restaurant and they were seated immediately. She did ask them for their drink order, which was brought within minutes while we were still waiting for our drinks! She finally brought our drinks about 10 minutes later. She did not bring silverware or straws. My wife actually had to go to the island where the register was located and she found one setting of silverware that we had to use to stir our coffee.

At this point, it would be easier to simply list what happened in bulleted order:

I use the term unprofessional and disrespectful service because three other customers in the restaurant at the time we got there were black and there was one other customer who was white. The waitress was black.

Apparently, the other black customers had waited a while for their orders and their orders were not complete. The white customer was asked repeatedly, "Was he okay", while she repeatedly told the black customers that their orders would be completed shortly.

In almost 30 minutes at this point, she never told us the status of our order or when it would be coming out of the kitchen!

During this time, a party of three other white people and a single white gentleman who was seated 15 and 25 minutes respectively after us had already received their drinks, while we had asked repeatedly for different things!

When our food finally came out more than 35 minutes later, the table with three white people already had their food; she had one plate going to the white gentleman, which he took first, although we were much closer to the kitchen, and then finally brought our food minus my pancakes which she said she would get in a few minutes!

I did not receive my pancakes until another 20 minutes had passed and we were about to leave; time spent in the restaurant was now nearly an hour - I did not eat them; she also brought the check a minute later, which I paid online!

The only time we were waiting for my pancakes; apparently a supervisor came into the restaurant along with the delivery, and they all stood back in the kitchen for approximately 10 minutes, talking loudly and laughing while I was still waiting for the rest of my order. I knew the gentleman who came in was a supervisor because her attitude changed from being extremely rude to us to now using the word "sweetie"!

She did not apologize for her lack of attention during the service!

She did not apologize for taking so long to take our order and bring our food!

She did not inquire as to how the food tasted, which was largely cold!

She did not bring a steak knife as I ordered sirloin tips!

To put it succinctly, we waited nearly an hour. The service was totally unprofessional, totally disrespectful, and borderline racist. My wife and I are diabetics which was a major reason why we were going to leave because we had to eat and there was no earthly reason why it took that long as we have been in this particular location before when it was much busier, and there was an older white waitress who worked who took care of us very professionally and very quickly. From what we could observe none of the orders were brought out complete except to the four white people who came in quite a while after we did, and it was quite obvious who she paid attention to!

It was by far the worst service I've ever received at an IHOP and the worst service I have received in a restaurant in many years, and I am 67 years old! I do have the receipt and am quite sure if the place has cameras they can review my statement on the footage. The check number on the receipt is number 1494 and the total bill without tip is $34.75.

The time stamped on the receipt was 10:38 AM which is when she took our order which was a full 15 minutes after we arrived and she brought the bill at 11:23 AM, at which time I had just received my pancakes and the actual food was brought out only 10 minutes earlier.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response. I would like an apology. And I would like a refund as people should not have to pay for such terrible service!

IHOP The fruit

I've been a customer for 15 plus years of the store 25619 I-45 North in Woodlands TX. I've never had a complaint until now. 2 weeks in a row I've eaten breakfast. Not wanting pancakes i got fruit instead. It was the only thing I had both weeks that was the same. I got sick 2 weeks in a row. Diarrhea and Nausea both weeks. IHOP Incorrect order and overcharged.

On Sept. 04, 2023 I stopped by IHOP with my wife. I ordered the new breakfast biscuit combo and actually pointed to it on the menu. The menu stated biscuit with two eggs and a side of hash brown potatoes and a choice of coffee or soft drink for $9.00. When order came it was only the breakfast biscuit. I already had the coffee. Waitress said she miss understood. However when she brought the receipt, it was for $9.00 (no adjustment for no hash browns. Waitress refused to change the charge and said she gave me the coffee free. But she didn’t. She also charged my wife extra for her pancakes. The menu said two pancakes for $7.00 and she charged $3.99 for each pancake ($7.98).

IHOP Sirloin Tips

Yesterday I ordered the Sirloin Tips because I am Keto and meat is safe on my way of eating.

I was very shocked when the first bite tells me that there is sugar on them, lots of sugar. I spoke with a manager about this and he showed me the ingredients and sugar was the first one.

I'm very disappointed that IHOP is sneaking unhealthy ingredients into their meals and not posting this on the menu. There are lots of diabetics and people who cannot eat sugar and they should be aware if this is in items that NORMALLY don't have sugar in them. What else do you put sugar in that doesn't normally have sugar?

We would like to think that we can make good choices when we eat out and IHOP is no longer on my list of safe places to eat.

Desired outcome: If the food item is sweet, then post that on the title: "Sweet sirloin tips"I know the word is getting around that you put pancake batter in your omelets, and this is good. We can choose not to order these or ask to not put batter in.
