Harley Davidson Wiley x transition sunglasses that do not transition

Hello

I had purchased a pair of Wiley X sunglasses from Black Jack Harley Davidson in Florence SC , for a Christmas present
I told them when I purchased them, that they were for Christmas, they assured me that the return would
Have been accepted.
The sun glasses are supposed to transition, well they do NOT darken AT ALL ! not even slightly!
When I took them back to the dealer for an exchange, not a return, I was told I only had 30days to return
I told them what I was told, with lots of back and forth I walked out of the dealer ship, extremely unhappy
With a pair of sunglasses that cost me 150.00 ( they were on sale from 195.00) that do not transition, and
Have not been worn, I would really like to exchange them, not return !
I’m a loyal Harley Davidson rider, plus stock holder since the 1980
Please help me!

Harley Davidson Discontinued part for a 2021 Heritage Softail

I purchased a 2021 Heritage Softail in 2021 and recently the left-hand side saddle bag reflector came off and I lost all components. I tried to purchase the components which consist of stick-on reflector, mount and push on nuts, through a recognized Harley Davidson Dealership in Australia. I have since been advised that the mount part No. [protected] of this assembly has been discontinued but all other parts can be purchased. Why has this part been discontinued? Are there any other parts of this model motorcycle which have been discontinued? I wanted to keep my motorcycle original.

Harley Davidson Defective Sportster

I purchased a 2014 Sportster 1200 from Wildfire HD in Villa Park Illinois on October 8, 2023.

A few weeks later I noticed a rattling noise. We found that the belt guard is being held on with ZIP TIES!

And the bike has TWO DIFFERENT SIZE shocks.

I spoke to Jeanna, the GM and she had me bring the bike in. She said they would take care of it.

I brought the bike in on Sunday, October 29. I attempted to call the store yesterday ~ twice ~ and no one answered.

Desired outcome: I would like my newly purchased bike back with NO ZIP TIES holding it together and two normal sized shocks.

Harley Davidson I have booked HArley X440 in India with Booking number [protected]

I have booked the above bike with a promised delivery by October . The Dealership (M/s Prakash Motors has shut shop for Renovation) and the Harley Davidson India has refused to shift our Bookings to the Solitary Dealer in Bangalore ( M/s Tusker Motors ) which also refuses to entertain our Grievance.

The Harley Customer Care India is pathetic as they aint know who their master is. We only receive an automated reply for the email sent to [protected]@harley-davidson.com with no respite or resolution.

Harley Davidson Sales and service

First bike I bought at Gasoline Alley Harley Davidson in Kelowna Bc was not ready when promised, waited till closing to pick it up. I live close to 4 hours away over some passes. The second new bike wasn't even out of the crate when I arrived. they gave me a loaner for 2 weeks till it was ready. Remember that 4 hour ride there and back ,,twice ! made a appointment for service, made it two hours to there and she phoned, said couldn't do it.

Now , new owners, the sales manager was fired so I as many thought it would be okay to go there again. Phoned sales to buy a new bike , he phoned back and I asked if they would be open on Saturday yes , truth and reconciliation day , yes they would be open . I made it two hours and friend called , they were closed! 4 degrees in the passes another 2 hours home..

Told never to complain about the dealership as any service or sales in the future would be non existent, past that stage now though

Harley Davidson 2022 Roadglide Limited

I finally talked my wife into letting me spend over $35k on the new Roadglide Limited only to find out that it does not have all the features I thought it would. You mean to tell me that Tire Pressure Monitor System is not included in cost of that bike? Even my 2018 Indian Chieftan had TPMS installed on it. I also found out that the information screen, where engine data is displayed, does not work either. What a crock. To me that is just a direct reflection of going cheap and misleading the customer. I believe I will just go and get me another Indian once enough time has passed where my wife wont kill me.

Desired outcome: Stop shorting the customer. IN this day and age a TPMS should be standard on any touring bike, especially one that costs as much as mine did.

Harley Davidson Authentication of vin - harley davidson v-rod, vin: 1hd1hhh1xgd801938

Dear Harley Davidson Team,

This Vehicle below has been imported from the USA to Australia, complied and plated with a RAWS (MVSA) Used Import plate In Australia, with approval no: 1015741/120 in 01/2020

NB: Kindly see attached Photo of the Used Import plate, and the OEM VIN stamped on the vehicle

Unfortunately, this VIN does not appear on the NEVDIS (The National Exchange of Vehicle and Driver Information System), (NEVDIS | Austroads) so we are unable to proceed with registering this vehicle.

We have contacted NEVDIS, and they have advised us that they want a confirmation of this VIN to be authentic.

NEVDIS replied with the below explanation of the digit error,

They have also advised that they will not upload this VIN number to their database until it is corrected or they have written confirmation from the manufacturer.

As VIN 1HD1HHH1XGD801938 has decoded with an invalid check digit it means that one or more characters may be incorrect.

A check digit is a character which is the result of a mathematical calculation of values assigned to each character within the VIN.

This is a security measure which aids in preventing fraud and VIN tampering. Therefore if a Check digit is incorrect the manufacturer must verify the VIN and provide the corrected VIN.

Please note that a number of Manufacturers are changing the VIN Structure to incorporate a check digit.

Therefore if a VIN was issued under a different structure to what we have in our system we will require in writing, confirmation form the manufacturer that the VIN is Valid.

NEVDIS want an email or letter from Harley Davidson themselves explaining why VIN 1HD1HHH1XGD801938 has an invalid check digit when being decoded in NEVDIS.

Could you kindly supply the information that is requested from NEVDIS, so that we're able to proceed with registering this vehicle here in Australia.

Harley Davidson H-D remote garage door opener

Trying to pair a garage opener transmitter with the main garage opener and not having much luck. I had a garage door installer make the connection to the main unit opener wire and there's a signal but nothing happens except the wall unit turns off & on again. Contacted my dealer for support and they gave me the harley store 800 number. I was just looking for tech support to help me troubleshoot the issue. No one seems to know where tech support is or if there is one. Harley store did not know what I was talking about and refer me back to the dealership. Can someone step up I already spent the $ on this item and it's not working.

Desired outcome: Tech support to call me at [protected] so we can troubleshoot the issue and get to the bottom of what's going on with the Harley Davidson Remote Garage opener.

Harley Davidson water pump

Just had to replace my water pump on my bike, (40K mile) found out that from [protected] models that Harley Davidson was aware of a water pump defect yet failed to issue a recall! Why? Your bikes are Not cheap and as a AMERICAN company you should stand behind you product! $1000.00 bucks for a part that should be covered! Shame on you!

Harley Davidson False Website information

This is in regard to the Reno, NV HD Dealer and the Death Valley CA HD Dealer. I had sent the Death Valley HD emails and a message on Facebook and never got a reply until my last try. I was asking about a Yamaha Bolt they had on a clearance sale. When I finally got ahold of someone he lied to me about contacting me and lied to me about the Motorcycle. He finally said they sold it but it is still listed on their website just where it has been for a number of days. I decided to go and see what the Reno NV HD had and to my surprise they had the same exact 2019 Yamaha Bolt with the same price, same mileage and everything was exactly what the Death Valley HD had on their site. I don't appreciate the Death Valley HD lying to me about too many things. Something very strange, wrong and maybe even illegal. This really needs to be looked into before I go to the trouble of making an appointment with my Attorney, I would like some answers.

The following events prompt me to write this because I feel it is important for Harley Davidson to appear as a leader in fair trade, honesty, and integrity. I purchased from Barnett Harley Davidson a 2018 Tri Glide. I was so proud that Johnny Hernandez could put together a package I could live with. About a week later I noticed that the trike was very rough riding, so I took it to my certified mechanic and left it with him to check out. He told me the shocks (both) were out, not working. It cost me $400 plus install to have that done right. Then the weather was not good for a while so I had to place it in my garage until all settled down. I went on a small ride with friends to find the oil pressure light came on, stayed on for a period of time then went off, then on again. I did take the trike to the mechanic on Monday and had to leave it. He found the trike low on oil, which was supposed to be checked at the dealership, then found the trike needed a full clutch pack, and a primary chain replaced. This surprised me because I was told that the trike was gone through with a fine tooth come and all was great. I spent $731.00 on a new clutch pack plus $120 on a primary chain plus installation, the $120 included the installation on the primary chain, but the clutch pack price did not include the installation. I then went for a ride with friends on June 25th to find again the oil pressure light again came on, then off, then on, also the front lights would go dim then bright, then dim again, then bright. Keep in mind I have put less than 1000 miles on the trike. Johnny, my salesperson has tried so hard to make things right, he went to bat for me and told me the boss authorized an in-store $300 credit, this was before the light problem started. He has gone to the boss and tried to have them trade the 2018 and get me into a 2023 , however, my now payment of $560.18 could not be met on a new one. I praise Johnny for doing his best to help me, I even purchased a 2010 Softail Heritage from him, he really cares about his customers. As corporate people you may not have the time to even read this, however, I just thought I would bring this to your attention, I can no longer defend Harley Davidson to my friends I ride with , they are riding Hondas. Meanwhile I guess I am stuck with a piece of junk.

Harley Davidson 2023 Road King

Purchased a 2023 Road King 5/31. At 200 mile motorcycle developed a oil leak. Brought bike back to dealer and dealer said bad o ring. Picked up motorcycle drive home and motorcycle was still leaking oil. Brought bike back to dealer and was told their was a hole in the fromt cylinder. Called dealer and was told I could trade bike for a new bike at a $5000.00 or the dealer saud they would fix. 2 oil leaks with 250 mile. I believe dealer should refund my money or give me a new bike. I understand about lemon law but 250 miles with major issues

Harley Davidson Insurance customer service

I received a phone call just now about the status of my bike. I had an accident and almost lost my left eye. The bike just stopped on the highway. Anyway, the Rep called to give the update and asked if I had questions, my only question was if there was an answer to what happened. He said, "I don't know, I wasn't there". As if I didn't know that. I'm well aware that I was riding my bike. It was rude and very disrespectful. I would think that he could figure out that I was asking if the dealer might have written the cause of the accident. I'm riding this complaint because the Reps should certainly know that this is not acceptable.

Harley Davidson 2016 fat boy

I purchased a used 2016 fat boy September 1st 2022 in Slidell Louisiana it was used had 6800 mi bike is fine but 6/18/23. I had a strap come out of swing-arm bag which wrapped around tire, the hook banged up chain cover /finder and ripped the wires out of rear blinker lights, I proceeded to fix dents and wiring but they were short which required me to take blinkers off to rewire but as I went to assemble the bolts and whole on fender didn’t line up it was offset as I looked there was a whole capped off a 1/4 inch further back when cap removed there was hole lines up to run wires through but if I do such I’ll have a extra hole as I thought and looked at situation it looks like it was a bad design that was reworked to throw on and Mickey Mouse wire to go through new hole and wrapped back to go through fender hole it’s a crying shame if Harley did this to save a buck which without accusing looks like a possibility I paid 21k out the door cash from a dealer in Slidell, Mike Bruno’s I’m asking to look into and see if this may have been possibility cause 1st and only other owner which bike was repo from does not make sense he would have done for a 1/4 movement and no other design changes the bike only had 6800 mi which in California it’s still recognized as a new bike the fact I may have purchase a bike that may have been Mickey Moused to save a buck and cause me a headache trying to fix bike what I’d like to know if can find out this was a manufacturing issue and sold a less than perfect design I’d like to see about getting mounts that run along outside of fender to help hold it on given to me to fix this flaud design I got for 21k! Please let me know if you know about a bad reworked part being installed in any 2016 Harley fat boys with the 110 screamin eagle I appreciate your help!
