Hannoush Jewelers Terrible everything

My fiance purchased my custom-made engagement ring at Hannoush, so I decided that I would try going through them to purchase his wedding band. Rob and I had gone to the store in the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, NH at least ten times, to look at bands and to get my ring cleaned. We had finally picked out a band for him, and we had gone to look at it so many times that I had it memorized, exactly which ring it was and what his size is. I went in to the store again on August 26th, without Rob, to order it. The salesman got the ring out of the case, I MADE SURE that it was the correct one, then he wrote down the item number, ordered it, and I paid half of the price as a down payment to have it made. Two weeks later, I received a call saying that that ring was done and had been shipped to the store, that I could come pick it up whenever I was available. I went in on Sunday, the 8th to pick it up, and when we opened the bag to make sure it was the right ring, it was not. The ring ordered was a WOMEN'S band, and was the wrong type of metal (the ring was white tungsten, when I had ordered the dark). The saleswoman and I immediately went over to the case, I showed her the RIGHT band, and she apologized profusely and said she was going to order the right one. Two days later, while I was in class and unable to answer my phone, I received a call from a different salesman, whom I had never met before, explaining why he thinks the wrong one was ordered, who then proceeded to tell me he was going to go ahead and place the order for the WHITE tungsten carbide ring. By the time I was able to call them back, the store was closed, so I decided I would call them the next day. When I did, the same salesperson who had left me the voicemail had answered. When I told him that the band I oringinally ordered and had already half paid for was the darker tungsten, all he had to say was that he had already placed the order for the white one, and proceeded to say "Hmmmm. What number can I reach you back at?" I need to do some research and call you back."
At this point, I have already been to the store 3 times, which is about 45 minutes around trip from my house, and I now have to drive to the store for the 4th time, to show them ONE MORE TIME which band it was that I ordered, hope they order the right one, then go back again to pick it up. And after all is said and done, I will have made five 45 minute long trips, just to order ONE RING, and I am still not confident that the ring I will receive will be the right one. Hannoush is clearly understaffed with part-time workers who aren't committed to the job, which is why in the process of ordering this ring I have spoken to 4 different people, none of whom will take responsibility for ordering the wrong ring in the first place. Also, out of the 4 employees I have spoken to, only ONE of them has apologized to me, and seemed like she actually may have felt bad. I will NEVER spend another dime here, which is a shame because my custom made engagement ring is beautiful, and we wanted to have a matching custom made band to match it. I guess we will be doing that somewhere else.

Hannoush Jewelers Awful everything

Several years ago, my wife bought me an expensive Rado watch from Hanoush Jewelers at the Natick Mall as an anniversary present. I love the watch and wear it all the time. At the beginning of February I went in to the store to order a replace leather watchstrap. This took three weeks to come in.

When I went to pick it up, the store manager tried to replace the strap, but was unable to and said that he would have to send it to the watch repair company to have the strap changed. He said that this would take 1-2 weeks.

Two weeks later, when I called to find out where my watch was, I was told that a part was needed and this part had been ordered from Rado and that they would notify me when the part came in.

After repeated complaints to find out where my watch was, I was promised that the part had been shipped to the repair center, and that I could pick up my watch yesterday. When I went to pick up my watch, the store manager apologetically told me that the part had not been shipped to the repair center, and that Rado was now showing the part on backorder with no expected ship date, and that they had no idea when the watch would be repaired.

At this stage, I know I am being given the runaround, but and not sure if I am being given the runaround by the jeweler or by Rado. The only thing that I know is that it should not take over three months and counting with no end date in sight to have a watch strap replaced.

I fully realize that this issue is not of “major importance”, but the watch has a lot of sentimental value to me and I would like to be able to wear it again. Any assistance that you can provide will be much appreciated.

I brought an old chain into Hannoush in Plattsburgh, NY to sell. It was good but uncertain of the type because the karat stamp was worn down. I was helped by a young woman who told me she would test the chain but thought from looking at it that it was 10kt. I told her that was fine but if we could still test it that would be good. Another woman came over and took the chain to do the scratch test and made two lines and used 10k and 14k acid. As I watched her do the test she tried to conceal what she was doing and told me the chain tested good for 10k and the acid had eaten through the 14k. It did not as I watched the test. She then offered me $33 stating the chain was a little over 2 grams in weight. I did not see her weigh it. Then she told me the store had no money and she would have to write a check. I declined because the whole situation seemed shady to me. I took the chain to another shop where not only did it test at 14k as I suspected but, it also weighed 5.06 grams.

I was paid the proper amount and completed the transaction. Because of this incident of dishonesty with Hannoush I will never go there again and will make sure everyone I know is advised of their malicious and dishonest practices.

I went to Hannoush Jewelers for my wife's engagement ring. I purchased a very expensive diamond ring. And the owner Albert Hannoush switched the diamond out in my wife's ring after I bought it and put a less expensive diamond in it. He didn't realize that I have been a Jeweler gemologist for over 20 years and inspected the diamond before I bought it. When I confronted him he got very angry but never denied what I know he did. I would never recommend them to anyone!
