Gta Travel Refusing refund

Made a booking for 8 rooms during seafood Barcelona last April. Shortly before the Seafoodshow they suddenly told me the rooms had been cancelled by the hotel and they made a new booking elsewhere in a less popular hotel.

Got a strange confirmation with not all names correct. When I was in Barcelona few days earlier I checked with the new hotel. There was only one room reserved and others were cancelled again. Had to book 8 rooms myseld elsewhere and asked for refunding my prepayment of EUR 1900,-

Many promises, but untill today still not repaid. Not answering phonecalls nor email.

Be careful. Better use someone else!

Gta Travel Sold Me a Room with Confirmation Which they NEVER Confirmed with the Actual HOTEL!!

They booked me a room, charged, and sent a confirmation for a room during one of SF's busiest weekends - Lovefest weekend. I showed up at the hotel and they didn't have my reservation and were completely booked. I called GTA and they said they would be happy to refund my money. That did not help at all since I had two rooms booked and family in from out of town. The customer service rep told me to ask the front desk person to find me another room somewhere in the city. I told the rep that wasn't their job and that they weren't the ones who failed and asked the GTA rep to find me another room. He put me on hold, told me he found me two rooms at another nearby hotel and confirmed it but that i had to call right away. I hung right up and called them. They said no one from GTA had ever called them and that they were sold out.

HORRIBLE Experience! Would NOT recommend this company but if you do use them, make sure you call to reconfirm your reservation.

Gta Travel Prepaid reservation not honored

I booked a room at Capital Hill Hotel and Suites in Ottawa for Friday May 28th, 2010 through GTA Hotels 1 week ago. I received a prepaid voucher and printed it. When submitted to the hotel on May 28th, it was refused because the room was for my son attending his prom in town. The hotel claimed it had a "no prom" policy. No such policy appears on their website. No such questions were asked at the time of the booking. The hotel refused to refund the money since it was after 7PM and the booking was not done directly through them. GTA has accepted to refund the money in the next few months. Based on this experience, I will NEVER EVER book through a web based company again.

Gta Travel Booked unavailable room

I booked a hotel room through this company for my parents who were vacationing in Auckland New Zealand. I had been searching for hours until I found the only room available throughout the entire city and booked it through GTA hotels. They CONFIRMED that the room was available (I called). I became suspicious after doing a google search I found out that a lot of people have had problems with them. So I call the hotel they claim to have reserved for me and it turns out not only am I not listed on the registry, that weekend has been fully reserved for the last two months! I canceled my booking and found a hotel a half hour from the city. If I hadn't done this google search my parents would have been SOL since there wasn't a single hotel available in the city that weekend.

I wonder if you contacted us at the time so we could have assisted you? Can you please let me have your booking tracking number so I can make a follow up.

If you had made a booking with us and received your pre paid accommodation voucher then you would not have been left ‘without a place to sleep’ I can assure you so I am sorry to learn that you felt the need to cancel your booking.

As this may have been a hotel that we don’t have a direct contract with they would have been correct in saying that they don’t have a booking under the name Gtahotels. More often than not rooms are confirmed and held under an allotment number and not the guest’s name.

It is normal practice that names of guests are not forwarded to hotels until closer to the check in date. This does not mean that there is no booking for you, merely that the booking is confirmed under an allotment number.

Please allow me to look into your booking details

Gta Travel Not given room I paid for

“If you decide to use this firm please be very careful when you complete the last part of their booking form (where you give additional information). Recently I made a booking with GTA Hotels for a 1 bedroom apartment in Reykjavik. I requested that the apartment had twin beds. However, when I arrived in Reykjavik it turned out that GTA Hotels had made a reservation for a twin bedded room. Luckily the hotel was able to supply me with a studio apartment. When I originally made the booking the 1 bedroom apartment was obviously more expensive than the studio apartment which I ended up staying in. Initially the firm said that I had booked a twin room and this was shown on my reservation slip. I did not book a twin room as I had only ever wanted to stay in an apartment! The reservation stated that I had booked into Fron Apartments. After much negotiation the firm did offer a 20 euro credit note but I requested this as a refund. GTA Hotels ARE REFUSING TO REFUND THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE between what I booked and paid for, the 1 bedroom apartment, and what I stayed in, the studio apartment. So again, I warn people who choose to use this firm (and I certainly will not be doing so again), to be vigilant when providing them with additional information. Alternatively, use a firm who is ABTA registered BECAUSE GTA HOTELS ARE NOT ABTA REGISTERED, (I wonder why not?).

Gta Travel ripped off

My wife thought she got a great deal on an Orlando Hotel using gtahotels.com but when we checked in we discovered the hotel wanted to charge room tax. Now I find we could have been worse off, as others using this service have discovered they had no reservation at all after paying otels.com (apparently related to gtahotels.com).

We were promised quick action when we called their 800 number, but so far have no action from them. I would not deal with them again.

Just a followup - GTAHOTELS did manage to get the hotel to refund the room tax to our credit card. Their action was not as quick as they promise on their website, but they did fix it in the end.

Gta Travel Cancelled after reserv. confirmed

Ater booking a trip to Hawaii for the end of March, 2017 through GTAHOTELS.com and receiving a confirmation and a voucher from them, and a confirmation from the ResortQuest Beach by e-mail, two weeks after I received by e-mail a cancellation notice from GTA. stating that my reservation was cancelled because there was no room available. It was a LIE because I received confirmation from the Resort. After telling them that they said it had been a computer glitch and they they were sorry and that I would be reimburse the money I had paid them. But nothing for my non-refundable flight expenses even if they were at fault. WHAT A REPUTABLE COMPANY WOULD DO THAT? Anyone thinking of booking a vacation anywhere, be aware of them because we were around 170 peoples that were SCAM once more. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

I booked 4 nights at the Patagonia Vista Lodge in Bariloche Argentina from 24 Dec 2017, listed by Gta hotels as a 4star hotel. The establishment is NOT a hotel, but a self catering group ogf cottages. No reception desk, no dining room, no concierge etc. None of the facilities required for a 4 star hotel listing anywhere in the world. Accordingly, I did not take up the booking. After imediately lodging 3 complaints, and asking for my 700+euros deposit, back Gta hotels has refused to accept any responsibility for what to me was a blatent case of frauduent misrepresentation. I was going to sue them but the legal costs involved from South Africa has made this a non starter. The public must be warned to avoid them.

two weeks ago I booked a hotel through 18oohotels for two night stay in london. it then came about that this agency has seized trading due to legal issues, of which none of their customers were informed of until they checked their hotels. i rang my hotel and was told that it was in fact gtahotels.com that had made the booking for 1800hotels.com and that it was gtahotels.com who then cancelled by booking two days prior to arrival with full cost of stay taken from my credit card. I have tried on several occasions to seek assistance from gtahotels.com on the matter as they dealt directly with the hotel and it is only them that can help. I have rang numerous times to be switched from one member of staff to another, they confirmed all my details last week regarding the booking and now this week they are denying there ever was one...I have just gotten off the phone with them for the third time today in which the member of staff who i was told could help me in this case hung up when i was asking for assistance. For a world-wide company with apparent high standards i find the behaviour of their staff shocking.

Gta Travel Canceled reservation after full payment

Had gotten a week's worth of Hawaii hotel reservation for our anniversary. I get an email from them using the email address ([protected]@gtahotels.com - so I can't even reply back with anything) saying that the reservation had been canceled blaming their "supplier's website" for placing the wrong pricing on their website. I tried calling them and they said that their headquarters are in Singapore or Turkey and they can't do anything. So I created an online Ticket/Complaint through their site. Its been over 15 hours now and no response. I have my plane tickets and no hotel.

Hotels are now more expensive than before and even though gtahotels.com offered a hotel reservation at cost to them, there is no email to ask for this deal or phone number to call for it... Apparently 170 customers were affected during this "technical glitch". Could just hope for a class action suite so they learn their lesson.

Did you find a deal at GTAHotels.com. DON’T COUNT ON IT! It may be canceled and refunded in a couple of weeks. We have our trip plan on this hotel and they have cancel our hotel. Refunded our money and no news on what can be done. They did not stand on their Terms and Conditions. We are stuck with 2 plan tickets non re-fundable.

I just had exactly the same experience. Gtahotels took 400 euros from my account before checking the rooms were available and when we called they said it would take a minimum of 7 days to return it. That's after our trip has begun and certainly after we will need to pay for a hotel. It doesn't seem a particularly complicated idea to check the availability of your own partner hotels before taking money from your clients. Caroline seems pretty smug that one successful resolution in a dozen complaints here (and there are no short supply of similar ones on other sites) constitutes being a reputable company. Not a great track record in my reckoning.

It was very pleasing that we found a solution to your complaint.

We are a well established company and over the years we have helped millions of clients to book their hotel accommodation at the best possible rates on the internet.

We have also been members of the BBB since 2006 and have a very satisfactory record with them. Over the past 12 months we have a total of 2 complaints recorded with the BBB and these have both been resolved. You can check our report through the Better Business Bureau members pages.

We received a letter from the BBB dated 12th January 2009 thanking us for our participation and contributions to the effort of the BBB - Hardly a letter that would be sent to a company that was not reputable

I also been scamed by this travel agency. they told me that they were very sorry and they would rebook my hotel at there cost plus a 5% discount on top of that. This sounded like a good deal until they quoted me the price, it was the same if not higher that the other companies. I feel that this was a bait and switch scam that they pulled. I will never do buisness with this shady companie again and warn everybody about gtahotels.com

I'm with you with that class action suit... my mission right now is to advise the public about how this company scams their costumers! They've ruined our vacation and the vacation of many others. My friend called directly in Turkey to speek to the owner but he or she never wanted to speek on the phone. Usually, you want to make sure your customers are well treated and satisfied but I guess for this company it is not the case! I've sent a bunch of e-mails to Caroline (customer care manager of gtahotels) @ agentinfo@gtahotels.com and filed a complaint with BBB.org, www.consumer.state.ny.us/default.htm and the complaints board. I would never rebook with them even if they offer the accomodation for free in fear of arriving at my destination just to find out I no longer have a room available.

Gta Travel Cancelation of agread contract

I booked a hotel for 13 nights in hawaii and after 2 weeks they send me a e - mail saying that there was a problem with there site and the hotel was unavailable a that time. I called the hotel and they confirmed my reservation. Gta hotel w'ont honor the price that the web site was listing the hotel. P. S. Gta hotel cancelled the hotel reservation the next day i called them and said i had confirmed with the hotel.

Booked a hotel room in Honolulu, Hi through their sight three weeks before my vacation. They charged my card and assured me that everything was confirmed and alright. They even sent me two confirmation notices via Email. Four days before I leave on my vacation, I receive an Email from the company that said that they were refunding my money due to the fact that they had overbooked the hotel. I called the hotel and they had confirmed this, but they were upgrading me from a $161USD a night room, to a beach front room that cost $659USD a night free of charge. The manager said, "As long as Gta Hotels do not refund and cancel my reservation everything would be alright'. Later I found out through a company that works with Gta, that the reason they canceled my room was because they could get way more money for the upgraded room when sold for half price. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE COMPANY. I am just glad that I found this out before I arrived at the hotel unlike some of the other people on this site.

We have just been on trip to prague we also booked with gta hotels. There was no room at hotel we booked they put us in a hostel. We have tried to complain but web site dose not exsist. If anyone knows any thing or were to find any info regarding gta hotels post it on here a s a p.

I just booked a four day stay in Anaheim and was nervous with the fact that I didn't receive a confirmation email. Then I tried to log back into the site and my email/password combo wouldn't work. I requested my password to be sent to me via email and it never arrived. So, I called the hotel in Anaheim to see if they had my reservation (which they did not.) I checked my bank account and, sure enough, the money had already been deducted. I called customer service and they told me that the reservation would be sent to the hotel a week prior to our trip. I thought this was ridiculous because the trip is in the middle of spring break and it is very likely that the hotel will be full by that time.

I canceled my trip today by calling customer service. I am terrified that I won't get a refund. Has anyone received a refund for the trips that they have canceled or have been canceled by the company?

Re; Martin - We are aware of your booking GY-[protected] and are still working on this issue for you.

Regarding our company background - We are a well established company that has been offering the best possible hotel rates on the internet since 1999 - Over the past 10 years we have helped millions of clients to book their hotel accommodation at the best possible rates and you can see some of the testimonials that we have received from satisfied clients on our website.

I am aware of the issue regarding these affected bookings and should like to share my findings with all users of the complaints board below. My findings are not offered as an excuse but are factual in a hope to have the opportunity to explain this unfortunate situation...

I should like to assure any affected clients that their cases have not been forgotten. We are working on all requests and appreciate being given the time to look into client requests. Updates will be advised to you as soon as possible...

To the affected clients you will recognise the following explanation...

I do appreciate your patience while I have been looking very thoroughly into the circumstances surrounding this issue and should like to furnish you with my findings below.

1. At the time of booking you will have seen on our website for example, one night with rates and the rest Free Night, Free night, Free night ... So if you had selected to stay 12 nights then you will have been under the impression that you will only have to pay for one night.

2.In the case of your reservation we do not have a contract with the hotel directly, instead we have a wholesaler who works between us and the hotel and who provide us with the rates and availability. Due to the technical issue it meant that when a search was made with a check in date for March and the check out date in April our wholesaler's system returned a result of hotels as if they had rates in April when infact they had none. Our own system assumes that when a hotel has been entered by a wholesaler that it meets the availability and pricing requirements in our system and can be presented to a client when they make a search on our website. Due to this technical error hotels were seen with Free nights when infact the nights were not free.

3. As I previously mentioned '' While the booking appeared fully confirmed on our system, it is with regret that it appears there was a technical issue which led to the accommodation being seen as confirmed on our system when the hotel was infact unavailable for booking.'' This is correct in that the hotel was unavailable for booking for Free nights.

4. This technical issue has been completely out of our control and is very regrettable. As soon as the issue came to light we have contacted every client whose booking has been affected.

5. There are 170 affected reservations so please I am sorry that I have been unable to write to every one of you personally.

6. Due to the technical issue, it is with great regret that we had to cancel these bookings because the rates were too low. All of the bookings affected have received the full refund.

7. If the hotel can be re-booked through our website (subject to availability) the correct rates will apply. If you wish to re-book the same or even a different hotel we will be pleased to let you have the accommodation at our cost plus 5% off the total cost of the booking.

8. I understand that some of you have contacted the hotel directly and that they have informed you that the booking is still confirmed. The reason for this is that while we have cancelled the booking through our system and that of the wholesaler, there is a time delay between the cancellation being relayed from the wholesaler to the hotel.

9. At this point I should just like to add a personal note that I thoroughly understand all of your frustrations and disappointment. I have personally worked with the company for the past 8 years. We are a reputable company and over the past 10 years have helped millions of clients to book their hotels at the best possible rates. I am sorry that on this occasion we didn't deliver the experience that you were expecting from a company such as ours.

10. If the hotel cannot be re-booked through us or you prefer to book through a different source then we will give you a voucher for 10% which can be used on your next booking with our company.

Again please do accept my most sincere apologies

I am also a victim of GTA Hotels. After booking accommodation in December 2008, GTA Hotels cancelled my booking 26th January 2009 after I had booked all my other travel arrangements, leaving me deep in it.

They clearly boast "Your booking with us will then be confirmed and we will not change your accommodation or the rate - we
guarantee it.", however I had my booking confirmed, vouchers printed and they have still cancelled my hotel.

Same here... On January 3, 2009 I made a hotel reservation at GTAhotels.com for the Yosemite Lodge at the Falls in Yosemite National Park . I received an email from GTAhotels.com stating the Reservation Status was Confirmed, with all the details of our trip, Booking Tracking Number, etc. GTA Hotels charged our credit card for the full amount of the reservation.

On January 26, 2009 I received an email that my reservation was canceled due to "a technical issue". After calling GTA Hotels customer support, they offered at first the same room for $1100 more, and offered several other options (all considerably more expensive), but by the end of the day all reservations within Yosemite were pulled off the site, showing that there is no reservation available.

We have already paid for our non-refundable plane tickets ($1200) as well as for our car rental ($215), and at this point we are left without any accommodation. GTAHotels.com refuses to take responsibility for their mistake and does not offer any solution to our situation.

GTAHotles.com is scam and should not be used. Part of their customer support is in Turkey and the owner of the company, Metin Altun is from Turkey as well. You can find him on Facebook. Do not trust the company. Any reputable company has to find alternative hotel, but GTAhotels.com refuse to do anything.

The company is registered under ALLSTAR HOTELS LLC and you can submit complain via BBB.org, and Attorney General for New Jersey http://www.state.nj.us.

The company should not be trusted.

Gta Travel hotel reservation

Canceled our reservation without accomodating us at an other hotel after our full payment was made on our credit card. The company stated that there wasn't any room available at this hotel, wich is a lie cause we talked to the hotel directly and we do in fact have a confirmation number from the hotel. After talking to a sales rep. from gtahotels.com they informed us that there was an error in the prices online when we booked and that they do not want to give us the accomodation for the prices we paid nor do they want to book us an other hotel.

We received a letter from the BBB dated 12th January 2009 thanking us for our participation and contributions to the effort of the BBB - Hardly a letter that would be sent to a company that was not reputable

don't book threw this company .
they left me high and dry with no rooms 4 weeks after i booked it .

this company is totally unreliable .

I'm in the same boat for our Disneyland vacation. We booked back on 1/16 for a 6 night vacation and I received an email saying they canceled my reservation due to a technical glitch. I'm very upset about this.
