Grant Funding Source Grant source Funding

My complaint is the same as everyone else's. I received a phone call stating that my application has been approved. I could get a government grant for a home that i would never have to give back. I paid $1.87 for a 14 day trial and was told i could cancel at anytime. I was told my email address and zip code would get into there web sight to get all the information I needed to get help from a councilor to help me. I still have not received that phone call. The credit card # I gave them was for a prepaid credit card that Won't load anymore money on for them.
Thanks William

I contacted company for CD on grants and received unauthorized charges from four other grant companies--all owned and operated by Grant Funding Source.
Furthermore, I never received the CD.

Grant Funding Source SCAM FOR GRANT

A lady called me from [protected] name Rachell Brown (with an Indian Accent). She proceeded to tell me that I was pre-Approved for Government Grants. She immediately asked for my credit card information which immediately threw up a red flag. I quickly looked on line and saw all of the complaints about this company. I looked on my caller ID and it said Lucas Edwards was the owner of this number. I called the 1800=558-0064 number to ask for this lady and she did not exsist. I am glad I was able to get information from this site, before I became a victim as well. Thank You.

The offer is very misleading stating "The initial charge of $1.87 includes the Grant Funding Source CD as well as 14 days access to www.grantfunding.net. After 14 days,
a $79.95 recurring monthly Fee for Grant Funding Source Membership will be billed tothe credit card used by member to complete the sign process unless/until Member
cancels membership or changes billing method."

I ordered a CD and was hit with unauthorized charges 49.95, called the bank and Grant Source Funding who told me that it would be refunded. That was on 10/08/2008 still no refund and to make matters worse I was also hit with an overdraft
fee of 34.00. Grand total 83.95.

I have sent 3 letters requesting a refund of $400. for unauthorized deductions from my account and have gotten no response. The 800 number does not know the mailing address and the address on the cd states "This is not the mailing address for Grant Funding Source." Highly suspect, like they are trying to hide themselves and make themselves unreachable.

I ordered a CD only and was charged an additional unauthorized charge of 49.95. After viewing this charge on my bank statement, on October the second I called my bank and the [protected] customer service number for Grant Funding Source and was told the money would be refunded to my account. This took place on 10/08/2008. To this day I have not recieve my refund!

There are way too many stupid people in this world. READ THE WEBSITE! It explains everything. They sell a valuable service that has helped many people. But everyone here wants to complain because they did not read what they were getting in to. Take responsibility for your own actions rather than blaming everyone else!

To anyone just reading about this company, signed up to them and haven't got charged... here's what you can do... Cancel your card and get your bank and cc to issue you a new one before they even start charging you if you can. I did this after seeing what this company was doing with everyone after I signed up. I told my cc that I was worried about this scam company... they said they'll take care of it and just issue me a new card. At least they won't be able to charge me.

Pursuant to Barito's remarks, I received a phone call from GFS on Saturday morning while asleep, after filling out a questionaire on a website. I tool thin I received a phone call from a person with an Indian accent. More importantly, he was a bit of an idiot. I kinda danced with him, even though I told him I wan't going to give him my credit card # for the amount of $4.95 cents. Prior he promised me a grant for personal, bz etc. No credit card # was reinterated. I finally asked for a number and I would call him back. It sounded as if he was in a boiler room, but after soom bantering He gave me the [protected] number & website so I could validate GFS as a legitament company and he would call me back in a half hour. He said he was calling from the home office in Utah, although my caller ID showed 212, a NY area code. No call back. I wonder why after reading all the horrific testimonials!
I don't believe in regulating the internet (maybe we couldn't be having this chat), but in the interest of fair marketing, especially from foriegn lands.
Tusted sites that guarnette your privacy? Do they protect one from an expressed relationship albeit me a scam?

Grant Funding Source unauthorized credit card withdrawal

I got 2 consecutive months of an unauthorized withdrawal from my credit card and all I gave them was the initial mailing cost of $3.95 of a mailing package that Grant Funding Source claims there has the informations of writing a grant.

Too bad I am a victim of this scam of "helping people get free grant" that I need to assist my mother's medical needs.

Yesterday I got another phone call from a "Grant Writing Magic" company who also wants me to send them the $3.95 for mailing me a booklet and an audio CD. I offer to pay only via money order or cashier check and they got very perturbed, saying that they must have my credit card number in order to give me "free" access to their website and start to obtain grant money as soon as possible. them Yet I still refused to give them my card information and even told them that another organization like theirs is costing me unauthorized lost on a monthly basis. You, how they are persistent and still trying to convince me to give them the $3.95 inititial withdrawal. So I told them to call me some other time.

What it is, is that they just want me to give them my credit card number for this transaction and then they are free to withdraw a fixed amount monthly b/c the credit card co. only need a one time authorization for an organization to continuing withdrawal w/o further authorization from the card owner. it is an un-heard-of policy to me! Well, but that is how Grant Writing Magic successfully got their first monthly withdrawal from my account and hereafter.
What is the use of my authorization if my credit card co. is deciding for me! That's the flaw that's been feeding on.

I rethink on the free grant issue and realize that it really has no definite time limit on the monthly membership payment until anyone should really see their grant proposal accepted. AND THERE IS NO GUARANTY WHETHER ANY GRANT PROPOSAL IS ACCEPTED. Besides, these grant seeking co. play the " don't say I didn't tell you " strategy: ONLY WHEN SOMEONE WRITE AS MANY GRANT PROPOSAL AS POSSIBLE AND SEEK FROM AS MANY SOURCES AS POSSIBLE WILL GET THE GRANT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE".
Beware of this statement. It is full of possibilities and nothing warrant. All they will tell you, I suppose, if someone complains to them the sight of grant money, they will use the aforementioned assumption to refute. Very clever and coning.

There is more, the Grant Writing Magic people say to me that only those who are disabled, unemployed and need medical grant on a monthly basis would be required a monthly payment to the co. Since Grant Funding Source has been withdrawing for me so I asked if there is any other category of applicant. Listen to this: they said there is NO category. So does it mean that the Grant Funding Source people just assumed I "as any other applicant" am disabled and unemployed and need grant money every month?! That assumption is false about me if it were the case; and the reason they use to make money from me or from anyone is then very questionable.

After reading all other complaint's stories about Grant Funding Source, I erge everyone to not fall into scams like these.

Sincerely,
Yours

I requested information about government grant money but when the grant funding source called me I was no longer interested and told them several times to take my name and number off of their calling list. They have called me over 40 times in 7 days. Today I again advised them not to call me anymore and asked to speak to a supervisor. The caller hung up on...

My complaint is same as others I have read, but maybe someone can give me guidance!
My debit card is being charged $59.95 for nothing! I never received ANYTHING, but sadly I did authorize the $3.95!
HOW can I stop these charges? If it was not an 'established' checking account I would simply close it, but I have so many account linked to this.
I request a refund for $59.95, but I do not hold much faith that THAT will happen!

I have been contacted by 3 different people about finding a grant for my needs. Grant funding direct is only one of the companies that had my debit card number and home phone, but my bank account has been charged $1.87 for a CD and email by Grant Funding Source. The number they gave me to call for support is [protected]. This is not a valid number. If these people call you, HANG UP ON THEM! They are crooks!

I've just received the same call from a man with an Indian accent and was told all the same things. Being suspicious but still stupid, I gave them my American Express card number even though they insisted they would only take Visa and Mastercard but then they took my account info and said they would call me back after checking with a supervisor. I purposely used my American Express creidt card and not a debit card because I've been scammed once before using a debit card - and you can't dispute funds retrieved from a debit card. However, immediately after I got off the phone I checked this Better Bus bureaus site and lo and behold I see all these complaints which confirmed my suspicions so I called AMEX and had them block my card for a week for all charges and note why on my account so when I go to unblock my account if they try to charge me I will dispute it, and if I have to I will cancel my card and get another one. As everyone said above, if it seems suspicious, always check the organization out online first and tell them you will call them back. If they act nervous, it's for good reason so watch out! SCS
