GoRenter.com Apartment living conditions

I'm currently living in a unit owned by go renter. Apparently they were ordered to see some dishes by the state of Arizona but we've received a note on our door stating that they have changed the company name but all the employees have remained the same. I am dealing with cockroaches termites and some weird worm type things. My air conditioning does not work in the bedroom most of the outlets in the house doesn't work. The unit was not clean before we moved in. Because I was with a city of Phoenix rapid rehousing program I was not allowed to tour before I moved in. They're still constantly things being blown out of the air conditioning unit. I'm not sure what it is but little black things attached to the wall all the time. I clean and clean and clean but the floors are never clean. There's strange smell coming from the bathroom under the sink. There was a strange smell in the kitchen where the hot water heater was. We went 18th Street days with no hot water and then three and a half months with hot water not lasting longer than 4 minutes and 25 seconds. When they finally removed the hot water heater to replace it with the new one there was hundreds and hundreds of cockroaches that were dead on the hot water heater. I've called and called I emailed I filed maintenance orders. When you go look online and simply says completed or canceled. Then I asked him why they were being listed as completed or canceled and they said they had to reach out to the owner. Who I then found was the person who owns government entirely. I've contacted several government agencies and I can't get any assistance. They never offered even apology for the fact that we lived without hot water and basically and squalor. Slum Lords would be an understatement. They do not do any upkeep on the property. The parking lot is dirt and it has caused several of my fellow neighbors to have car problems as well as myself. I would never in a million years rent another property from go renters. And I'm disappointed in the state of Arizona for not reaching out and helping the people that are stuck under at lease. I have contacted senators news channels everyone you can imagine and nobody really seems to care so I would advise you do not move in to anything owned by go renter or regent I think is their new name.

Desired outcome: For them to come in and completely clean the unit. To be compensated for the months that we paid and it's been uninhabitable

GoRenter.com GoRenter rental service

The GoRenter Scam: Once you sign up thinking you're only paying 7.5% of your gross income, you start getting inundated with invoicing. According to court documents, GoRenter admits to an average annual income of $4000.00 per property. Hummmm lets do the math, the average property in Phoenix rents for $1200.00 per month x 12 months = $14, 440.00 per year, that = 27.7% not 7.5%. How does Gorenter get $4000 per year from each property?: GoRenter nickels and dimes the tenants for every little charge, until the tenants can't wait to break their lease. When they do, there are eviction charges in addition to all the charges to clean up a property that has been trashed. GoRenter up-charges you, the property owner, on every invoice you receive, carpet cleaning, painting, legal work, etc. According to several ex-employees and vendors, the up charge can be as high as 40%. The vendors are told to create phony invoices to show the property owners, while GoRenter pays the vendor a lower amount. This is illegal and known as failure to disclose. Action Plan: All we need is a few more people that have been ripped off to lodge a group complaint with the Arizona Department Of Real Estate. Once the complaint is lodged, the ADRE will do a financial audit, and they will be out of business. Let's also hope the ADRE orders GoRenter to pay back all their ill-gotten gain to the thousands of owners who paid these amounts. This is not the first time this company has been investigated by the ADRE, but it will be their last.

I have experienced ALL of the above referenced issues while leasing from GORENTER. I feel bad for the home owner as well, as he would get billed for the same invoices we were even when they were paid. The are a horrible, unethical, money grubbing company. Absolute thieves and manipulators! No matter which end you're on renter or rentee DO NOT WORK WITH GORENTER! I'm on board with any class action lawsuit or court filing victims would like to file!

GoRenter.com Predatory lending

Predatory lenders were run out of Arizona a number of years ago...Well, they are back, in the form of property management. This new breed of property management preys on the mid to low income families that do no have the resources to fight them. They are pleasant and nice to get you in, but then distant, difficult, and rude. They have a method of fees based around AZ tenant law that almost works perfectly, almost. What they miss, the part that matters, 'act in good faith'. This they fail at utterly.

The tactics they implement...'stall, distort, deny, and threaten.' They start by shutting off any form of payment other than cashier's check or money order on the fifth. Not necessarily a problem, however, they do NOT accept partial payments and while you are talking to the individual at Gorenter, the fees are ticking. So when you get off the phone or get the email response and arrive at the location to pay with said cashier's check or money order, the balance is different, 'so sorry, go get more.'

I have told my story before and i get a common reaction, 'why would a company refuse payment?' They immediately start eviction proceedings, we had our first filed within 3 weeks of living in the residence, we didn't even realize we were late on anything. No worries though, get caught up, and all is well. Except you cannot get caught up. Our rent was basically a $1, 000.00, give or take. December of '12, through their delay tactics, $1, 000 turned into 2, 100.00. The last month, I was absolutely done, and said, 'i'm fighting this time.' Went to court, the Judge even stated on the record, Gorenter is acting unethically and against fair business practices...and followed it with, 'Stop It"...He struck through their fees and fines, balance owed, $790. Guess what, they refused to accept it if we didn't pay the rest of that were negated by the Judge. Their in-house counsel told me, 'I don't care what the Judge ordered, pay it or we will proceed with the eviction.' They evicted us because we refused AND pocketed the $790. Amazing but it gets better.

This story is long and boring but the bottom line...We moved out in Jan '12, my wages are being garnished for 6K+ because they refused to apply money they had from us in hand to our account, then run back to court randomly and up the balance after the statute of limitations had expired.

They are a wonderful company that really cares. Now, why you ask are they doing this. Well...6k is 6 months rent for little to no work. Years later, so if they turn over three or four tenants in a year...They now have 5-7 individuals like me by law paying them without hassle...on the same residence...give it a couple years and you could have a couple dozen paying you on the same residence...That is so much more productive than having 1 Happy Tenant. Seriously, instead of 1k per month in actual rent...They are making 10s of thousands in delayed rent on the same property

Oh...and don't try to find an attorney, for some reason, every attorney I inquired about this case told me, 'sucks to be you, just pay the garnishment and chalk it up as a learning lesson'...Guess they have greased the right palms.

GoRenter.com rental ripoff

After moving out, the company decided to replace the entire house full of carpet and paint at super high prices and do repairs that were not needed. charging us over $18, 000 for repairs...then collection fees of over $4000.they provided pictures of the house for proof but in the pictures there was no damage to the carpet or paint. the repairs were things that needed repair before we moved in. the owner lives out of the country and had no idea if the repairs were needed and therefore accepted them and they fooled him as well. they used a bait an switch tactic as well. They showed us the place on way, then after we signed a lease they added a gate to the pool, so we took it down and put it in the garage, now they are charging us for it to be put back up.now they are charging us $18, 000 and $4000 for collection fees...rip-off experts...

GoRenter.com Policies

Go Renter has been managing our rental property for almost 2 years; we notified them in Aug of 2012 that we were going to put the home on the market and within 3 to 6 months it should sell. During this time period our tenants wrote us often and complained about Go Renter and asked repeatedly to change property management has their dealing with them were awful (to the point that if we were keeping the home they would not renew lease if we kept Go Renter).
In December we recieved a notice of yearly renewal - and on 01/07/2013 I notified Go Renter that we had a firm offer on the home and would cancelling contract to sell. I was charged the following fees: $295 annual fee (refused to prorate), $450 (cancellation fee), $225 (3 months management fee for cancellation), plus management fee for January and February (was told Feb. because my official cancellation did not go in until 01/08 there is a 30 day policy which would be 02/08 so I am required to pay Feb fees). I would not have issue with this if I was not changed 3 months management fee already.
This company is crooked and will screw you out of your money...do not use them go elsewhere. I have spoken with others that have property manangement companies and they agree this is outrageous and would not use and tell others the same. There are so many other options out there - say clear of this one they are awful to work with and will take your money.

Go Renter has an "F" rating from the BBB - why? because of their bad reviews and all the complaints. Very similar to what I have posted here.
We live in a free enterpise which means if we consumers stop giving businesses money they go out of business. This is one business that deserves to go out of business. We need to pass this around and get the word out so people stop using them then they will go away. What is interesting about complaints and bad reviews, it is not just tenants it is people like me that hired them - they will eventually screw you no matter what side of the contract you are on! Pass this along -

GoRenter.com Horrible Service

The company I am having problems with is gorenter.com LLC. It started with their advertisement with the property they had listed on their website, gorenter.com. The listing stated that you get 1 month free rent. But it was failed to mention to us that the 1 month free rent started once we put the deposit down. Before we even moved in. Also, the listing stated that the house had all appliances. Which included refrigerator and washer & dryer. When we moved in there was none of those. When I called it was than explained to me that they were not going to be provided. The real problems started in January. I drove down on 12/31/10 to pay my rental bill. Their office is approximately a 45 min drive from our house. When I got there, the office was closed. I couldn’t even take the elevator upstairs to drop the payment in the door. So I went home and decided that I would drive down on 1/1/11. Which I did, and the office was locked up again with no access to the elevator. So on 01/4/11, I received a letter stating I had late charges which totaled $126.28. When I called to dispute the charges I was advised that they received my payment on 1/3/11 but it would not process until 01/4/11. I explained my situation and how I drove down twice to make payment and their offices were completely locked. They refused to issue any type of adjustment. I spoke to a “owner” of the company and he advised me that he can do a payment plan for the late fees $40 a month for 3 months to pay it. I agreed, which I still told him that I wanted to dispute the charges. He explained that a letter would be sent out to me, which it never was, explaining the arrangement. So I went online on 2/1/11 to pay my bill. And I noticed they took out the late fees from my deposit. When I called the company to question this I was told they did that as a courtesy, because of my financial situation. So I paid my current bill. I logged on 3/1/11 to pay my bill and the fee for the $117 was back on their and a fee for $35 for a registered letter that we never received. I called all day on 3/1/11 and no one returned my call. I was advised by the receptionist to pay the bill in full or I would be charged late fees again. So I did. The company is refusing to give me the credit back of $117. I have been in customer service for 13 years. I have never been treated like this from any company. The representatives are rude, degrading, condescending and just flat out unprofessional. As a consumer I want justice. I want something done to this company so that they don’t do it to anyone else. ATTENTION ALL RENTERS...DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

Horrible landlords refuse to fix things charged way too much money for rent and then find any reason they can to send so called certified letters and charge renters $35 per letter. Toilets overflowing weekly at 12637 w Catalina dr advertise hot tub but unable to use hit tub filthy filter is bad and company refuses to service the hot tub. House was terribly dirty carpets not clean dust an inch thick on windows when moved into property and then they have the nerve to tell you that you must get professional carpet service and show them proof. This is the worst company I have ever renter for and they undoubtedly will find a way to keep my security deposit. When moving in stains on carpet walls have black stains when notifying company I was told oh well you signed the lease so it's as is now. HOA in the neighborhood is also ridiculous allowing some to have overgrown weeds and loud music while others get notices for leaving garbage can out an hour too long.

amazingly immature. They lost my Garage door opener and would not replace it. My tennants have complained to me, so I asked them and they did nothing. I complained to the BBB and they stated that they promptly replaced it. They did not. I then complained some more, and there response was quote "You remind me of Milton Waddams from Office Space My stapler ... Quit crying about your garage door opener! "

This is only one of the reasons I fired them. It's worse than dealing with a bunch of Immature, spoiled teanagers. (note: I said spoiled and immature teenages. Most are better than this bunch)

I agree with the comments about Go-renter being a con artist. I am an owner who got swindled into their contract with hidden costs and fees you don't see at contract signing. And, they did the same to my tenants.

The worst part is they don't manage the property, return your calls or e-mails once they have the contract. They disappear. They don't follow their own rules, they work banker's hours, if they even answer their phone at all!

They need to be put out of business.

After renting my house to people who lied on their application and then allowing them to move in early for no rent they deny any responsibility for the damage the tenants did to my home and the fact that they skipped out on paying rent after 3 months.GoRenter is charging me unbelievable fees for inspection, garbage removal, bogus yard work and questionable legal fees. They failed to give me any info on the tenants names or qualifications to rent my house. The tenants also had numerous police responses including drug sales from the rental property. GoRenter feels they had no obligation to protect my property..

Absolutely agree. I am another victim of this company; they’ll rush you into signing a contract and never explain their fee structures even if you ask.
I ask – what if I want to terminate the management relationship, any attachment or fees?
They answer – absolutely not, you can cancel anytime. (And yet, there’s a $600 fee never mentioned)
Also, never mention the way they list your property - is put a lock box on your property, and when a potential tenant calls, they will just release the pass code to them, so anyone can just wander around, comes and goes as they please or even make a copy of the key. If anything damage or missing from the property, they tell you of course it is the owner’s responsibility.

Lots more to mention – anyway this is an awful company to work with. Think twice before signing with them.

GoRenter.com Immoral, unethical, horrible property management company!

Horrible, horrible, nightmare of a company to deal with! Highly unethical business practices, liars, cheats, you name it, they'll do it to you. My situation started with them almost immediately after moving into a lease/purchase option home they managed. We received a "3rd notice" from the local HOA notifying us that two palm trees in the front yard needed to be trimmed to HOA specs. After finding out the 1st and 2nd notices had been received prior to us ever signing into an agreement, we thought we'd have no issue getting gorenter.com to take care of the issue. Yeah, right! They said it was our responsibility, as we signed for the property in the condition it was in. Okay, let's get this straight (and they were advised of this by me), you received notice one month before we moved in that the trees needed to be trimmed, and now it's my responsibility to pay to get them trimmed, when obviously this should have been done prior to us ever moving in? Yes, that's correct, was gorenter's statement. They even threatened us about the whole issue, and couldn't care less that they were in the wrong.
That was our 1st issue with them, and there would be many more to come as we continued our horrific 2 yr lease/purchase with them. Many of the other examples are just samples of lies from them, them not returning phone calls, stating they would do something, and having them not do it, etc...
They posted our funds to incorrect accounts, constantly didn't return phone calls. When they did call us, and ONLY for their benefit, their calls were always of a threatening nature. Even their so-called "Tenant Relations" department is a complete joke. They obviously only work for the bottom dollar of gorenter.com, and have absolutely no interest in actually doing what their department name suggests: Tenant Relations.
They're fools. They're losing clients, and obviously don't care. How can you run a business this way? I don't get it, but they DO IT!

Oh, and if you think they're doing anything for the property owners, go look up their own claims on their website where they state they "visit the properties three times each year...blah, blah, blah to inspect them" and such. What a pile of bull! If you're a homeowner, know this: They have NEVER shown up at our property to inspect squat! You think they're looking out for you? Think again!

I concur with all of the above statements about GoRenter being a completely dishonest, unethical, scam of a company. They treat tenants horribly, and landlords worse. They violate their own contract and say they are not bound by it, only the landlord is. They manipulate every situation to their benefit with no conscience.
With us, they got a judgment on our behalf, and witheld the information from us. I found it by accident and they say they don't have to tell us, nor do they have to try and collect it. Then they gave our tenant back his security deposit even though tenant owed us money, and sued us. We won.
RUN From GoRenter as far away as you can get.

This company id a rip off! This is what happened to my daughter and I wrote a letter to channel 3 / 3 on you side:

I am writing on behalf of my daughter. My plea to you is to help her with her current situation. She is renting from a rental company in Phoenix called Gorenter. Her lease was up on her house (which she rents from Gorenter) so she decided to move to another house in a better area with better schools for her children.

She went with the same rental company because they offered her low move in costs and rent free for February. Well, they neglected to let her know of all the "administrative fees" that she would be charged for moving from one of their properties to another. They also didn't give her free February rent either. I feel so furious about how this company has mislead her and now she is deep debt with them and may face an eviction if she doesn't pay all the "administrative fees" and the "non refundable" security deposit they now tell her she owes. She has already given them the down payment that they advertised for this house. That was the amount the realtor told her she would need to move in to the new house. Come to find out they put all that money toward "administrative fees". This company is such a rip off and charging fraudgulent charges to her.

She now finds out that they charged her $1500 (after they already had kept her $550 security deposit) toward her move out fees…. for cleaning, lawn service, painting and repairs on the old house. WHAT A RIP OFF! I helped her clean the old house and it was clean and no trash was left in the house at all and the landscaping is all desert, so what is the $150 “lawn service” charge for ?. They charged $1100 for painting, $125 for trash removal, $250 for this, $250 for that…..it’s all a rip off and I can’t believe that a rental company can get a way with that! I am out raged for my daughter and grand kids!

Now my poor daughter may now face eviction because she owes so much money for both the old and the new houses. Gorenter is charging her almost $1900 on the new house and $1500 on the old house. Last month she argued with them about the advertisement for "free February" rent and didn't get any where so they charged her $268 in late fees alone! I am outraged! I am not on the lease so they won't even talk to me about anything. My daughter is very passive and will not speak up because she doesn’t feel her argument will make a difference. I feel she is getting ripped off so bad and there is not a thing we can about it.

Anyone...please help!

Go renter is a complete scam!
I am going thru exactly whats been talked about in the previous complaints.. They charged me over $500 for some trees that they said had to be replaced in the front yard of the house that I rented.. I/ve only been in the property for a couple months, and Ii'm certainly not responsible for trees that didnt exist... Imagine that! In less than 1 month they have charged me late fees that have amounted to over $1700. I gave them a check for my rent on the 2nd of the month, they held the check for over 20 days and then filed eviction papers on me for non payment... When I returned home one evening I saw papers attached to my door saying that I had a court date to be evicted in 2 days...When I went to Go Renter's office, they told me that they never got the rent check, , however when i produced the receipt from the cashiers check that i brought them, they quickly changed their story and said that I brought the check in late, and had accrued over $1500 in late fees and fines! What? Are you Kidding me? They then told me that the only way to avoid eviction was to pay them $1087 dollars on top of my next months rent, which was then due in just 2 more days... As a single dad with a small child, I was really forced between extortion, and being put out on the street... In all fairness to my child, I had to choose to be extorted, by this company, and i paid the additional $1087... They then told me that if I didnt sign an agreement to pay an additional $700 within 2 weeks, they would have me evicted anyways... Of course they didnt tell me that until after they took the $1087... And to top it all off, they still went to court and got a judgement against me in the amout of $3700, which has now been put on my credit... Everymonth on the 1st, they always seem to come up with some kind of new fees to charge... Yesterday was the 1st of December, and when I went to go pay my rent, they wouldn't accept it because they said that I still owed them an additional $700.. Im holding this check in my hand for $2000 right now which is the Total amount of my rent, But they won't accept it because I don't have an additional $700 on top of the 2k for their conjured up fees>>>>>> Please Help

GoRenter.com Property Management or Mismanagement?

Our first headache was with a refrigerator with live wires exposed. We contaced GoRenter mutiple times and always got transferred to voicemail without a return phone call for months. Finally, they responsded with, "All appliances are supplied 'as is.'" We ultimately had to purchase a new refrigerator.

The next biggest issue was an HOA fine of $20. We contacted the HOA, explained the confusion, and the fine was waived. 2 days later, GoRenter sent out landscapers that did no work and charged $115 to our account with GoRenter. We contacted GoRenter, and of course was transferred to voicemail, and explained that the HOA had contacted GoRenter 2 days ago and that the issue had been resolved. Conveniently, GoRenter denied every getting that call.

First of all, who sends landscapers to a rental lot for a $20 fine? ...and who sends landscapers to a rental lot on a waived $20 fine? GoRenter. That's who. Our guess is that the landscapers are related to someone in the office.

To top it all off, they sent a certified letter to an alternate address and billed us $35 for this. Each month following, they sent the same certified letter to the alternate address and again billed us $35 per mailing. We contacted GoRenter and asked them why they send these letters to a different address that we never supplied them with, their response was, "because we can." The truth is quite simple. It's because they hope that we never get them.

After several months of pulling teeth and hair, we paid the $150 in dispute to avoid eviction. They accepted the check and sent us a friendly letter to a different address stating, "Thanks for paying the $150 but a balance of $130 still remains on your account." We contacted them again and was transferred to voicemail (see a pattery here?) and they returned our call stating that the $130 was interest accrued on the $150.

To make a long story short, they summoned us to court. We presented our case to the justice of peace who literally doodled while we were presenting our case, and GoRenter was rule the victor for over $2000 in late fees for the $150 and $130.

We have been renters for over 3 years which was of no consequence to the GoRenter. They are obviously not concerned with retention which speaks volumes for their ethics.

I"m sure we're not the only victims in their careless path, but they really need to restructure their management. Avoid them like the plague.

Not happy with GoRenter at all. When we initially moved into a house in Avondale and there were numerous things wrong with our house. When we made a list, there were about 9 things wrong, including a broken window on the second floor, rusted faucet in the kitchen, kitchen sink was rotted underneath, master bedroom shower faucet, dead roaches on the 1st floor..that we had to vacuum up before we moved our things in. Also, the grout in the dining area was unfinished, the back yard was just dirt and weeds, and the front driveway had an oil stain on it. When we complained to them, they told us that we could not get anything fixed, not even the broken window, because we agreed to move in “AS IS CONDITION!” Ok…fine. so we dealt with all of the problems and got around it. Now, we just had to move out 4 months earlier than our lease was up, due to the fact that we could not find work in Arizona. It had been very difficult and getting harder to maintain living there, and rent. I sent in an email over three months ago and followed the correct steps to breaking the lease. I was aware of the fact that we would have to pay March, April ect….until someone moves in that residence. I have not heard from them at all until this week. They sent me a letter stating that I owe you over 8, 000.00. YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND! As clean as we kept that place over a year, that is ridiculous! We hired carpet cleaners, scrubbed doors, walls, tile and that house was spic and span. CLEANER THAN THE CONDITION THAT IT WAS WHEN WE MOVED IN! We brought our own washer and dryer, because the house only had a washer. They are charging us 1, 500.00 for both washer and dryer! The only thing in that house was a washer, that we pushed against the wall and never used, because we had our own! They charged us 400.00 for house cleaning! I DONT THINK SO! WE videotaped and took pictures of that house just in case you all tried to pull this stuff with us! That house is cleaner than theyl had it when we moved in! They charged us 198.00 for yard service! We had someone come over and do the yard! Did they not listen to my message when I called and told them all that I would turn the key in after the yard people finished the yard? Plus.. its only a front yard, the back is dirt and weeds! They charged us maintanance repair? For what? When we moved in, we asked them to fix the things that they are trying to repair! Are they serious?! They charged us 390.00 for paint? It did not need painting! Its as though you are charging us for anything! And lastly a powerwash 150.00. Did we not tell them along time ago that it was oil in our driveway? These guys have many complaints! I have read their blogs! I can see why people feel the way that they do. Noone can ever reach them. They are horrible when it comes to calling people back. They are seriously gonna have a problem with us paying all of this. Its not fair, nor is it right! They need to look at their notes or something..oh, but then they probably didnt take any. This makes them all look very bad and disorganized as a business. We are not happy with this at all!

Here is a little scenario to think about... One day a burglar tries to break in your house, all is well thankfully you have a roommate there that scared them off. You try calling the rental company to get the front door fixed because the burglar kicked it in. You get a hold of the receptionest and explain to her that you need your door fixed tonight because it won't even close. She says"oh that is horrible I will transfer your call to someone that can help immediately". Go figure you end up leaving a message cause nobody knows how to answer the phone. Since your in a state of shock and you need your door fixed you head to the store and buy $500 worth of materials and think the company will reimburse you. Sorry this isn't a happy ending, the rental company tells you the next day when they finally call that your screwed and they will absolutely not reimburse you for the materials because they didn't okay you to make the repairs even though you have a police report and the officers took pictures of the damage. Wow, really, GORENTER is that messed up. To top that off the ac just died a week ago, don't bother calling the emergency number on your lease it tells you not to leave a message cause nobody monitors that line anymore. It's been almost a week without ac in the house, if you have spent a summer in phoenix you know how bad it can get. Just think how bad it can get in your house in august. Try to get some sleep when the thermostat says it is still 95 degrees. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REFER ANYBODY TO GORENTER.

DO NOT RENT from gorenter.com. DO NOT HAVE gorenter.com manage your property! I have had a very bad experience from the start. They told me the rent would be $1400. When I went to sign the lease, it changed to $1453. They charged me a security deposit of $1453 and then explained that only $1100 of it would be refunded. I have paid my rent on time or early for the last 10 months. Because the 1st fell on a Friday and they were closed on Saturday, my rent payment for July did not get processed until the 2nd business day of the month, July 5th. They had the nerve to send me a bill for a late fee of $100. I have called several times only to get the run-around. The last time I called, the girl hung up on me after telling me that the $100 would have to be paid or I would be turned over for collection. It has been two weeks and still no resolution. I don't plan to renew my lease with them.

Everyone knows that renters complain (Sorry guys) But when the renters and the landlords complain, something is up. The warning signs: lost contracts, sopy machine not working, signature does not look like yours, or promised that you get free no fees, or whatever and it does not happen. No one can explain the charge syou get, and complaints do no good. You will not get a full month pay. When the tenants break lease, they may do nothing if they need the funds the landlord has to pay to get a replacement tenant. I had to threat suit to the tenant, when GoRenter did not even ask them to pay what was owed. You will lose if you play the Gorenter game, unless you are dang lucky, or you are a family member of Bosworth, running the company from puppet strings. Search Property Masters, Home America, GoRenter is all the same. Only the crud is pushed around a bit each time the name is changed.

I have been renting a property for Gorenters since 9/5/09 this has been by far the worse company i have ever seen still standing! Problem #1 I contact the office when i first moved into the property due to the key they gave me stating it was the mailbox key when in fact it was the key to the garage which i later found out, left message after message statin i needed to retrieve the mail out the box that included my payroll check specified this check locked up in the box was their payment for rent i called for 3 weeks no response! On the 3rd day of the following month they then contact me advised they had scheduled someone to come and re-key the mailbox. Now they say i owe them late fees.Late fees, certified mail, H.O.A. fine ends up totals to $3000, each month they took their fine from the check for the rent to make it seem as though my rent was not only late but short.Eventually i paid them off but over paid them by a sum of $200.Gorenters refused to give me the amount over paid said they have to apply it to my next months rent!A month later i contact my go to person for repairs she finally emailed me back the "NEXT" month to advised me the repairs i needed was my responsibility and if they sent someone out to fix them i would have to pay 100%! I've asked many of times for the information to the owner Gorenters refuse.I asked the to shut off the sprinkler system that runs constantly in the front yard they said it was my problem! The garage door cord has popped and i can not get in or out which now has sprained my wrist trying manually push it up!I have spoken to supervisors in that office who are completly rude! So now I will seek help somewhere else! My mom also rents from this company and for a check that was $0.04(yes 4 cent) short they charged her $35 late fee advised if she made any repair to take them down when she moved and put the broken items back up!They set up a website for payment i tried to access it 4 times and then called for someone to assist me with it in November needless to say I'm still waiting for them to call me back...It is now 02/25/2010 UGH

Gorenter.com is a horrible company, and I have been dealing with them for over a year now (and we moved in August 2008!). When we moved in, the house wasn't cleaned, nor was the yard maintained. We cleaned the home ourselves (including the carpets) when we moved in, had it professionally cleaned and left the yard in a better condition than when we moved out. After we left, we received a bill for $245 in fees for supposed repair and cleaning. This was all sent over 30 days after we vacated the property, which is their limit underArizona law. We sent a certified letter within 10 days of their letter and never received a response. Now, a year and a half later, we receive a bill indicating we still owe the $245. In my letter over a year ago, we indicated that our contract said to leave the house in the condition it was left, and that we needed to see a copy of the bills for the "door rehang fee" (no doors were not hung) and the "yard maintenance charges" which again, we improved the yard when we lived there. Additionally, we signed a contract with Home America, which then changed its name to gorenter.com and never had us resign a contract, which means we don't have a contract with gorenter.com. This company says it has changed, but clearly it is still pursuing the shady practices of its previous ownership.

10/16/09 5:07 p.m. Go renter is all a scam. I left there house in excellent condition, even painted, cleaned carpet and landscaped. House was in better condition than when I moved in! I received a security deposit check for $5.00 (security was $1030.00) and a break down of what they supposedly had to do. I regret that I moved out one of their rental property into another. I will never rent or recommend them to anyone... Anyone have any advice about getting my money from these crooks. My girlfriend took the pics with her digital camera and the date is on the pic when you scroll threw them but not when you print them so its my word against their NOO.. RENTER.COM

I really hope they follow the rules here. If its anything like gorenter.com in the past you are screwed. I actually was sued by them in Nov 07. They sent me a renewal letter after we gave 30 day notice, charge 2 months rent along with late fees, attorney fees, processing fees, lunch money(ok thats a joke). But you catch the drift. Because of this, they never refunded my deposit. So I go to court with all my needed documents, of course copies for them too. They were shocked! So they decided to drop the case, cool. So before leaving I ask the Gorenter Rep about my deposit and was told, oh don't worry, we will have that out to ASAP. Nothing came in the mail. So 2 weeks later I call and I'm told that my deposit was refunded to the homeowner since they no longer manage this home and I would need to contact him. I replied that I had not signed a lease with homeowner. I took them to court in Nov 2008 and sued for my deposit beck and the judge ruled in my favor. The Rep for Gorenter was whining and arguing and saying they were not the same company, which blew me away! He said they bought Gorenter.com/Home America and they are now Gorenter.com LLC; The judge was not too happy with Their Rep, Greg was his name. Even when walking out, he was arguing with me and telling me I would never see a penny. Well so far, he is right. I have not seen a red cent from them. And quiet honestly I'm sick and tired of even thinking about this. Gorenter.com, Property Masters, Home America, with or without Mark B.

The day will come where they have to answer for all their wrong doings! I'm ready to participate in legal action against these people once again.

If you think you can help me with this process, Post and I will read. I will check every single day for new postings.
All I want is what's owed to me. They refuse to pay, but that will change!

GoRenter.com Rental scam/consumer abuse

I entered into an agreement with GoRenter in April 2008. The experience was a nightmare from the point of signing the contract. For one, I was misled regarding the monthly rent of the property and was not informed until appearing to sign the lease agreement that the rent would be $50 more than advertised. The explanation was I had to pay taxes. In retrospect I realize that was an outright lie. That was just their way of padding the rent to skim off their own profit. Further a few days after moving in the owner arrived shocked that I had moved in because he stated he had asked they not rent the house because he needed to sell. This company is merciless and nasty. Bottom line. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere and save ourself stress. Don't be fooled by your initial interactions with them. It all falls apart once the rental agreement is signed.

GO RENTER.COM is an joke. They will let the phone ring and ring and ring and ring and ring before you ever get to speak to a live person. Upon a miracle someone will answer and before you can get through one questions they transfer you to the WRONG PERSON making you have to go through the whole calling them over and over again process. They are extremely rude every time i call. They did falsify the contact stating I would pay $1000.00 a month but really its $1400.00. I will never in my life time ever rent from them again. I wish nothing more but for them to go out of business. Their employees are quitting left and right and no one seems to know what the heck their job really is down there. They seem to always be "out to lunch" or "gone for the day". How sad is that. I will report them daily if i have to so they will never get business from people who have down nothing wrong but get sucked into signing a lease with this shameful company. I would never recommend them to anyone and I hope they get what they deserve.

We currently rent a condo from GoRenter, they are charging us $100+ what the rent actually is, we are responsible for all repairs, even the ones that needed to be done when we moved in; the closet door not being on, the hot water leaking on the washer, tubs that don't drain, loose toilets, etc. etc. And don't ever be late with your rent, heaven forbid! Rent is due on the first no grace period whatsoever its supposed to be a $50 fee for the first day and $5 each additional day but they must not know how to add because we've ended up paying them almost $1700 in late fees. The a/c crapped out and then when they "repaired it" it still didn't work so they ended up replacing the whole thing which thank goodness was at the owners expense although the poor guy was probably swindled out of that 4 grand. They won't answer the phone, everyone in the office is on a different page, no one gives you a straight answer! What a sham!

I lease a house from GoRenter which was adertise for $1000.00 and when I signed the lease contract the total for a months lease was $1150 per month. I tried to get released from the lease for this fradulant act but was threatened with full cost of the lease. This was the first home I have ever leased. The first week I had no heat ( November and temp down in the 30's), and the kitchen sink was blocked. I had to pay for service fee for both the heating and plumber for a total of $100.00. The kitchen was not considered an emergercy so I waited 15 days to use the kitchen sink and dishwasher. I called repeatedly and e-mailed Go Renter. They would not reduce my monthly amount. In June of 2009, I noticed a water leak in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms. Called immediately, paid for another service fee and three days later and three service people the leak was found and fixed. In this process, an AC repairman cut a 2 1/2 foot hole in the ceiling and the AC person would not replace the ceiling. I called Gorenter and it took 56 days, , , I repeat 56 days to replace the ceiling. My AC bill for that time was over $400 dollars per month. I called and e-mailed repeatedly to have to resolved and finally held back my months rent until the ceiling was repaired. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM gorenter EVERY AGIAIN NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY ONE. I am sorry to see that Gerenter screws over both owners and renters. SAD, SAD, SAD. I have reported them to the BBB and the Realtor Board..

I hired GoRenter.com to manage my property in June, and now it is August. In that short time, they have 1.) given the combination of the lock box to potential tenants in order to view the property themselves vs. having an agent present, 2.) they allowed an illegal move-in by giving the key to a person for 3 full weeks WITHOUT A SIGNED CONTRACT, and 3.) they blow you off with their lack of communication and then pretend that nothing happened.

It is unbelievable to me that this company is even in business, especially after hearing the variety of experiences. Had I done my homework, I NEVER would have gone with GoRenter.com and I have voiced my experience to all of my colleagues and newsletter subscribers. The word IS getting out about this company's practices, and I hope that potential tenants and those considering using GoRenter as their PM will not use this company. If you do, you will regret it.

I recently rented a home from gorenter.com and have had a great experience so far. The people at gorenter.com were courteous and professional and found us a great house in the school district we wanted to be in. We looked all over and went to other property management companies and none of them had the inventory or insight that gorenter.com did. I highly recommend them to others searching for a great rental property!

I leased my house to GoRenter and they put some tenants in it who got evicted. The house needed minor repair but anything over $400 I had to pay for out of pocket. I already pay a monthly management fee, a yearly sign up fee AND an advertising fee so they can put someone of "reputable status" in my house.

When these idiots got evicted GoRenter went in and took my house desk and my BOLT ON PATIO FURNITURE..this is furniture that needs to be assembled and disassembled to move. This was my furniture that was at my house from my pocket before the eviction. When GoRenter came in to remove the old tenants they "mistakenly" cleaned out my original furniture. When I asked how they plan to reimburse me they said "oh well nothing is on your lease agreement saying you had furniture there". I told the leasing agent 20 times I was leaving this there because its modular bolt on furniture..GoRenter trashed it without even contacting me saying "people leave stuff there all the time and we didnt know it was yours"..So no reimbursement and I am pulling my house from GoRenter

NEVER EVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY..THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND PUT PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE THAT ROUTINELY GET EVICTED! This is by far the single worst property management company in arizona and they should never be allowed in business let alone out to prey on others. They are savages, animals and deserve to be locked up as such. The worst kind of user!

This company has been the worst experienced in my history of 25yrs in Real Estate. I cannot believe they are still getting away with thier scams and fraud. I am heading into ledagation because I entered a contract with them and they delivered NOTHING but the fees remain and GROW as long as you property is vacant. They will high sell you on getting it rented for top dollar and bring you low ball offers from people who dont even have enough money to put down a security deposit. I would recomend you read the whole contract WORD FOR WORD (if your lucky enough to even get a copy of it)because you will be reviewing it with your attorny shortly after signing it. Believe nothing they tell you because they will lie.I have never seen so many fees back doored into a contract in my life. They have on staff Attorneys because that is the true core of thier income. I promise you will be sorry if you choose this company!

GoRenter.com Scammed

I entered a lease purchase agreement with this company and it has been a nightmare for the past 2 years. They lied to me and for that I was sued by the homeowners not once but twice for the their mistakes and lies. I have email after email with a representative from Home America who told me how to "Legally" get out of the lease we did everything he told us to do. My family have lost over $35, 000.00 in the past 2 years dealing with that company and the owner of the property. We moved out of the home in 4-07 and we are still paying the price in legal fees and time. This is how rediculus these people are, we received a itemized bill that showed they had to pay someone 3k for a paint job. We used half of the house in 17 mos. There were rooms we didn't as much sit in and yet they had to paint the whole house, BS! We are going to fight back with all that is in us, they can not keep scamming consumers and getting away with it.
