General Mills Cheerios and quaker oats

To whom it may concern,

It is with great regret that I will no longer be consuming your products. In light of the recent scientific analysis of your products, showing to contain the chemical Chlormequat I will no longer be using them. I have been a Cheerios fan my whole life, and most recently have had cheerios every day for the past 23 years. I have also fed this to my children as well, for most of their young lives. I am very disappointed and dismayed over this finding. Until I see another independent scientific study showing it safe to consume, I will no longer be using your products. I have to now throw away a $7 unopened box of Cheerios, because I just cant put another spoon full in my mouth knowing what I know.

With Regret. Philip Ruzzi

General Mills Nature valley sweet & salty nut almond chewy granola bar

On 2/19/2024 I was eating the above mentioned product when I bit down on two pieces of nut shell. One piece was large enough to cut my gum and if I had bit down harder it would have broken a tooth.

Code number on packaging: BB 11JUN2024 EV2 01:59

Purchased at Fred Meyer, Burien, Wa

Claimed loss: A little pain and blood.

Desired outcome: Keep the nut shells out of your granola bars. It is hard to eat these without taking great care and small bites.

General Mills Rice Chex Cereal CI055017C Used by Dec. 24, 2024

I opened the above subject cereal box this morning (2.08.24), and found the plastic liner to be unsealed, and wide open. It would appear that the plastic liner was never sealed, and the box packaging was closed without inspection of the plastic liner being sealed, The packaging likely has been wide open for several weeks, so I do not plan to eat the cereal because I am uncertain if it is safe to eat. The Rice Chex cereal (C1055017C) was purchased from Amazon on 1.31.24, and delivered on 2.04.24.

Claimed loss: The product cost is in the 4 to 5 dollar range, and the inconvenience of buying a replacement product along with the time spent advising you of this product failure should have some value.

General Mills Nature valley crunchy granola bars

I have been eating these nature valley crunchy bars for many years, but I am on the hunt for something that I can actually open without ending up having a big pile of crunchy oatmeal crumbs. The new packaging is horrible, crushed beyond belief, unless you have a sharp pair of scissors close by. My 90 year old mother-in-law simply can't get the package open and I can't let her loose with a pair of sharp scissors. Please bring back the old packaging so that I don't have to leave a brand i've been loyal to for years!

Desired outcome: Change the packaging

General Mills Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut - Dark Chocolate Peanut and Almond

My wife eats this product almost daily. This past week she showed me one of these bars and stated that it had no chocolate chunks on top nor any almonds. She was not exaggerating. When I asked, she told me that the whole box of 6 bars had been that way. I asked where the box was in order to get a lot number, but it had already been thrown out.

This product was purchased at either the Food Lion in Portland, TN or the Walmart in Franklin, KY.

Quite disappointed that your quality control missed this problem.

Desired outcome: Coupon for replacement of defective product.

General Mills Nature valley sweet & salty granola bars

Dear Customer Service Rep's,

I have had a disturbing find in your product line. I have been purchasing the above product for years. Over the last several months the Bars have consistantly shrunk in size. The packaging minus the heat crimp allows for a 5" bar and now it contains a 31/4" bar. Totally unsatisfactory. I discovered this a few months back and wrote it off as a fluke mistake. Unfortunately my most recent purchase proves otherwise. I buy these on a monthly basis and 4 boxes at a time from Sams. Please look into this matter and respond. These are quite costly for no more than what I am recieving. I do have photos of the product unopened and opened to validate my finding.

Sincerely

Marvin Letsinger

General Mills Nature Valley soft-baked Muffin Bars

I purchased Nature Valley soft-baked Muffin bars on August 31at Publix.

The best if used by date is 27 Feb 2024 Bar code16000917941.

This is a terrible product. The taste, texture and appearance is degrading any image of General Mills quality care. How could this product have passed any product managers approval to become part of Nature valley?

The flavor purchased was Apple Cinnamon, its so bad I cannot imagine you people nodding in agreement to market this product.

Desired outcome: Please refund $4.69 and have the product developer and marketing mgr. admit to short comings due to and Why.

General Mills Progresso vegetarian vegetable soup with a bone in it!

On the evening of 3/2/2023 I opened and heated a can of Progresso Vegetarian Vegetable soup which I purchased at the Giant Food store on Richmond HWY in Alexandria VA.. As I was eating the soup I noticed a large, sharp bonelike piece in my mouth, and after spitting it out and examination I confirmed it to be animal matter, almost certainly bone from a rodent most likely a rat. It has marrow in the middle and what appears to be flesh still attached to it.

Needless to say I am appalled and disgusted and feel that there should be payment to me for endangering my health or even life as this bone in about an inch long and sharp in the ends. I could have choked. Progresso should get a large fine for a customer finding a rodent bone in a can of vegetarian soup.

The can of soup has large GA (Georgia?) printed on the bottom and an expiration date of 14 DEC 2024 HN. I have retained the can if needed. I would like to report this to the appropriate federal agency and I'll also be sharing this experience with the local news station. Hopefully they will air story so that others can know the filthy conditions existing in Progresso factories.

Desired outcome: I am disgusted. There should be payment to me for endangering my health/life The bone in an inch long w? sharp ends. I could have choked. Progresso should get big fine for customer finding bone in a can of vegetarian soup.

I do keep a thermometer in the fridge and there is one on the door (as I am a certified Cook and also certified in restaurant management}. Following are the expiration date and manufacture #. I wanted you to be aware that there was a problem with the product end caps blowing off and the rolls literally were blown out of containers,

General Mills Rice Chex

I am very disappointed with the quality of the Rice Chex I bought to make my Holiday Chex-Mix. I bought two 12 oz boxes (UPC Code [protected]) and both boxes were about 30% unusable crumbs. I have used corn chex and rice chex for 20+ years and have never had this much waste to throw out for the birds. Guess I should switch to Crispix as others in my family have done.

General Mills General customer service practices and use of gmo ingredients.

First of all, I am extremely frustrated with your customer service. I called for an answer to a simple question. For my trouble it took me 30 minutes to get a non-answer. The first person could not simply answer the question but had to transfer me to someone else. I got a reference number [protected]. The second person I got could not answer my question and refused to get me a supervisor and insisted I had to be transferred. Angrily, I told the person to transfer me. Advised the expiration date was 5/22. Could not simply say would be good for another 6 months, etc. Just assured me it would be same if I decided to consume.

It is evident the customer service has been outsourced to another country. I don't know who is training those people, but the way they respond is annoying. It sounds like they are reading from a poorly written script. They sound insincere and robotic. Unless I am wrong English is not their first language. They do not speak in a natural conversational tone.

Overall, I will stop buying any products from Epic and General Mills! Also, recently realized the Progressive soups now contain GMO ingredients. All current purchases are being returned to their respective retailers. I will be sharing my opinion with others. Shame on you for not having Americans doing your customer service. I guess we are just too expensive and knowledgeable. I have been in customer service for 37 years and this was a truly horrible experience.

Desired outcome: There will probably be no resolution to my complaint, but hire Americans that purchase your products as Customer Service Agents. Stop using GMO ingredients.

General Mills Cheerios

I was extremely troubled when I read that General Mills was one of the companies that pulled advertisements from TWITTER after it was taken over by Elon Musk. It indicates to me that the leadership of General Mills aligns itself with the political left and wishes to promote censorship of information that contradicts the political left's narratives. It is not reasonable to suspect that Elon Musk will allow dialog on the TWITTER platform that is truly "hate speech", but rather that he will not continue the practice of previous leadership of TWITTER that censored conservatives and information that was true and correct yet contradicted the narratives of the political left. Therefore, until General Mills returns to the previous normal amount of advertising on TWITTER, I will avoid purchasing General Mills products to protest against the stance the leadership of the company has taken against Elon Musk's control of TWITTER.

General Mills bad advertising decision

Do not diss Elon Musk and over half the country by pulling General Mills Twitter ads! If you mess around like this, I, and millions of others will sell our stock, never touch General Mills products again and social media how stupidly political General Mills overpaid (no doubt) executives reacted to Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter. Get on board and ride the new wave coming or be ready for a buy out when GMills stock hits all-time low.

STAY OUT OF POLITICS! Focus on good product production.

Fire the advertising team if they can't do better! Boring ineffective ads for years!

Desired outcome: Double General Mills advertising on Twitter! Get cleaver with the advertising, think outside your own head, the box holding the funny, cute, non-political ideas to sell GMills products. And always stay out of politics
