Funding Resource Network I was billed 24.95 for services I did not receive.

A charge for 24.95 appeared on my checking. I have no idea how my card number and information was even obtained. It was paid to Fun Source. I not only was charged 24.95 but was charged 42.00 in services charges. I am 75. I am on a fixed income. This may not be much to some but to me it will be major amount.
Thank you for any assistance you can give me.
Sincerely Coy Satan Oroville Calif.
The only company I could find with this name was in Brinham Al. I am very concern how my information was obtained. I did not use it to make a purchase on line in a long time. I have only made a single purchase on line in my life. This was over 6 months ago. I bought a part for my car. Please contact me and I will provide specific information to this matter. [protected]@gmail.com. I do not want others to experience this problem. I now know the importance of never using my banking information on line. I will purchase a debt card to make purchases with for the amount of purchase. I would like to see the persons responsible caught.

Loans vs Grants:
Highlighting the differences between Grants and Loans
Before you can get a full understanding of what companies like Funding Resource Network do, you must first understand the difference between Grants and Loans. With the recession at an all time high for our generation, it is still a wonder that banks are able to give out loans. Loans can seem like a saving grace at a moment’s first look, but the negative quickly becomes apparent when you need to pay the loan back. Interest rates are high, making loans even less attractive right now. Most loan agencies, often called "loan sharks", will start charging you interest on top of your base payback and what you owed on the last payment if you’re late with your money, continuing to pile up each time you fail to make a full or on-time payment. Then as your debt grows with them, your credit score steadily declines. This in turn makes it harder to obtain the things you need.
The most obvious alternative to loans, are grants. Grants are becoming an increasingly popular method of obtaining business and personal funds. To start with, grants are given by the Awarder, whether it is a government, large corporate or personal donation, to the recipient of the grant without having to pay a cent back. In a lot of ways, grants are "free money". Secondly, grants are non-taxable for the recipient. The money you are given could also be used for different types of investments, giving you opportunities to further your money amount. Often times, people even donate their money to non-profits, earning them a chance to qualify for another grant or tax write offs, not to mention the satisfaction of doing a good deed. It seems clear that in the eyes of the individual, obtaining grants are clearly better than taking out loans. Companies like Funding Resource Network, make this process as simple as possible.
The standards of allocations Funding Resource Network presents their customers involve: Allocations for Not for Profits, Study, Business, Community Growth Grants, Women's Allocations, Educational Allocations, Individual Grants, Minority Grants, and Housing Allocations. Most people start to complain when a process does not move fast enough to fit their fancy.

Accomplished, experienced grant writing consultants are in demand and they are not cheap. Therefore, you should do as much of the preparation work as possible yourself. This will allow you to spend your consulting dollars where they are really needed — the actual grant writing. Also, the better prepared you are, the more likely you will be to attract the best grant writers. Before you engage a grant writer, you should already have:

1.Defined the project or program you want to get funded.
2.Developed the essence of your “Case for Support.”
3.Identified prospective grant sources for the project or program.
4.Determined who will actually solicit the funds and how they will do it.
Begin the definition process by first setting your grant-seeking priorities as they fit within your organization’s long-range strategic plan and mission. The three basic areas for which you are likely to be seeking grants are to:

1.Create new programs and services.
2.Support ongoing programs and services.
3.Provide annual operating funds.
Then clearly and precisely define each project or program for which you will seek grants in terms that grant-making organizations will recognize and respond to. Make sure that while you’re doing this you also plan for life after the grant. How will you support the project or program in the future if it is to last longer than the timeframe covered by the grant? It’s a question every grant making organization will want answered.

Fees charged by grant writers will range far and wide. But from what I have seen, experienced and capable grant writers charge about $60 per hour. I’ve seen some fees in the area of $100 per hour and more, and then I have seen some very low fees—well under $50. I believe that the $60 to $70 per-hour range is usual, and with the right person, it is fair and reasonable. Naturally, the hourly rate and the resultant total fee will be significantly impacted by the relative efficiency of each grant writer. As well, grant writers could charge by the project once they assess the full range and scope of the job, but the flat fee for time expended would probably closely factor out to the hourly rate I cited.

However, as I strongly encourage in my article, neither party should in any way arrange compensation to be paid on a “contingent-pay” basis. That is, do not enter into a contract which would have a grant writer paid a commission, bonus, or percentage of a grant award—or from any other available funds.

This information was very helpful. Myth 1: There is no money available; the grant-writing well has dried up. Wrong! Money is tighter these days but there is still hundreds of millions of dollars waiting to be taken. Furthermore, those who are entrusted with dispersing this money are just as eager to give it away as we are to receive it.

Myth 2: The money that is available goes to big, prestigious institutions, not to individuals or to small institutions. That statement is half true. Enormous amounts of money are given to the same institutions, year after year. But it is not simply because grant agencies are impressed with the institutions' prestigious names. It is because certain individuals at those institutions have proved themselves good stewards of the money. Furthermore, small institutions and people who are "unknown" to the general public are getting hundreds of millions of dollars. But these people are not so unknown to the grant agencies. They have established reputations for delivering quality service and managing their budgets wisely -- two skills that you can easily master.

Myth 3: Successful grant writing requires connections, and I don't have any. This excuse begs for rebuttal. Connections can help but they aren't required. What's required is the ability to craft a quality proposal that will convince grant givers that you will give the most and best in return for their money. You can do this by keeping one eye on the foundation's request for proposals (RFP) to make sure that you have addressed each of its goals in your application.

Myth 4: Meeting the deadline is the most important goal of a successful grant writer. Not exactly. The two most important goals are to produce a top-quality proposal and target it to the right grant agency. Far too many professors succumb to the urge to put deadlines ahead of everything else. Resist firing off 11th-hour proposals to meet a last-minute deadline. Slow down, produce a quality proposal, and submit it to the agency next year or submit it to a similar agency now.

Myth 5: Collaborating with colleagues will give more time for grant writing. Unfortunately, just the opposite is true. Collaborating on a grant actually requires more time than writing one alone. This does not mean that collaboration is bad. But if you decide to pursue a grant with colleagues, take time from the outset to clarify the roles of all participants. Above all, choose partners who are compatible and who have similar work habits. Choose self-motivated, Type A personalities. People with Type B personalities won't get beyond talking about grant writing anyway, so it really doesn't matter whether they choose to collaborate.

Myth 6: Grants are awarded to those applicants with the greatest needs. Most grants go to applicants whose proposals seem most likely to deliver services and meet the agency's goals better than all other applicants. So, instead of focusing on your needs, focus on how your strengths can meet the grant agency's goals. What unique attributes do you, your institution, and your region have that can be used to excel at meeting those goals?

Funding Resource Network Business fraud

They are ###. Funding Resource Network is a fraud just like many of these types of companies in Las Vegas. Todd Christian, so-called funding director, worked for Small Business Funding, Corporate Capital Team, and other scam grant companies. This thief is known to take his entire earnings and party on crack cocaine every weekend.

He lives in run-down roach motel.

They are located on Patrick Lane, less than a mile from Delta Innovations/Corporate Capital Team on Green Valley Pkwy. Gregg Thompson, is the owner and head-scammer.

The YouTube videos by Dr. Roskelly are truthful. Do not give these pirates a dime.

Run to the nearest exit, or better yet, take a weekend and pay them a visit.

It will impress you. The place is a dump.

We sent them $3, 000 last year & we have received nothing. We are trying to get our money back but we are just being ignored. Do not deal with this company. They are a scam. They made it sound like we had already got the grants. All they needed was the money to start the process. All the letters we have received says they are only for non-profit organizations. The company wanted $3, 000 more to change our letter. This place needs to be put out of business before they rip someone else off.

There is noting sinister in commencing a new business with a new entity. Land developers usually create new entites for each development they commence. This iis to protect the investments in the other businesses of that developer.

Having taught law for some 15 years, the insinuation indicated in the post is misapplied and inappr0opriate

The principals of this company have operated several corporations over many years prior to utilizing this particular name for a new operation. If one is to look at the construction business, the same developer commences a different corporation for each development he engages. There is NOTHING sinister in creating a new entity for a different business. Please keep this in mind.

Does it seem suspicious to anyone that they claim to be in business for 10 years, yet they have only been registered with the Nevada Corp Commission since 2009?
