Flycell Scamming

Says Freepass or trial, then they charged me $19.99 on my sprint bill - sound familiar?
Same with a company called Ring N Rock Credits and Dadal where you are lured on a trial subscription, and even if you were active for 10 minutes and cancelled via text saying STOP and Cancel you already got charged on your bill. We have to group against these scammers
Dada charged $9.99, Ring N Rock charged 9.99. How low can these companies go in taking people's money? I am disgusted

It was during a survey when @ after completeing the survey they were giving two ringtones for free, so i agreed to have the two ringtones for free @ they just out of the blue dipped into my moms account and sent a $19.99 charge to us on the next day. When the site offerd me to download this unlim.club pack i did not!, but closed it and still the next day had to explain to my mom what happened.

Thought I was signing up for a trial, but immediately charged $9.99 on my Sprint bill. Called Sprint and said they would email flycell and get my charge credited to my account, but may take up to 3 months. Called Sprint after 3 months and supposedly no record of my conversation with Sprint customer service rep, and that I have to "try" to get the credit myself!
This B.S. should be against the law! I am sooooooo mad!

I am being charged for services that i never could get in the first place, because flycell does not deal with verizon customers. I would not be so mad if i actually receive the service.

I searched for a movie called ‘Inglorious ### and found the movie on a site called ‘Global World News’. I clicked on a free download for the movie and then was asked to enter my cell phone number. After entering my phone number there was no download and I closed the site. Later I saw a message on my cell phone that I had become a member of the Flycell Club. I found this strange as I had seen nothing on the download process or anywhere else that mentioned Flycell. I then checked my cell phone and found I had been billed at least 5 Euro which is their weekly rate. (I had less than that remaining before the charge but I now had nothing left) I have attempted to close my account on their website, but I do not trust this company. Their practices are not only unethical but illegal in my opinion.

I would like advice on how to take action against Flycell and Global World News.

Just got my AT&T bill today 10/4/07 and a charge for Flycell at $9.99. I had never heard of them and had never subscribed. I have kept all of my text messages and have never received one from Flycell. They are slamming people so be on the lookout. I reported it to AT&T who said they would apply for a credit and to watch for it in 2 billing cycles. Meanwhile, I must pay it. I doubt I'll ever see the credit. This is nothing short of robbery, and explains why Flycell is reporting such huge sales.

I am also a Verizon customer and I also have been charged by Flycell for services that I did not order or subscribe to. I contacted the BBB and Flycell was only willing to stop charging me but not refund what I was already charged and paid for. I plan to fight it until I get my money back.

Flycell un authorized monthy charges to cell phone

I played a IQ game on MSN internet explorer - to find what my score was I needed to input my cell phone number - I did and have been charged a recurring monthly charge of $20.00 a month. I called my cell phone carrier At&t to complain - they blocked my cell phone from purchases and reversed the purchase. Flycell is operating under totally bogus intentions and needs to be shut down.

Flycell scam/unsolicited practices and illegal billing

This company scams people out of money and illegaly solicits people's cell phones. My husband does not text and barely knows the feature exists on his phone. I recognized that our bill had been too high for two months and saw a charge from Flycell on the ATT wireless bill. When I called the customer service lady told me that this company solicits and preys cell customers randomly by sending texts msgs informing people that they will be enrolled in a subscription with their company if they don't dispute or stop it. My husband doesn't check any texts as he doesn't care about them, so this new 19.99 charge was automatically added to our bill for ringtones/games from this Flycell company and went undetected for several months. This should be illegal! You can't tell people that you're going to put them on a subscription and charge them without their consent. I want this company stopped, and so does ATT. They are taking the brunt of complaints and this company is stealing money from people that don't closely check their bill for hidden charges.

Flycell Scam

Flycell.com is a huge scam. They lure you in with a BS thing about an IQ test and then never even give you the answer to your IQ test. As soon as you put in the pin number they give you they bill you $20. Huge scam. Stay away.

I called their 800 number to try and make sure I wasn't charged and was told that I would be charged the $19.95 service fee for the first month. I said I didn't want it and that I didn't want to be charged, but they were adamant that I would be charged and there was nothing I could do about it.

I called my cell phone provider and they were very helpful and are going to try and get the charges reversed.

Flycell Took Cell phone money without my notification

I was browsing on the internet when I answered a questionare. When I went to receive the answer a page poped up that told me to enter my cell phone number, I did so, A text was sent to my phone later saying to enter the code in for the answer. I did so also. I got the answer and never thought anything about. The next day when I went to use my cell phone money was takin from my account and a text was on my cell, saying, Flycell tried to bill me 19.99 but was unable to confirm, I did not reply. I was upset and called flycell to ask them how they got my permission to take my money. I was told by typing the code in that flycell gave me back into the computer was giving them an ok to take my money from me. There was never anything stated about subscrbing or paying a monthly bill or anything about the word or company Flycell. I did not find out that they would bill or who or what this business was until they had already taken my money.
It took four tries before I could even get the phone call to bring me to anyone it would just hang up, and when I finally did speak to someone I could not hardly understand the man, he was rude, would not tell me if I was even unsubscribed if money would or would not continue to by taken from me, refused to let me speak to a manager or someone else would make it more clear, then hung up on me. I called back and got a women who said I would not get a refund and was not able to use their services unless I keep my name subscribed. I unsubscribed my name meanwhile I did not get a refund and can not use their services even though they took my twenty dollars. I know 20$ is not alot but it is the point that this business is a fraud, and should have to state that they take money and give you nothing for it before they take it. some one should do something about this, it cant be legal is it?

Flycell stealing my money

Out of nowhere I had 176 dollar phone bill, they charged me 43 dollars for a service I did not even order. This is for two months worth of this "service". I think this is unacceptable and that these people should be charged with theft and fraud. I never once signed up for this and now I am another 43 dollars in the hole. at&t refunded my money but its not until another month so i still have to pay for this s**t for now. this is BULL.

I just got my phone bill from verizon wireless and there are 16.18 worth of charges for some kind of jokes that were text messeged to me. I did not order this service nor do I want it. I would like to be credited on my verizon account. I don't even carry text messeging on my cell phone.

I ordered a ringback tone and received a totally different one than I had paid for. It also charged my phone 30 minutes of airtime for this wonderful opera song! I would appreciate it if someone would fix it. And my advice is don't get hooked into enering your cell phone number for lousy songs.

I live in Spain and have not replied to any text or downloaded anything from Flycell and yet they have managed to take 39 euros of the 60 euros credit l have out on pay as you go phone. There does not seem to be anyway of stopping this company making millions of pounds by stealing peoples money, surely this cannot be right!

Flycell flycell scam

just so you know, you dont even have to sign up for free ringtones or even go the the flycell site, they just find your phone number and bill for nothing you have signed up for. I have never heard of this site, have never downloaded a ringtone on my phone, but I have been charged 9.99 every month for four months in a row. Dont even try to call flycell customer care, because their phone number is not a working number, its bogus. Thank god Tmobile credited my account for all the charges, and has blocked flycell from billing me anymore.

I have an AT&T to go phone. Im using it for the mere fact that Im staying in the US temporarily for a vacation. I loaded $25 through a refill card purchased at Walmart last November 27, 2009 and after loading, there was a text message from 69999 saying that I was billed $19.00 for purchasing something from flycell. I didnt purchase anything. I texted STOP to the same number, yet it the $19.00 was still deducted on my newly refilled load.

I cannot allow such theft happening and I am helpless because I cannot do anything about it. Can someone stop Flycell?

Flycell:.com charged my cell phone 9;.99 for 6 months under the label "Premium Messageing"|. The cell phone company says it was for ring tones or wallpaper! I have never ordered ringtones or wallpaper from anyone!

Verizon won't help although it is obvious they are familiar with the scam, .

I tried to call Flycell'. The first thing the customer service operator (in India - I asked) asked for was my cell number because I called on an unlisted land line'. I hung up:. If I give them my cell number what will they charge me for next?

I can't believe someone can steal money and no one can do anything about it.

I don't know how this started but I want it to stop! I have received 3 texts per day on my pay as you go phone in Spain for over two months now. These cost me around 1 euro each. The other day I got around 12 one after another and just had to watch my credit disappear. So frustrating. I have been on the website and entered my number into their 'unsubscribe' section but it will not recognise my number. There must be something i can do. This is a phone I have to stay in contact with my children and, as soon as i top up, these thieves take my money. Please help me.

they have several avenues on the website to illegally and unsolicited charges for thier service. starts with something as simple as take this 10 question IQ test on facebook. you have to enter cell number and they will send you the results. seems harless enough. Then they send a code to your phone that you enter on the website in order to get test results. You never get the test results and BANG you just signed up for a 19.95 monthly charge to use flycell services. Boy was I mad. Sneaky and totally dishonest. I called the number on the website and it routed me to India, where you get a liar with a thick accent and says his name is Ryan Miller, , yeah, , , , , , I ask to have the charges to be returned, they refused We ask to talk to his sup. naturally he wasnt there and his name was Alan Smith, , , good hindu names . We called our local carrier and thank God, got the charges removed. They also had heard about the flycell scam.

FLYCELL prey on innocent people at any expense just to make a buck!

Here is part of an email I sent Flycell: Get a real job and stop using people as pawns for your own greed! Robbing innocent people by luring them to a so call FREE IQ Test. How empowering that must feel especially since it's all your small uneducated brain can do in life. Who cares about people as long as you can use them to make their money your money. Ever heard of integrity, I doubt it.

These people are theives and must be stopped NOW!

Flycell How do they get away with this?

Received an unsolicited text from flycell on my cell phone. Soon there after I got a bill from T-Mobile that included 9.99 from flycell.com for services I never requested, used or authorized. T-Mobile was very helpful, and advised me to reply to the text with the word "stop" in the future. Didn't know it at the time and just deleted the text.

Unbelievable to me that alcatel continues to get away with it.

Apparently there is a class action lawsuit being launched against them...and rightly so. It's not right that our cell phone service has to police third party cheats.

I was on the Flycell website looking for ring towns that i would be willing to pay for. Entered my number to check and see if it works with my prepay ed phone and a week later in getting billed 10.00 for subscribing. They charge you 10.00 to "so called" subscribe even if you dont ever use it and they keep charging until you figure it out and finally un subscribe. Bunch of f-ing scammers stealing out hard earned money. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. 10.00 subtracted from a prepay phone is really alot. I wouldn't call it a company, but these people just want to steal your money.

How can a company rip off for an option that you don’t even have or utilized? Ask FLYCELL. THEY ARE CROOKS! DOWN WITH FLYCELL! I have wireless net and have no reason to even go to their site to get any ring tones, wallpapers, pictures etc. I received text messages that I had credits on their site. I just disregarded them as spam or junk where someone gave my number of something. I have never enrolled with this co. or even remotely acquired any information about this company. I have music on my iphone that I use for ring tones so why in the *** would I need this shabby company!

Companies like flycell have ruined the internet & cell phones with fraudulent practices. But cell companies are responsible for this fraud by selling out to these ripoff criminals. They target innocent children. Cell phone companies can refuse to accept advertising from any company. Phone companies get paid every time some innocent child or teen or adult clicks on a free ringtone or IQ quiz or responds to some text that will lock them into a very expensive trap. Phone companies lie to us that they are trying to stop this scam. Customer service sometimes even denies any knowledge of flycell but yet after lieing about it, they offer refunds to keep u from cancelling your cell phone account.

I am being charged $9.99 monthly on my phone bill for ringtone service that I do not use (never have). I don't know how or when it started. I called the number listed on their website, emailed their customer service, and texted "Stop" as instructed in a text that I received. About 2 minutes after I texted, I received another text from them alerting me that I can use some new ringtones. I just want to get rid of the charges, and seem to be getting nowhere. Help!

Very similar as to what happened to us. In my case, it was my 11-year-old's cell phone. He deleted opened texts, not realizing his parents (us) get hit with 3rd party charges. Talked to AT&T CSR; was explained to me that these companies sneak these charges in when you naively open their text messages. Way down at bottom of message is code and instructions how to stop it; otherwise, you're automatically subscribed, so you can't just delete; it puts the burden on customer to proactively put a STOP response to message. Don't know how they got access to cell phone number in first place. These are very unethical "service" providers. Flycell, FUNMOBILE are 2 to beware.

Flycell Terrible experience

I i was surfing a website (www.accuweather.com) where i saw a advertisement which had a 6 digit number and if you send a TEXT message you receive a FREE GAME (mark it here... FREE GAME !)... just by sending a text message they send a link and i was supposed to click on the link to ACTIVATE a service whereby they would send lot of ringtones etc... I NEVER CLICKED ON THAT LINK... but these scammers who know that their product is not WORTH THAT MUCH have partnered with SPRINT (my cell carrier) and billed that to my account... so nowadays it is not even necessary for people to give their credit card numbers etc... to risk getting billed... people please STOP SCAMMERS LIKE THIS FROM OUR SOCIETY!

Flycell unautorized charges on cell phone

IT IS TWICE NOW THAT I HAVE RECEIVED CHARGES ON MY CELL PHONE BILL I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. WHEN I CALLED MY SERVICE PROVIDER (ALLTEL) THEY TELL ME IT IS A THIRD PARTY THAT HAD TEXT MY NUMBER AND WE NEED TO TEXT MESSAGE STOP BACK TO THEM. BUT WE STILL HAVE TO PAY THE CHARGES. WHEN I CALLED FLY CELL THEY TOLD ME THEY TEXT MESSAGE AND IF YOU DON'T WRITE STOP BACK YOU WILL BE CHARGED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. WHY ARE THEY ALLOWED TO TEXT WHOM EVER THEY WANT AND CHARGE? ISNN'T THIS ILLEGAL?

I was looking to download some ringtones and was directed to this site for FREE ringtones. The site wanted my cell phone # for me to get on to look. NEVER once did it indicate that was I was authorizing them to bill my account $19.95. I looked around and realized there were no free ringtones to be had and I logged off. It wasn't until I received my cell phone bill that I realized they billed my account and also signed me up for a monthly charge of $19.95. What a ripoff. Thank God I called AT&T and they were willing to reverse the charge and cancel any future charges for me. BEWARE !

Pictavision Information-- They are charging my account $3.99 a month without me authorizing it as well with AT&T. Here is how it says to cancel on the Pictavision website: (http://support.dotphoto.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=5707)

How do I cancel my paid subscription?

To cancel your paid subscription, send a request to dotPhoto Customer Support.

You may cancel your paid subscription from the point of last billing. This means if you have been billed for this month, this month's billing will stand.

Any print credits you acquired are cancelled at the time the plan is cancelled. You should keep your account active until you have utilized all your print credits. Once the credits have been used, please contact dotPhoto so we can discontinue billing.

Cancelling your subscription does not close your dotPhoto account. Instead, your account converts to a free membership. dotPhoto provides free digital storage to our members as long as your account remains active. Your images stay in your active account until you delete them.

An account that is not logged in to or viewed for 90 days or does not have a purchase within the last year is considered inactive. If your account becomes inactive, your photos are removed. I been searching on the net about this "Flycell Scam" as I am a victim as well. I been receiving messges from Flycell about free ringtones last December which I did not accept. But since then I just keep on putting money on my Cellphone and losing it without using it. Just tonight I log on to my Cellphone provider website as I am so angry and desperate to find out what is going on and where does my money goes. This time I saw the details of my of Statement and all the money goes to Flycell. How can this company do this without my permission? and now, there is so many people here with the same experience and problems as I have.

My phone is now being charged by pictavision now, also. I'm going to contact at&t immediately to complain about this problem. Thanks to all of you for the information. This is an outrage!

We had the same experience, both with Flycell and Pictavision. Showed up on last 2 stmts. ATT is crediting our account. But now, I have to figure out how to stop it ongoing. Thanks for all the postings - now we know we aren't alone.

FlyCell.com just charged me $19.99 for services I didn't order. I called my telephone carrier and they credited my account, thankfully!
Flycell.com are definate scammers and I will be contacting the FCC, the BBB and the Attorney General.
I thought "PHONE-SLAMMING" was illegal!
