When trying to find a loan I came across this company. To make a long story short they wanted me to pay upfront for a loan. They required you to enroll in their program and then try to sell you other products as well. They make it sound like they have several places to choose from but most did not even offer what I was looking for. Good new is that I did find a few companies that would work for free. Life House Funding was one company I found and they were able to get me the loan I needed. All I have to say is before you give anyone money for a loan, think twice. Why wouldn't they just deliver first and you pay after unless they knew they couldn't produce.

This is a truthful comment and should be considered as such. I have posted this everywhere I could find because I don't believe in charging for loans. I believe if you can actually do what you say you can, should should get the loan and then charge a fee. If my perception of this company is incorrect i will delete this posting but I was told I had to sign up in order receive lender options and even still had no guarantee of approval. Which means I could end up paying for a service that did not delivered. The company I mentioned should also be researched and I don't suggest using any company without first doing research. There are several reputable companies that don't have a F or C revoked ranking with the BBB like Funding universe that changed it's name to ezunsecured and is now called lendio. They all have a bad ranking with the BBB. I wonder about any company that changes its name. You don't have to take my word for it, look at the BBB http://www.bbb.org/reno/business-reviews/financing-consultants/ez-unsecuredcom-in-reno-nv-90005647

So you mean a lending company actually asked you for proof of who you say you are and wanted documents to show that you qualify for the loan before just giving you $20, 000 plus scams work both ways how many times do you think a lender gets scammed, sounds like you were just looking to scam them.

Hmmm that has scam written all over it ... Doesn't a mortgage which is collateralize ask for the same papers, so an unsecured business loan shouldn't?
Your right if I could get a loan with out showing any information what so ever I'd be on the first plane to Vegas with a stack of chips on black

I received this quoted text below, via email. This is pretty scary stuff. He's asking for my personal info, drivers license, bank statements and void checks. Funny all those things include checking and routing numbers, name, age, address, phone etc... and I haven't even applied for the loan yet... Lendio is an obvious scam. Careful out there!

"Prior to our call, if you could please provide me with the following information I will be fully prepared to address what options we can explore on your behalf.

In order to get started, I simply need the following:

1) Please fill out our (1) page Application online through our secured link here --> Complete your application now

2) Send me the last (6) months of your business bank statements (January - June 2016) All pages

3) Copy of your drivers license

4) Copy of Voided Check from business bank account

As soon as I receive the above, I will confirm receipt and then get working on providing you real options to help finance your business. I look forward to getting started!

Thanks,
David Bernstein"

Just ridiculous! Don't go for Lendio!

Went through Lendio via Lendingtree.com

Everything was going well until I wasn't getting return calls from Lee Gavin. Then a guy named Jason Habanec called me and took over.

I sent them a lot of personal info, and finally they directed me to two websites: scoresense.com and creditchecktotal.com
I told them I already have access to my credit report via Experian credit monitoring service but they insisted I go and pay the fees.

So I did, but after I pulled my credit report, which was in the exact same format as my USAA Experian credit monitoring format, Jason told me, and I quote: "Once that is done you have to provide us with your username and password which you create in order to forward to the lender to get final approval".

Now this sounds like phishing to me. I do not even know who the lender is, and I have never met Jason, yet he wants me to give him my username and password to a website that I can actually dispute items on my credit report, has my credit card information I used to pay to buy the credit report.

Oh course I said no. I then contacting lendingtree.com, and they have never heard of such a practice, and they are investigating it. I also filed a report with the local Sheriff's department to ensure I am further protected.

My credit is very good, and I want to protect it, and I need a business line of credit, but this way of doing business is fishy, and is typical in what is known as Spear Phishing. See attached email photo print screen of the actual email. You should see the previous emails, but this is what really spooked me.

Never, ever give out your username and password to anyone. No matter what they say! I sent them an emailing telling them not sell, market, or use my info in anyway, and to destroy anything I have previously sent them. Your best bet is to go into a bank and apply for a business line of credit. They pull your credit on the spot using their system, and you are 100% protected.

I was shocked to see some of these comments about Lendio. They are the exact opposite from what I experienced. Maybe Lendio is being confused with EZUnsecured? I went through the entire Lendio process and they never once asked me for money -- it was free. The reps were very friendly and their online tools were helpful. Maybe it helped because I actually got approved for several loan options? Maybe those that didn't have any loan options were upset? Anyway, I highly recommend Lendio.

I am glad I found this complaintsboard...It has mentioned the two companies that I have both tried.

I was ripped off by Lendio few months ago...don't even want to start the story...they are so terrible...scam scam scam!

I recently just applied at Life House Funding. They helped me get a loan instantly. They are FREE and FAST. Great company.
If you search Life House Funding, they have good reviews on many sites.

Josh, what all did you purchase? Have you talked to Doug Minnick at Lendio? We'd like to clear up this issue and he's the guy to talk to.

Lendio charged me 500 dollars for something I was told different about. It is a 30 dollar monthly fee and i was suggested a buisness plan for 30 dollars as well. It came down to them charging me 500 dollars for something I would have never agreed to if i new about it in the first place. It is kind of irritating and I did'nt even get a loan.

The comment above is from a competitor called LifeHouse Funding that has been making negative posts about our company to damage our reputation. If you are looking for financing we would be happy to provide you with customer references. We would ask the negative commenter to identify the actual name of their business to the members of the site if they are legitimate.

This looks like a smear campaign by Life House Funding. There have been other similar comments on different sites. I think this comment is a spam, not the company it talks about.
