E4 Media Group client ripped us off

I would recommend not working with Lorraine Kruntz or compassionfundonline.com.

We were hired to create Compassion fund online and it was a nightmare.

She kept changing what she wanted over and over again. Then when I wanted to cut ties all together, and refund her the moneys paid, she created a new agreement. In fact this happened twice.

Finally she called me on July 4, 2009 telling me how great the site was. Then we emailed me saying everything was wrong.

She then charged back all the monies. We won the dispute and she has again charged back the monies and I will be filing a small claims case against her.

I would not do business with her if I was a web developer.

I am Larraine Kuntz. WOW! I guess it is good John Mueller changed his business name. Sit tight for the truth to this story.

I commissioned John Mueller, e 4 Media Group to build three websites on March 4th. '09.
All were to be completed by the end of April, "09. We agreed to a payment schedule based on stages of completion and I gave him the inital deposit to begin. He assured me that my credit card info would be shredded.

He used my credit card to pay himself not once but twice. By the time I got my statement he had paid himself in full, totally ignoring the terms of our contract. He claimed he had integrety and I should not worry. Now that he had been paid he had huge incentive to complete my websites. I am way too trusting! It was a nightmare alright. I would tell him no primary colors and i would be given a sample of all primary colors. It was as though nothing I said was heard at all. Yes, lots of changes. Not about what I wanted but about what I was getting. I started with my Honeymoon Fund as I wanted to catch the summer weddings. I had to give that up when May came and next to nothing was done. The back end programming was very similar on all three funds so we agreed to focus on Compassion Fund. I had begun to market this one instead since time was running out for June weddings.

One day he called me and offered to order some announcement cards I had been wanting to get. He offered to order them for me and save me some freight charge. The cards were $25.71 so I agreed. I offered my cc number and he said he had it. (another red flag) I am trying hard to keep the peace as I wanted my websites. If you have ever built a website you will understand how I felt. You are totally at their mercy to do a nice job for you. Weeks passed, many calls and emails...where are my cards?...never did get them. I did get my credit card statement. $1025.71. I called my credit cad company. They said to call the merchant, John Mueller. He said this was a mistake and proceeded to email me a refund receipt. I accepted this in good faith.

Fake refund receipt...I get my cc statement...no refund

Called John again...A SECOND FAKE REFUND RECEIPT!

I suspect the $1025.71 was what he owed his print shop. I never did get the cards.

I am up against a deadline to complete one website in time for a National Press Release announcing my new web service. I've extended the contract another month to the end of May. I am really nervous as this is going so slowly, communication is difficutl, he has already paid himsel in full with unauthorized payments and now I cannot get this $1000.00 returned to my cc. That is right ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.

I had to cancel my credit card. A real pain with auto drafts and all that goes with this.

I spoke to him about talking to my credit card company and discusing a dispute for the $1000.00 He told me to look at my contract. Any litgation would be in Michigan. You think I was getting nervous? He told me my deposit was not refundable...read your contract. I did. That is what it said alright. Meanwhile I am between a WALL and a ROCK. My Press release is getting nearer and nearer and beyond any point where I could stop it. Now we are out of contract again. The end of May has come and gone. It is mid June. He tells me he is over budget and wants to stop working on my project. He offers me a pathetic cancellation. I spoke with other programmers and they all told me they wouldn't even consider trying to finish some one else's work. I would need to begin all over. I begged John not to stop. The only way I could get him to continue was to offfer to let him keep the $1000.00 that he stole from me. I was so desperate that I said I would do this but I made another ammendment to our contract. I let him choose all of the new completion dates but I said if he failed to provide me with the secure, working website within our new dates I reserved the right to dispute the entire amount. I also stated that any litigation would be in Idaho. We both signed our new ammendment. What do you think happened? Right...He finally got the first site sort of done. We launched it with many problems. My home page didn't even work. There were so many security issues and I couldn't even get him to put a banner on it stating that it was not suitable for customer use. Phone calls, emails...no reply. I finally had to go into my admin and write a note myself on my landing page saying the site was not usable. I was frantic. My credit card company said I still had to give him the chance to remedy. I did. He refused to address any security issues. I CRIED FOR A WEEK. Finally I spoke with my credit card company and we decided to begin the long complicated credit card dispute process. I file, he has a chance to rebuttal, I have a chance to respond to his rebuttal. Then arbitration. He folded at the point of arbitration. I had full documentation of all our ammendments, emails fake refunds, threats to stop my project. You name it I had it all. My credit card company even took shots of some of the obvious things that did not work including my message to my customers. I had to pay another web developer to review my site and make a report on all the problems. This came to 70 pages! You have to prove a case like this. I had full records of all this outlandish behavior!

I won the dispute...OF COURSE!

I don't know what to say except that I am floored he would open a case like this. He filed this report against me. Now I get it. He has changed is business name. He no longer cares if this shows up against his domain. The real motive is that somehow he has managed to use the name of my website in an effort to cause me further harm! He is furious he was beat at his own fraudulent game. Now he has a [redacted] filed against MY NAME AND ANOTHER AGAINST MY DOMAIN NAME! I am furious. I still get emails that he wants to sue me! I have never been so badgered, mistreated, bullied, harassed or abused in all of my life. He has lied, cheated and stolen. He is guilty of unauthorized credit card use, fraud and even extortion. It is unbelievable, to me, he has the nerve to do this? Now he wants to add slander to his list. After all of this, I have had to begin all over from scratch to build my websites. I missed my press release. I lost a lot a credibility by not being able to deliver, who knows how much business. Now I get to deal with this? Oh, No. John Mueller has gone too far!

You decide...

E4 Media Group Fraud and cheating

John and Melissa Mueller of e4 Media Group (formerly Element 4 Advertising) hired our company to provide voice overs for a number of projects they were producing. They now owe us over $3, 200.

We thought we had a respectful, professional relationship with them but as their debts to us began to add up, they stopped communicating. We tried to arrange a monthly payment plan but it took multiple phone calls and emails every month to 'remind' them to send the payment. They remain in business in Grand Rapids as 'e4 Media Group', and have ignored our multiple emails, phone calls and snail-mail requests for payment.

Steer clear of working as a vendor for this company!

Here is another complaint. Long story but ended with John(owner of e4) telling me "it's not my job to give you a working website" Do you really want to pay a website designer that doesn't think it is his responsibility to give you a working website?

OK, well here's another complaint. E4 Media are currently going round the web spamming as many forums, blogs and bulletin boards as they can get their sticky paws on. Luckily, some of them have vigilant mods.

Listen there is no conspiracy here. element4 Advertising was an advertising agency...Not the best name for a company who was going to be focusing on website design and not advertising. So, the name was changed to e4 Media Group.

Then after a year one of the partners decided to stay at home and the company was in their name. So, that forced the company to change again. Thus, SquarePegWeb.com was born.

There is one vendor complaint out there. Not one employee was ever NOT paid nor was any customer ever not taken care of. In fact, even the complaint I posted, the customer and I are working things out. I have emails and recorded call to prove it.

So, every business has had problems over the last few years and none of us are perfect but there is no running here. Furthermore, if this is indeed a former employee making this post remember there are who still depend on me to support their families. So, you are not just hurting me but them as well.

I will answer any complaint and/or issue. I have NEVER ran from anyone. I have used the same cell number for over 6 years so anyone can still reach me.

MOVE ON!

The company is now operating under the new name of Square Peg Web Design at http://squarepegweb.com/

The fact that they have changed names numerous times over such a short period of time to keep burying their past debts should tell you something about their practices.

I would go as far as saying that your site looks like dog balls. BLAMO's right, validation errors abound, and it's just plain ugly. I would be ashamed to show anyone a site that looked that bad.

Seriously, what's up with trying to pass templates off as original work, Honestly, your site looks like it came from a free template from 1999.

Sean, you get what you pay for.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a great site, looks pretty dated and mediocre, bunch of validation errors and poor development standards, but I guess if you like it then whatever. I do know that company uses pre-made templates from templatemonster.com and tries to pass them off as their own, lame

http://www.flowersbylizwicklund.com/ can be found in their porfolio ( http://www.e4mediagroup.com/All_Sites/ ) and hey what do you know http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/11931.html

If you want quality work stay away from companies that use packages when trying to pitch you a site (ie basic site is $x.xx or 5 pages for only $x.xx), you may save a few bucks but you definately get what you pay for, and it's generally boring cookie cutter garbage.

BLAMO!

I do not know about their vendors but they built a great site for me. They did exactly what they told me they would do.

My website is www.YesYouCanAz.com
