I found about clear through a commercial around Oct 2011. At the time my wife worked from home and i had just bought my Ipad. The whole 4G service plan sounded like the best thing ever since she could use the wireless modem at home while i take my Ipad on the road using the small wireless device (apollo??). I pulled the trigger and started my trail period. Within the first 2 days we realized that the modem was not compatible with my wife's work equipment. Plus, the "4G" service was extremely horrible! Told me the connection was at my end and would have to pay a third party "Microsoft or The Geek Squad" for a additional charge. Could never get me connected. They sent me 2 new modems and stated they would be free, only to find out that they didn't work either and they charged my account a tax charge of 3.82 for each USB Modem. Have been with for over a year and all of a sudden from 5/18 PM to 5/23 AM I could not connect. It kept searching for network then tried to connect for over a minute, then would start searching all over again. My wife has same HP Laptop and has not used her computer...

DO NOT GET CLEAR INTERNET...IT IS SLOWER THAN DIAL UP IF YOU CAN EVEN GET A SIGNAL!!! After 7 months of phone calls to tech support 2 modems and being told to sit by the south facing window if that is where I get a signal (If I moved 5 feet from the window - no service), I called and canceled. That is when I was told that I have to pay $40.00 per device for a restocking fee. I have the wireless router and the air card so $80.00 to return products that do not work.
